평면 연삭 가공시 발생하는 연삭열에 관한 연구 -해석적 모델-

  • The objective of this study is to develop a model for the grinding process for predicting the temperature, thermal stress and thermal deformation. The thermal load during grinding is modeled as uniformly distributed, 2D heat source moving across the surface of elastic half space, which is insulated or subjected to convective cooling. That non-dimensional temperature distribution, non-dimensional longitudinal stress distribution and non-dimensional thermal deformation distribution are calculated with non-dimensional heat source half width and non-dimensional heat transfer coefficient. Finite element models are developed to simulate moving heat source, which is modeled as uniformly or triangularly distributed, the FEM simulation is compared with numerical solution.

페룰 가공용 초정밀 무심 연삭기의 열 특성 해석 (Thermal Characteristic Analysis of a High-Precision Centerless Grinding Machine for Machining Ferrules)

  • To perform the finish grinding process of ferrules which are widely used as fiber optic connectors, a high-precision centerless grinding machine is necessary. The high-precision centerless grinding machine is consisted of the hydrostatic GW and RW spindle systems, hydrostatic RW feeding mechanism, RW swivel mechanism, on-machine GW and RW dressers, and concrete-filled steel bed. In this study, the thermal characteristics of the high-precision centerless grinding machine such as the temperature distribution, temperature rise and thermal deformation, are estimated based on the virtual prototype of the grinding machine and the heat generation rates of heat sources related to the machine operation conditions. The reliability of the predicted results is demonstrated by the temperature characteristics measured from the physical prototype. Especially, the predicted and measured results show the fact that the high-precision centerless grinding machine has very stable thermal characteristics.

  • 유정압베어링은 공기베어링과같은 유막의 평균화 효과를 얻을 수 있어 구성부품의 형상오차보다 우수한 회전정도를 기대 할 수 있으며 상대적으로 높은 강성, 부하용량 및 우수한 감쇠특성을 보유하고 있으면서도 비접촉에 의한 무보수, 반영구적 인 수명등의 장점이 있어 정밀도와 강성이 함께 요구되는 연삭기를 중심으로 공작기계 분야에 활발히 응용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 고정밀도가 요구되는 연삭기용 유정압주축을 시작하고 정특성, 회전특성, 열특성등을 실험적으로 해석함으로서 실용화에 필요한 제변수들의 영향을 정량적으로 얻고자 하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 DEA(Differential Evolution Algorithm)기법을 이용하여 트래버스 연삭의 최적 조건을 선정하기 위한 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 최적 연삭 조건 선정을 위한 가격함수는 가공 경비, 생산율 및 표면 거칠기 등의 다중 함수식을 이용하였다. 또한 연삭 조건에 대한 구속 조건으로 열 손상 효과, 가공 툴의 강성, 연삭 휠 마모 상수 및 표면 거칠기 등을 고려하였다. 알고리즘의 구현은 산업현장에서 널리 사용되는 LabView소프트웨어를 사용하였다. 제안된 알고리즘의 성능은 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 GA알고리즘의 결과와 비교하여 검증하였다.

단속 연삭지석에 의한 스테인레스강의 연삭특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Grinding Characteristics of Stainless Steel Using Intermittent Grinding Wheel)

  • In the grinding of difficult-to-materials, the major problmes of conventional grinding are grinding burn, wheel wear, grinding surface crack, loading and glazing, When a conventioanl grinding wheel is used, wheel wear and grinding surface crack easily occur in low heat conductive material and annealed steel. Intermittent grinding is suitable for diffcult-to-matrical such as stainless steel, titanium alloy, aluminum alloy and copper alloy. The purpose of this paper is to develop a new type intermittent wheel of the grinding system for improving the problem of stainless steel grinding, to observe the effect of intermittent grinding on surface quality and grinding characteristics of stainless steel grinding using intermittent grinding wheel. The characteristics of intermittent grinding system improve surface quality, low grinding temperature and low loading.

다이아몬드 휠에 의한 세라믹 연삭의 연삭력 평가 (Evaluation on Grinding Force of Ceramic Grinding by the Diamond Wheel)

  • In this study, through the experimental results of grinding ratio, grinding force and surface roughness with the obtained wear amount of diamond wheel and ceramic material during the grinding process, the following conclusions could be found. In the case of $Si_3N_4$, the wear of diamond wheel is large while the grinding force is stable and the range of change in surface roughness is small. for the case of $AL_2O_3$ and $ZrO_3$, while the wear of diamond wheel is getting smaller, the grinding force is increasing but the value of surface roughness is decreasing. For grinding with the vitrified bond wheel, it seems that the self-sharpening can be found for $Si_3N_4$ and the glazing effect of the cutting edge for $AL_2O_3$ and $ZrO_3$.

냉각 공기장치에 의한 환경 친화 연삭 연구 (A Study on Environment- Friendly Grinding by Using Cold Air)

  • In this study, the experimental and analytic investigation with cold air system has been performed for improving the working environment of the conventional grinding fluid. Very simple cold air system was developed which could replace by the conventional grinding fluid system. The identification of heat of grinding Bone is very important for precision grinding. The experimental data was analysed to investigate the heat which was transferred to the workpiece. It was found that 45∼55% of the total energy for dry grinding, 22∼28% for wet grinding, and 32∼35% for cold air system are conducted to the workpiece in grinding with cubic boron nitride wheel. Cubic boron nitride wheel could reduce the residual stress and thermal demage comparing with aluminium oxide wheel, because cubic boron nitride wheel has very high extreme thermal conductivity.
