According to the importance of greenhouse gas emissions, it grows day by day, the goverment is promoting to prepare the specific policy implementation to enhance building energy-saving design standars as the development agenda. In this study, the statistical analysis was performed by Descriptive statistics, Regression analysis, and Hypothesis testing to collect to generate and storage energy usage data in real time to settle parameter setting to affect energy consumption under energy-guzzling apartment not single building. This study is expected to be utilized as the basis for the optimum energy-saving design of the future of the building or facility energy costs rise and the demand for energy-efficient and stable management.
This study was carried out to derive the most optimal production process for the wood fuels(chip and pellet), by collecting cost data on each procedure through the life cycle assessment approach, and to compare between the profitability and efficiency, from the view points of producers and consumers, irrespectively. The costs accounted in this analysis were based on the opportunity cost. The results show that wood chips are cheaper than wood pellets in production costs. In respect to the process with the lowest production cost, while wood chips should be to crush collected residues into pieces on the spot for merchandizing, wood pellets need to be transported to manufactory for pelletizing. The study findings also include that the profits, which is estimated by subtracting expenses from gained sale revenue, were a bit higher for wood chips than wood pellets. Additionally, the price ratio of wood pellets to wood chips for getting the same caloric value appears to be 1.27. Despite of economic benefits of processing wood chips, there are several problems in practice. For producers, there is a possible increase in not only transportation cost for conveying crushers to the dispersed places, but storage cost due to the lack of the marketplaces in the immediate surroundings. For consumers, on the other hand, there are some challenging issues, such as bulky storage facility requirement, additional labor for fuel supplement, frequent ashes disposal, and decomposition in summer and freezing in winter caused by wood chips' own moisture.

The thermodynamic characteristics of a combined cycle applied with a topping cycle such as a trilateral cycle at relatively high temperatures and a bottoming cycle such as an organic Rankine cycle at relatively low temperatures have been theoretically investigated. This is an electric generation system used to recover the waste heat of the exhaust gas from a diesel engine used for the propulsion of a large ship. As a result, when the boundary temperature between the topping and the bottoming cycles increased, the system efficiencies of energy and exergy were simultaneously maximized because the total exergy destruction rate (${\sum}\dot{E}_d$) and exergy loss ($\dot{E}_{out2}$) decreased, respectively. In the case of a marine diesel engine, the waste heat recovery electric generation system can be utilized for additional propulsion power, and the propulsion efficiency was found to be improved by an average of 9.17 % according to the engine load variation, as compared to the case with only the base engine. In this case, the specific fuel consumption and specific $CO_2$ emission of the diesel engine were reduced by an average of 8.4% and 8.37%, respectively.

The situation requires a global alternative energy resources due to the lack of rapid consumption of fossil fuel and nuclear fuel that occurs in nature. There are a number of alternative energy research and development in the world today. Of which there is an existing wind power generation system has been developed into a large-scale systematic trend of small wind power systems have created a wind power generation system using a simple principle. Existing small wind turbine system is a situation that is in many places a deterioration odor problems and maintenance of power generation efficiency because it came to be developed systematically. In this paper, we developed a hybrid power system that can develop the solar energy at the same time as the increase in the small wind power generation efficiency and the system to develop that can efficiently maintain the hybrid power generation system through the network.

The improvement of energy recovery is mandatory to decrease consumption of fossil fuels and to minimize negative impacts on the environment which originates from large cooling and heating demand. The absorption heat pump technology has a large potential for energy saving in this respect. Absorption heat pump is a means to upgrade waste heat without addition of extra thermal energy. In this study, resorption heat pump for energy recovery has been investigated using methanol-glycerine. The simulated calculation of theoretical thermal efficiency was performed based on the thermodynamic properties of the working fluid over various operating conditions. The thermal efficiency of higher than 0.4 was obtained by raising industrial waste heat, $70{\sim}80^{\circ}C$, by $40^{\circ}C$ in this system.
This paper analyzed transition pathways toward a low carbon society in Korea to meet global $2^{\circ}C$ climate target. Lower economic growth, industrial structure change, enhance of energy demand management, decarbonization of power sector, and replacement of low carbon fuel could reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emission from fuel combustion in 2050 by 67% against in 2011, or by 74% against in BAU (Business-As-Usual). Lower economic growth contributes to 13% of cumulative emission reduction relative to BAU, industrial structure change 9%, enhance of energy demand management 72%, decarbonization of power sector 5% and replacement of low carbon fuel 1% respectively. Final energy consumption in 2050 needs to be reduced to 50% relative to 2011, or to 41% relative to BAU. Nuclear, coal and renewable energy represent 31%, 40%, 2% respectively among electricity generation in 2011, but 38%, 2%, 32% in 2050. CCS represents 23% of total generation in 2050. Emission intensity of electricity in 2050 was decreased to 19% relative to 2011, or to 24% relative to BAU. Primary energy in 2050 was decreased to 64% compared to 2011, or to 44% compared to BAU. Final energy consumption, primary energy supply and GHG emission from fuel combustion from 1990 to 2011 increased by 176%, 197%, 146%. Radical change from historical trend is required to transit toward a low carbon society by 2050. Appropriate economic growth, structural change to non-energy intensive industries, energy technology research, development and deployment (RD&D) in terms of enhancement of energy efficiency and low carbon energy supply technologies, and fuel change to electricity and renewable energy are key instruments.
This study was conducted to obtain basic data for the design of cooling system by the test of engine performance of the power tiller being used widely in the rural area. Among the various factors affecting engine performance, the flow rate of cooling water was considered as the major factor in this study. Motoring loss, output, fuel consumption ratio, torque, heat absorption of cooling water, and thermal efficiency were measured and analyzed based on three flow rates of cooling water such as 15, 20, and $25{\ell}/min$. The results obtained were as follows : 1. Motoring loss of the engine was 1.371 kW at 2,200 rpm., and mechanical efficiency was 79.1% at rated output level. 2. Output power of the engine increased with the flow rate of cooling water increased. 3. BSFC was 282.9g/kW-h at the flow rate of $20{\ell}/min$, and the temperature of cooling water at outlet was $80.9^{\circ}C$. 4. There was a little variation of torque of the engine depending on the flow rate of cooling water. 5. Absorption of heat by cooling water was increased with the increase of flow rate. 6. The highest thermal efficiency of 32.3% at the flow rate of $20{\ell}/min$ was observed.

High thermal efficiency and the ability to use various types of fuel are a few of the many advantages of diesel engines. However, a major disadvantage is that their exhaust emissions are more harmful to humans and the environment than that of conventional engine. Consequently, the provisions of the international emissions standards for diesel engine equipped passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and ships have become more stringent. These standards include the EU Euro 6, the IMO MEPC Tier 3, and the US EPA Tier 4. Ryu et al. published a study that applied fuel additives to two-stroke diesel engines. In this study, a four-stroke diesel engine using diesel oil for a generator is utilized as the test subject, and an experiment is performed to verify whether fuel additive can be used to improve performance and exhaust emissions. In addition, this experimental study presents research results for the application of fuel additives in both two-stroke and four-stroke diesel engines. The experimental results were compared and analyzed by placing an oil-soluble calcium-based organometallic compound in diesel oil. The results confirmed that the addition of fuel additive improved the performance (fuel consumption rate, exhaust gas temperature) and exhaust emissions (NOx, CO) of the diesel engine.

The fuel cell generation convert fuel source, and gas directly to electricity in an electro-chemical process. Unlike traditional and conventional turbine engines, the process of fuel cell generation do not burn the fuel and run pistons or shafts, and it has not revolutionary machine, so have fewer efficiency losses, low emissions and no noisy moving parts. A high power density allows fuel cells to be relatively compact source of electric power, beneficial in application with space constraints. In this system, the fuel cell itself is nearly small-sized by other components of the system such as the fuel reformer and power inverter. So, the fuel cell energy's stationary fuel cells produce reliable electrical power for commercial and industrial companies as well as utilities. In this paper, a fuel cell system has been modeled using PSCAD/EMTDC to analyze its electric signals and characteristics. Also the power quality of the fuel cell system has been evaluated and the problems which can be occurred during its operation have been studied by modeling it more detailed. Particularly, we have placed great importance on its power quality and signal characteristics when it is connected with a power grid.
