  • Simultaneous control of blowers and heat exchangers affecting the air sealing and flow conditions inside the green house is essential to the management of $CO_2$ concentration. Currently, the demand for automation systems and integrated control is steadily increasing according to increasing of farm areas per person due to the reduction of agricultural population. This paper proposes the integrated control system that can control simultaneously the existing devices such as measurement switching devices which are important variables in the supply of $CO_2$, $CO_2$ generator fuel and combustion air mixture ratio(air-to-fuel ratio), and $CO_2$ supply control under internal and external conditions.

Combustion Control of Refuse Incineration Plant using Fuzzy Model and Genetic Algorithms (퍼지 모델과 유전 알고리즘을 이용한 쓰레기 소각로의 연소 제어)

  • In this paper we propose combustion control of refuse incineration plant using fuzzy model and genetic algorithm. At first fuzzy modelling is performed to obtain fuzzy model of the refuse incineration plant and obtained fuzzy model predicts outputs of the plant when inputs are given. Fuzzy model ca be used to obtain control strategy, and train and enhance operators' skill by simulating the plant. Then genetic algorithms search and find out optimal control inputs over all possible solutions in respect to desired outputs and these are inserted to plant. In order to testify proposed control method, computer simulation was carried out. As a result, ISE of fuzzy model of refuse incineration plant is 0.015 and ITAE of control by proposed method, 352 which is better than that by manual operation.

  • Combustion Instabilities are caused by a coupling between acoustic waves and unsteady heat release. They can be eliminated using passive controller such as a Helmholtz resonator. But, Helmholtz resonator is normally only effective over a narrow frequency range. In this work, Helmholtz resonator is applied for reducing the combustion oscillations and we vary the Helmholtz resonator volume using piston in oder to tune in the wide range of operating conditions. As the result, it is found that the dominant combustion oscillations can be largely reduced by optimizing the size of resonator volume. And, interesting relation for phase difference of dynamic pressure both combustor and the helmholtz resonator are presented in this paper. Also, we investigate semi-active control using Helmholtz equation and phase difference.

  • 연소 효율, 배기 특성을 제어하기 위하여 연소 반응대의 상세한 구조를 이해해야 하며 이를 토대로 열역학적 모델을 만들 필요가 있다. 본 고에서는 이미 여러 연구자들에 의하여 제안된 예혼합 화염의 반응대 구조에 대한 열적 모델과 확산모델을 소개하고 각각에 대한 응용과 가능성에 대하여 저자의 의견을 제시하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 평택화력 제2호기 FDF(Forced Draft Fan : 압입송풍기, 이하 FDF) 출구의 공기량제어를 Vane Control 시스템으로 구성되어 있는 것을 구동 유도전동기에 가변속 제어시스템(이하 VFD: Variable Frequency Drive)으로 교체하여 발생한 실험결과를 보여준다. VFD는 Vane을 전개(全開)하고 전동기 속도를 변경시켜 연소에 필요한 노내 공기량을 제어하는 방식이다. VFD 운전은 정속도 Vane 개도 운전에 비해 Throttle Loss를 최소화해서 에너지 절감효과는 크지만 간단한 Vane 제어기에 비해 복잡한 전력전자제어시스템이 어우러진 기기로 신뢰도는 떨어지는 것이 사실이다. 따라서 고도의 신뢰성이 요구되는 전력생산 보일러에서 후비보호책으로 VFD 고장 시에 Vane제어 모드로 절환은 필연적으로 필요한 설비이다. VFD에서 Vane으로 절환 시에 일어나는 과도상태를 최소화하기 위해서는 보일러 연소제어 알고리즘의 최적화가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 구현된 제어알고리즘을 정리한 것이다.

  • One of main functions of the firing control system applied to a rocket propulsion test has been to provide electric current for ignition of a solid rocket motor. This paper describes the design and implementation of an enhanced firing control system for ground propulsion test that can also control and verify various types of squib events and flight sequences.

  • The fuzzy controller of the FFH(Fuel Fired Heater) used for vehicle is designed in this study. Two of the most important things of the pre-heater are how fast it can be at the set temperature and how to reduce the temperature deviation in the space to a minimum. The temperature deviation of the existed FFH with PI controller for temperature controller was reduced. Also, the fuzzy controller improved the response characteristics, and then the performance was inspected. When setting the temperature in this designed fuzzy controller, it took 12 minutes in the existed PI control method to reach $25^{\circ}C$. However, it took 9 minutes and 20 seconds in the fuzzy control method. Therefore, it is proved that the fuzzy controller is better than the existed one with fast response performance as 2 minutes 40 seconds. The temperature deviation was $2.4^{\circ}C$ in the existed control method but $1.6^{\circ}C$ in the designed fuzzy controller. Accordingly, the temperature deviation was improved too.

  • 현대우주항공(주)가 미국의 AlliedSignal사와 함께 국제 공동 개발중인 10MW급의 ASE120 엔진은 항공용 엔진을 산업용으로 개조한 개조형 엔진으로서 희박 예혼합 예기화(Lean Premix prevaporization) 방식의 연소기를 쓰고 있다. 이 연소기는 연소에 관여하는 공기량을 부하에 따라 가감하여 일정 공연비를 유지하는 air staging법을 사용하고 있으며 이로써 연소화염온도를 일정치로 조절하여 연소중 생성되는 유해가스의 양을 목표치 이하로 제어한다. 연소화염온도 설계치는 2912$^{\circ}$F이며 배기가스 발생량은 NOx, CO모두 궁극적으로 10ppmv 이하를 목표로 하고 있다. 이러한 건식 저 배기가스(Dry Low Emission) 연소기가 그 역할을 다하기 위하여는 양호한 혼합기를 확보하는 것이 선결 문제이다. 본 연구소에서는 두 개의 혼합기(mixing can)가 180$^{\circ}$ 간격으로 환형 연소기(annular type)에 접선 방향으로 설치되어 대칭을 이루고 있고 혼합기의 혼합성능을 측정하기 위하여 제작된 시험장치에는 하나의 혼합기만을 쓰고 있다.

  • This study investigated on the conversion of nitrogen component in ammonia gas to control fuel-NOx. Control conditions were found to suppress the production of NOx in the catalytic combustion of the gasified fuels. Also, the results would provide the basis of the theoretical study on fuel-NOx generation mechanism.
