여느 기업인을 만나더라도 한결같이 강조하는 것이 있다. 바로‘기술과 인재의 중요성’이다. ‘위기가 기회’라는 말도 자주 한다. 이런 말들은 기업인들이 경영을 통해 체득한 기업생존의 필수요소들이다. 친환경기업‘에코솔루션’의 황종식 대표 역시‘기술과 인재, 위기’를 말한다. 하지만 말의 무게는 사뭇 다르다. IMF 위기 속에서도 꿋꿋이 기업을 싹틔워 매출 200여 억원의 기업을 일궈낸 황대표의 기술과 인재관을 들어보자.

두산DST(대표 엄항석)가 자체 기술로 개발한 차륜형 중장갑차를 인도네시아에 수출한다. 이에 두산DST는 지난 5월 2일 창원 본사에서 인도네시아 육군에 인도될 $6{\times}6$ 차륜형 중장갑차(인도네시아 육군 명칭 따란툴라 $6{\times}6$) 장비 출고식을 가졌으며, 이날 행사에는 방위사업청 관계자와 인도네시아 검사관, 직원 등 80여 명이 참석했다.

The aim of this study was to provide the way of activation plans of leisure activities for older people through the current status and problems in welfare center for the elderly in Korea. Various social phenomena and issues have been found to occur in rapidly social-structure changes and urban civilization. Especially, processing an aging society for no preparation is one of the broader question of our country. Developing the scientific and civilization lengthening our span of life is given more leisure time than past. Unfortunately, older people could not independently stand for in their leisure, if society does not support for them. It means that they might feel the enough time to monotone life, depression and a sense of alienation. The following ideas would be expressed to the way of activation plans of elderly leisure. First, the elderly leisure facilities for leisure and publicity activities should be supplemented or strengthened. Second simple entertainment-oriented programs in the physical and psychology learning to adapt for them should be obtained through leisure activities for older people. Third, more senior recreation specialists or therapists should be educated for leisure activities. Fourth, the concept of leisure in older people's idea should be changed through the education. Fifth, people who work in the welfare center for the elderly should develop the leisure programs or activities for older people. Last the new culture of leisure concept should be constructed in our society between the two and three generation for sharing and participating the leisure.

This study was conducted with the aim of presenting a strategic implication for effective political campaign in the election situation which is held almost every year including the early presidential election. For this purpose, the $2{\times}2{\times}2$ triad experiment design of framing, involvement, political efficacy. The result shows that the main effect of framing and political efficacy was found, but the main effect of involvement was not shown. And also a result of two-way ANOVA, the interaction between framing and involvement was significant, but the interaction effect between framing and political efficacy was not significant. In addition, the three-way interaction effects of framing, involvement, and political efficacy were also significant. This study suggests that prospect theory is not often used to test the effects of political campaign messages and suggests new perspectives on political campaign strategies by introducing the prospect theory into election campaign message research.

A study on the function of the Laurer's canal of Clonorchis sinensis was conducted with help of the light microscope, the transmission electron microscope, and the scanning elctron microscope. Some selected sexual organs concerning with the passages of the spermatozoa and the eggs were observed in detail. The conclusion of this study is that the Laurer's canal may be the copulatory organ of the female reproductive system as Miyazaki et al. suggested in case of lung flukes.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the differential effects of the determinants of life satisfaction among the elderly and a variety of health, economic, leasure activity, social support and psychological variables were comprehensively examined as determinants of life satisfaction among the elderly. The sample of this study was composed of 347 old people participating in the leasure activity programs operated by 10 facilities for the aged in Seoul. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed employing structural equation modelling technique as a main data analysis method. It was found that subjective health condition, subjective economic level, productive and consumptive leasure activities, spouse and children support, self-esteem and extraversion had positive effects on life satifaction among the elderly. The theoretical and practical implications of this study were discussed and the directions for future research were suggested.

2009 세계 천문의 해(International Year of Astronomy 2009, IYA2009) 한국조직위원회는 지난 1년간 148개 참가국의 일원으로 다양한 활동을 펼쳤다. IYA2009 활동은 강연, 별 축제와 같은 고전적인 이벤트로부터 시, 수필, 에세이, 음악, 미술, 만화, 영화, 대회, 인터넷 생중계, 플래시 동영상과 같이 새롭게 시도된 프로그램에 이르기까지 다양하게 기획, 운영되었다. 또한 우리는 시민천문대와 과학관, 미술관은 물론, 지하철, 기차역, 시청, 놀이공원, 쇼핑몰, 백화점, 병원, 그리고 경찰서에 이르기까지, 기존의 전통적인 전시공간을 벗어나 다양한 장소에서 전시회와 동영상 상영을 시도했다. 우리는 지난 1년간 90여 종의 행사를 410여 회에 걸쳐 진행했으며, 총 11,700,000여 명의 일반 시민과 학생들이 2009 세계 천문의 해에 참여한 것으로 추산하고 있다. IYA2009는 강연 200여 회, 전시 80여 회, 공연 15회, 학회 7회 등으로 요약할 수 있으며, 공식책자 4종, 도록 3종이 발간되었다. 관련 보도자료는 40 차례 배포했으며, 그 결과 2,500여 건이 언론을 통해 보도되었고, 총 248편의 연재기사가 실렸다. 2009 세계 천문의 해 한국조직위원회 공식 웹진 '이야진' 접속자는 999,890명, 총 페이지 뷰 건수는 131,963,473을 기록했다.

PAF (Platelet-activating factor: 혈소판 활성화인자)는 1972년 Benveniste등에 의해 토끼의 호중구 배양 상청액중에서 발견되어 1979년 그 구조가 1-alkyl-2-acethyl-sn glycero-3-phosphocholine의 구조를 갖는 에테르형 인 지질임이 밝혀졌다. 그후 혈소판 이외 과립구, 단구나 macrophage, 혈관내피세포등 조직의 염증담당세포가 다양한 자극에 응하여 PAF를 생성됨이 보고되었다. PAF가 나타내는 대표적 활성으로는 혈소판, 호중구, 단구들의 활성화, 호중구의 유주 활성, 혈관투과성 항진, 혈압강하작용. 기관지 수축 등이 알려졌으며. 또한 염증, 알러지, 천식 endotoxin shock 등 여러질병에 직·간접적으로 관여함이 알려졌다. 이와같은 여러 생리 현상은 PAF의 특이적수용체를 개재하여 일어난다는 것이 밝혀졌다. 따라서 PAF의 다양한 질병의 관여가 밝혀짐으로서, PAF길항제의 개발이 활발히 진행되어왔다. 지금까지 PAF길항제의 개발은 PAF 구조 유사체. benzodiazepam유도체, thiazole유도체 등과 같은 합성품과 ginkolide, kadsurenone과 같은 천연물 유리의 것이 알려져 in vivo model에서도 그 효능이 확인되었다. 본 연구는 이와 같은 배경에서 20여 종의 생약에서 PAF 길항제를 검색하던 중 5종류의 생약에서 PAF 길항작용을 갖는 분획을 찾았기에 이에 보고한다.

This paper describes development of a knowledge-based system for main engine selection of ships using general purpose expert system development tool, Nexpert Object. Developed system consist of ship performance estimation module such as resistance and propulsion, data base for main engine, knowledge base for main engine selection in Nexpert Object and graphic user interface.
