At present we have access to a plethora of university journals. The purpose of this study is to estimate the use of these university Journals in research fields by focussing on the level of usage in each discipline in addition to the level of usage of each university journal in linguistics. The results indicate the level of academic use of each Journal in lingustics as well as of usage levels between disciplines. From these results, the follow-up measure is requested for differentiation and specialization of university journals.

문화관광부는 최근 ‘한국 출판의 수출 활성화 방안연구’라는 논문집을 발간했다. 한국출판연구소에 의뢰해 발간된 이 논문집에서는 출판무역 현황과 한국출판의 위상, 주요국의 출판수출 현황과 시사점, 한국출판의 수출실태와 문제점, 수출활성화를 위한 관련업계의 과제, 출판수출 활성화를 위한 정부의 정책 방향 등을 수록하고 있다. 다음은 ‘출판수출의 의의’부분을 발췌한 내용이다.

This paper summarizes on the state-of-the-art research on the reinforced concrete (RC) walls for evaluating and predicting the performance of RC walls analytically and experimentally. A brief discussion of the research trends is presented to propose the further research direction of RC walls. In the paper, 102 papers published on the ACI, Engineering Structure, KCI journal, and AIK journal are collected and reviewed.

이 글은 1970년 11월 7일 이화여자대학교 도서관에서 개최된 ‘한국도서관학회 제1회 학술발표회’에서 발표된 필자의 발표논문 요지이다. 이 논문은 원래 ‘표의 구조론에 입각한 우리 나라 저자기호법의 연구’와 ‘저자기호법에 있어서 한글의 기호삼기 문제에 대하여-기호법의 요건과 Syllabic Notation의 원리에 입각한 고찰-’과 ‘동서저자 기호표(제2판, 개정판)의 구성원리와 사용원칙’이란 제목으로 되어 있는 세편의 독립된 논문인데 동학회 학술발표회를 위하여 Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,으로 요약하여 발효한 것이다. 이 논문들의 지상발표는 Ⅰ은 한국도서관학회지 제1집에, Ⅱ는 연세학교 Ⅱ‘인문과학’ 제24집(1970년 12월)에, Ⅲ은 본 기관지에 각각 실릴 예정이다.

This paper provides a review of the historical development story of the NCTM 1989 Standards based on perspective of history of U. S. mathematics education and research in the 1970s and 1980s. In contrast to other nations, the U. S. has always favored local over national control of education. But by 1983, mounting evidence of failures of U. S. education moved the authors of A Nation at Risk to recommend strengthened requirements, rigorous Standards, and higher expectations for all students. In response to A Nation at Risk, the NCTM began to develop the nation's first educational Standards. This paper satisfies the readers who desire to know the entire development story of the first Standards.

모두 4장에 걸쳐 20편의 논문이 실려 있는 "한국도자사연구"는 외형상 논문집의 체제이면서도 각각의 논문들이 종횡으로 연결돼 있어 한국도자사의 전체상 개괄을 가능케 한다는 점에서 우선 눈길을 끈다. 이와함께, 이제까지의 도자사 연구영역에서 통설로 여겨지던 것들에 대해 과감한 문제제기가 이뤄지고 있는 점도 특징으로 꼽힌다.

가전제품을 설계할 때는 수출된 지역의 규격(standard)을 파악하여, 그 규격에 만족하는 설계를 해야 한다. 점용 전문가시스템 쉘인 ART-IM을 이용하여 이러한 규격을 지식베이스로 구축하여 설계를 지원하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 지식의 추출은 영국의 표준 협회에서 제정한 가정용 전기제품의 안전성에 대한 규격 집인 EN 60 335-1을 이용하였다. 본 논문은 제품의 안전 규격 집이나 사내 규격집 등과 같이, 체계적이고 규범적인 문장의 구성을 가진 기존 문서에서의 지식 추 출 방법론에 대한 연구에 중점을 두고 있다.

1971년 9월 공기조화, 냉동, 위생, 환경과 각종 설비에 관한 학문적 연구와 기술발전을 위해 창립한 공기조화냉동공학회는 현재 3천3백여명이 똘똘 뭉쳐 모범적으로 학술활동을 펼치고 있다. 해마다 학회지 6회, 논문집 6회, 영문논문집 2회를 발간하는 등 96년에는 창립 25돌을 맞아 '온돌'을 주제로 국제학술대회를 열었으며 30돌인 2001년에도 국제학술대회 유치를 계획하고 있다.
