Optical signal amplification property in photorefractive Cu-KNSBN crystal (광굴절 Cu-KNSBN 결정에서의 광신호 증폭 특성)

  • SBN, BSKNN KNSBN 등의 tungsten-bronze 계열에 속하는 광굴절 결정은 짧은 파장에서 좋은 감광도와 빠른 응답시간을 갖는다. 이중에서도 KNSBN 결정은 큰 크기의 결정 성장 및 도핑이 용이하고 광굴절 결정에서 중요한 특성 중 하나인 열 안정성(thermal stability)이 좋기 때문에 빠른 응답특성이 요구되는 응용분야에서 촉망받는 매질이다. 본 논문에서는 광정보저장, 광정보처리, 광컴퓨터, 광통신과 같은 다양한 분야에서 응용가능성을 가지는 Cu가 0.04wt.%도핑된 5mm$\times$5mm$\times$5mm 크기의 KNSBN 결정을 이용한 광신호의 증폭기술에 대하여 연구하였다. 먼저 Cu-KNSNB 결정의 2광파 결합 특성을 분석하기 위하여, 기록 파장에 따른 지수이득계수의 외부입사각의존성, 최대 지수이득계수를 나타내는 외부입사각에서 입사빔의 세기비에 따른 2광파 결합 이득을 측정하였다. 또한, 632.8nm파장 영역에서 기록 및 삭제시간 상수, 회절 효율의 입사빔 세기비 의존성을 측정하였다. 그리고, 음향-광학 변조기(AOM: acousto-optic modulator)에 의해 진폭 변조된 신호빔을 이용하여 광신호 증폭특성을 분석하고 그 결과를 제시하였다. 이때 두 빔의 입사각은 최대 지수이득계수를 나타내는 입사반각 12$^{\circ}$로 고정하고, 감쇄기를 이용하여 신호빔의 세기를 조절하면서 신호빔의 차동이득을 측정하였다. 투과된 신호빔은 같은 주파수에서 차동 이득(diffrerential gain)을 보였으며, 이는 moving grating과 시간-변조된 신호빔(또는 펌프빔)사이의 새로운 상호작용은 광굴절 결정의 시간 적분 특성에 의한 것이다. (중략) 경우는 상온에서 펌프 펄스의 유지시간이 0.5% 인 경우 레이저가 동작하는 것을 보여주었다. 이는 구조내에서 열전도가 문제가 된다는 것을 의미하는데 위아래가 공기로 둘러 싸여 있어 발생한 열이 가는 유전체 네트웍을 통해서만 전달 될 수 있기 때문이다. (중략)$^4$A$_2$에 의한 nophonon line R$_1$, R$_2$(680.4, 678.5 nm) 및 $^2$T$_1$$\longrightarrow$$^4$A$_2$(655.7, 649.3, 645.2 nm)의 형광방출 스펙트럼을 얻었으며, 형광수명은 0.264 ms로 조사되었다. 제조된 레이저 발진봉은 직경 6.3 m, 길이 45 nm이었다.\pm$0.06kHz Ge $F_4$; -1.84$\pm$0.04kHz$0.04kHz/TEX>0.04kHz 모국어 및 관련 외국어의 음운규칙만 알면 어느 학습대상 외국어에라도 적용할 수 있는 보편성을 지니는 것으로 사료된다.없다. 그렇다면 겹의문사를 [-wh]의리를 지 닌 의문사의 병렬로 분석할 수 없다. 예를 들어 누구누구를 [주구-이-ν가] [누구누구-이- ν가]로부터 생성되었다고 볼 수 없다. 그러므로 [-wh] 겹의문사는 복수 의미를 지닐 수 없 다. 그러면 단수 의미는 어떻게 생성되는가\ulcorner 본 논문에서는 표면적 형태에도 불구하고 [-wh]의미의 겹의문사는 병렬적 관계의 합성어가 아니라 내부구조를 지니지 않은 단순한 단어(minimal $X^{0}$ elements)로 가정한다.

The Prediction of Temperature in Composite Box Girder Bridges (합성 박스형 교량의 온도 예측)

  • The paper describes a theoretical model for the prediction of bridge temperatures from meteorological data measured at bridge site and local meteorological center together with existing finite element heat transfer theory and solar radiation transfer theory to determine the time dependent temperature distribution of bridge. In this analytical model, the most adequate equation for the calculation of solar radiation on the bridge surface, which is dominant in day time is described based on the results of several experimental studies for the solar energy. The validity of this model is tested against field data obtained from long term experimental program on Sadang Viaduct in Seoul. Also, this paper describes the linear correlation between design variables and meteorological data to establish analytical criteria for the prediction of the average temperature, which are responsible for the longitudinal deformation of the bridges and of the vertical differential temperature profiles. which are responsible for the bending deformations from the long term experimental results.

A study on the characteristics of evaporation heat transfer of carbon dioxide flowing upward in a vertical smooth tube (이산화탄소의 수직원관 내 상향유동 증발열전달 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Because of the ozone layer depletion and global warming, new alternative refrigerants are being developed. In this study, evaporation heat transfer characteristics of carbon dioxide flowing upward in a vertical tube have been investigated by experiment. Before the test section, a pre-heater is installed to adjust the inlet quality of the refrigerant to a desired value. A smooth tube with outer diameter of 5 mm and length of 1.44 m was selected as a test tube. The test was conducted at mass fluxes of 212 to 530 kg/$m^2s$, saturation temperature of -5 to 20$^{\circ}C$, and heat fluxes of 20 to 45 kW/$m^2$. As the vapor quality and mass fluxes increase, the heat transfer coefficients of carbon dioxide are decreased, and the heat transfer coefficients increase when the heat fluxes and saturation temperatures increase.

Forced Convective Evaporating Heat Transfer of Non-azeotropic Refrigerant Mixtures in a Horizontal Smoothed Tube (수평 평활관내에서 비공비혼합냉매의 강제대류 증발열전달)

  • Experiments were performed to investigate the heat transfer characteristics of nonazeotropic mixture R-22+R-114 in a heat pump system. The ranges of parameter, such as heat flux, mass flow rate, and quality were $8,141{\sim}32,564W/m^2$, 24~58kg/h, and 0~1, respectively. The overall compositions of the mixtures were 50 and 100 per-cent of R-22 by weight for R-22+R-114 mixture. The results indicated that there were distinct different heat transfer phenomena between the pure substance and the mixture. In case of pure refrigerant the heat transfer rates for cooling were strongly dependent upon quality of the refrigerant. Overall evaporating heat transfer coefficients for the mixture were somewhat lower than pure R-22 values in the forced convective boiling region. For a given flow rate, the heat transfer coefficient at the circumferential tube wall(top, side, and bottom of the test tube) for R-22/R-114(50/50wt%)mixture, however, was higher than for pure R-22 at side and bottom of the tube. Furthermore, a prediction for the evaporating heat transfer coefficient of the mixtures was developed based on the method of Yoshida et.al.'s. The resulting correlation yielded a good agreement with the data for the refrigerant mixtures.

Condensation Heat Transfer for Pure HFC Refrigerants and a Ternary Refrigerant Mixture Inside a Horizontal Tube (HFC 순수냉매 및 3성분 혼합냉매의 수평관내 응축열전달)

  • An experimental study of condensation heat transfer was performed for pure refrigerants HFC32, HFCI25, and HFC134a, and a ternary refrigerant mixture of HFC32/125/134a (23/25/52wt%). The heat transfer coefficients were measured inside a horizontal smooth tube 5.8 mm I.D. and 8.0 m long. The refrigerant temperature at inlet was 40 $^{\circ}C$, and the mass flux was varied from 150 to 400 $kg/m^2s$. As for the pure refrigerants, the heat transfer coefficient of HFC32/125/l34a decreased as the quality decreased. In addition, the heat transfer coefficient of HFC32/l25/134a was about 20 % lower than HFC 134a at a low mass flux but showed no reduction at a high mass flux. The heat transfer coefficient of ternary refrigerant mixtures was 30% lower on the average than that of the pure refrigerant.

  • Numerical calculation has been performed to investigate the fluid flow, heat transfer and local mass fraction of chemical species in the MOCVD(metalorganic chemical vapor deposition) manufacturing process. The mixing of reactants (trimethylgallium with hydrogen gas and ammonia) was presented by the concentration of each reactant to predict the uniformity of film growth. Effects of inlet size, location, mass flow rate and susceptor/cold wall tilt angle on the concentration were reported. From the numerical calculation, the concentration of reactants could be qualitatively predicted by the Nusselt number(heat transfer) and the optimum mass flow rate, wall tilt angle and inlet condition were considered.

  • In recent years, carbon dioxide among natural refrigerants has gained consider-able attention as an alternative refrigerant due to its excellent thermophysical properties. However, few investigations have been performed to develop useful correlations of heat trans-fer coefficients and pressure drop during evaporation of carbon dioxide. This study is aiming at providing the characteristics of heat transfer and pressure drop during the evaporation process of carbon dioxide. Heat is provided by a direct heating method to the test section, which was made of a seamless stainless steel tube with an inner diameter of 7.53 mm, and a length of 5.0 m. Experiments were conducted at saturation temperatures of -4 to 2$0^{\circ}C$, heat fluxes of 12 to 20 ㎾/$m^2$ and mass fluxes of 200 to 530 kg/$m^2$s. A comparison of different heat transfer correlations applicable to evaporation of carbon dioxide has been made. Based on the experiments for evaporation heat transfer and pressure drop, new correlations were developed. The newly developed empirical correlations for the heat transfer and pressure drop show average absolute deviations of 15.3% and 16.2%, respectively.

한국시장과 일본시장에서 거래제도가 주가행태에 미치는 영향 비교 연구

  • 본고에서는 한국의 증권시장과 일본의 증권시장이 같은 공매시장(Auction markets)의 형태라도 거래되는 시점에 따라 다른 거래제도에 따라 가격이 결정되는 점도 있어 각 시점별로 양 시장의 주가행태를 가격조정모형을 통하여 비교 분석하였다. 일반적으로 한국과 일본 모두 오전 시가 수익률의 분산이 종가 수익률에서의 분산보다 크고 또한 오전 시가 수익률의 분산이 다른 시점의 수익률의 분산 보다 켰다. 한국 및 일본 양 시장에서 시가수익률의 분산과 음의 시계열상관계수에서 공히 거래정지기간에 따른 노이즈 항목과 거래오류영향을 발견하였다. 그러나 한국시장에서 거래오류나 노이즈가 일본시장보다 큼을 알 수 있었다. 두 시장에서 모두 오전개장과 오후개장을 다른 시점과 비교하면 주가의 과다반응을 추정 할 수 있으나 일본시 장의 경우는 한국시장에서 보다 미미하였다. 한국시장의 경우 오후종가가 영과 통계학적으로 크게 다르게 양의 수를 가지고 있음은 시장의 효율성에서 한국시장이 일본시장에 비해 떨어지고 시장 정보에 대하여 주가의 가격조정속도가 늦다고 추정할 수 있었고 이는 한국시장이 아직은 일본에 비해 가격제한폭이나 그밖에 거래제한 요소가 일본보다 크기 때문으로 추정된다. 한국시장에서는 주식수익률의 변동성은 노이즈거래가설(Noise trading hypothesis)이 더 설명력이 있다고 추정되고 일본의 경우 사적정보가설(Private information hypothesis)과 노이즈거래가설(Noise trading hypothesis) 둘 다 설명력이 있지만 전자가 더 우위일 가능성이 있었다. 결론적으로 위의 결과를 종합하면 거래메커니즘 차이가 주가의 행태에 크게 다르게 미친다고는 할 수 없고 단지 주가의 정보전달 속도 및 노이즈 그리고 시장의 효율성에 따라 주가행태에 어느 정도 차이를 일으킨다고 할 수 있었다.

Modeling of Drying Cylinders in Paper Plants (제지공장 가열 실린더의 모델링)

  • The purpose of the present study is to identify the drying cylinder model in paper plants and to analyze characteristics of process responses for changes in input variables. The model developed in this work is based on actual plant operation data and the steam pressure applied to the cylinder behaves as one the main variables. It is found that heat transfer coefficients from the condensate to the canvas could be represented as empirical relations based on heat conductivities and operation date. The effectiveness of the cylinder model is demonstrated by the measured moisture contents and web temperature. Using transfer functions derived from the cylinder model stability of the drying process is analyzed.

Experimental Study on R-l34a Condensation Beat Transfer Characteristics in Plate and Shell Heat Exchanger (판각형 열교환기내의 R-134a 응축열전달 특성에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • In this paper, the experimental results of condensation heat transfer were reported for the plate and shell heat exchangers(P&SHE) using R-l34a. An experimental refrigerant loop has been established to measure the condensation heat transfer coefficient of R-l34a in a vertical P&SHE. Two vertical counter flow channels were formed in the P&SHE by three plates of geometry with a corrugated trapezoid shape of a chevron angle of 45$^{\circ}$. Downflow of the condensing R-l34a in one channel releases heat to the cold up flow of water in the other channel. The effect of the refrigerant mass flux, average heat flux, system pressure and vapor quality of R-l34a on the measured data were explored in detail. The results indicate that at a higher vapor quality the condensation heat transfer coefficients are significantly higher. Condensation heat transfer coefficients were increased when the refrigerant mass flux was increased. A rise in the average heat flux causes an slight increase in the hr. Finally, at a higher system pressure the hr is found to be lower. Correlation is also provided for the measured heat transfer coefficients in terms of the Nusselt number.
