The educational system of Korean elementary schools switches eventually from that of cramming to open study emphasizing student's autonomy and attaching importance to their individuality. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to establish renovational course for conventional classes to practise open education proper to Korean situations at a minimum of expense and time. And the consequence of this study can be summarized as follows : 1) To prepare for various learning activities, a multipurpose space that can be shared by three or four classes is required. 2) Partitions that have divided the existing spaces of unit study must be removed and substituted to a movable partition to make the class variable according to the form of study.

국내 최초 '오리장염'에 관한 연구가 발표되었다. 전북대학교 수의과대학 조류질병학교실(교수 : 장형관, 발표자 : 장상호 대학원생)은 국내에서 아직 보고된 바 없는 '오리장염 바이러스' 진단과 예방에 활용될 수 있는 결과를 발표, 지난해 열린 대한수의학회 추계학술대회에서 수의양계대상을 수상하여 주목받고 있다. 이 논문은 오리장염바이러스의 국내 첫 보고 및 특성구명을 통해 바이러스가 어디로부터 유래했는지 연구 분석한 것이다. 이번 연구발표로 국내 오리 사육농가의 오리장염바이러스의 진단과 예방에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대되고 있어 귀추가 모아진다. 전북대 수의학대학 수의학과 장형관 교수는 건국대 수의학과를 졸업하고 수의미생물학 석사를 취득 후 93년 일본으로 넘어가 동경대학교 수의전염병학 수의학박사학위를 취득했다. 현재 전북대 수의학과 교수이면서 인수 공동전염병연구소 소장을 맡고 있으며, 전라북도 가축방역협의회 및 농림수산검역검사본부 동식물위생연구소 질병진단과 자문위원으로도 활발히 활동하고 있다.

전통적인 교수.학습의 형태를 벗어나 새로운 환경인 웹을 통한 교육이 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 대다수의 웹을 통한 교육들은 단지 웹 환경이라는 이름 하에 평면적인 의사소통의 한계를 벗어나지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 대한 대안으로 본 연구에서는 가장 대중적인 실시간 의사소통 프로그램인 채팅 프로그램을 기반으로 교육용 대화 애플리케이션을 개발하였다. 이 애플리케이션이 교실 내.외적으로 열린교육에 대한 지대한 관심을 쏟고 있는 최근의 학교 교육에 하나의 학습 도구로서 활용될 수 있음을 기대한다.

During the 2000s there were changes in the educational facility policy having impact on school architecture, such as departmental classroom system by the 7th national curriculum and BTL projects. Especially for secondary school architecture with the new keyword of 'departmental classroom system' unlike elementary school with the well-known keyword of 'open classroom', the emergence of new school architecture was anticipated. For these reasons it is worth while to notice secondary school architecture in the 2000s and this study aims to review the architectural characteristics of middle schools as first step. Cases of 18 schools selected by EDUMAC were analyzed focused on site planning and planning characteristics of each spaces. Through the analysis, the architectural characteristics of middle schools in the 2000s are summarized and comments on some problems are made. In summary, case schools have typical characteristics of Korean school architecture in unit classrooms and block plan for daylight condition. On the other hand, they have more diversity in space organization and facility program. But it leave something to be desired in expressing urban architectural characteristics, traditionality and locality with searching for new school architecture.

In this study, we examined classroom interaction to explore the relationships among teacher questions, turn-taking patterns, and student talks in mathematics classrooms. We analyzed lessons given by three elementary teachers (two first-grade teachers and one second-grade teacher) who worked in the same school using a conversation-analytic approach. We observed individual classrooms three times in a year. The results revealed that when teachers provided open-ended questions, such as "why and how" questions and "agree and disagree" questions, and used a non-IRE pattern (teacher initiation-student response-teacher feedback; Mehan, 1979), students more actively engaged in classroom discourse by justifying their ideas and refuting others' thinking. Conversely, when teachers provided closed-ended questions, such as "what" questions, and used an IRE pattern, students tended to give short answers focusing on only one point. The findings suggested teachers should use open-ended questions and non-IRE turn-taking patterns to create an effective math-talk learning community. In addition, school administrators and mathematics educators should support teachers to acquire practical knowledge regarding this approach.

지난 20여년간의 비약적 경제 성장을 통하여 우리 사회는 모든 물리적 측면에서 양적인 성장과 질적인 발전을 거듭하여 왔다. 이러한 경제 성장기를 거치면서 우리의 삶은 다각도에서 변화를 겪었으며 건축환경에도 많은 변화가 있었다. 정보화, 세계화라는 시대적 흐름은 우리의 생활자체를 급속도로 변화시키고 있으며 업무용 시설을 포함한 모든 건축물이 대형화, 고층화 뿐 아니라 정보화, 현대화되고 있다. 그러나, 교육의 중요성과 이를 뒷받침해 줄 학교 시설의 중요성에도 불구하고 교육환경의 질적 개선은 상대적으로 낙후되어 있는 상황이라고 할 수 있다. 교육개혁위원회의 교육개혁방안이 계속적으로 나오고 있고 서울의 불암초등학교를 필두로 한 시설 현대화 시범학교가 시도별로 마련되고는 있지만 전반적인 교육 환경은 아직 열악한 상태이다. 특히 구도심부에 위치한 초등학교의 경우, 준공된 후 30년 이상 경과된 학교 건물을 사용하고 있는 경우가 적지 않아 안전상의 문제마저 안고 있는 실정이다. 따라서, 건물의 내구 연한이 그 한계에 달해 가고 유지보수비용이 계속적으로 늘어 경제성을 잃어 가고 있는 학교들을 대상으로 한 재건축과제가 신설 학교의 신축 또는 기존학교의 이전 못지 않은 주요 과제로 대두되고 있다. 더욱이 기존 학교의 재건축사업은 수업을 진행시켜가며 철거 및 신축공사가 단계적으로 수행돼야 한다는 어려움을 갖고 있다. 본 연구는 초등학교의 재건축을 위한 기본적인 자료를 정리하고 배치 및 평면 계획을 중심으로 한 계획 대안을 작성, 검토하여 대안별 장단점을 분석한 후 가장 바람직하다고 평가되는 안을 제시하는 것을 연구의 범위로 하였다. 계획안의 작성에 앞서 실시된 문헌조사 및 실측조사를 통하여, 신축되는 홍파초등학교에 필요한 시설의 내용 및 규모가 산정되었는데 특기할 사항은 좁은 대지임에도 불구하고 가능한 체육관 시설을 포함시키고자 하였다는 것이다. 홍파초등학교 부지는 $8,960m^2$ 정도밖에 안되는 좁은 부지로서 운동장도 제대로 확보할 수 없는 상황이었으나 체육관의 높은 활용도 및 장래의 필요성을 고려하여 소규모라도 계획되는 것이 바람직하다고 판단하였다. 열린교육에의 대응, 제반 특별교실의 확충, 식당 및 지하주차장의 확보 등 모든 시설이 현재 및 장차의 사용에 적합하도록 계획하여 현 시설의 1.5배 정도의 연면적을 갖는 신축 계획안을 작성하였다. 서울대학교와 광운대학교에서 분담하여 실시된 계획안의 작성을 통하여 총 4개의 계획안이 도출되었으며 이 대안들을 채광 및 환기, 학년별 zoning, 기능별 zoning, 열린교실의 정도, 지역사회에의 개방성, 재건축 공사의 용이성, 규모, 옥외공간의 활용성, 동선 계획, 조형성 등 10개 항목을 기준으로 평가하였다. 이러한 비교분석을 통하여 결론적으로 제1안을 최적안으로 제시하게 되었으며, 이를 바탕으로 구체적인 최종 설계안이 도출되기를 기대하는 바이다.

본 연구에서는 다양한 멀티미디어 기술과 인터넷의 열린 접근성을 이용하여 고등학교 윤리과목에 대해서 폐쇄적 운영이 가능한 학습 시스템을 개발하였다 이 개별 학습별 수업의 요구에 부응하여 학습자와 상호작용이 가능하며 즉각적인 피드백을 통해 학습자에게 적절한 자극을 줌으로써 학습의욕의 고취를 강화할 수 있고 학습자의 능력에 따라 학습의 속도를 조절이 가능하여서 개별학습의 효과를 높여줄 수있도록 계획되었다. 특히 문자, 그래픽, 영상, 음향, 음성 그리고 비디오 등과 같은 여러 미디어를 병합시켜 표현하는 멀티미디어를 교육에 적용시킨 하이퍼미디어 학습 코스웨어는 학습자의 주의력과 상상력을 키워 줄 수 있으며 학습자가 학습에 흥미를 갖고 학습 과정에 능동적으로 참여할 수 있도록 하며 적극적으로 원하는 정보를 선정하고 학습 순서를 조정하는 등 학습 동기가 높은 상호 작용적 학습 환경을 창조하고 자신에게 적합하게 여러 주제로 이동하고 정보를 연결해 보다 융통성 있는 시스템을 이용함으로써 학습의 효과를 높일 수 있음을 살펴보았다. 이러한 멀티미디어의 특성을 이용하여 교수의 효율성을 최대한으로 살리기 위해 고등학교 윤리과목에 대한 멀티미디어 CAI와 폐쇄적으로 운영가능한 학습사이트를 설계 및 개발하였다.

Open education, which has been introduced spontaneous1y to many countries, has been giving some strong influence to the primary education in Korea and has been widely used in Korea itself. This report deals with the ineffectiveness of the learning space which has been divided into common classroom and particular classroom. The division of the learning space sets the problem of defining which is the particular of common subject, and the problem of a child to move around for different subject. For the architectural design of school, it is essential for learning space to be suitable for the characteristics of each subjects. The space needed for individual subjects requires tole learning space that is different to the space needed for basic academic subjects. The introduction of different corners in the classroom can be the solution. Individual corners can be divided into the necessary coner, the standard corner, the elective corner and the corner fur facilities.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the in vitro anti-inflammatory, anti-pruritic and antimicrobial effects of the three herbal prescription (EST, SCT, WDT), which has been traditionally used for treating leukorrhea induced by various infections in the female genital tract. Methods: In this experiment, the anti-inflammatory effects were evaluated by Nitric oxide (NO), $Interlukine-1{\beta}$ ($IL-1{\beta}$), Interlukine-2 (IL-2), Interlukine-6 (IL-6), Tumor necrosis $factor-{\alpha}$ ($TNF-{\alpha}$), Prostaglandin $E_2$ ($PGE_2$), Leukotriene $B_4$ ($LTB_4$) production amount and Inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), Nuclear factor kappa B ($NF-{\kappa}B$), Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) gene expression levels in RAW264.7 cells. And the anti-pruritic effects were evaluated by Histamine, Acetylcholine (ACh), Acetylcholinesterase (AChE), Substance P production amount in Mast cell/9 (MC/9) and Pheochromocytoma 12 (PC12) cells. The anti-microbial effect was measured by inhibition zone diameter on Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger. Results: As a result of measuring anti-inflammatory efficacy, $IL-1{\beta}$, IL-2, IL-6, $TNF-{\alpha}$, $PGE_2$, and $LTB_4$ production amounts were significantly reduced in the EST, SCT, WDT extraction groups compared with the control group, and significantly decreased the amount of $NF-{\kappa}B$, iNOS, and COX-2 gene expression and the amount of Phospho-Inhibitor kappa B alpha ($p-I{\kappa}B-{\alpha}$)/Inhibitor kappa B alpha ($I{\kappa}B-{\alpha}$) and $NF-{\kappa}B$ p65 protein expression. In addition, As a result of measuring the anti-pruritic effect, the amounts of histamine, ACh and Substance P were significantly decreased, and AChE production was slightly decreased, but it's significance did not appear. Finally the anti-microbial effects of EST, SCT, WDT extraction groups against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger was inhibited, however the growth of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus was not inhibited. Conclusions: These data suggest that EST, SCT, WDT can be used to treat patients with leukorrhea.
