The food culture reflects the unique characteristics of the locality and the lifestyle and values of its members. So It is one of the most revealing elements of local identity. Such a food culture has an intangible form, such as memories and customs related to food, and is an area that is likely to disappear if not recorded and preserved. Based on the study of domestic and foreign cases, documentation was carried out in this study. In addition, we sought ways to manage and utilize the collected and produced records. Therefore, we suggested the method of documenting the local food culture, along with proposed managing the cultural resources of the recorded region and utilizing it in the academic and cultural aspects.

This study aims to introduce the system of records disposal freeze and to draw tasks and propose measure to establish it in the public sector in Korea. First of all, it reviewed the korean regulations and practices related to disposal freeze and suggestions in research paper. While analysing the disposal freeze systems of US and Australia, it identified that the systems were principally run by the National Archives. Thus, 2 cases analysis were conducted in each country. Based on these, this paper studied what should be considered and what could be proposed for the development of the system of records disposal freeze in terms of the regulation, implementations, standard notice statement as well as procedures for korean public records.

The records and archives center provide a variety of archival information services in an effort to get closer to the public. However, there are still some problems with regard to the lack of awareness of records and archives. In order to activate the use of archives, it is necessary to understand the users of archives. Given the problems, this study aims to investigate the awareness of records and archives in university students who are potential users of archives as well as to suggest methods to activate the use of records and archives reflecting the characteristics of university students' awareness. As such, this study surveyed 182 university students at J university. The questionnaire items referred to Market & Opinion Research International (MORI) (2003) as a part of the projects conducted by the Museums Libraries Archives Council (MLA) and Cho's study (2008). The questionnaire items consisted of four major areas: awareness of records and archives, experience with records and archives or reasons of not using them, requirements for the use of archives by potential users, and efficient method of promoting archives. As a result of the survey, most of the university students are indifferent to records. However, they recognized that it is highly important to manage records that are related to historical values and archives that are relevant to information values. In addition, they showed a positive intention to use the archives in the future; thus, it is highly likely for them to be converted into active users through appropriate services. Based on the results, this study proposed important considerations for activating the use of the archives to university students, and suggested methods to activate the archives in terms of user education, program development, and user segmentation.

This study investigated the applicability of the Management System for Records Standard (ISO 30301) in university archives. To examine the current state of the university archives, we surveyed 57 university archives based on the requirements of ISO 30301. We analyzed the current state of the university archives through survey results and professional interviews. Subsequently, we suggested eight things that need improvement for the adoption of ISO 30301 in university archives.

조선시대에 도성의 개천과 한강변에서 하천 수위를 측정하였다. 세종 23년(1441년)에 측우기와 수표(水標)를 제작하여 강우량과 하천수위를 측정하기 시작한 것이다. 수표는 지금의 청계천과 한강변두 곳에 설치하였다. 와다유찌는 조선고대의 관측기록을 정리하면서 측우기 기록을 분석하였고, 수표 기록을 정리하였다. 본 연구에서는 고문헌 자료에서 수표 관측 기록을 복원하여 조선의 도성인 개천(청계천)과 한강의 홍수 기록을 복원하는데 활용하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서 복원한 승정원일기와 기우제등록에 수록된 수표의 관측기록은 와다유찌가 조사한 기록을 상회한다. 와다유찌가 조사한 기록은 명종 1554년부터 영조 1778년까지인데, 1554년의 기록은 1회에 그치며, 인조11년(1633) 이후의 기록이 대부분이다. 이 점은 기우제등록의 경우도 유사하다. 기우제등록은 인조 11년부터 고종 26년(1889)까지의 기우제, 기청제, 기설제에 대한 기록을 정리한 것으로 전체 6권으로 구성되어 있다. 기우제 기록과 함께 수표기록(중부, 남부, 한강 및 수표)이 포함되어 있다. 기우제등록에 수록된 수표기록은 총 690회에 이르지만, 1779년 6월 11일의 3척 5촌을 마지막으로 더 이상의 기록은 찾아볼 수 없다. 숙종의 재위 기간에는 1669년부터 1791년까지 매년의 홍수상황이 기록되어 있다. 당시 한강의 수위와 도성안 개천에서 중부수표와 남부수표 2곳의 수표 기록을 있으나, 숙종 23년(1697)부터는 중부수표만 기록되어 있다. 이 지점에서의 10척을 상회하는 홍수는 20번의 기록이 있다.

The study aims at providing alternative strategies for ongoing issues concerning presidential records. It reviews a history of legislation about presidential records management and discusses issues on protection and disclosure of access-restricted presidential records. Four major issues-presidential records' category, management authority, designated representative, and production control-are argued. As a result, this study proposes solutions to guarantee the independence of presidential records management agency and to innovate a presidential records management process.

This study looked at the US records management system through the US Records Management Act and derived the characteristics of US records management. The federal and state of the United States were compared to identify the characteristics within the US administrative system. Also, the composition and content of the US Records Management Act were analyzed according to the records management process. As a result, US records management has characteristics of recognizing federal and state independence, yet maintaining cooperative relations between agencies for the protection of permanent values.

This article analyzes the contents of the records surrounding the production process of the 'Word Record' produced by the Office of the Records Management Secretariat in relation to the presidential event among the 16th presidential records. Through this, it was suggested to properly understand the production context of the records of the President's events transferred to the Presidential Archives by the 16th President, and based on this, link and organize related records and actively utilize them.

The purpose of this study is to examine the current situation of the judicial records management by paying attention to the lack of relevant research despite the specialty and importance of the judicial records. This study indicates there is much room for improvement. In order to define the judicial records, we first classify the kinds of judicial records produced according to the functions performed by the court. And we inspect how the records are managed and how the judicial records management is operated. We identified the legal and institutional aspects of court records management. Based on this, problems such as lack of records center, lack of records manager, and redundant management of records belonging to court records were derived. As a way to improve this, We proposed the establishment of the archives, the expansion of the records manager or archivist, and the integrated management of the records management institutions.

In consideration of the drastic transformation of records management environments, this study aims to suggest the directions for redesigning the electronic records management policies at a national level. First, it clarifies the four implicit objectives of electronic records management policies since the 2006 amendment of the Public Records Management Act, such as comprehensiveness for ensuring the appropriate management of any type of digital records, digital-friendly processes for records management, proper management for guaranteeing the evidential value of digital records, and long-term preservation of digital records. Second, it examines the challenging environmental factors in the areas since 2006. Third, it reviews the achievement of the policies as well as failures based on analyzing the policy documents and data from the National Archives of Korea. Fourth and finally, it suggests core areas and directions for redesigning the electronic records management policies, emphasizing the inclusiveness for data-type electronic records.
