This study was performed to evaluate the effect of placebo(emotional stimulus) on physical fitness and psychological wellbeing. The subjects for the study were devided into two groups. One experimental group received placebo and the other control group did not receive. Each group was composed of 15 women. The subjects continued aerobic exercise for an hour each time, three times a week, for eight weeks. The enhancement of physical fitness has been evaluated by body weight, BP, pulse rate, skinfold thickness, circumference of waist and hip, body fat, % body fat, lean body mass, % lean body mass they were measured three times every 4 weeks. Also to evaluate the enhancement of psychological wellbeing, the self-esteem and self-perception were measured. The results can be summarized as follows : 1. The % body fat of experimental group decreased significantly than that of control group(p<0.1). 2. The % lean body mass of experimental group decreased significantly than that of control group(p<0.1). 3. There was no significant difference of other physical fitness factors between experimental group and control group. 4. There was no significant difference of self-esteem between experimental group and control group. 5. There was no significant difference of self-perception between experimental group and control group. From these results, it may be concluded that placebo(emotional stimulus) which received during aerobic exercise period is partially effective in the enhancement of the physical fitness.
The purpose of this study were two fold : first, to determine the effect of aerobic exercise on BP, pulse rate, body fat, body weight, symptoms of sterss response: and secondly, to apply the aerobic exercise on nursing practice in the healthy or ill subjects. In an attempt to investigate the physiological and psychological effect of exercise, a quasi -experiment, non-equivalent control group pre-test & post-test design was planned. Experiments were carried out from July 4, through August 30, 1994 with 37 subjects conveniently sampled from K & Y sports center located in Taejon. The 37 research subjects were assigned to experimental(16 subjects) and control(21 subjects) groups. Aerobic exercise was carried out for experimental group from three times to five times a week for 6 weeks in aerobic center. Data were analyzed with t-test, mean, per centage of change using SAS program. Results were obtained as follows: 1) Systolic blood pressure (M=123.75mmHg, % of change=1.12%) and diastolic blood pressure (M=74.38mmHg, % of change=5.79%) was increased on that of experimental group after 6 weeks experiment. But there was no significant difference between experimental group and control group. 2) Body weight was decreased on that of experimental group(M=56.54Kg, % of change=-1.60%) and that of control group(M=52.05, % of change=-0.99%) after 6 weeks. But there was no significant difference between experimental group and control group. 3) Body fat was decreased on that of experimental group(M=30.53%, % of change=-3.60%) and that of control group (M=28.75%, % of change=-3.52%) after 6 weeks. There was no significant difference between experimental group and control group. 4) Pulse rate was decreased on that of experimental group(M=69.19회/min, % of change -8.43%) and that of control group(M=76.0회/min, % change -0.07%) after 6weeks. There was significant difference(t=-2.621, P<0.05) between experimental group and control group. 5) Symptoms of stress response were decreased on that of experimental group(M=0.97) and that of control group(M=1.15) after 6 weeks. There was no significant difference between experimental group and control group. Therefore, adherence to aerobic exercise for 6 week seem to be affected mainly pulse rate of subjects. A futher study is necessary to determine the difference in the effect of variety exercise, programs, to study over 6 weeks, to produce professional educational program for exercise speciality nurses.
We studied the effects of behavior modification and aerobic exercise on body weight, degree of obesity, % body fat, triceps skinfold thickness, blood pressure and eating behavior among overweight middle school girls. 15 girls participated in the behavior modification program by joining 60-90 minute group session weekly. The aerobic exercise program was given to 13 girls 3 times per week with 60 minutes each time. The data were obtained before treatment, after 4 and 8 weeks after treatment. In analyzing the data, repeated measures ANOVA were adopted. The results were as follows ; 1. For the changes of body weight between 2 groups, body weight of behavior modification groups decreased significantly than these of aerobic exercise group at 4 and 8 weeks after treatment, 2. For the changes of degree of obesity between 2 groups, there were no significant differences over time, 3. The analysis of change of % body fat did not reveal significant differences between 2 groups over time, 4. The changes of triceps skinfold thickness were significant differences between 2 groups over time, 5. For the changes of systolic blood pressure between 2 groups, there were significant differences over time. At 4 weeks after treatment, systolic blood pressure of behavior modification group decreased significantly than these of aerobic exercise group. 6. The changes of diastolic blood pressure were significant differences between 2 groups over time.
Purpose: This study was conducted in order to investigate the effects of an aerobic exercise program on mobility, fall efficacy, balance, and stress in the elderly at senior centers. Methods: This research was conducted as a quasi-experimental pretest and posttest control and experimental comparison study. The subjects were 41 senior residents (Exp.=18, Cont.=23) who aged above 65 at senior centers in S City. The period of time for data collection and intervention was from August 25 to December 5, 2008. Results: Mobility (t=-3.10, p<.01) in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group without an aerobic exercise program. However, fall efficacy (t=1.28, p=.207), balance (t=-.53, p=.602; t=.36, p=.723), stress (t=-1.32, p=.199) in the experimental group was not significantly higher than that in the control group. Conclusion: These findings confirmed that aerobic exercise programs make a contribution to improving mobility in the elderly at senior centers.

This study was designed and undertaken to find out the influence of aerobic dancing on women's body image and self-concept, and to determine that body image is directly related to their self-concept. The data were collected from August 1st to September 30th, 1993. The subjects in this study were 150 women registered at aerobic center in Taejon city over for 4weeks(aerobic dancing group) and 132 women who visited at 3 beauty shop located in Taejon city and did not participate in any sports program over for 4 weeks (genernal group). Data were analysed for mean, $X^2-test$, T-test, ANOVA and Pearson-correlation coefficients using the SPSS program. The results of this study were as follows ; 1. Hypothesis I : 'There will be a difference in body image between aerobic dancing group and general group', was rejected (t=1.46, p>0.05) 2. Hypothesis II : 'There will be a difference in self-concept between aerobic dancing group and general group', was supported (t=2.38, p<0.05) . 3. Hypothesis III : 'The more positive body image will be, the higher self-concept will be', was supported(r=0.3393, p<0.01). 4. In the relationships between the body image and the general characteristics of the subjects, occupation(aerobic dancing group and total group), religion(general group), and marriage status(total group) were statistically significant results. 5. In the ralationships between the self-concept and the general characteristics of the subjects, the relationship between evaluational self-concept and occupation was statistically significant result in the total group, between the cognitive self-concept and occupation was in the general group and total group, and between evaluational self-concept and education was in the aerobic dancing group.
This study aimed to investigate the effects of vocal aerobic treatment (VAT) on the improvement of voice in patients with voice disorders. Twenty patients (13 males, 7 females) were diagnosed with voice disorders on the basis of videostroboscopy and voice evaluations. Acoustic evaluation was performed with the Multidimensional voice program (MDVP) and Voice Range Profile (VRP) of Computerized Speech Lab (CSL), and aerodynamic evaluation with PAS (Phonatory Aerodynamic System). The changes in F0, Jitter, Shimmer, and NHR before and after treatment were measured by MDVP. F0 range and Energy range were measured with VRP before and after treatment, and the changes in Expiratory Volume (FVC), Phonation Time (PHOT), Mean Expiratory Airflow (MEAF), Mean Peak Air Pressure (MPAP), and Aerodynamic Efficiency (AEFF) with PAS. Videostroboscopy was performed to evaluate the regularity, symmetry, mucosal wave, and amplitude changes of both vocal cords before and after treatment. Voice therapy was performed once a week for each patient using the VAT program in a holistic voice therapy approach. The average number of treatments per patient was 6.5. In the MDVP, Jitter, Shimmer, and NHR showed statistically significant decreases (p < .001, p < .01, p < .05). VRP results showed that Hz and semitones in the frequency range improved significantly after treatment (p < .01, p < .05), as did PAS, FVC, and PHOT (p < .01, p < .001). The results for videostroboscopy, functional voice disorder, laryngopharyngeal reflux, and benign vocal fold lesions were normal. Thus, the VAT program was found to be effective in improving the acoustic and aerodynamic aspects of the voice of patients with voice disorders. In future studies, the effect of VAT on the same group of voice disorders should be studied. It is also necessary to investigate subjective voice improvement and objective voice improvement. Furthermore, it is necessary to examine the effects of VAT in professional voice users.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of participation of sports activities on job duties by analyzing job satisfaction of workers in rehabilitation hospital. From April to May 2015, 400 nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and administrative staffs were selected from eight rehabilitation hospitals in Busan Metropolitan City. Analysis was performed by t-test, frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha analysis, one-way ANOVA and Duncan tests. correlation analysis and regression analysis were conducted to obtain the following conclusions. As a result of the difference of job satisfaction according to participation form of sports activity, there was a significant difference in all factors such as exercise time, exercise frequency, sports item, and exercise period. As the exercise time and exercise frequency were higher and the athletic career was higher, Among the items, participation of aquarobic and aerobic was found to increase job satisfaction. Regression analysis showed that self - evaluation, job orientation, job commitment, and job satisfaction had positive effects among the five factors of job satisfaction. There is a significant difference.

This study researched into the left-right inclination of the rear foot at the lower limb joints, knee joint angle, angular velocity of the knee joint, angular acceleration and the max. Based on the analysis of kinematics according to the changes in the height of step box (6, 8, 10 inches) during step aerobics of female college students majoring in physical education. The findings of this study are as follows: Then angle of the knee joint decreased as the height of the step box increased the min. Angle was measured right before the right foot was on the step box, and the angle tended to decrease as the step box get heightened. The left-right inclination of the rearfoot angle according to the height of step box increased as the height increased. In the 'pull-up' stage during which the weight was loaded on the right foot the angle increased, while in the right foot stepping stage during which the right foot was on the ground, the left-right inclination of the rearfoot angle increased as the height of the step box increased. The angular velocity of the knee joint according to the height of step box started increasing when the right foot initially stepped on the step box and during the initial stepping section, the angular velocity decreased as the height of step box increased. The changes in angular acceleration of the knee joint according to the height of step box increased as the height of step box increased.
Modern structrues are being built using high-strength and light-weight construction materials resulting in decreased structural mass and damping properties. Rhythmic activities such as jumping, dancing and clapping during lively concerts can produce excessive vibration of steel structures. In this study, dynamic load factors that occur during lively concerts were presented through vibration test and real-time monitoring of an existing concert hall. The vibration test included modal analysis and jumping test according to the forcing frequencies and the number of participants. Dynamic load foactors were acquired directly from peak acceleration responses of each harmonics. Comparing NBCC 1995, the 3rd harmonic must be included in the design of concert halls. Dynamic load factors must be increased as a result of the vibration test.
This study was designed to investigate the effects of aerobic dancing and/or Ca supplemen-tation for six months on Ca metabolism in postmenopausal women. The subjects were healthy 29 women aged from 60 to 70 years old. They were divided into four groups ; placebo and Ca supplementation group with and without exercise. The amount of Ca supplemented was 500mg a day. The frequency of doing exercise was three times a week and it took 40 minutes to complete once all the course of aerobic dancing programmed for old women. The results were summarized as follows : 1) Bone density of the second lumbar spine and ward's triangle measured after experiment decreased significantly in control group as compared with pre-experimental level(P<0.05). On the contrary it showed a tendency to increase or maintained the pre-experimental level after experiment in other groups. 2) Urinary Ca/creatinine and P/creatinine ratios did not show any significant differences among groups before and after experiment. But urinary Ca/creatinine ration decreased signifi-cantly in Ca group after experiment(P<0.05) 3) Serum Ca and P levels did not show any significant differences among groups before and after experiment. But serum Ca level in creased significantly in Ca group after experiment(P<0.05) 3) Serum Ca and P levels did not show any significant differences among groups before and after experiment. But serum Ca level increased significantly in Ca group after experiment (P<0.05). 4) Serum PTH level also did not show any significant differences among groups before and after experiment. But serum calcitonin level decreased significantly in Ca group after experiment(P<0.05). The above results showed that it will be difficult to prevent degenerative bone loss without regular exercise and/or Ca supplementation in postmenopausal women having Korean usual diets.
