Research on Communication and The Operating of Server System for Vehicle Diagnosis and Monitoring (차량진단 및 모니터링을 위한 통신과 서버시스템 운용에 관한 연구)

  • This article is concerned with the technology to provide car driver the car's status which are composed of car trouble code in car engine and many sensors. In addition, it installs vehicle diagnostic programs on wireless communication's portable device, for example, Smart phone, PDA, PMP, UMPC. As a result, this is to provide car manager with many information of car sensors when we go to car maintenance. it can monitor relevant information on vehicle by portable device in real time, alert drivers with specific messages and also enable them to address abnormalities immediately. Moreover, the technology could help the drivers who perhaps don't know very well about their vehicles to drive safely and economically as well; the reason is because the whole system is composed of just Vehicle-information collecting device and personal wireless communication's portables and transfers the relating data to server computers through wireless network in order to handle information on vehicles. This technology make us monitor vehicle's running, failure and disorder by using wireless communication's portable device. Finally, this study system is composed of a lot of application to display us the car's status which get car's inner sensor information while driving a car.

Evaluation of EGR applicability for NOx reduction in lean-burn LPG direct injection engine (초희박 LPG 직접분사식 엔진에서 질소산화물 저감을 위한 배기재순환 적용성 평가)

  • In order to keep the competitiveness of LPG fuel for transportation fuel, the difference in fuel consumption with gasoline and cost for an aftertreatment system should be reduced with continuous development of technology for LPG engine. In the present study, spray-guided type direct injection combustion system, whose configuration is composed of direct injector in the vicinity of spark plug, was employed to realize stable lean combustion. A certain level of nitrogen oxides($NO_x$) emits due to a locally rich mixture regions in the stratified mixture. With the application of EGR system for the reduction of $NO_x$, 15% of $NO_x$ reduction was achieved whereas fuel consumption and hydrocarbon emission increased. By the application of EGR, the combustion speed reduced especially appeared at initial flame development period and peak heat release rates and increasing rates for heat release rate decreased as EGR rate increased due to the dilution effect of intake air.

Design and Implementation of the Customized Contents Organization Engine (맞춤형 콘텐츠 구성 엔진의 설계 및 구현)

  • In currently being adopted as a e-leaning standard, SCORM it is difficult to provide the customized contents to a learner by changing the learner's level at runtime, and to control selective studying. So, we designed and implemented the customized contents organization engine(CCOE) in order to complement SCORM's faults in this paper. The CCOE consists of a level evaluation module, a contents re-organization module and a question item selection module. A level evaluation module evaluates the learner's level based on a question item reaction theory. And a question item selection module selects some random items by each level or by considering the learner's level which is then provided to a studying before evaluation, a section evaluation, and a quiz. And then this module transmits the selected items to the contents reorganization module for providing the quiz. A contents re-organization module selects the customized contents based on the learner's level by searching the tagged difficulty to the content, and creates the sequence with the selected items and the transmitted items from the question item selection module. If proposed in this paper CCOE is applied, the higher effectiveness of learning is expected by providing the customized learning contents based on the re-evaluated learner's level by each section.

Effects of Intake Gas Mixture Cooling on Enhancement of The Maximum Brake Power in a 2.4 L Hydrogen Spark-ignition Engine (수소 내연기관의 흡기 냉각 방법에 따른 최고 출력 향상에 관한 연구)

  • Since hydrogen has the lower minimum ignition energy than that of gasoline, hydrogen could be also appropriate for the IC engine systems. However, due to the low ignition energy, there might be a 'back-fire' and 'pre-ignition' problems with hydrogen SI(Spark-ignition) combustion. In this research, cooling effects of intake gas mixture on the improvement of the maximum power output were evaluated in a 2.4 L SI engine. There were two ways to cool intake gas mixtures. The first one was cooling intake fresh air by adjusting inter-cooler system after turbocharger. The other one was cooling hydrogen fuel before supplying by using heat ex-changer. Cooling hydrogen was performed under natural aspired condition. The result showed that cooling fresh air from 40 ℃ to 20~30 ℃ improved the maximum brake power up to 6.5~8.6 % and cooling hydrogen fuel as -6 ℃ enhanced the maximum brake power likewise.

A Development of A Gas Mechanical Pulsator (압력 섭동 장치 설계/제작 및 검증시험)

  • A gas mechanical pulsator is developed for the study of combustion instabilities in various combustors such as LRE combustor. First, it shows that the mass flow rates and the perturbation frequencies can be successively controlled by the inlet pressure and the rotating speed of a rotating disk with many holes. Second, the device is used as an acoustic amplification source as a substitute for the speaker in the previous acoustic tests and its results show almost the same resonant frequency and damping characteristics compared with the previous results. In conclusion, the result shows that it can be used as a substitute for a speaker in the studies of LRE combustion instabilities, which has a flow and no limitation of amplification, and a device for making a perturbation source in gas flow.

  • In this study, a method for increasing the initial water supply was employed to protect the water injection nozzle by the flame when supplying the water to the steam generator. During the initial steam generator test, the flow rate was controlled by using the only venturi, but cooling water was not supplied to the combustion chamber at the beginning of combustion, thereby resulting in damage to the water nozzle. To solve this problem, a venturi and an orifice were configured in parallel to increase the initial supply flow rate to form a differential pressure between the water manifold and the combustion chamber. Venturi and orifice supply sequences were established through the water flow tests, and combustion tests were conducted for final verification. Consequently, a continuous supply of the cooling water at the beginning of combustion was achieved, and the experiment was successfully performed without damaging the cooling water nozzle.

Construction of High-Pressure Pressurized Liquid Nitrogen Supply Facilities (고압의 가압식 액체질소 공급 설비 구축)

  • In this study, a facility was constructed to supply liquid nitrogen to simulate combustion instability in a liquid rocket combustor. The pressurization and supply performances were predicted and verified through different experiments. The liquid nitrogen supply system was composed of a pressurized supply system, and a dome regulator was used to adjust the pressure of the pressurant. A cavitation venturi was used to control the mass flow rate of liquid nitrogen. The condition of liquid nitrogen supply was a mass flow rate of 2.55 kg/s and the venturi inlet pressure was above 100 bar. Based on the initial experiment, it was observed that the predicted amount of the pressurant was not sufficiently supplied and the target pressure was not supplied due to a drop in tank pressure. Through the modification of the established facilities, the target mass flow rate was successfully supplied and the cryogenic liquid nitrogen supply facility was verified.

50 W 급 저전력 원통형 이온빔 소스의 개발 및 연구

  • 전기추력기는 화학식 추력기에 비해 비추력이 높아 인공위성의 자세제어, 궤도수정, 궤도천이를 포함한 행성 탐사활동 및 우주 임무수행을 위한 우주선의 엔진 등으로 다양하게 활용된다. 홀 추력기는 전기추력기 중 하나로 고리형 방전공간을 가진 고리형 추력기와 원통형 방전영역을 가진 원통형 추력기가 있으며, 원통형 추력기는 고리형에 비하여 넓은 방전공간으로 저전력 방전에 적합한 추력기이다. 또한, 저전력 추력기는 큐브셋(cubesat) 및 마이크로 위성(microsatellite)의 증가하는 수요에 따라 필요성이 증가하고 있으며, 활용도가 높아 다양하게 연구 및 개발되고 있다. 홀 추력기는 자기장과 전기장을 서로 수직되게 인가하여, 자화된 전자는 플라즈마 방전을 유지시키고 자화되지 않은 이온은 전기장 방향으로 가속되어 이온빔을 발생시킨다. 하지만, 저전력 소형 추력기는 작은 소모전력과 방전채널로 인한 성능 저하 및 자기장 구조 설계 등 많은 어려움들을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는, 약 50 W급의 소모전력을 바탕으로 영구자석을 이용한 저전력 플라즈마 추력기를 개발하였다. 방전 채널은 지름 15 mm, 길이 16 mm, 무게는 약 0.6 kg으로 원통형 구조의 채널로 제작되었으며, 약 1500-2000 G의 자기장 세기를 갖도록 설계하였다. 방전 기체는 제논을 사용하여 1-5 sccm영역에서 방전 특성을 살펴보았으며, 방전 전류는 0.02-0.4 A로 나타났다. 100-550 V영역에서 방전을 시도하였고, 채널길이를 16-24 mm 에서 약 1mN 급의 추력특성을 보였다. 본 발표에서, 홀 추력기의 제작 특성과 성능 및 플라즈마 특성에 대한 더 자세한 연구결과가 발표될 예정이다.

  • In this paper, we propose an object control system on table top display to support augmented reality in which objects in real-world control computer-generated data. We developed LED-based object control system over table top display so that it is capable of controlling networked table top display. The LED-based object control system supports more natural interactive interface. In this paper, infrared LED is used to implement the object control device to be recognised by table top display. We applied LED-based object control system in air hockey game where a team has a point if their puck goes to opponent's net on a table. Since users can control objects in cyber world with the proposed object control device, it is realized augmented reality.

Analysis of Fast Injection Response Characteristics Between Solenoid and Piezo-Driven Injector (솔레노이드 및 피에조 인젝터의 고속분사 응답성 해석)

  • It is well known that the performance of a diesel injector is directly related to the power, emission, and fuel consumption of the diesel combustion engine. In this study, the injection response characteristics of CRDi injectors driven by a solenoid coil and a piezoceramic were investigated by using the AMESim simulation code. Some analytical parameters such as the fuel pressure and hole diameter were considered. From this study, it was shown that the piezo-driven injector had a faster response and had better control capability than the solenoid-driven injector. In addition, it was found that the piezo-driven injector can be utilized more effectively in a multiple injection scheme than a solenoid-driven injector.
