This study focuses on the emergence of "hobby-preneurs" and the ways in which they are transforming the virtuous cycle of arts and cultural ecology. The hobby-preneur pursues and expands his or her favorite hobby into a professional job and/or arts business. Hobby-preneurs are the new driving force in the arts and cultural industry. Their activities enhance the arts as a public good even as they build valuable social capital for arts organizations and have a profound impact on supply and demand in the arts and cultural marketplace. Thus we found that by injecting and potentiating certain values that professional artists cannot directly deliver to arts consumers, hobby-preneurs function as major intermediaries in the virtuous cycle of arts and cultural ecology. To understand more about these emergent actors we examine their personal, social, and economic values and how these values guide their arts-related activities and thereby impact the ecology of the arts and cultural sector. In this study we use a phenomenological approach to investigate five hobby-preneurs and the particular ways their acquisition of professionalism is transforming the arts education node of the virtuous cycle in the creative sector.

과학과 기술, 통신의 급속한 발달은 새로운 매체의 예술을 가능하게 한다. 컴퓨터의 마우스를 움직여서 색상을 선정하고 원하는 선이나 형태를 선택하며 편집하고 조합하여 미술계에도 디지털미디어가 새로운 표현수단으로 이용되고 있다. 이렇듯 컴퓨터와 인터넷을 통한 예술은 새로운 세기의 문화의 상징으로 전세계를 네트워크로 구성하는 또다른 예술형태를 창조해 내고 있다.

In the US, there are no governing bodies within the federal executive departments dedicated to the arts and cultural affairs. Direct government subsidies for the arts are relatively small compared to other countries with a comparable economy and standard of living. Nevertheless, the US produces artworks, artists, and arts groups, leading the world's arts and culture. Incorporating the concepts of network governance and shared governance, this paper examines the dynamic roles and interrelationships among various for-profit/nonprofit arts organizations, foundations, councils, service organizations, arts advocacy groups, and professional/amateur associations from the federal to local levels that compose the ecology of American arts and culture. Through our evaluation, we conclude that the local/state/federal arts agencies and arts organizations at various levels influence each other via the principle of subsidiarity and isomorphism, creating a unique cultural policy and arts-supporting system that correspond to the political and social structure and environment of the United States.

새가 날고 싶은 곳으로 나는 것처럼 사회적 제도나 규범, 예술적 범례(paradigm)를 넘어 예술사회에서 인정받지 못한다고 하더라도 나 자신이 자아도취라도 된 작품을 하고 싶다. 물론 예술 사회의 인정도 받고 자연생태계의 무공해적 균형과 조화된 것이라면 더욱 이상적이겠다. 인간중심적 세계관은 환경파괴의 기초사상이다. 나 중심일 때 사회가 파괴되고 인간이란 동물이 지구상의 모든 생물의 중심이라고 생각할 때 자연생태계는 파괴된다. 이러한 의미에서 자연 중심적 사고방식을 기초로 자연적인 재료와 방법으로 무공해적 작품을 하는 것이 나의 목표이자 내 작품의 주제이다.

수많은 예술 관련 분야 대학 졸업생들과 예술가들은 많은 시간과 열정을 투자하여 예술 공부와 창작활동을 하지만 창작물을 통해 수익을 창출하는데 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다. 최근에는 이런 문제를 해결하기 위해 많은 예술 플랫폼 창업 기업들이 생기고 있으며 이 기업들은 수익 창출이 어려운 많은 예술가들에게 수익 창출의 기회를 제공하고 있다. 예술가들의 창작물인 그림, 글, 음악, 패션 등을 사업화하여 수익을 창출하는 예술 플랫폼 창업 기업은 그림 대여 및 판매 플랫폼, 예술가 창작물 상품화 플랫폼, 예술 크라우드 펀딩 플랫폼, 공연 전시 플랫폼 이렇게 4가지 분야로 분류해 볼 수 있다. 또한, 국내 창업 생태계의 발전과 함께 예술 플랫폼 창업 기업에 대한 관심이 더욱 증가하고 있지만 예술 플랫폼 형태 분석 및 사례 적용 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 예술 플랫폼 창업 기업 형태를 분야별로 분석하여 예술 플랫폼 창업을 준비 중인 예비 창업자들에게 향후 예술 창업 전략 수립에 있어 시사점을 제고시하고자 한다.

This study aims to examine the system for gender rights in arts and cultural industry triggered by #Metoo movement and to suggest action plans to improve gender equality. Up until now, Korean government launched 'Pan-governmental Counter Plan', 'Recommendation of the Special Center for Investigating Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence in Arts and Cultural Industries' 'the Primary and Secondary Supplemental Measures to Eradicate Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence in the Arts and Cultural Sector by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Korea', and '2030 Cultural Vision'. Korean government has designed the system to protect gender rights using these proposals. Implemented policies can be grouped into 4 different categories; protecting victims, punishing abusers, implementing preventive measures, and reforming legal system. However, despite Korean government's multilateral efforts, continuous criticism aroused as policies failed to witness actual impacts in the industry. Given the fact that 2 years have passed since the launch of gender equality policy in cultural sector, this is the right time to discuss the current status and ways to improve it. For above reasons, research was conducted on documents including, but not limited to, government publications and an analysis of interviews with 9 major stakeholders of policy planning and implementation. During the study, interviews were analyzed using the qualitative research program MAXQDA. As a result, 5~10 problems were revealed in each category of the system. Furthermore, meaningful correlation has been found in improvement areas suggested by the interviewees. This connection implies that the policy for gender rights in arts and cultural industry shall be developed organically in order for the system to work.

This is a study about the arts as political tools by absolute royal authority in time of Louis X IV through the movie Le Roi danse(2000). The King, Louis X IV was an enthusiast of Arts. During the during the reign of Louis X IV, French Baroque art was blossomed exuberantly. the movie shows how the King uses the arts as a tool of his absolute authority. there are artists, Jean Baptiste Lully and Moliere, and while the movies shows how these artists could get the King's confidence and the king manipulate the arts for strengthen his authority as an absolute royalty.

본 논문은 세계의 국가발전 핵심 키워드인 창조경제의 동력으로서 문화예술경영이 추구해야 할 방향성을 찾는데 목적을 가진다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 첫째로 문화예술경영이 창조경제논리에 부합하는지 알아보기 위해 창조경제의 조건과 문화예술경영의 의미를 비교하여 두 개념이 추구하는 방향의 일치성을 확인하였다. 둘째로 본 연구의 목적인 창조경제 동력으로서 문화예술경영의 방향성을 찾기 위해, 창조경제의 성공적 사례를 담은 문헌 및 연구를 탐색하였다. 이를 바탕으로 문화예술경영의 방향으로 '예술을 수용하는 관객, 소비자, 독자들이 보다 예술과 가까워질 수 있는 다양한 프로그램 마련', '예술가들이 패러다임의 변화를 주도할 수 있는 제도적 장치 개발', '예술가 사이, 예술과 관객 사이 네트워크 형성을 위한 지원', 그리고 '일반인에게도 예술가의 가치 인정' 등을 도출하였다. 이러한 내용을 포괄하며, 마지막으로 예술에 대한 인식의 변화 추구와 다양한 아이디어 공존이 가능한 환경조성을 통해 창조경제의 생태계를 탄력성 있게 만드는 정책이 강구될 필요가 있음을 제안하였다.

지난 30년 동안 서구과학계는 엄청난 변화의 물결이 일어났다. 과학은 무미건조하고 어떤 감동도 주지 못하며 예술과는 거리가 멀다고 생각해 왔다. 그러나 과학과 예술과 함께 자연을 경험하는 두 가지 상호 보완적인 방법의 하나로서 최근 자연 속의 복잡한 모양이 내재하는 규칙을 이해하려는 프렉탈 과학을 통하여 과학과 예술간의 실제적 접목이 여러 가지 방향으로 시도되고 있다. 우리의 미적 감각은 자연에 나타나는 질서와 무질서의 조화로운 배열에 의해서 영감을 받는다. (중략)

최근 이탈리아의 젊은 여류 천체물리학자 피오렐라 테렌지는 오디오 망원경을 사용하여 1억8천만km나 멀리 떨어진 은하에서 나오는 무선파를 낚아채어 컴퓨터에 입력한 다음 음성합성프로그램을 응용하여 '은하에서 온 음악'을 만들었다. 첨단기술은 마침내 예술계 전반에 큰 변화의 바람을 일으키기 시작했다.
