  • 부유식 파랑에너지 변환시스템(Oscillating Water Column)에서 에너지 변환은 입력파와 챔버, 챔버내 공기의 상호작용으로 이루어진다. 이 논문은 파랑에너지를 기계적 운동으로 변환하는 기계적 특성을 해석한다. 단일 진동수 규칙파가 입력되었을 때에 파에 의하여 챔버의 상하운동이 선형적으로 발생하며, 이 상하운동은 챔버내의 압력 변화에 영향을 받는다. 상하운동과 챔버내로 투과한 파, 그리고 챔버내 압력에 의해 발생되는 파에 의해 챔버내의 상대운동을 정하고, 그 상대운동에 의한 공기의 압축 팽창과 온도상승을 근사적 열역학적 방정식으로 해석하여 오리피스를 통한 유량과 압력을 기준으로 에너지 변환요율을 결정하였다. 얻어진 식은 간단하면서도 관련요소의 영향을 전반적으로 표현한다. 개구율 변화에 따른 운동응답을 비교하였다.

Comparison of the Performance of the VAV Dampers for the Circular Duct (원형 덕트용 VAV 댐퍼의 성능 비교)

  • The performance of the typical VAV dampers; blade type, venturi type and blade-orifice type, for the circular duct, is obtained by measuring the volume flow rate as a function of the opening degree. The performance features are discussed by comparing the volume flow rate of each damper. It is shown that the blade-orifice type damper, recently developed, is excellent in its linearity of the performance and that it is worse than the blade type but much better than the venturi type in its flow resistance.

  • This paper introduces an irrigation facility for agricultural use of Rokugo alluvial fan in Yokote Basin, northeastern Japan. A cylindrical distributor of agricultural water is able to supply water accurately to seven irrigated areas through its 180 orifices and one circular baffle, implying that people around fan areas has been tenacious of agricultural water. It has been recently reevaluated as tourism resources or symbolic landscape reflecting regional characteristics even though its functional value has decreased.

Numerical Simulation of The Pressure-Flow Control Characteristics of Shunt Valves Used to Treat Patients with Hydrocephalus (수두층 치료용 션트밸브의 압력-유량 제어특성 수치해석)

  • The Present study analyzed the pressure-flow characteristics of a Korean shunt valve. Changes in the characteristic currie depending on the design parameters were also investigated. The Korean shunt valve used in the present study was constant pressure type and our analyses were validated through experiments. We applied fluid-structure interaction to solve the flow dynamic Problem because the small diaphragm in the valve was made from flexible silicone elastomers. Considering the material nonlinearity of the hyper-elastic material. the Mooney-Rivlin approximation was employed. The results of the numerical analyses were close to the experimental results The major Pressure drop was observed to happen in the small diaphragm. The slope of the pressure-flow characteristic curve was computed to be 0.37mm$H_2O$.hr/cc, which was similar to the average value of commercial shunt valves. 0.40mm$H_2O$.hr/cc. Therefore. our valves analyzed in the Present study showed a Proper Pressure control characteristics of the constant pressure type shunt valves. The opening pressure could be controlled by adjusting the amount of predeflection of the valve diaphragm. In order to obtain opening pressures of 25mm$H_2O$ and 80mm$H_2O$, respectively, and the required predeflection was found to be 10.2$\mu$m and 35.3$\mu$m. The flow orifice size was found to be within 10$\mu$m during valve operation Therefore, Precision design and manufacturing techniques are necessary for successful operations of the shunt valve. The study indicated the amount of predeflection as well as the magnitude of corner rounding of the diaphragm edge are important design parameters to influence the slope of the pressure-flow characteristic curve.

20인치 크라이오 워터펌프 (CWP) 배기성능 종합평가

  • 크라이오 워터펌프(CWP)는 크라이오 펌프(CP)와 달리 10 K 활성탄 어레이는 장착하지 않고 100 K 정도로 냉각시킨 배플만을 사용하여 물의 배기속도를 최적화 하는 데 초점을 맞춘 진공펌프다. 용기 압력이 10-9 mbar 대가 될 때까지는 잔류기체의 90% 이상이 수분이므로 다른 기체들의 배기 보다는 물을 잘 배기하는 것이 배기시간을 단축하고 도달 진공도를 낮추는 첩경이라는 아이디어에 근거를 두고 있다. CWP는 물 흡착확률을 거의 1에 가깝게 만들어서 오리피스 컨덕턴스에 육박하는 이상적인 펌프를 제작할 수 있지만 용도상 직부형(close type), 통과형(in-line type) 및 내장형(in-vessel type) 등 세 가지 다른 형태에 따라 성능도 약간씩 다르다. CWP는 모든 기체에 반응하는 정통적인 CP에 비해 훨씬 간단하고 저렴하게 만들 수 있으면서도 진공 시스템에 큰 영향을 미칠 수 있지만 물 이외의 기체들을 배기할 펌프가 필요하다는 측면에서 활용에 제약이 있다. 만일 TMP를 이미 사용하고 있거나 작은 TMP를 추가로 달아서 충분히 작동이 가능한 시스템이면서 수분 발생이 많은 곳이나, 또 활성탄의 오염이나 산소 분위기 등 CP 투입이 꺼려지는 환경이라면 CWP 사용이 좋은 선택이 될 수 있다. CWP의 물 배기용량은 CP의 알곤이나 질소 배기용량에 준하는 크기로 0.5g/cm2 이상임이 실험적으로 입증되었다. 따라서 일반적인 상황에서 정상 작동시 대부분의 기체는 TMP로 배출하고 잔류 수분만 포집하므로 CP처럼 주기적인 재생이 필요 없다. 필요하다면 CWP는 금속 표면에 응축된 물을 드라이펌프 작동만으로 쉽게 제거할 수 있고 혹시 오염 물질이 붙어도 세척이 용이하다. 이런 사용상 융통성과 여러 가지 장점에도 불구하고 그동안 물배기에 대한 인식이 미흡하고, 또 부수적이고 추가적인 비용이 드는 것으로 생각되어 주목을 받지 못했지만 디스플레이와 반도체 산업을 필두로 물 분압을 낮추고 생산수율을 높이는 것에 점점 더 관심이 높아지면서 CWP에 대한 수요도 높아지고 있다. 본 보고에서는 20인치 통과형 CWP를 만들고 14인치 TMP에 얹어 복합 진공배기시스템을 구성한 후 물 배기속도와 알곤, 질소 및 수소 배기속도를 측정하고 예측치와 비교했다. 아울러 물 배기용량 측정 및 CWP의 온도제어와 펌프재생 특성 평가 결과도 정리했다.

A Study on Evaluation for Hydraulic and Hydrologic Safety of an Existing Dam with Morning Glory Spillway (나팔형 여수로를 가진 기존댐의 수리·수문학적 안전성평가에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, hydraulic and hydrologic safety of an existing dam with morning glory spillway was evaluated and the problems were derived in order to control extreme floods efficiently. For design flood(520cms and EL. 170.3m), the spillway was turned out to have no problem for discharge and negative pressure in vertical transition. However, the critical point for discharge starts with EL. 170.7m which transits weir flow condition to orifice flow condition and there may be negative pressure in weir crest. While maximum water level can not be greater than EL. 170.5m including freeboard according to the dam design criteria, the maximum water level based on reservoir routing was turned out to be EL. 172.46m, and fundamental measures should be requested and planned.

Study on the Stability Test of Impinging(FOOF) Injector on $GN_2$ Purge Cold Flow Test (질소분사 음향시험을 통한 충돌형(FOOF) 분사기의 안정성 평가에 관한 연구)

  • In the experimental study of $N_2$ purge cold flow test of impinging(FOOF) injector for determining of instability region, the whistling sound which has a specific frequency is generated. The frequency of whistling is proportional to the gas flow velocity in part of the oxidizer orifice and due to the coupling of the vibrating gas column and the natural frequency of pipe-orifice shape, the discontinuous jumping phenomena arises. The whistling phenomena have no effect on the combustion instability. Compared the damping factor of 1T1L mode with the hot fire test, the instability region of $N_2$ purge cold flow test is very much like that. It means that flow instability by impinging or mixing of jet is the main reason of combustion instability of impinging injector(FOOF) in the hot firing test.

Flame Structure and Combustion Dynamic Characteristics of GCH4/GO2 in Bi-Swirl Coaxial Injectors (동축 와류형 분사기에서 기체메탄/기체산소 화염 구조와 연소 동특성)

  • To investigate the relation between flame structure and combustion dynamic characteristics in bi-swirl coaxial injectors for a liquid rocket engine, combustion experiments were performed using gaseous methane and gaseous oxygen. CH* radicals and pressure fluctuations were simultaneously measured by changing the injector geometries such as recess length/orifice diameter and the flow conditions such as equivalence ratio/oxidizer mass flow rate. As the injector geometries affected the velocities and mixing of the propellants, the change in flame structures was observed. From a result of the frequency analysis, it was confirmed that combustion dynamic characteristics varied according to the injector geometry/flow condition and combustion instabilities could occur under specific recess length/flow conditions.

  • In this study, a shock absorber whose orifice area changes according to the oil pressure inside the absorber is developed. The orifice widens and narrows when the oil pressure is high and low, respectively; thus, the orifice area changes according to the oil pressure, in other words, according to the extension/compression velocity. It is well known that the damping force can be expressed as $C{\cdot}v^{\alpha}$. For fluid film damping, the force is proportional to velocity, i.e., ${\alpha}=1$, and for orifice damping, it is proportional to the square of velocity, i.e., ${\alpha}=2$. The shock absorber proposed in this paper can exhibit different relationships between the damping force and velocity because the orifice area changes according to the induced oil pressure. The motivation of this study is to develop a method for designing a shock absorber with desired values of C and ${\alpha}$ which is not just 1 or 2. Theoretical and experimental studies have been conducted to verify the damping characteristics of the shock absorber. The effect of some major design parameters on damping characteristics has been also examined to relate the design parameters to the damping characteristics.

Studies on Preparation of Functional Powder and Anti-Microbacterial Properties by Vapor-Phase Surface Modification method (기상 표면개질법에 의한 제지용 복합분체 제조 및 항균특성에 관한 연구)

  • 제지산업에 경쟁력을 부여할 수 있는 방법의 일환으로 제지용 도공안료의 표면개질을 시도하였다 은(Ag)이 항균력이 있다는 것이 여러 사람에 의해 증명된바 있으므로 이 은의 항균력을 제지용 무기안료에 이산화티탄과 함께 표면개질하고 다기능성 복합 항균분체를 설계하였다. 표면개질장치에 설치한 기상분사장치를 통해 은 용액을 고압기상분사로 TiO$_2$입자 표면에 Coating 하였다 이때의 분무각도는 60$^{\circ}$이고 오리피스 직경은 0.6mm, 분사 압력은 14kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$ 이다. TiO$_2$에 은 용액을 기상분사하여 코팅시킨 후 표면개질 계산식에 의한 배합비로 모입자(clay, CaCO$_3$, PE)와 자입자(TiO$_2$)를 혼합하였고, 분체의 대전현상을 이용하여 모입자 주위에 자입자를 부착시킨 후, 고속기류중 충격력으로 표면개질처리를 하였다 표면개질 장치를 사용하여 제지용 무기안료 표면에 은용액이 코팅된 TiO$_2$를 개질 시켰다. 각종 물성(항균성, 백색도, 산란도)과 XRD, SEM 측정을 통해 기능성 항균분체의 실용방안 가능성에 대하여 조사하였다.
