Hair beauty treatments that can express individuality have increased and diversified. However, their repetitive use has also brought about hair damage. To reduce such damage, the importance of hair treatments when receiving chemotherapy has magnified greatly. In this study, the hair (normal hair, NH) of 5 people in their 20s has been collected and observed with SEM before dyeing (NH), after dyeing (DH) and after dyed and treated (DTH) to measure the hair's morphological damage and mineral content. SEM observation results revealed that, in DTH, a cuticle-like arrangement appears almost uniformly, the hair settles, the lines are smooth, and the damage degree is low. Regarding mineral content, the concentration of minerals was generally balanced. However, in the observation of toxic minerals and minerals found in large amounts, the concentration of Ba, Na, Ca, and Mg was higher than the balance range in NH, DH, and DTH.

Dye waste water generated in the dye industry is categorized as hazardous waste water that requires appropriate treatment. The pilot scale experimental trials were carried out using dye waste water as an effective additive for the selective non-catalytic reduction (SNCR) of NOx in combustion flue gases. The additives were waste liquor obtained from the dye industry and several purification steps were taken to make a standardized reagents. The dye waste water was shown to possess valuable SNCR qualities (at least 87% NOx reduction efficiency) considering its availability as a waste product, which has to be strictly treated, and have little effects on CO removal. The results indicated that the NO removal efficiency increased first and then decreased with increasing temperature within $750-1150^{\circ}C$. The maximum NO reduction efficiency was approximately 87% at the optimal reaction temperature. A more than 10% increase in NO reduction was achieved in the presence of 1000 ppm Na-additives (dye waste water) compared to that without additives. The Na-based additives have also a significant promoting effect on $N_2O$ reduction and within the SNCR temperature window.

To develop simple acrosome staining of horse spermatozoa, this study tested the binding properties of Coomassie brilliant blue G or R on the sperm smears after 3.7% paraformaldehyde (PF) or 35% methanol (MT) fixation. After being fixed with PF and stained with 0.05, 0.1, or 0.2 % of CBB G or R for 2 min, horse spermatozoa were examined for their intact acrosome status. The intact acrosome of fresh horse spermatozoa were 62.6% and 61.5% with 0.05% of the G and R CBB solution, but 80.2 and 79.7% with G type and 78.1 and 76.0% with R type. On the other hand, when MT was used for fixation, the acrosome reacting sperm ratio was 3.5%, but was 9.0% in the case of PF. These results show that the intact acrosome of horse sperm could be judged using a 0.1~0.2% CBB G or R staining technique. PF would be an essential fixative for examining acrosome reacting horse spermatozoa. This method could be used to identify sperm with a damaged acrosome during low-temperature storage or cryopreservation for artificial insemination of horses.
Modern people express their beauty through hair coloring, but hair can be damaged by repeated chemical treatments. In order to increase the durability of dyeing and minimize the hair damage, in this study, the acidic amino acids including aspartic acid (Asp) and glutamic acid (Glu) were used to post-treat hair during hair coloring. The post-treatment with 0.75% Asp and Glu solution was carried out at room temperature for 20 minutes after dyeing bleached hair with cherry red and blue silver colors. After repeated shampooing of 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 times, L*a*b* value of dyed hair was measured to confirm the dyeing durability, and the changes in tensile strength, porosity, and surface properties of the hair were also analyzed to determine the condition of the hair. In the case of cherry red and blue silver staining, the Asp and Glu experimental group showed higher color persistence than the control group, and the Asp and Glu experimental group showed higher tensile strength, lower porosity and smooth surface properties than the control group. In particular, the Asp test group showed superior color persistence and lower hair damage than the Glu test group. This study, therefore, if damaged in dyeing and bleaching in the field of hair after treatment with asp glu a combination of hair cosmetics in the development of basic data look forward to be.

Neunghwaji(Embossed patterned paper) is a unique paper used for a traditional book cover in Korea. The research was carried out to investigate Neunghwaji's features. Physical property was studied through a test of tensile strength and folding endurance. Also, comparative analysis of virus resistance and waterproof ability was undertaken on Neunghwaji. 1. Folding endurance test showed that strength of non-embossed CB and HB decreased during deteriorating duration. Embossed CN and HN showed the strength increasing at early stage and decreasing from the 27th day of the deteriorating duration. Tensile strength was decreasing in both cases as deterioration progressed. 2. Growth of Arthrinium sp. fungus on embossed paper was 10% less than plain paper while Cladosporium sp. showed 20~30% less growth. Amur cork dyeing(H) showed 10~30% lower fungi growth than Gardenia seed dyeing(C). The result indicated that embossed paper has better virus resistance than Hanji, and Amur cork dyeing has better virus resistance than Gardenia seed dyeing. 3. Average contact angle of CN, CB, HN, and HB was $85{\sim}92^{\circ}$ and NON-N and NON-B was $59{\sim}63^{\circ}$. In detail, CN's contact angle was $1{\sim}7^{\circ}$ higher than CB's; HN was $1{\sim}6^{\circ}$ higher than HB. Therefore, it was found that embossed paper has higher contact angle than Hanji thus the former has better waterproof ability. The research suggested production technique of Neunghwaji and studied its features related to the technique. Neunghwaji was confirmed to have superior quality to Hanji though further study regarding above test result is needed to complement the research.
This study has been conducted to see influence of fibroid hepatic tissue on alpha-tocopherol and its histologic changes. Experimental groups were divided into 3 groups, one where fibrosis was caused by carbon tetrachloride and the other where alpha-tocopherol and carbon tetrachloride were administered together and another normal group. Results of test showed fibrosis reaction is weak compared to the group administered with carbon tetrachloride in the group administered with alpha-tocopherol. In conclusion, we could observe proliferation of collagen fibers through Hematoxylin&Eosin and Massom trichrom dye and increase in ALT, AST, ALP in fibroid hepatic tissues, indicating convergence anti-oxidation reaction by changes of alpha-tocopherol intake. Thus, it is considered that we can expect to utilize alpha-tocopherol as secondary treatment and find clinical meanings of diagnosis on hepatic diseases through results of this study.
The following study tests for the effects of mordants on the production of restoration papers during the conservation process of damaged paper artifacts. For this, four different types of synthetic mordants that are being marketed currently ($K_2CO_3$, $AlK(SO_4)_2{\cdot}12H_2O$, $Cu_2SO_4{\cdot}5H_2O$, $FeSO_4$) were selected to produce samples for measuring variable properties through artificial degradation. The research conducts tests for changes in color, tensile index, and pH level (degree of acidity). The results for changes in color have shown that the value of ${\Delta}E^*ab$ of $K_2CO_3$ mordant sample was the highest, and the tests for tensile index have shown that the strength of dyeing sample was decreased in accordance with the aging time, but Changes according to the mordant was not evident. Finally, the findings for pH level have shown that samples with $Cu_2SO_4{\cdot}5H_2O$ and $FeSO_4$ have pH levels drop below 6. As a result, the research have concluded that mordants used for dyeing restoration paper were identified to have an affect in the dyeing and aging characteristics of the paper.
Natural dyeing has traditionally been used in many countries around the world, and as natural dyes are diversified, the diversity of dyeing patterns is also expanding. This study tried to establish standardization by providing numerical values that could provide quantified information to the Internet of Things by more accurately analyzing the color changes of dyes and mordants for the four natural dyes. The addition of copper acetate, iron II sulfate and potassium dichromate to the dye extracted from Juglans regia Linn changed the original color of brown to other colors of purple, khaki and dark brown, respectively. Except for potassium dichromate added to Sophora japonica L. or Phellodendron amurense Ruprecht, the concentration of other mordants was reduced, but the color difference of the dyed silk was very large. However, although there is a difference in degree, copper acetate and iron sulfate induced color changes of 35% and 15%, respectively. In summary, it was confirmed that the highest color change was induced when 15 grams of copper acetate was added to J. regia Linn, S. japonica L. and P. amurense Ruprecht and 150 grams of iron to Phytolacca americana. The results of this study suggested that the accurate color change by various mordants can be utilized as important information that enables more accurate color induction by dyes and mordants.
