Equipment for Measuring the Adiabatic Temperature Rise of Concrete by Compensating Heat Loss (열손실량 보정을 통한 콘크리트 단열온도상승량 예측 장치)

  • Adiabatic temperature rise test for predicting heat of hydration in mass concrete is especially inconvenient in the field. In order to overcome the problem, the equipment to effectively and conveniently measure semi-adiabatic temperature change was developed. The main objective of this paper is to propose a new and simple equipment for measuring semi-adiabatic temperature rise by using insulation bottles. In order to predict exact heat loss of concrete using this device, it is required to assume the specific heat loss coefficient of the device by water temperature change inside the experimental device. According to experimental and analytical results, the adiabatic temperature rise does not have significant differences in changes of temperature and humidity of air, as well as initial temperature of water. By comparing adiabatic temperature rise tests, the equipment for measuring semi-adiabatic temperature change can be used to predict the hydration heat of concrete within sufficient accuracy.

  • Recently, due to the increase in high-rise apartment and residential-commercial complex buildings, a number of mega-class mass concrete members with a thickness of 3m or more have been designed. As the construction of mass concrete such as transfer beam and slab is increasing not only in foundation members but also in special structures, research on reducing temperature cracks in mass concrete is being conducted. To review temperature cracks in mass concrete, it is important to review the thermal properties of concrete, but it is difficult to use an adiabatic temperature rise tester in the field, so the semi-adiabatic temperature rise test is mainly used. In this study, to improve the accuracy of the results of concrete heat characteristics gained by the semi-adiabatic temperature rise test, various factors affecting heat loss compensation and methods were reviewed and presented.

  • The paper discusses a data processing methodology that derives a three dimensional porosity volume information from the 3-D seismic dataset. The methodology consists of preprocessing and inversion procedures. The purpose of the preprocessing is balancing the amplitudes of seismic traces by using reflectivity series derived from sonic and density logs. There are eight sonic logs are available in the study area; therefore, we can compute only 8 balance functions. The balance function for every seismic trace was derived from these 8 balance functions by kriging. In order to derive a wide-band acoustic impedance --similar to the one can be derived from a sonic log- from a band-limited reflection seismogram, we need to recover missing low- and high-frequency information of the seismic trace. For that Purpose we use the autoregressive method.

The Numerical Study on the Ventilation of Non-isothermal Concentrated Fume (수치해석적 방법을 이용한 비등온 고농도 연무의 배기량 산정에 관한 연구)

  • The experimental study with the prototype provides more acceptable data than the others. But there are so many limited conditions to perform the experimental study with the prototype. So the theoretical similitude with the scaled model and the numerical study with the CFD method have been chosen alternatively to analysis the fume movement. In this study, the ventilation was estimated from the results of the numerical study based on the experimental results as the boundary conditions. The grid A and B were same size and shape with the models which was used in the experimental study and consisted with 163,839, 122,965 cells respectively. The height of the fume layer was estimated form the mole fraction of fume components and the ventilation was determined by the velocity and temperature of the fume. The results of this study showed that the fume movements estimated from the numerical study are enough to apply to the prototype if there are proper heat loss correction factors. The numerical study is easier to change study conditions and faster to get results from the study than the experimental study. So if we find some proper heat loss correction factors, it's possible to execute the various and advanced study with the numerical study.

  • 본 논문에서는 EM 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 LTE2300 대역의 마이크로스트립 라인 대역여파기를 설계하고 시편을 제작하였다. 중심주파수 2300MHz, 대역폭 350MHz, 삽입손실 1.5dB, 감쇄는 1930MHz와 2690MHz에서 15dB 이상, 1000MHz에서 60dB 이상으로 설계하였다. 또한 반사손실은 15dB로 설계하였다. 구현은 유전율 9.8인 알루미나 유전체에서 하였으며, 전송선로와 접지는 silver paste를 사용하였다. EM 시뮬레이션을 통해 얻은 결과값과 이를 통해 실제 제작된 시편의 보정값을 얻어 data base화 하였으며, 좋은 재현성을 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다. 특히 일반적으로 마이크로스트립 라인 필터의 제작에 적용되는 에칭 또는 포토리소그라피 대신 레이저를 이용하여 패턴을 구현하였으며, 이 또한 우수한 특성과 재현성을 보여주었다.

  • 대용량 전력 컨버터 시스템의 경우 전력 컨버터의 출력을 공통으로 연결하여 병렬로 전력을 공급한다. 그런데 이러한 병렬 연결형 전력 컨버터 시스템에서 별도의 부하 균등 제어방법을 사용하지 않을 경우 부하가 컨버터에 균등하게 분배되지 않기 때문에 많은 부하를 감당하는 컨버터의 경우 수명이 저하와 고장 또한 전체 시스템의 효율을 감소 시킨다. 때문에 보통의 병렬 연결 시스템의 경우 패시브한 방법으로 출력에 저항을 연결하여 저항 값을 조정하는 방법과 엑티브한 방법으로 마스터와 슬레이브를 구별하여 마스터가 출력 전류를 균등하게 보장하는 방법이 있다. 그러나 패시브한 방법의 경우 전력손실이 발생하고 엑티브한 방법의 경우 마스터와 슬레이브를 구별하여 생산하고 또한 마스터 고장의 경우 운영할 수 없게 된다. 본 논문에서는 전압센서의 게인을 기준 전압센서 값에 실시간으로 보정함으로써 적은 손실과 별도의 마스터 슬레이브의 구별없는 방법을 제안한다.

Correction of TDC Position for Engine Output Measuring in Marine Diesel Engines (선박용 디젤엔진의 출력산정을 위한 TDC 위치보정에 관한 연구)

  • The accurate engine output is basically one of important factors for the analysis of engine performance. Nowadays in-cylinder pressure analysis in internal combustion engine is also an indispensable tool for engine research and development, environment regulation and maintenance of engine. Here, it is essential more than anything else to find the correct TDC(Top Dead Center) position for the accuracy of engine output for diesel engine. Therefore this study is to analyze affecting factors to TDC position in 2-stroke large low speed engine and to suggest new method for determining correct TDC position. In the previous paper, it was mentioned that the accuracy of engine output is influenced by the determination of exact TDC position, and that 'Angle based sampling' method is better than 'Time based sampling' method in terms of precision. It was confirmed that there is 'Loss of angle', which is a difference between compression pressure peak and real TDC caused by heat loss and blow by of gas leakage. Consequently we invented new method, called "An improved method of time based sampling", which can obtain the correct engine output. The results by this method with compensating loss of angle was shown the same result by the 'Angle based sampling' method in encoder setting cylinder. This study is to suggest the new measuring method of exact engine output, and to examnine the reliance on the outcome.

A Comparison between Various CFD Solvers for Analysis on Thermal Load in Smart Farm(Fluent, Open-FOAM, Blender) (스마트팜 열부하 분석을 위한 CFD 해석 도구 비교)

  • 기후변화 따른 스마트팜 돈사 외부 환경의 변화에 대응하고, 사육 환경을 능동적으로 개선하기 위한 연구가 수행 중이다. 돈사 내 열전달 요소 간 상호 역학성 분석을 위해서 고려해야할 사항은 입기구, 보온 등, 열풍기, 단열제, 위치, 방향, 돈사의 연평균 온도, 습도, 연중 일사량, 가축의 열복사 등 상호 복잡하게 연관되어 있는 물리량이다. 돈사 전체 열손실, 자연발생 에너지량, 강제발생 에너지량, 난방용량 등을 고려한 순간 열부하 산정을 위한 여러 방법 중 우선적으로 CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics)를 이용하였다. 순간 열부하 산정을 위한 해석 도구 선정에 있어서 다양한 유체 및 기체 전산 유체역학 Solver(Fluent, Open-FOAM, Blender)를 고려하였다. 공간 Mech를 수행하기 위한 도구로는 공개 소프트웨어 인 FreeFem++ 3.51-4 (http://www.freefem.org)를 이용하였다. 이 과정에서 일부 기체 (암모니아)의 농도를 난수로 변화시키는 기법을 적용하여 가상적으로 돈사의 환경을 Pseudo 시뮬레이션 하였다. 결과적으로 Fluent에 비하여 OpenFOAM을 이용하여 얻은 열유동의 방향(속도)과 크기 백터가 상대적으로 크게 나타났다. Fluent가 시계열 상에서 혼합 기체 물리량 변화를 무시할 수 있는 안정되고 균일한 환경에 적합하기 때문인 것으로 판단되었다. Blender의 경우 Lattice Boltzmann methods 과 Smoothed-particle hydrodynamics 방법을 이용한 유체/입자 동력학 모델링을 제공함에 있어 시각적 효과를 강조하는 기능에 중점을 두었다. Fluent와 Blender에서 제공하는 해석 연산 모듈의 정확성 검증을 위해선 공간 분해능을 높인 정밀 계측 시스템을 이용하여 검증할 필요가 있다. Open-FOAM를 이용한 열부하 분석 수행이 상대적으로 높은 절대값을 보이는 특성은 열부하 제어 시스템의 Overshoot를 유발할 가능성이 있으므로 이에 대한 해석 모델의 보정이 추가적으로 필요할 것이다. CFD의 한계인 시간 복잡도를 낮추고 상대적으로 높은 시계열 분해능을 확보할 경우 돈사 내 환기시스템에 맞는 소요 환기량 실시간 산정이 가능해지고 외부기상 및 돈사내부 복사열을 활용함과 동시에 돈군 순환에 상응하는 실시간 열부하 관리 시스템 도출이 가능할 것이다.

Research on the Torque and Starting Characteristics of a Turbopump Turbine (터보펌프 터빈의 토크 및 시동특성 연구)

  • Torque characteristics of a turbopump turbine was analyzed using the turbine performance test result. Specific torque of the subject turbine could be expressed as a linear function of corrected rotor speed at a fixed pressure ratio and it has been confirmed by the test result. It also found that corrected rotor speed-specific torque characteristics does not change anymore if the turbine pressure ratio is set bigger than a certain value. Using the turbine torque characteristics and pyro-starter performance test results, rotational speed development behavior of the turbopump was predicted. Prediction revealed that the lap time reaching 50% of turbopump design speed is less than 0.7 second. Effect of the thermal loss between pyro-starter and turbopump was negligible.
