  • The amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions has been increasing steadily over the last 3 years (2009~2011), averaging 5.7 percent a year, due to the growth of low cost carriers and the increased demand for air transportations. The present study attempts to investigate the aviation fuel consumption and GHG emissions of Tier 3a type by the flight phase from three aircraft type such as B737-600(routes between Gimpo-Jeju airport), B737-700(routes between Gimpo-Jeju airport and Inchon-Narita), B737-800(routes between Inchon-Narita) using the Flight Operation Quality Assurance(FOQA) data of the year 2011.

  • Increasing emissions regulations and demand of high-efficiency cars that travels a lot of distance with less fuel, there is growing interest in Energy Consumption Efficiency. Korean energy consumption efficiency compute combined Fuel Economy by driven city & highway driving mode and present final Energy Consumption Efficiency as using 5-cycle correction formula. Energy consumption efficiency is computed Carbon-balance-method, when used burning fuel play a key role in vehicle performance & Energy Consumption Efficiency. In Korea, vehicle fuel is circulate by Petroleum and Petroleum Alternative Business Act, there is property difference in quality standard because petroleum sector's refine method or type of crude oil. It does not appear a big difference according to fuel, because it sets steady quality standard, it may affect the performance of automobile. Thus, in research We purchase a few diesel fuel which circulated in the market in summer season though directly-managed-gas station by petroleum sector, resolve property each of fuel, we compute Fuel Economy each of them. We analyze into change depend on applying for property as nowadays utilizing Energy Consumption Efficiency calculating formula of gasoline and diesel fuel. As result, Density each of sample fuel has a maximum difference roughly 0.9%, net heat value each of sample fuel has difference 1.6%, result of current Energy Consumption Efficiency each of sample fuel has a difference roughly 1% at city drive mode, 1.4% at highway drive mode. Result of use gasoline calculator formula shows less 6% result than nowadays utilizing Energy Consumption Efficiency calculating formula, each of sample's Energy Consumption Efficiency shows maximum roughly 1.4% result in city & highway drive mode.

  • In the present study, fuel system matching was analyzed, and a characteristic chart for common use for design-related parts is presented. Based on the characteristic chart thus presented, controlled fuel system matching was tested for a 35-liter fuel system, and actual mass product movement coils were applied to validate the test. The keynote of the present research is the use of the characteristic chart to devise a preferred fuel system matching method. Through the present study, it will be possible to design standard parts for efficient fuel system matching in the near future.

  • This study proposes a statistical procedure for analyzing container ship operation data that can help determine fuel consumption patterns. We first investigate the features that affect fuel consumption and develop the prediction model to find current fuel consumption. The ship data can be divided into two-type data. One set of operation data includes sea route, voyage information, longitudinal water speed, longitudinal ground speed, and wind, the other includes machinery data such as engine power, rpm, fuel consumption, temperature, and pressure. In this study, we separate the effects of external force on ships according to Beaufort Scale and apply a partial least squares regression to develop a prediction model.

Early Fuel Evaporator Effects on Cold Driveability of Automobile (조기연료 기화장치의 냉간 시동 및 주행 성능 분석)

  • The object of this paper is to investigate the effects of early fuel evaporators on cold driveability of gasoline passenger cars. Experiment has been carried out for the assessment cold start performance and cold driveability. And fuel consumption rate, emission and cylinder pressure were measured. On the base of combustion pressure of cylinder, rate of heat release, cumulative heat release amount and burned mass fraction are evaluated. The results show that fuel consumption rate is increased by 17.7%, monoxide and hydrocarbon were reduced by 23% and by 45% respectively, fluctuations of indicated mean effective pressure and maximum combustion pressure were increased by 4∼6%, fuel consumption rate per power was improved by 0.2∼2.3%. These are caused by the fact maximum heat release period and main combustion period are getting short.

  • Recent global warming has been recognized as the world economy development from fossil fuel use is the culprit. This study was reduce the fossil fuel has been developed in a number of alternative energy, As a fuel that can be produced in our country is a biofuel. Biofuels is a sustainable fuel having economically benefits and decreasing environmental pollution problems caused due to fossil fuel. A lot of research is progressing about the conversion of diesel biofuel as renewable clean energy. In this experiment were remodel the institution that has been used in fishing engine again produced an experimental apparatus were installed directly, were studied using various bio fuel like to help the economically and environmentally sound operation of the vessel. rapeseed oil, soybean oil, comprehensively analyzing the results the effects of the exhaust emission characteristics of the waste rapeseed oil is available in a marine engine with similar physical and chemical components of the fuel, and the fuel consumption ratio, NOx is slightly increased, but soot was confirmed a tendency to decrease much.

수소경제 국가비전 및 실행계획의 수립 연구

  • 수소경제는 이제 선택사항이 아니라 피할 수 없는 미래로 우리에게 다가오고 있다. 본 연구에서는 2040년을 수소경제 실현의 원년으로 삼고 2040년까지 최종에너지소비의 15%를 수소로 충당하는 공급목표를 설정하였다. 수소이용효율이 가장 높은 수송부문을 주요 대상으로 2040년까지 자동차의 50% 이상을 연료전지 자동차로 대체하고, 기타 가정상업 및 발전부문에서도 20-30%를 연료전지로 대체하는 계획을 세웠다. 이러한 수소경제가 계획대로 달성되는 경우, 우리나라는 2040년에 가서 에너지소비가 8%정도 줄고, 에너지믹스도 개선되어 화석에너지의 획기적 감소(석유의 경우 탄소경제 대비 23% 감소)와 신 재생에너지의 비약(탄소경제 대비 47% 증가)이 두드러진다. 이에 따라 온실가스의 대폭적 저감 (20%)과 에너지자급도의 대폭적 개선 (23%)이 기대된다. 수소경제의 달성을 위해서는 정부가 앞장서서 관련법의 제정과 전담기구의 신설 등 수소경제에 대비한 안정적 추진체제 및 관련 법제도의 정비를 서둘러야 할 것이다. 이와 함께 연료전지보급 및 수소공급 인프라 구축에 필요한 방대한 투자재원을 확보하기 위해서 민간부문의 투자를 촉진시키고 민간의 전문기술인력 양성과 더불어 연료전지 및 수소인프라 산업육성을 위한 규격 및 표준의 마련도 시급하다.

  • Fuel consumption measurement of Hydrogen fuel cell vehicle is considerably different form internal combustion engine vehicle such as carbon balance method. A practical method of fuel Consumption measurement has been developed for Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. There are three method of hydrogen fuel consumption testing, gravimetric, PVT(Pressure, Volume and temperature), and Coriolis mass flow, all of which necessitate physical measurements of the fuel supply. The purpose of this research is to measure the fuel consumption of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles on chassis-dynamometer and to give information when the research is intended to develop method to measure hydrogen fuel consumption.

연료용 알콜 국내 보급정책 연구

  • 우리나라 에너지소비구조는 높은 화석연료 의존성, 에너지 다소비형 산업구조, 열악한 에너지소비효율성 등 구조적 취약성을 지니고 있다. 특히 국내 총 에너지 수요의 60 % 이상을 차지하는 석유는 전량 해외수입에 의존하고 있어 향후 석유위기 상황 재연시 국가 전체 산업활동을 위축시킬 수 있는 가능성을 내포하고 있다. 정부에서는 국내외 사회/경제적 환경변화에 부응하고 국가경제의 지속적 발전을 위해 에너지 및 자원개발전략 내용을 포함한 신경제 5 개년계획을 수립한 바 있으며, 신재생에너지 개발기술의 조기 실용화 및 보급확대를 위하여 연료용알콜 생산 기술개발을 중점추진하고 있다. 특히 최근 지구온난화 문제와 관련하여 국가간 탄소배출규제협약 (Green Round)의 발효가 예견되는 상황에서 청정/재생에너지로서 연료용알콜 이용에 대한 중요성이 새로이 부각되고 있다.

  • 국민소득이 빠르게 증가함에 따라 1990년대 이후 가정용 난방연료의 소비구조 역시 크게 변화하고 있다. 본 연구는 에너지 및 교통수요분석에 많이 사용되는 Multinomial Probit 모형을 이용하여 가정용 난방연료의 선택 행태를 분석하였다. 모형의 추정방법으로는 베이지안(Baysian) 방법론에 의한 Gibbs Sampling기법 (McColluch et al., 2000)을 이용하여 Multinomial probit 모형에서 선택대안이 3개 이상일 경우 발생할 수 있는 추정상의 어려움을 극복하였다. 한국가구패널조사(KHPS) 자료를 이용하여 서울과 경기도 대도시 지역을 대상으로 분석한 결과, 석유와 천연가스가 연탄에 비해 더 밀접한 상호 대체관계를 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 소득이 높은 가구일수록 천연가스에 대한 선호도가 더 높은 것으로 나타나서 향후 공급망 확대에 따라 난방연료용 가스 소비가 더욱 늘어날 것으로 예상된다.
