The aim of this study is to analyse a characteristic analysis of coastal passenger vessels' voyage scheduling using the Panel Regression Analysis. The GLS and Fixed Effect Analysis show that the number of canceled flights and passenger transport performance have a positive impact on the voyage scheduling, and that the freight transport performance and freight income vary from model to model. Also, through the LSDV and OLS analysis, the trend of cluster formation by regional office was confirmed. This indicates that there are frequent changes in passenger ship companies and ships, and in-depth plans are needed in various respects rather than the expansion of unconditional ships. Subsequent studies need to generate more detailed and practical results by further analysis of detailed factors, dividing them by route and vessel type.

The development of the traffic system has brought relative reduction in aspect of the cost and time distance on the geographical space. SOC(social overhead capital), an express highway and railroad, has a great and absolute effect on the prosperity of community, As Mokpo is one of the community under the influence q West costal highway express and KTX(Korea Train Express), the number of the tourists visiting city of port like Mokpo has increasing gradually, especially at the high-demand season(in Summer). But the coastal passenger boot can't be capable of customers arriving at the port. As a result of this situation, the 'balking' occurs. No 'balking', means the jam of road. In this thesis, by understanding the concept and property of ARENA and simulating operation of coastal passenger boot at Mokpo port, intends to analyze the truth of 'balking' and finds an effective operation method of coastal passenger boot for the solution to the traffic jam. The solution to the jam in the vicinity of port of Mokpo, which try to develop tourism package commodity now, will present the effect of qualitative analysis in giving an opportunity of economic growth of the community, Mokpo.

The southern coastal area of Korean peninsula maintains unique natural views, social environment and tourism infrastructure. Even though the coastal area has world-class tourism resources and a great potential for development, it was an outsider from the tourism development in Korea. The coast development has recently reemerged because of increased tourism demand in the Northeast Asia, however, increased interest for the outstanding marine tourism resources and the marine culture, improvement of accessibility to the coast Considering these characteristics, the southern coastal area will be grown to a marine resort-belt, which will serve as a marine tourism hub in the Northeast. In the long run, it can be developed for leisure residential space with environment-friendly well-being fashion, new growing area that continuously drives the local development and area for a mutual development between Yeongnam and Honam Region. To accomplish this vision, several strategic matters should be resolved. Mall strategic issues are as follows: the loosening related rules and regulations that limit the development, legislation of a special law for tourism promotion, supporting for investment in public service and strategic investment, establishment of a marine tourism route connecting China-Korea-Japan, formulating new planning for Hallyo-Haesang Marine Park, designation of special marine tourism development zone, and invitation of the World Expo 2012.
