In this paper, a study was conducted to understand how students' attitudes and tendencies toward reading affect the newly emerging coding education. Relevant data were collected by dividing it into three areas (reading, coding, and leisure). In the reading area, data on preference books, preferred types of reading and etc were collected. In the coding area, prior learning of coding, main tasks using a computer, time used for learning and etc were collected. In the leisure area, main leisure activities and hours of spent leisure time per one week were collected. Using the collected data, we classified and analyzed the data based on the preferred reading method to identify the problems of non-major students who have difficulties in coding education. In coding education, the excerpts reading student group showed the best achievement (average 60.1), and the extensive reading group showed the lowest achievement (average 48.4). The students who read extensively spent more time in coding study than the group of students who preferred other reading methods, but showed the lowest achievement.

This study examined elementary students' reading attitudes to identify the state of feeling related to reading. For this, 523 elementary students from the forth to the sixth of 'model schools for reading' participated and completed questionnaires. The results show that the average score of reading attitudes was 3.8 out of 5, and there were differences between schools, gender and grade levels. Girls' reading attitudes were more positive than boys and sixth-grade students' reading attitudes were the most negative of all grades. The students' attitudes of the school which emphasized reading for pleasure were better than that of reading for academic achievement.

책을 많이 읽는 사람이 사회를 이끄는 리더가 된다고 한다. 그러나 우리의 여가활용은 여전히 TV이고 독서는 꼴지를 차지할 만큼 책을 읽지 않는다. 우리의 아킬레스건은 창의적인 엘리트가 없다는 것이다. 스스로 TV를 멀리하고 자녀들과 함께 책을 읽는 습관을 들이는 것이 절실할 때이다.

국내 성인 10명 중 3명이 1년에 한 권의 책도 읽지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 최근 문화체육관광부가 발표한 '2009년 국민 독서실태조사' 결과에 따르면 1년간 1권 이상의 책을 읽은 사람의 비율을 나타내는 독서율이 성인의 경우 71.7%로 전년에 비해 0.5%포인트 하락했다. 즉 28.3%의 성인은 1년간 단 한 권도 안 읽었다는 말이다. 성인들의 연평균 독서량도 10.9권으로 전년(11.9권)에 비해 1권 줄었다. 성인의 평균 독서시간은 평일 28분, 주말 29분으로 전년 대비 1분씩 감소했다. 아울러 성인은 여가시간 활용비율 중 '책 읽기'가 차지하는 비중이 7위에 불과했다. 1위는 TV시청이었고 인터넷, 수면 휴식, 만남 모임, 집안일, 운동 등 답변이 뒤를 이었다. 반면 1학기 동안 1권 이상 책을 읽은 학생의 비율(학생 독서율)은 93.7%로 전년 대비 4.6%포인트 늘었다. 학생들의 1학기 평균 독서량은 2008년 14권에서 지난해 16권으로 늘었다. 이는 1994년 조사가 실시된 이래 가장 많은 독서량이다. 초등학생은 하루 평균 56분을 독서에 할애하는 것으로 나타났다. 중학생은 40분, 고등학생은 38분으로 학교 급이 높을 수록 독서시간이 줄어드는 경향을 보였다. 이번 국민독서실태 조사는 만 18세 이상 성인 1000명과 초 중 고등학생 3000명을 대상으로 실시됐다. 다음은 "2009 국민독서실태조사" 결과 요약이다.

The purpose of this study is to develop a test tool that can be measured in various aspects for the reading attitudes of children. For that it was set the configuration based on the preceding reading attitude survey and models and tacit knowledge of attitude toward reading and wrote the questions for reading attitudes. It conducted a primary and secondary test for elementary school students in grades 4-6 to verify the validity and reliability of measurement tools. 8 factors of the reading attitudes measurement tool were extracted through exploratory factor analysis and it described 66.29% of total variable. the r-value for inter-item consistency about reading attitudes were above 0.4 on all questions. The Cronbach ${\alpha}$-value of reliability coefficient about reading attitudes measurement tool was 0.950. Therefore Reading attitude test tool have reading usefulness, reading efficacy, leisure, stiumulation, flow, expression, study, assertiveness as sub factors of reading attitude has been shown that it can serve as a useful tool for measuring various aspects of the reading attitude for children.

어린이 도서관은 일상생활 가까이에서 지역주민에게 지식정보 서비스를 제공할 뿐 아니라 공공도서관과의 연계를 통해 우리나라 전체 도서관 서비스의 수준을 발전시키고자 하는 생활 친화적 문화기반 시설인 소규모 도서관(혹은 문고)시설이다. 즉 어린이 도서관은 접근성을 가장 큰 장점으로 하여 누구나 쉽고 편리하게 이용할 수 있는 고객중심의 공공도서관 서비스라고 할 수 있다. 어린이 도서관의 주 이용고객은 어린이와 주부로서 최근 이들이 함께 도서관을 이용하는 빈도가 증가하면서 어린이 도서관은 단순히 책을 빌리고 공부를 하는 장소에서 나아가 가족단위의 여가활동이 가능한 문화적 공간으로 변모하여가고 있다. 어린이 도서관은 기본적으로 책을 읽는 조용한 공간이지만 주 이용자가 6세 미만의 유아와 초등학교 저학년 어린이이기에 독서행위와 더불어 또래 친구들과의 친교행위. 부모님과의 정서적 유대감 형성행위, 소규모 근육활동과 같은 놀이행위가 병행된다. 또 어린이 도서관에서 사용되어지는 정형적인 모듈의 서가를 비롯한 입식. 좌식 테이블과 의자들은 소수의 디자이너에 의해 만들어진 것이지만 그것을 이용하는 다수의 어린이들은 디자이너의 의도와 방법에 따라 가구를 사용하는 것 외에도 환경적 컨텍스트에 맞추어 가구의 새로운 쓰임을 발견하며 훨씬 더 다채로운 방법으로 가구를 사용하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 독서 및 놀이 행위 시 아동-부모의 상호작용 방법에 기반하여 아동의 가구사용방법(Way of Seat)을 알아보고 이를 바탕으로 어린이의 행태정보를 모델링하여 가구를 사용하는 어린이의 다양한 행위 이면에 내재된 요구를 파악하는데 있다. 가구를 사용하는 어린이의 다양한 행태 이면에 내재한 어린이만의 특성과 요구를 알아보기 위해서는 먼저 어린이 도서관이라는 특수한 물리적 환경요인 및 사용자 컨텍스트(Context)에 대한 이해가 선행되어야 한다. 이를 위해 기반조사 및 어린이 도서관 방문을 통한 정황조사(Contextual Inquiry)를 실시하였다. 이를 통해 6세 미만의 유아와 초등학생의 가구사용방법(Way of Seat)과 독서 및 놀이 행위 시 행태를 관찰하여 Photo Based Research를 바탕으로 어린이의 행태정보를 모델링 하였다.

Bibliotherapy personal appetite through literature as well as physical and mental health while it also creates production of healthy society and healthy leisure. As a result, it might be an approach to qualitative development of our society in terms of being an effective tool to contribute to the overall welfare improvement of our nation. The purpose of this research is to examine the current operation conditions of bibliotherapy services of medical libraries, to conduct survey on the librarians of perception about bibliotherapy services, and based on the results of this survey, to provide basic data for bibliotherapy services of medical libraries. To do this, Analyses of questionnaires going out to 57 librarians of 57 medical libraries among the member libraries of the Korea Medical Library Association. Through the results of this research, it can be seen that the librarians in the medical libraries perceive highly of providing bibliotherapy services for the users. The results of this study will likely suggest the need to re-align or shift current bibliotherapy services.

Many readers tend to read books of a specific author and to expand their reading areas according to the author. This study chose Edgar Allan Poe and analyzed the image of the author using co-recommended authors and books by other readers. The frequencies of co-occurred authors and books were investigated and the relations of authors and books were analyzed with network analysis methods. As a result, genre images of Poe, related authors, and related books are discovered. This study also suggested the methods to identify the image of a author, related author groups, and related books for libraries' reading programs and book curation.

This study aims to deduct the extensive improvement types of leisure activities of private security agents using PPA technique and to examine the influence of leisure constraint on the index of participation. Through this process, this study consequently will draw the priority list of investment on the policy for improving the welfare status of private security agents. In this study, judgement sampling was applied to 6 security agencies located in Seoul, 2010, and 267 cases were used in the final analysis. Collected data went through factor analysis, reliability analysis, paired t test, PPA analysis, and regression analysis by using SPSSWIN 17.0. The conclusions were drawn as follows. In regard to the reliability, Cronbach's $\alpha$ was over .768. First, there was a difference between the preference rate and the participation rate which are the participation index of the private security agents' leisure activities. concentrate here in leisure types turned out to be fitness activities, walking/jogging, tourism, a day-long travel, and keep up the cood work in leisure types are movies, domestic tourist attractions, dating, eating out, personal relationship, watching sports, reading, karaoke, TV video watching, drinking etc. low priority in leisure types are water sports, hiking, biking, soccer, photography, ball games, sky sports, playing go/janggi, inline skates, and cooking. Second, the leisure constraint affects the participation index of leisure activities. As the personal constraint, and surrounding conscious constraint which are the subordinate factors of the leisure constraint get bigger, the participation index of favored leisure activities become lower. In contrast, when the difficulties such as structural constraint, time and economical constraint are overcome, participation index of leisure activities go on the rise.

The purpose of this study was to assess the performance of Korean public libraries based on the national representative sample using Vakkari and Serola's (2012) public library outcome scale. Conducting a web-based survey to 1,000 Korean adults nationwide, the responses of 629 respondents who had visited the public library in the past year were analyzed. Results showed that, among the 19 benefit areas, "reading fiction and non-fiction" was the most perceived benefit area followed by "acquiring educational opportunities", and "self-development during leisure time". The benefits were considerably lowly perceived in the rest 16 areas. Different from the original four-factor structure, "reading/self development" were emerged as a new factor in this Korean sample. The benefits were perceived differently by citizens with different socio-demographic backgrounds. Results informed the current status of the public library performance and values perceived by the general Korean adults population across the nation.
