A Relational Approach to Political Geography of Border Dynamics: Case study of North Korea-China Border Region Dandong, China (접경지역 변화의 관계론적 정치지리학: 북한-중국 접경지역 단둥을 중심으로)

  • Since the 1990s, political geographers have focused on the study of the process of border construction. They have shifted from the old morphological and functional approaches to boundary that have focused on the types and functions of boundaries. Recent scholarship on border studies understand boundaries and the border regions as entities with overlapping and competing relationships not as manifestation of territoriality. There has been the emphasis on the multidimensional actors and the historical and cultural legacies inherent in the border region as well. Based on these recent discussions, this study examines how the border region has been constructed by various actors and strategies in Dandong China, the border city between North Korea and China. Several sanctions including UN Security Council have been resolved and implemented in accordance with North Korea's nuclear and missile development, which is a relevant example to examine the "border as relationships" in which strategies of various actors are competing. In addition, this paper has a significance as a case study on the construction process of border and the characteristics of its materiality, which is a way to overcome the limitation of discourse-oriented critical geopolitical research.

Comparison of Some Physicochemical Properties and Adsorption of Organic Cations between Ca- and Na-bentonites (Ca-형 및 Na-형 벤토나이트의 제반 물성 및 유기양이온 흡착비교)

  • Ca-type and Na-type bentonites show the great difference of some physicochemical properties. Na exchanged bentonite is mainly used for the foundry and construction materials in domestic utilization. This study tries to identify in detail the differences of some physicochemical properties and thermal properties between Ca-type and Na-type bentonites. Also the adsorption behavior and interlayer expansion for the HDTMA (Hexadecyltrimethylammonium) exchanged and CP (Cetylprydinium) exchanged Ca-type and Na-type bentonites were compared. Na-type bentonite shows the strong alkaline property, high viscosity and swelling compared to Ca-type bentonite. However, two types are very similar for the cation exchange capacity and MB (Methylene Blue) adsorption. The decomposition of adsorbed and interlayer water of Na-type bentonite is caused in the lower temperature than Ca-type bentonite. And Ca-type bentonite shows the decomposition of structural water in the lower temperature than Na-type bentonite. The interlayer expansion of montmorillonite resulted to the intercalation of HDTMA and CP into bentonite is so strongly caused from 12~15 $\AA$ to $40\AA$ (basal spacing). HDTMA-bentonite is almost expanded to $37~38\AA$ when 200% CEC equivalent amount of HDTMA is added, and CP-bentonite is fullly expanded to 40 $\AA$ in the 140% CEC equivalent amount of CP It means that CP causes the stronger interlayer expansion of montmorillonite and easier adsorption than HDTMA. Adsorption behaviors of CP into bentonite is so stable and continuously sorbed in the proportion to the treatment of amount until 200% of the CEC equivalents. CP-bentonite shows the same adsorption behavior regardless of Ca-type or Na-type montmorillonite.

The Properties of Natural Hydroxyapatite Isolated from Tuna Bone (참치뼈로 부터 추출한 천연 Hydroxyapatite의 특성)

  • For the effective utilization of the fish bone waste from seafood industry, the physical properties of the isolated hydroxyapatite from tuna bon have been investigated. On X-ray measurements, the chemical formula and phase of the bone calcined by various temperature were detected as $Ca_{10}\;(PO_4)_6\;(OH)_2$, and hydroxyapatite, respectively. It was shown that the chemical properties of apatite separated from tuna bone were controlled by Ca/P ratio. The mean agglomerate particle diameter was changed as a function of temperature. However, the particle shape has a geometrically non-regular types. These trends are consistent with SEM images. The composition of the glass-ceramic batch by calcined tuna bone was not perfectly agreed with the suggested data, but the partially substituted composition possibly shows the application of it as a bioceramic material.

  • 본 연구에서는 새로운 개념의 건조방법을 연구하여 곡물건조의 변화를 도모하고자 원적외선ㆍ열풍 복합열을 이용한 곡물건조기를 개발하게 되었다. 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 가. 방사체길이가 1,680mm일 때 보다 1,470mm일 때가 방사체 표면온도가 높게 나타났고, 안정적인 것으로 나타났다. 열풍온도를 5$0^{\circ}C$로 설정했을 때 방사체의 표면온도분포는 280-29$0^{\circ}C$을 유지하였고, 6$0^{\circ}C$일 때는 30$0^{\circ}C$ 부근에서 유지되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 두 조건 모두에서 온도편차는 크게 나타나지 않았으므로 균일 건조가 이루어지는 것을 의미하며, 곡물의 품질저하에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 판단된다. 나. 열풍온도 5$0^{\circ}C$, 조사거리 125mm, 방사체 길이 1,470mm에서 방사체 길이방향으로 위치에 따라서 온도편차를 측정했을 때 버너를 기점으로 해서 근거리에서부터 원거리까지 균등 분할하여 5점의 온도를 측정하여 그 변화곡선을 분석한 결과 위치 3에서 온도가 높았고, 계속해서 위치 4, 5, 2, 1순으로 나타났다. 버너의 근거리에서보다 원거리에서 온도가 높게 나타난 것은 원적외선방사체를 통과하는 열풍이 빠져나가도록 되어있는 열풍유동관이 버너 원거리에 위치하고 있어 버너에 불꽃이 점화되면서 열풍이 방사체 끝쪽으로 유동되기 때문이다. 다. 건조실 수직면 길이방향의 온도는 열풍공기가 열풍실에서 유입되는 하단부이 온도가 높게 나타났고, 버너쪽과 송풍기쪽의 온도차는 나타나지 않아 온도분포의 좌우 대칭이 잘 되어 균일 건조가 되는 것으로 판단된다 이러한 현상은 건조실의 수평면에 대해서도 같은 현상이 나타났다. 라. 바닥면에서 상부로 올라갈수록 낮은 온도분포를 나타내고 있는 것은 상부에는 외부공기가 유입되면서 온도가 떨어지는 반면 하부에는 외부공기 유입이 적기 때문으로 사료된다. 또한 열풍실의 길이방향 위치별 온도 분포에서도 같은 현상으로 나타났고, 버너쪽과 송풍기쪽의 온도편차는 나타나지 않아 균일 건조를 기대할 수 있다. 마. 열풍온도를 45$^{\circ}C$로 설정하고 조사거리와 방사체 길이를 각각 119, 1,470mm로 하여 벼의 건조성능시험을 열풍건조기(대비구)와 비교시험 결과 시험구에서 건감률, 건조소요에너지가 각각 0.58%(w.b.), 470kcal/kg - water로 대비구보다 각각 건감율은 23% 높았고, 건조소요에너지는 2%의 절감되었다. 바. 건조기에서 발생되는 소음은 버너쪽 근처에서는 대비구 94.12㏈의 87%에 불과하였으나, 거리가 멀어질수록 차이는 크지 않았다. 이것은 버너에서 멀어질수록 외부적인 요인이 소음에 영향을 미쳤기 때문인 것으로 생각된다. 사. 시작기와 대비구간의 경제성에서 시작기의 구입가격이 20% 비싸기 때문에 시간당 고정비가 높았으나, 건조성능이 우수하여 건조비용이 69,350원/톤으로 대비구보다 14% 절감되는 것으로 나타났다.

Tension Lap Splice Length in High-Strength Concrete Flexural Members (고강도 콘크리트 휨부재의 인장 겹침이음길이에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents the test results of total 24 beam-end specimens to investigate the effect of high-strength concrete and cover thickness on the development resistance capacity in tensile lap splice length regions. Based on bond characteristics that an increase in concrete strength results in higher bond stress and shortening of the transfer length, cracking behavior that thin cover thickness induced a splitting crack easily and brittle crack propagation, current design code that development length provisions as uniform bond stress assumption was investigated apply as it. The results showed that as higher strength concrete was employed, not only development resistance capacity was influenced by cover thickness, but also more sufficient safety factor reserved shorter than the lap splice length provision in current design code. From experimental research results, high-strength concrete development length was not inverse ratio of $\sqrt{f_{ck}}$ but directly inverse of $f_{ck}$, and it is also said that there is a certain limit length of the embedded steel over which the assumption of uniform bond stress distribution is valid specially for high-strength concrete not having a same embed length such as normal-strength concrete in current design criteria hypothesis.

Purification and Characterization of Inulinase from Penicillium sp. (Penicillium sp. 유래 Inulinase의 정제 및 특성)

  • An extracellular inulinase from Penicillium sp. which isolated from soil sample was purified to a single protein th-rough ammonium sulfate fractionation, DEAE-Sephacel ion exchange chromatography and Toyopearl HW 65 F gel filtration. The temperature and pH for the enzyme reaction were around 6$0^{\circ}C$ and 4.0, respectively. The enzyme was stable at 3$0^{\circ}C$-5$0^{\circ}C$ and in the pH range of 4 to 5. $CuCl_2$, $HgCl_2$ and EDTA inhibited the enzyme activity strongly. By contrast, $MnCl_2$ and $CaCl_2$ activated the enzyme activity. The molecular weight of the purified enzyme was esti-mated to be 77,000 dalton by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The Km values of the enzyme for inulin were calculated to be $2.2\times10^{-3}$M. TLC analysis suggested that purified enzyme is exo-type inulinase. The NH2-terminal amino acid sequences of the purified enzyme was determined to be $NH_2$-X-Glu-Ser-Tyr-Thr-Glu-Lys/Leu-Tyr-Arg-Pro.

  • 본 논문에서는 본 연구실에서 개발한 주소 음성인식 시스템의 인식 속도를 개선시키기 위하예 새로운 가변 프루닝 문턱치를 적용하는 방법을 제안하고 실험을 통하여 그 유효성을 확인하였다. 기존의 가변 프루닝 문턱치는 일정 프레임이 경과하면 일정 값을 가진 문턱치를 계속하여 감소시켜나가는 방법을 반복하기 때문에, 불필요한 탐색공간을 탐색하게 된다. 본 논문에서 새로이 제안하는 가변 프루닝 문턱치를 채용하는 방법은 처음 일정 구간이 경과되면 일정 문턱치를 감소시키나, 다음 일정 프레임에서는 탐색되어야할 후보에 따라서 문턱치를 변화시켜 프루닝시키기 때문에 탐색공간을 효과적으로 감소시킬 수 있다. 제안된 방법의 유효성을 확인하기 위하여, 본 연구실에서 개발한 한국어 주소 입력 시스템에 적용하였다. 이 시스템은 48개의 연속 HMM 유사음소단위(Phoneme Like Units; PLUs)를 인식의 기본단위로 하고, .사용환경 변화에 의한 인식성능의 저하를 최소화하기 위해 최대사후 확률추정법(Maximum A Posteriori Probability Estimation; MAP)을 사용하며, 인식알고리즘으로는OPDP(One Pass Dynamic Programming)법을 이용하고 있다. 남성화자 3인에 의한 75개의 연결주소명을 이용하여 인식 실험을 수행한 결과 고정 프루닝 문턱치를 적용한 경우 인식률은 평균 $96.0\%$, 인식 시간은 5.26초였고, 기존의 가변 프루닝 문턱치의 경우 인식률은 평균 $96.0\%$, 인식 시간은 5.1초인 데 비하여, 새로운 가변 프루닝 문턱치를 적용찬 경우에는 인식률 저하없이 인식 시간이 4.34초로, 기존에 비해 각각 0.92초, 0.76초 인식 시간이 감소되어 제안한 방법의 유효성을 확인할 수 있었다.는 달리 각 산란 영역에서 그 지수는 1씩 작은 값을 갖는다.향에 따라 음장변화가 크게 다를 것이 예상되므로 이를 규명하기 위해서는 궁극적으로 3차원적인 음장분포 연구가 필요하다. 음향센서를 해저면에 매설할 경우 수충의 수온변화와 센서 주변의 수온변화 사이에는 어느 정도의 시간지연이 존재하게 되므로 이에 대한 영향을 규명하는 것도 센서의 성능예측을 위해서 필요하리라 사료된다.가지는 심부 가스의 개발 성공률을 증가시키기 위하여 심부 가스가 존재하는 지역의 지질학적 부존 환경 및 조성상의 특성과 생산시 소요되는 생산비용을 심도에 따라 분석하고 생산에 수반되는 기술적 문제점들을 정리하였으며 마지막으로 향후 요구되는 연구 분야들을 제시하였다. 또한 참고로 현재 심부 가스의 경우 미국이 연구 개발 측면에서 가장 활발한 활동을 전개하고 있으며 그 결과 다수의 신뢰성 있는 자료들을 확보하고 있으므로 본 논문은 USGS와 Gas Research Institute(GRI)에서 제시한 자료에 근거하였다.ऀĀ耀Ā삱?⨀؀Ā Ā?⨀ጀĀ耀Ā?돀ꢘ?⨀硩?⨀ႎ?⨀?⨀넆돐쁖잖⨀쁖잖⨀/ࠐ?⨀焆덐瀆倆Āⶇ퍟ⶇ퍟ĀĀĀĀ磀鲕좗?⨀肤?⨀⁅Ⴅ?⨀쀃잖⨀䣙熸ጁ↏?⨀

  • While use of a pet bottle with use it is light recently and convenient increases quickly, it is used from the child, also diffusing the user to a pet bottle to people of various classes, such as an old person, a woman, a male, the man in the street, and a disabled person. However, those who are standardized on the basis of the common man with the plan energy of a pet bottle, and cannot attain to the standard, That is, a child and a disabled person may be condemnedto the vague situation that a lid cannot be opened or a contents thing cannot be drunk without external help. And the characteristic of a material and production which are called PET Even if convenience is emphasized for the cost reduction of COST, a design is chosen easily, and even if it calls it the man in the street, the point of coming to experience a situation with the difficult time of use can be found well. In research of a book, problem derivation which classifies entering school and a preschool boy and girl child for a child drink for an object first by the viewpoint of universal design paying attention to such problems, and leads the actual use example of a pet bottle was carried out in true heart, and various notional approach was shown by the solution method.

A Study on the Manufacturing Technique by Scientific Analysis and Reproduction Experiment of Ancient Silver Objects Excavated from Neungnae-ri, Ganghwa Island (강화도 능내리출토 은제유물의 과학적 분석 및 재현실험을 통한 제작기법 연구)

  • For the silver artifacts in the Koryo Dynasty excavated from Neungnae-ri Ganghwa island, the metallographic section analysis and hardness and chemical analysis were conducted. After making samples in the similar ratio of the composition concentration, the changes of the microstructure were checked according to the working method and temperature. The results show that those silver artifacts are Au-Cu alloys with 2 to 6 % of Cu. From the results it is judged that Cu was artificially alloyed with them to keep the proper hardness and identified that they were gilded by the amalgamation process seeing that mercury was included at the guilt layer. Also the porous texture on the surface of them could be formed at over $400^{\circ}C$, therefore, it is assumed the hot working or heat treatment at over $400^{\circ}C$ were performed. In silver artifacts made by the relief and repousse, they have the similar composition analysis to other 7 artifacts but the hardness is lower than pure silver. Consequently from differences in the hardness, it can be inferred that the low hardness of silver artifacts is concerned with manufacturing techniques.

Quality Characteristics of Fresh Noodles With Hot-air-dried Perilla Leaf powder (열풍 건조 들깻잎 분말을 첨가한 생면의 품질특성)

  • This study produced hot-air-dried perilla leaf to add Korea's popular perilla leaf to fresh noodles to examine their value as food and get the best fresh noodle recipe by adding 0%, 3%. 6%, 9%, and 12% of perilla leaf to flour. The moisture content of the dough was highest at 34.41% for the control group with 0% perilla leaf, whereas the pH was lowest at 5.59 for the dough with 12% perilla leaf. As a result of WRC analysis of the dough, moisture absorption increased with greater perilla leaf content. The moisture content of fresh noodles was lowest for the control group with 0% perilla leaf, whereas the pH was highest for the control group. The L, a, and b values of the dough were highest for the group with 0% perilla leaf powder. Hardness and cohesiveness were lowest for the 0% group and springiness tended to decrease with increased amounts of hot air-dried perilla leaf. The number of microorganisms decreased significantly with greater perilla leaf content on the third and fourth days. As a result of the sensory test, the 6% dough showed the highest scores for all items including appearance, flavor, color, taste, and texture. Overall acceptability was also highest at 7.20 for the 6% dough and lowest at 3.27 for the 12% dough. Based on the above results, when producing fresh noodles by adding hot-air-dried perilla leaf powder, inhibition of microorganisms improved with greater perilla leaf content for longer storage, but the sensory properties were best when 6% perilla leaf content was added.
