  • 철강 생산라인 중에서도 핵심적인 열간압연 라인의 연속 사상압연 공정을 소개하고 스탠드간에 위치한 루퍼의 각도 제어와 장력제어의 상호 관계를 설명하였다. 또한 압연용 전동기 속도 제어계 특성의 설계법을 보였다. 이와 같은 연속 압연 공정에서는 철판이 여러 압연기에 동시에 물려있는 상태로 운전되므로 인접한 압연기들의 속도 제어 응답성이 동일한 특성을 갖는 것이 필요하다.

A Learning Model of Forward Slip Ratio Based on Model Identification in Hot Strip Finishing Mill Process (모델규명법에 기초한 열간 사상압연 선진율 학습모델)

  • This paper reviews the learning model of a forward slip ratio in order to improve the mass-flow stability and strip qualities in the hot strip finishing mill process. Firstly, it is shown, from mathematical analysis, that the significant parameters of the forward slip ratio are the tension, looper angle, and roll velocity. Secondly, a discrete-time learning model of the forward slip ratio is proposed from these parameters, which is identified by an instrumental variable (IV) identification algorithm. Finally, it is shown from computer simulation that the proposed learning model is more effective than the existing learning model.

  • We describe the looper controller design for a hot strip mill. The looper is to control the strip tension which influences on the width of the strip. It is very important to control the looper control of the hot strip mill, but difficult to control the looper, because there exists on mutual interaction among strip gauge, looper angle, and strip tension. In this paper, we present the modeling for the hot strip finishing mill to control the tension of the strip and suggest a cross control method. The cross control is a very simple method that allows non-interacting control.

  • 각 스탠드 유한요소해석 결과인 기계적-열적 변수들을 이용하여 재결정계산을 한다. 이때 온도변화를 정확히 반영하기 위해 재결정부피율 계산과 결정성장 계산에 additivity rule을 도입하였다. 또한 여러단계의 압연공정 각각에서의 재결정거동을 계속 추적하기 위해 또한 이때의 재결정의 영향을 재료유동에 반영하기 위해 substructure의 개념을 도입하였다. 이러한 과정을 거쳐 7패스후의 최종 두께방향으로의 결정크기분포를 얻을 수 있다. 본 연구 에서는 이때의 최종결정크기 분포를 균일화 시킬 수 있는 공정을 유전 알고리즘을 이용하여 찾아보았다.

The Effect of Process Variables on Strip Width Spread and Prediction in Hot Finish Rolling (열간 사상압연에서 스트립 폭 퍼짐의 공정변수 영향 및 예측에 관한 연구)

  • Dimensional accuracy of hot coil is improved by precise control of thickness profiles, flatness, width and winding profile. Especially, precise width control is important because yield could be increased significantly. Precise width control can be improved by predicting the amount of width spread. The purpose of this study is to develop the advanced prediction model for width spread in hot finish rolling for controlling width precisely. FE-simulations were performed to investigate the effect of process variables on width spread such as reduction ratio, forward and backward tension and initial width at each stand. From the statistical analysis of simulated data, advanced model was developed based on the existing models for strip width spread. The experimental hot rolling trials showed that newly developed model provided fairly accurate predictions on the strip width spread during the whole hot finishing rolling process.
