THE FACTORY-SAEMAUL MOVEMENT AS A QUALITY-IMPROVEMENT CAMPAIGN IN KOREA

  • 품질관리(品質管理)는 종업원(徒業員)의 자발적참여(自發的參與)와 협조(協助) 및 종업원다수(從業員多數)의 참여(參與)가 없이는 성공(成功)할 수 없다. 그런데 근면(勤勉), 자조(自助), 협동(協同)의 새마을정신(精神)을 바탕으로 우리나라 기업(企業)에서 실시(實施)하고 있는 공장(工場)새마을운동(運動)은 종업원(從業員)에 대(對)한 새마을정신(精神)의 고취(鼓吹) 및 이에 의한 품질동기부여(品質動機賦與)를 통(通)하여 전종업원(全從業員)의 자발적(自發的) 참여(參與)로서 자사제품(自社製品)의 품질향상(品質向上)에 지대(至大)한 공헌(貢獻)을 하고 있으며 특(特)히 작업자(作業者)에 의한 품질결함(品質缺陷)(Operator controllable defects)을 제거(除去)하는데 매우 큰 역할(役割)을 하고 있다. 따라서 종업원(從業員)에 대(對)한 동기부여적(動機賦與的) 관점(觀點)에서 볼 때 공장(工場)새마을운동(運動)은 전종업원(全從業員)의 자발적(自發的) 참여(參與)와 협조(協助)를 필수적(必須的) 요소(要素)로 하고 있는 재래적(在來的)인 품질향상운동(品質向上運動)과 일치(一致)한다고 볼 수 있다. 이러한 취지(趣旨)에서 미국(美國)의 ZD운동(運動), 일본(日本)의 Q.C.서어클활동(活動)과 같은 재래적(在來的)인 품질향상운동(品質向上運動)과 한국적(韓國的) 품질향상운동(品質向上運動)인 공장(工場)새마을운동(運動)을 동기부여적측면(動機賦與的側面)에서 비교(比較)하고 공장(工場)새마을운동(運動)의 특징(特徵)과 실천방법(實踐方法)을 정립(定立)하여 보고자 하는 것을 본논문(本論文)의 목적(目的)으로 한다.

Evaluation and Design for Joint Configurations Based on Kinematic Analysis (운동학에 기초한 로봇 손가락의 관절구조 평가 및 설계)

  • This paper presents an evaluation of joint configurations of a robotic finger based on kinematic analysis. The evaluation is based on an assumption that the current control methods for the fingers require that the contact state specified by the motion planner be maintained during manipulation. Various finger-joint configurations have been evaluated for different contact motions. In the kinematic analysis, the surface of the manipulated object was represented by B-spline surface and the surface of the finger was represented by cylinders and a half ellipsoid. Three types of contact motion, namely, 1) pure rolling, 2) twist-roiling, and 3) slide-twist-rolling are assumed in this analysis. The finger-joint configuration best suited for manipulative motion is determined by the dimension of manipulation workspace. The evaluation has shown that the human-like fingers are suitable for maintaining twist-rolling and slide-twist-rolling but not for pure rolling. A finger with roll joint at its fingertip link, which is different from human fingers, proved to be better for pure rolling motion because it can accommodate sideway motions of the object. Several kinds of useful finger-joint configurations suited for manipulating objects by fingertip surface are proposed.

Kinematics of Grasping and Manipulation of Curved Surface Object with Robotic Hand (로봇 손에 의한 자유곡면 물체의 파지 및 조작에 관한 운동학)

  • Kinematics of grasping and manipulation by a multi-fingered robotic hand where multi-fingertip surfaces are in contact with an object is solved. The surface of the object was represented by B-spline surfaces in order to model the objects of various shapes. The fingers were modeled by cylindrical links and a half ellipsoid fingertip. Geometric equations of contact locations have been solved for all possible contact combinations between the fingertip surface and the object. The simulation system calculated joint displacements and contact locations for a given trajectory of the object. Since there are no closed form solutions for contact or intersection between these surfaces, kinematics of grasping was solved by recursive numerical calculation. The initial estimate of the contact point was obtained by approximating the B-spline surface to a polyhedron. As for the simulation of manipulation, exact contact locations were updated by solving the contact equations according to the given contact states such as pure rolling, twist-rolling or slide-twist-rolling. Several simulation examples of grasping and manipulation are presented.

The Kinetic and Kinematic Effect of a 12-week Aquatic Exercise Program on Obstacle Gait in Older Women (12주간 수중운동이 노인여성의 장애물보행에 미치는 운동학 및 운동역학적 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of a 12-week aquatic exercise on obstacle gait in older women. Originally, 20 healthy female elderly participated this study but 12 of them completed the program. All participants were trained in the aquatic exercise program by an authorized trainer. They had come to the authors' lab three times during training period(0, 6, 12 weeks) and performed obstacle gait with three different height(0, 30, and 50% of leg length). After performed 3-Dimensional motion analysis following results were found. (1) For the CV, MVHC, TC, HC, statistically significances were shown in obstacle height. Although significant training effects were not shown, all variables showed typical patterns and it was considered as efficient motion to overcome the height obstacles. (2) The anterior-posterior and vertical GRF of support leg during support phase were revealed in height effect but in training one. However, differences between Peak 1 and Peak 2 in vertical GRF increased as training period increased. (3) Knee and hip resultant joint moments were affected by training but ankle resultant moments remained unchanged.

  • 쾌적한 스포츠웨어는 기능성에 있어서 자연환경의 변화조건과 인체의 운동 및 활동에 맞추어 열절달 및 수분전달 등을 적절히 조절할 수 있어야 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 일반환경조건 및 강우환경조건하에서의 형상기억 투습방수직물 소재의 스포츠웨어 착용에 따른 인체생리반응 및 쾌적감을 규명하기 위하여 스포츠웨어를 제작하여, 인공기후실에서 환경조건변화에 따른 온열생리학적 특성 및 주관적 감각을 측정, 그 특성을 비교, 고찰하였다. 평균피부온은 강우환경조건에서 온도가 낮게, 변동폭이 많게 나타났다. 변화경향을 운동부하를 기점으로 온도의 상승이 나타났고, 운동 2단계에 가장 높은 온도를 나타냈으며, 이후 감소하였다. 직장온은 일반환경조건에 비해 강우환경조건에서 온도의 미세한 상승을 보였다. 의복내 기후는 두 조건 모두에서 가슴부위보다 등부위의 온·습도의 변동폭이 크게 나타났고, 강우환경조건에서의 의복내 온도를 제외하고는 모두 등부위의 온·습도가 높게 나타났다. 최고 혈압은 운동의 강도에 따라 비례하여 상승하고, 최저 혈압에는 큰 영향없이 나타났으며, 변화경향은 의복내 온도의 경향과 역으로 나타났다. 평균혈압은 일반환경조건에서 6.9mmHg 높게 나타났다. 심박수는 일반환경조건에서 4.4beats/min 높게 나타났다. 강우환경조건의 주관적 감각의 평가에서, 신체에 직접 가해지는 빗물 등으로 인해 불쾌감이 증가하였고, 운동 후에는 일반환경조건과 달리 냉감이 증가하였으며, 습윤감은 최고치에 달하였다.

The Kinematical Analysis of Bowling Throw Motion (볼링의 투구동작에 대한 운동학적 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare between success and failure in bowling throw motions. For the data analysis, it was utilized by the method of three dimensional motion analysis and obtained kinematical parameters of stride, COG position and ball position through the address and release motion. The subjects of this study were three female bowling players, and obtained conclusions were as follows; Displacements of stride were not significance of success events, 4th and 5th phase stride were longer than failure. COG variation for height were less than failure, but there not significance between success and failure. The ball position of 3 th phase was lowest than other phases, and throw motions were stable by the small variations for upward downward.

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze the characteristics and problems of "Reading Cheongju" campaign which started as "One Book, One City" reading promotion campaign in 2006 and conducted three times in two years. The analysis of such steps as the selection and distribution of "one book", reading and discussion. events and programs, financial assistance, public relations, etc. documents both positive and negative aspects of its performance. "Reading Cheongju" campaign helped improve both the image of the Cheongju Information Library and the importance of reading and discussion in the community, while lacking in participation from diverse groups of community members, flexibility in spending public expenses, and cooperation among libraries and other related organizations.

The History and the Role of Citizens' Organizations in Science and Technology (과학기술 관련 시민사회운동의 역사와 그 역할)

  • The korean society confronts with social problems which are resulted from the rapid development of science and technology. While the governments politic has concentrated on the economic application of science and technology, various citizens groups have been organized to solve the social problems by themselves. Historically the so called citizens movement in the field of science and technology was formed with the influence of students movement in 1970s. The activities and the aim of the movement have changed in accordance with the state of the korean society. They pay more attention to the enhancement of citizens participation in the development of science and technology. This paper is intended to evaluate the role of the citizens organizations in terms of their participation in the policy-making, formation of alternative scientist and engineer. The practices of the organizations are classified in three periods which corresponds to the process of social movement in Korea. It is further attempted to suggest the future role of those organizations.

Generation of an Optimal Trajectory for Rotorcraft Subject to Multiple Waypoint Constraints (다중 경로점 제한 조건하의 헬리콥터의 최적 경로 생성)

  • Controlling rotorcraft to fly precisely through multiple, irregularly, and closely spaced waypoints is a common and practical mission. However, finding an optimal trajectory for this kind of mission is quite challenging. Usability of traditional approaches such as inverse control or direct methods to this kind of problem is limited because of either limitation on the specification of the constraints or requirement of extensive computation time. This paper proposes a method that can easily compute the full trajectory and control history for rotorcraft to pass through waypoints while satisfying other general constraints of states such as velocities and attitudes on each waypoint. The proposed method is applied to rotorcraft guidance problems of slalom and linear trajectory in the middle of general curved trajectory. The algorithm is test for various situations and demonstrates its usability.
