A study on the adaptive method of control model for tandem cold rolling mill (연속냉간압연기 제어모델의 적응수정방법에 관한 연구)

  • The control model in the tandem cold rolling mill consists of many mathematical theories and is used to calculate the reference values such as the roll gap and the rolling speed for good operation of rolling mill. But, the control model used presently has a problem causing inaccurate prediction of the rolling force. By the parameter identification, it was found that the main factor causing inaccurate prediction of the rolling force was incorrect modeling of the friction coefficient and the flow stress. To get rid of the erroneous factor new adaptive schemes are suggested in this work. Those are a long-time adaptation by the iterative least-square method and a short-time adaptation by the recursive weighted least-square method respectively. The new equations for the friction coefficient and the flow stress are derived by applying the suggested adaptive algorithms. Through the on-line test in an actual mill, it is proved that the rolling force predicted by the new equations is more accurate than the one by the existing equations ever used.

A study on the effective fire and smoke control in transverse oversized exhaust ventilation (횡류식 선택대배기환기에서의 배연특성에 관한 연구)

  • The smoke control system plays the most important role in securing evacuation environment when a fire occurs in road tunnels. Smoke control methods in road tunnels are classified into two categories which are longitudinal ventilation system and transverse ventilation system. In this study it is intended to review the characteristics of smoke behavior by performing numerical analysis for calculating the optimal smoke exhaust air volume with scaled-model and simulation when a fire occurs in tunnels in which transverse ventilation is applied, and for obtaining the basic data required for the design of smoke exhaust systems by deriving optimal smoke exhaust operational conditions for various conditions. As a result of this study, when the critical velocity in the tunnel is 1.75 m/s and 2.5 m/s, the optimal smoke exhaust air volume has to be more than $173m^3/s$, $236m^3/s$ for the distance of the smoke moving which can limit the distance to 250 m. In addition, in case of uniform exhaust the generated smoke is effectively taken away if the two exhaust holes near the fire region are opened at the same time.

A Study on Ventilation Effects on Smoke Behavior in Rescue Station for Tunnel Fires (철도터널 화재시 구난역 내의 연기거동에 미치는 배연효과에 관한 연구)

  • The present study investigates the ventilation effects on smoke spreading with the rescue stations. Experiments for tunnel fires were carried out for n-heptane pool em at different fire locations, and the heat release rates (HRR) were obtained by addition, using the commercial code (FLUENT), the present article presents numerical results for smoke behavior in railway tunnels with rescue station, and it uses the MVHS (Modified Volumetric Heat Source) model for estimation of combustion products resulting from the fire source determined from the HRR measurement. As a result, it is found that smoke propagation is prevented successfully by the fire doors located inside the cross-passages and especially, the smoke behavior in the accident tunnel can be controlled through the ventilation system because of substantial change in smoke flow direction in the cross-passages.

  • As building becomes larger, taller and more complex due to industrialization and urbanization, it tends to be vulnerable to fire and establishment of effective measures for fire safety is demanded. Especially the fact that the smoke hinders evacuation and fire-fighting activities as well as becomes the major cause of life casualty emphasizes the importance of smoke control system. To design and operate the smoke control system success folly, it is necessary to analyze and predict precisely the thermoflow induced by fire in building. The unsteady three-dimensional analysis of thermoflow induced by fire with diverse variables such as building structure, fire conditions and smoke control facilities can be effectively carried out with numerical method In this study, using the FDS(Fire Dynamics Simulation) program that spreads widely as the analysis tool for thermoflow of fire, the analysis of thermoflow in partition of building induced by fire and comparison with the experimental results for assessment of numerical analysis are presented.

  • This study is aimed to develop fundamental technology on the smoke control method by simulation model and scale model simulation technique in pressure differential systems. Thereby, this research aimed to establish design elements and technologies required for smoke control system that is suitable to pressure differential systems of the high-rise buildings in order to minimize the loss of lives and property damage in case of fire.

  • 국내에서는 고층 건축물의 화재시 피난계단으로의 연기침투를 방지하여 안전한 피난경로를 확보하기 위하여 피난계단의 부속실에 외기를 급기함으로써 부속실을 단독으로 제연하는 급기가압 제연시스템을 주로 사용하고 있다. 그러나 실제 건축물에 설치되어 운영되고 있는 급기가압 제연시스템에 대한 현장 성능평가의 결과를 검토해보면 상당수의 건축물에서 급기가압 제연시스템이 소기의 운전성능을 발휘하지 못하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 즉, 제연구역인 부속실과 옥내간의 차압이 기준치 이상의 과압으로 형성되거나 또는 반대로 기준치 이하의 저압으로 유지되는 경우가 있다. 특히 피난에 따라 부속실의 출입문이 개방되면, 출입문이 열린 층 이외의 층에서 개방 전에 적정한 수준으로 유지되고 있던 차압이 크게 하강하는 것을 알 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 급기가압 제연시스템의 문제점과 이에 대한 개선방향을 검토하였다.

  • 최근에는 피난안전측면에서 피난용 엘리베이터를 활용하기 위한 연구가 증대되고, 국가R&D사업이 추진되는 등 많은 관련연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 배경에 입각하여, 국내외의 연구동향을 살펴보고 국내의 법제화에 발맞추어 문제점 해결을 위한 연구필요성 도출을 목적으로 하였다. 연구동향 분석결과 국외의 경우 미국 NIST 및 일본건축학회 등 화재를 연구하는 기관을 중심으로 대응방안을 구축하고 있으며, 국내는 현재 거주자 피난행동과 연기제어 측면에서의 연구가 이루어지고 있었다. 하지만 엘리베이터 설비적인 측면에서의 기술향상도모는 미흡한 실정이다.

  • In Korea, smoke control measures through NFSC 501 are proposed to reduce human casualties caused by smoke in the event of a fire. However, as a result of investigating and analyzing domestic and foreign standards, it was found that domestic regulations do not set fire source, but simply set smoke emissions by floor area or height of smoke boundary. Foreign regulations set fire source. Therefore, it is judged that it is necessary to review whether the current domestic regulations can be applied in the event of an actual building fire. So, this paper aims to identify the differences in domestic and foreign standards through investigation and analysis of related standards for fire zone smoke control system in each country and use them as basic data to improve the performance of zone smoke control system.

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the visibility of plume at the Y power plant stack, which fires the orimulsion as a fuel. The plume contains numerous primary particles under $1\;{\mu}m$ size and inorganic ions possibly inferred by the chemicals of secondary aerosol formation. We evaluated the visibility of the plume using the modified PLUVUE-II model. The monitoring data on the particle size distribution (PSD) and secondary aerosols of sulfate were applied to estimate and evaluate the main factors of plume opacity. The chemical reactions were applied to the model for the secondary aerosol formation of $(NH_4)_2SO_4(s)$. The maximum plume length was estimated by an optic method using threshold contrast. The results showed that the plume length was strongly dependent upon the PSD and $(NH_4)_2SO_4(s)$ concentration of the plume emitted from the stack.

가상 인물의 동작 제어

  • 가상 인물은 컴퓨터에 의해 합성된 가상적인 연기자로 최근 많은 영상물에 사용되어 대중에게 큰 호응을 얻고 있고 점차 그 활용 범위가 확대될 전망이다. 가상인물의 동작은 가상 인물의 사실성을 좌우하기 때문에 자연스러운 동작을 보다 적은 노력으로 빠르게 만들기 위해 다양한 방법들이 연구되었다. 가상 인물의 동작의 기본이 되는 자세를 제어하기 위해 다관절체와 인체변형 기법들이 제안되었다. 키프레임 보간법은 소수의 자세로 동작을 생성하고 역운동학을 이용하여 편리하게 동작을 제어할 수 있지만 사용자의 많은 노력과 시간을 요구한다. 대안으로 제시된 동력학 기반 동작 생성은 자연스러운 동작을 자동으로 생성할 수 있는 반면 사용자의 제어가 어렵다. 최근에 각광 받고 있는 연기 기반 방법은 실제 연기자의 동작을 가상 인물에 대입하여 빠르고 자연스러운 동작 생성을 가능하게 한다. 생성된 동작은 동작 혼합이나 전이의 방법으로 재 사용된다. 가상 인물 스스로가 충돌을 검사하여 충돌을 피할 수 있는 경로를 계획하여 동작을 생성하게 하는 연구, 더 나아가서 가상 인물이 주변 상황을 파악하고 능동적으로 대처할 수 있게 하는 연구를 통해 가상 인물은 보다 실제 인간에 가까운 모습으로 발전하고 있다.
