Research on the Difference on Selection of Travel Product Attributes by Tourism Action: Focus on Outbound Tourist (관광행동에 따른 여행상품속성 선택의 차이에 관한 연구 : 해외여행객을 중심으로)

  • This study intends to provide support for tourism industry to establish marketing strategies for selling the travel products on which it should focus on more by examining the difference on selection of travel product attributes by tourism action. This research utilized cluster analysis and ANOVA. The cluster analysis identified four cluster: logical tourism, weak conspicious tourism, value tourism, conspicuous and value tourism. ANOVA analysis showed that four cluster were different in terms of tourism action such as transportation accommodation facilities, tourist attractions, shopping and meals except for travel service, entertainment.

A System for Personalized Tour Recommendation Based on Ontology (온톨로지 기반의 개인화된 여행 추천 시스템의 구현)

  • We propose and implement a personalized tour recommendation system based on ontology. We utilize user's profile, dynamic information on search in the application, web search, and facebook for personalized recommendation. We construct tour database for England based on ontology for a demo service, and recommend tour spot considering an individual preference with tour database. This dynamic and personalized tour service makes it possible for individual to plan one's own tour by considering recommended tour spots for each individual.

  • 문화체육관광부와 한국관광공사가 트위터, 페이스북 등 소셜미디어 분석한 것에 따르면, 모바일 여행 서비스가 증가하고 있고 여행자들의 취향이 세분화되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 따라 개인 맞춤형 여행을 선호하고 숨은 관광지를 찾는 여행자들이 많아지고 있다. 또한, 국내 여행의 수요가 증가하는 상황에서 출시된 주요 어플리케이션을 살펴보면 변화하고 있는 트렌드에 부합하지 않는다. 따라서, 변화하는 트렌드에 맞춰 사용자가 자신에게 맞는 여행을 계획할 수 있도록 사용자 기반으로 한 추천 기능과 유사한 관광지 추천 기능을 추가한다. 세분화된 사용자의 취향에 근접하기 위해 관광지 개요를 기반으로 유사한 관광지 추천 기능을 구현하고 리뷰 감성 분석을 기반으로 사용자 기반 관광지 추천 기능을 구현한다. 뿐만 아니라, 증강현실 내비게이션 기능도 추가한다. 이를 통해 사용자들이 자신에게 맞는 국내 여행을 계획하는 데 도움을 주고 유명한 관광지보다는 숨은 여행지를 선호하는 사용자 그리고 밀집된 관광지에서 목적지를 찾는 것에 불편함이 있는 사용자들에게는 편리함을 제공해 줄 것으로 기대된다.

A Research on the Cabin Service Quality Factors in a National Carrier affecting Overseas Tourist's Experience and Satisfactiont (여객의 해외여행 관광지 관광체험과 관광만족에 영향을 미치는 국적항공사 객실서비스 품질 요인 연구)

  • This study analyzed empirically the effects of the perception of outbound passengers, who flew from Korea to overseas tourist destinations, on the cabin service quality, tourist experience, and tourist satisfaction. For empirical analysis, a survey was given to Korean passengers using a national carrier of South Korea. Based on empirical analysis, the researchers judged that the analysis results and implications could be applied to inbound foreign passengers who visited Korea for the tourism purposes if researchers generated significant results from empirical analysis. This paper designed a research model that represented the meaningful relationship among, airline cabin-service quality, tourist experience, and tourist satisfaction following preceding research. According to the analysis, that factors that consisted of the cabin service quality had a significant effect on the tourist satisfaction with a mediating effect of both the cognitive and emotional tourist experience. Therefore, the perception on airline's cabin service quality of the national carrier would be a starting point that can help improve the tourist satisfaction.

  • 모바일 컴퓨팅에 대한 관심이 집중되면서 변화하는 사용자의 요구사항을 반영할 수 있는 안정되고 질 높은 서비스에 대한 요구가 증가되고 있다. 향후 유비궈터스 환경에서의 응용 서비스들은 기존의 요구 조건에 더하여 보다 정확한 시간(right time) 에 정확한 위치(right location)로 정화한 장치(right device/ right user)를 지원해 줄 수 있는 정확한 서비스(right service)를 요구하므로 이를 위한 상황 정보 관리 기능을 제공하고 사용자의 요구사항을 만족시킬 수 있어야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 다양한 형태의 사용자 장치와 네트워크 연결성, 사용자 이동성 등을 고려하고 다양한 사용자의 요구사항과 환경의 변화에 따라 사용자에게 높은 품질의 서비스를 제공 할 수 있는 모바일 에이전트 기반의 모바일 응용 프레임워크를 제안하고 응용 시나리오로서 실시간 여행정보를 퐁해 사용자의 상황과 다양한 요구사항의 반영 방법을 설명한다.

The Effects of Services at a Cruise Ship Port on Cruise Tourists' Satisfaction and Loyalty (크루즈 기항지의 서비스가 크루즈 관광객의 여행만족과 충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • It has been known that cruise tourism adds value in the local industry and its impacts on regional economy are tremendous. From this point of view, identifying services provided by a cruise ship port, cruise tourists' satisfaction, and their behavioral intentions are significant issues at cruse destinations. The main purpose of this study was to identify significant service factors at the cruise ship port that have an influence on cruise tourists' satisfaction and loyalty in Jeju Island. To achieve the study purpose, a structured survey questionnaire was developed on the basis of reviewing related literatures. The survey was conducted through personal interviews at the Jeju Cruise Ship Port. In total, 386 useable samples were collected during the period from September 11 to October 29, 2012. According to the factor analysis using 15 attributes related to services at a cruise ship port, three service factors were extracted: (1) infra-services, (2) shore excursion services, and (3) attributes affecting the selection of shore excursions. Regression analyses indicated that two service factors(shore excursion services and attributes affecting the selection of shore excursions) significantly influence cruise tourists' satisfaction and loyalty. Findings in this study may be insightful and useful information to marketers or managers at cruise ship ports.

  • In this paper, we present the Mont-Saint-Michel virtual reality system designed to create the virtual heritage environment, which is enriched with personalized tour guide service. The tour guide system allows users to travel in the virtual heritage site and get more information about the sites or items of user's interests. It also allows users to make their own tour guidebook with the pictures they have taken during the virtual tour and more detail descriptions from the tour guide database. It then generates the web-based tour guidebook for users to utilize it for the actual site visit or share it with others over the Internet. The components of this system are designed with the consideration of reusability to be used for other interactive tour guide systems. This paper describes the motivation the development and a preliminary user study of Mont-Saint-Michel virtual reality personalized tour guide system.

The Effects of Hotel Visitors' Cultural Characteristics on Hotel Selection Attributes: Focusing on the Hofstede Cultural Dimension (호텔 방문객들의 문화적 특성이 호텔 선택속성에 끼치는 영향: Hofstede 문화차원을 중심으로)

  • As cultural background contributes members of society to recognize and behave in a specific direction, customers with different cultural backgrounds show various reactions even when they are provided with the same service. Previous studies have used the Hofstede cultural dimension to understand how hotel visitors' satisfaction varies with the provided service as per their cultural background. However existing research only considered the cultural background of the guests, and there are not many studies focused on the types of travel. Therefore, in this study, the travel types of hotel visitors are classified into business travel visitors and leisure tourism visitors, and analyzed the effect of Hofstede's cultural dimension on hotel selection attributes according to the styles of travel. In this study, we collected information on six cultural dimensions of Hofstede, and from TripAdvisor, a representative tourism platform, 204,261 optional attribute ratings for hotels in New York to investigate the satisfaction of hotel selection attributes. In conclusion, it is expected that this study will be able to identify which service attributes the customers of various cultures who visit hotels put emphasis in advance, and therefore provide suitable service accordingly.

  • 여행지에서 제공하고 있는 스탬프 투어링 서비스는 여행객들에게 특별한 기념이 되어주고 있지만, 스탬프를 받기 위한 장소를 찾기 어려운 점과 여행지의 주변 정보를 얻기 위해서는 여행자의 별도의 노력이 필요하다는 단점이 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 유명 관광지 및 추천 명소 등에 NFC 태그를 설치하고 간단한 태깅만으로 스탬프를 수집할 수 있는 어플리케이션을 제안한다. 또한 이 어플리케이션에 저장되는 정보와 평가를 이용해 사용자별 맞춤 여행 코스를 제공하고 사용자가 좀 더 편리하고 재미있는 여행을 즐길 수 있도록 돕고자 한다.
