Seasonal Occurrence and Age Structure of Paromius exiguus (Distant) (Heteroptera: Lygaeidae) on Major Host Plants (흑다리긴노린재[Paromius exiguus (Distant)](Heteroptera: Lygaeidae)의 발생소장과 주요 기주에서 시기별 연령분포)

  • Paromius exiguus (Distant) has caused serious damage by pecky grains around Gimpo paddy fields in 2001. We conducted field and laboratory studies to determine the seasonal occurrence and age distribution of P. exiguus on the three major host plants. The overwintering P. exiguus was found mainly on the basal part of gramineae weeds in various localities. After overwintering, in mid-May, the adults aggregated on the grain parts of Imperata cylindrica, laid their eggs and nymphs developed into adults on the same host plants. By the time, the Calamagrostis epigeios colony had newly occupied I. cylindrica areas, the nymphs and adults of first generation had already moved to the second host. The second generation of P. exiguus, after having completed its life cycle on C. epigeios, the newly emerged adults migrated to the rice plants and other gramineae weeds in early August. Afterwards, they complete its third generation cycle where they can move to the overwintering site again. P. exiguus has the five nymphal stages and each nymphal stage could be determined by head or prothoracic width. On the I. cylindrica and O. sativa hosts, the age distribution of P. exiguus showed a simple structure as each stage ratio increased stepwise with time. But in case of C. epigeios, as the newly emerged adults and immature nymphs continuously migrate after a month from the I. cylindrica, the age structure became remarkably complex. The peak nymphal density was observed when the ratio of third and forth instar was the highest in the population. The finding about the specific age structure on each generation of the insect would be very useful in control decision making on the major host plants. It is also important to consider the host's specificity to pesticide sensitivity in relation to various nymphal stages.

  • March-June 2010 I hospitals and N of 22 patients in the hospital by DXA and QCT BMD measured at the same object were compared, statistical methods SPSS for Windows program (version 12.0) using the frequency analysis and t-test with a bone age, height, weight, the correlation analysis results were as follows. The distribution of study subjects 19 cases were male and 3 female patients, total 22 patients, 37 years of age ranged from 28 years of age. The mean age of 32.14 years old, and their average height is 170.59 cm, with the average weight was 69.41 kg. In addition to DXA and QCT of how the L2-L4 BMD in level average correlation coefficient was 0.378 with a significant quantitative correlation. Analysis by age rather than the QCT method to DXA showed that 10.8% more valuable, than height level analysis to DXA, QCT method showed 3.4 percent more useful, weight level analysis to DXA is more useful than the 1.2% QCT method was. More results from this study to measure bone density in the DXA method is useful in the age and height and weight by some in the QCT method proved to be useful. Therefore, bone mineral density in patients' age, height, weight, depending on the selection of accurate measurement is considered to be considered.

세종 산개성단 탐사관측 (SOS) II. 중년 산개성단 NGC 2353의 UBVI CCD 측광

  • 세종 산개성단 탐사관측 연구의 일환으로 중년 산개성단 NGC 2353에 대한 UBVI CCD 측광을 수행하였다. 측광학적인 방법으로 성단 내의 구성원을 선정하였으며, 이로부터 이 성단의 성간소광과 거리를 각각 E(B-V)=$0.10\pm0.02mag$$d=1.17\pm0.04\;kpc$으로 얻었다. 성단 구성원의 공간적인 분포를 통해서 성단의 형태가 북서 방향에서 남동 방향을 잇는 축을 중심으로 타원의 형태를 띠고 있는 것을 발견하였다. Padova 그룹이 제시한 이론적인 등연령 곡선을 관측한 색등급도에 맞춤으로써 이 성단의 나이를 1억 3천만년으로 추정하였으며, 이는 기존 연구보다 나이가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 구성원의 거리지수 분포에서 이 성단의 거리지수보다 밝은 곳에 나타나는 쌍성의 분포를 Gaussian 분포와 맞추어 $46\pm4%$ 정도의 최소 쌍성비율을 추정하였다. 마지막으로 광도함수와 질량함수를 유도하였고, 질량함수의 기울기는 $\Gamma=-1.4\pm0.2$를 얻었다.

  • 에이즈와 같은 치명적인 질환에 대한 추계수치는 논란의 여지가 상당히 많다. 그러므로 유엔에이즈와 세계보건기구는 각 국가의 역학자와 국제적인 전문가에 의하여 추계치가 각 나라에서 정치적인 영향이나 다른 요소에 영향을 받지 않고 발표될 수 있도록 최대한의 노력을 기울이고 있다. 유엔에이즈와 세계보건기구가 에이즈 추계치를 산정하고, 성별, 연령별, 지역별 분포를 조사하고 발표하는 이유는 각 지역마다 에이즈에 대한 대응을 적절히 하도록 도와주기 위해서이다.

Types and Distribution of Implant Dental Clinic Patients in Busan Area (부산지역 치과환자의 임플란트 유형 및 분포 경향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the types of implant, the type of bone graft, periodontal status and the distribution of implant among patients in a region. The subjects in this study were 299 patients who received implant treatment Busan area. The number of their implants was 871 in total. The findings of the study were as follows: As for the type of implant, home-made implants accounted for 83.6 percent, and imported ones represented 16.4 percent. Regarding bone graft, The presence or absence of disease made a significant difference to that($x^2$=14.66, p<.01). As to periodontal status by gender, age and disease, the periodontal state was better among those who were female(y=-2.73, p<.01), who were younger(F=14.20, p<.001) and who had no disease(t=-4.67, p<.001). The intergroup gaps were statistically significant. Concerning the distribution of implant, The distribution of implant was statistically significantly different($x^2$=33.14, p<.01). Age made a statistically significant difference to that($x^2$=74.09, p<.001). As to links between periodontal status and the number of implant, The intergroup gaps were statistically significant($x^2$=38.28, p<.01).

A Study on Current Situations of Patients with Health Insurance at the Dental Center of Local Health Centers in Rural Areas (비도시지역 건강보험환자의 보건소 치과 의료서비스 이용실태에 관한 조사연구)

  • This study was conducted to compare and analyze 877 cases of health insurance claims from the first half of 1999 requested to the dental centers of local health centers in rural areas and 510 identical cases from the first half of 2003. It was purposed to understand the trend of rural residents' visits to local health centers and to use the collected data as the basis needed for the vitalization of local dental cares to efficiently improve Korean citizens' dental hygiene. The results were shown as below: 1. The sexes of the visitors were fairly evenly distributed for each year. 2. Among the total of 39 types of diseases treated, 1999 had 31.9% of visits for 'Gingivitis and periodontal diseases' with 25.4% from ages between 10 and 19, for statistically attentive results. On the other hand, 2003 had 46.5% of visits for 'Oral examination' with 52.9% from ages between 0 and 9, for statistically attentive results. 3. For the distribution of age groups, majority in 1999 made visits for dental caries, gingivitis and periodontal disease, whereas majority in 2003 were for oral examination, dental caries, gingivitis and periodontal disease.

Deposional Age of the Bangnim Group, Pyeongchang, Korea Constrained by SHRIMP U-Pb Age of the Detrital Zircons (쇄설성 저어콘의 SHRIMP U-Pb 연령으로 한정한 평창지역 방림층군의 퇴적시기)

  • We determined SHRIMP U-Pb ages of the detrital zircons separated from the Bangnim Group of the Pyeongchang area to constrain its depositional age. As the result, the minimum age group yielded $^{206}Pb/^{238}U$ age of $450.3{\pm}4.2Ma$ (n=3), suggesting depositional age younger than Late Ordovician. Therefore, the Bangnim Group cannot be a Precambrian sedimentary formation but is younger than Myobong Formation of the Early Paleozoic Joseon Supergroup of the Taebaeksan basin. Such a depositional age implies that the Bangnim Group and structurally overlying Jangsan Quartzite should be in fault contact, suggesting that the Jangsan Quartzite, Myobong Formation and Pungchon Limestone thrusted over the Bangnim Group. The zircon U-Pb age distribution pattern of the Bangnim Group resembles those of the Early Paleozoic Myobong and Sambangsan Formations of the Taebaeksan basin and seemingly Middle Paleozoic Daehyangsan Quartzite and the Taean Formation. However, detrital zircon U-Pb age patterns of the Late Paleozoic Pyeongan Supergroup are quite distinct from them, suggesting drastic change in provenance of the detrital zircon supply. Therefore, we suggest that the Bangnim Group was deposited before the Pyeongan Supergroup.

Geochronology and Cooling history of the Mesozoic Granite Plutons in the Central Part of the Ogcheon Fold Belt, South Korea (남한 습곡대 중앙부의 중생대 화강암 질암의 생선년대와 냉각사)

  • Emplacement ages for the granite plutons of the Jurassic and the Cretaceous times in the central Ogcheom Fold Belt were determined by Rb-Sr whole rock and mineral isocheon methods. In addition mineral ages for the plutons were determined by K-Ar and fission track methods. In turn, thermal histories and uplifting rates of the granitic bodies are elucidated from the isotopic ages. The Jecheon(~203 Ma) and Mungyeong(at lest~200 Ma) granites of the Jurassic and the Muamsa, Wolagsan and Daeyasan granites(~110 Ma) of the Cretaceous show high strontium initial ratios [$(^{87}Sr/^{86}Sr)_1$0.7100],suggesting that the granitic magmas have been generated by partial melting of crustal materials (S-type), or by mixing of mantle and crustal materials. Only mineral ages of the Sogrisan and Hyeongjebong granites (~90 Ma) were determined by K-Ar method, and petrogenesis of them were not defined yet. The two Jurassic granite plutons were cooled rapidly down to $300^{\circ}C$, right after the plutons were slowly cooled down since then, due to their deep emplacment. During the Middle Cretaceous period, the Jurassic Mungyeong granitic pluton was intruded and thermally affected much by the surrounding Wolagsan and Daeyasan granites. Accordingly the Rb-Sr mineral age, K-Ar hornblende and biotite ages of the Mungyeong granite appear to be reduced or reset due to the thermal effects above their blocking temperatures. All the cretaceous granites have been cooled much ore simply and rapidly down than the Jurassic ones below $300^{\circ}C$, owing to their shallow emplacement.
