  • 이상 소개한 바와 같이 미쓰비시의 경우 현상의 기술로서도 실린더내 분사는 4l 클래스 엔진까지 확대가능하고 앞으로 더욱 엄격해질 배출가스의 규제와 저연비의 요구로 디젤엔진에 대신하여 소형트럭에까지 탑제가 확대될 것으로 추측된다. 그리고 이와 같은 초희박연소에 의한 저연비와 체적효율 향상에 따른 고출력의 양립은 지구환경보호측면에서도 크게 기대할 새로운 기술의 개가라 할수 있을 것이다.

An Analytical Evaluation on the flue Gas and Combustion Efficiency of Emulsion Fuel (에멀죤 연료의 연소 배출가스특성 및 연소 효율에 관한 분석평가)

  • The combustion behavior of heavy oil and its emulsion with water was evaluated. The concentration of $SO_x$ in the combustion gas of emulsion oil was reduced to 57% with respect to that of the combustion gas from neat heavy oil. Also, the concentration of $NO_x$ in the combustion gas of emulsion oil was reduced to 67% with respect to that of the combustion gas of neat heavy oil. These reductions of $SO_x$ in the combustion gas of emulsion oil seems to be due to the reaction with salts included in surfactant of emulsion oil. Also, the combustion efficiency of emulsion oil is evaluated to be about 6% higher than that of neat heavy oil.

Comparison of Carbon Dioxide Emission Concentration according to the Age of Agricultural Heating Machine (농업용 난방기의 사용 연식에 따른 이산화탄소 배출농도 비교)

  • This study was carried out to collect gas emitted from agricultural heaters using kerosene and to identify the emission concentration of carbon dioxide according to the age of agricultural heating machine. As a result of the linear regression analysis, the carbon dioxide emissions according to the year of agricultural heating machine are R2 = 0.84, which follows y = 26.99x+721.98. Distributed analysis was classified into three groups according to the age of agricultural heating machine. As a result of the distributed analysis, it was 2.196×10-13, which was smaller than the 0.05 probability set for the analysis, which means that there is a difference in at least one group. As a result, the age of the agriculture machine was divided into three groups and the difference between groups was tested. A statistical analysis result was derived that there was a difference in the emission concentration of carbon dioxide according to the age of agricultural heating machine. It is thought that it can be used to investigate greenhouse gas emissions by investigating the amount of carbon dioxide generated by agricultural heaters in the agricultural field of Korea.

  • 상용 IGCC발전소의 특징적 공정흐름에 대한 분석기술의 확보를 위해 PDU급 IGCC발전계통에 대한 성능평가와 NOx 배출에 대한 모델링을 수행하였다. 향후 IGCC발전소 건설시 선정가능성이 있는 4가지 가스화 공정에서 생산되는 석탄가스를 연료로 하고, 그 발전계통의 대상 가스터빈은 산업현장에서 사용되고 있는 GE사의 LM1600PA를 선정하였다. 석탄가스는 천연가스에 비해 가스터빈의 효율과 출력 상승을 가져오나, 이와 동시에 압축기 탈설계점 작동문제를 야기 시킬 수 있다. 또한 NOx 발생량은 석탄가스 연소시 급격히 증가하며, NOx 제어를 위해 질소분사가 이루어져야 함을 알 수 있었다.

  • An integrated adsorption/catalytic process has been considered to treat dioxin and $NO_x$ simultaneously. The process consists of a cyclone and a reactor with nine bag filters. In this study, numerical analysis has been performed to understand flow characteristics with inflow-duct types in the reactor. To consider flue gas and activated carbon particles simultaneously, Euler-Lagrangian model was employed. Fundamental flow patterns of flue gas and activated carbon particles, pressure distribution and distribution of activated carbon have been obtained from the numerical analysis. Also trace length and residence time of flue gas, residence time of activated carbon particles have been calculated directly. Flow patterns of flue gas and activated carbon particles in the reactor were very complicated and they moved along very various paths. Therefore, their residence time in the reactor was also various. The flow characteristics in the reactor were strongly influenced by inflow-duct types. The results obtained would be effectively used to estimate the removal efficiency in the reactor once the residence time is combined with the reaction equation.

Early Fuel Evaporator Effects on Cold Driveability of Automobile (조기연료 기화장치의 냉간 시동 및 주행 성능 분석)

  • The object of this paper is to investigate the effects of early fuel evaporators on cold driveability of gasoline passenger cars. Experiment has been carried out for the assessment cold start performance and cold driveability. And fuel consumption rate, emission and cylinder pressure were measured. On the base of combustion pressure of cylinder, rate of heat release, cumulative heat release amount and burned mass fraction are evaluated. The results show that fuel consumption rate is increased by 17.7%, monoxide and hydrocarbon were reduced by 23% and by 45% respectively, fluctuations of indicated mean effective pressure and maximum combustion pressure were increased by 4∼6%, fuel consumption rate per power was improved by 0.2∼2.3%. These are caused by the fact maximum heat release period and main combustion period are getting short.

A Numerical Study of the Combustion Characteristics in a MILD Combustor with the Change of the Fuel and Air Nozzle Position and Air Mass Flow Rate (연료 및 공기 노즐 위치와 공기 유량 변화에 따른 MILD 연소 특성에 관한 해석적 연구)

  • A numerical analysis of reactive flow in a MILD(Moderate and Intense Low oxygen Dilution) combustor is accomplished to elucidate the characteristics of combustion phenomena in the furnace with the change of fuel and air nozzle position and air mass flow rate. For the case with the fuel nozzle located near center position of combustor, the reaction zone started at the fuel nozzle and had inclined shape toward combustor wall when the air mass flow rate was relatively smaller. On the other hand, the end of reaction zone moved toward center of combustor from combustor wall when the air flow rate was relatively larger. For the case with the air nozzle located near center position of combustor, the reaction zone started at the fuel nozzle and had inclined shape toward combustor wall when the air mass flow rate was relatively small, which was similar as the previous case with smaller air mass flow rate. On the other hand, the end of reaction zone moved toward combustor wall when the air flow rate was relatively larger. The maximum temperature increased as the air mass flow rate increasing for both cases, and the concentration of thermal NOx increased also from the previous reason of temperature characteristics. The concentration of NOx for the case with the air nozzle located near center position of combustor was considerably smaller than that for the case with the fuel nozzle located near center position of combustor. From the present study, the case with the air nozzle located near center position of combustor and theoretical air flow rate was the most effective condition for the NOx reduction and perfect combustion.

The Impacts of Carbon Taxes by Region and Industry in Korea: Focusing on Energy-burning Greenhouse Gas Emissions (탄소세 도입의 지역별 및 산업별 영향 분석: 에너지 연소 온실가스 배출량을 중심으로)

  • This study estimates the regional input-output table and GHG emissions in 2019 and then analyzes the economic effects of carbon taxes by region and industry in Korea. The GHG emission, emission coefficient, and emission induction coefficient are estimated to be higher in manufacturing-oriented metropolitan provinces. The GHG emission coefficient in the same industry varies from region to region, which might reflect the standard of product classification, characteristics of production technology, and the regional differences in input structure. If a carbon tax is imposed, production costs are expected to increase and demand and production will decrease, especially in the manufacturing industry, which emits more GFG. On the other hand, the impact of carbon taxes on each region is not expected to vary significantly from region to region, which might be due to the fact that those differences are mitigated by industry-related effects. Since the impact of carbon taxes is expected to spread to the entire region, close cooperation between local governments is necessary in the process of implementing carbon neutrality in the future.
