  • Recently, global warming, energy shortage, and environmental disruption have been serious problems in every nation. It became more and more important to reduce the emission of CO2 and to use of energy efficiently. Smart grid was also introduced using the rapidly developing information technology. It deployed the mutual communication concept between customers and the suppliers in the electricity supply. There were increasing demands to adopt the smart meter and to present incentive for efficient energy usage in many developed countries. The objective of this research was to develop the optimal real time pricing model which maximized the profit of the power retailer and reduced the usage of energy. The simulation study was given to show the usefulness of the model. Simulation considered the customer demand response rate and price elasticity rate. The price elasticity rate was compared in the condition of fixed value according to time and variable value according to the customers. The optimal price model could maximize the profit of the power retailer and reduce the energy usage of the consumers.

  • 인간과 인공생명체(Artificial Life Systems)가 서로 커뮤니케이션을 진행하기 위하여 인공생명체는 자신이 의도한 바를 음성, 표정, 행동 등 다양한 방식을 통하여 표현할 수 있어야 한다. 특히 자신의 좋아함과 싫음 등 자율적인 감정을 표현할 수 있는 것은 인공생명체가 더욱 지능적이고 실제 생명체의 특성을 가지게 되는 중요한 전제조건이기도 하다. 위에서 언급한 인공생명체의 감정표현 특성을 구현하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 음성 속에 감정을 포함시키는 방법을 제안한다. 먼저 인간의 감정표현 음성데이터를 실제로 구축하고 이러한 음성데이터에서 감정을 표현하는데 사용되는 에너지, 지속시간, 피치(pitch) 등 특징을 추출한 후, 일반적인 음성에 위 과정에서 추출한 감정표현 특징을 적용하였으며 부가적인 주파수대역 필터링을 통해 기쁨, 슬픔, 화남, 두려움, 혐오, 놀람 등 6가지 감정을 표현할 수 있게 하였다. 감정표현을 위한 음성처리 알고리즘은 현재 음성합성에서 가장 널리 사용되고 있는 TD-PSOLA[1] 방법을 사용하였다.

  • 과거 재료가공 위주의 산업시대에는 에너지가 산업의 가장 중요한 열쇠였으나 현대 산업사회에서는 부가가치를 지식과 정보로부터 창출해낸다. 그러므로 21세기에는 지식정보와 커뮤니케이션이 산업의 가장 중요한 열쇠가 될 것이다. 현대 기업환경의 변화는 과거와 다른 양상으로 나타나고 있고 한편 경영자들에게는 기업경영과 기업의 의미에 대해 새로운 패러다임을 요구하는 상황에 이르렀다. 이러한 변화 추세로 21세기를 예측해 본 학자들은 대표적인 조직모델로 소위 '가상기업을 내세우고 있다. 가상기업이란 특정 프로젝트가 끝나면 해체할 수 있는 전략적 제휴에 의해 임시로 형성되는 조직체이다. 이 논고에서는 현대 기업환경과 기업조직의 변화로 인한 가상기업 개념의 출현배경을 알아보고, 아직까지 애매 모호한 이 개념을 정의하고 그 모델을 제시한다. 그리고 정보기술의 응용과 공용 인터페이스의 활용으로 어떻게 이러한 형태의 가상공동체를 형성하고 관리할 수 있는지 고찰해보고, 21세기 지식경영시대에 가상기업형 조직의 경영을 위한 지식정보시스템 구축의 예로서 재단법인 충청지역정보원의 통합정보시스템을 소개한다.

Semantic Network Analysis on Teen's Perceptual Construct about Nuclear Power (고등학생들의 원자력 인식구조에 대한 언어 연결망 분석)

  • This paper investigated how high school students perceive on nuclear power applying semantic network analysis. The total number of 250 high school students in 6 metropolitan areas responded to the survey. Results indicate that the word which most frequently appeared is 'Nuclear plant' (87 times) following by 'Japan' (71 times), 'Danger'(59 times), 'Fukushima' (59 times), 'Radioactivity' (56 times), 'Energy' (47 times), 'Youngkwang' (37 times), 'Electricity' (30times), 'Chernobyl' (29 times), 'Explosion' (25 times). For students in higher acceptance level of nuclear 'Radioactivity' (25 times) was most frequently showed up following by 'Fukushima' (23 times), 'Energy' (21 times), 'Japan' (21 times), Nuclear plant' (20 times), 'Danger' (17 times), 'Youngkwang' (16 times). For student in lower acceptance level of nuclear, the word of 'Nuclear plant' (40 times) most frequently appeared following by 'Japan' (31 times)', 'Danger' (29 times), 'Fukushima' (23 times), 'Radioactivity' (17 times), 'Energy' (16 times), 'Youngkwang' (16 times), 'Chernobyl' (15 times).

  • This Paper discusses a theoretical approach to assess the acceptability on nuclear energy facili-ties and policies, that is associated with derivation of indicators influencing perception on the nuclear energy. Facets of the public perception include the necessity of nuclear energy, expected benefits and costs, possi-bility of control, nuclear energy risk sentiment level, and equality between present and future generations. It also identifies indicators directly or indirectly affecting the perception facets and classifies them into the knowledge-based and the trust-based. Knowledge on nuclear energy facility is acquired on the foundation of the understanding of fact, through information, education, PR, and experience the media. Meanwhile, trust on nuclear energy Policies as value judgment on reality is built through legitimacy, communication, compensa-tion, participation, and the media. Multi-dimensional analysis on nuclear energy acceptability will provide a key to developing a more realistic and mutually agreeable policies and solving the imminent issues.

  • Data center, not only the development of globally of cloud-based IT solutions, As the big data, education, use of development electronic equipment of communication means is increased, Demand of domestic and international data center has increased steadily. Due to the increase of data center demand, heat generation of server rack due to the development of IT equipment is also increasing continuously. Calculating heat value of the data center, because more than 99% of the power usage of IT server is converted into heat, the calorific value as the size and capacity of the server is larger will increase. In this paper, to center the cooling system of air-cooled, and research and development of air conditioning systems for energy reduction of data center, through performance analysis and simulation, it has been analyzed that there is energy savings.

  • The radical changes in the business environment have motivated firms to exert serious efforts in managing sustainable development. This study identified the effects of sustainable development on the perceived performance of firms from the viewpoint of the balanced scorecard. Independent variables include economic efforts (of efficiency and ethic of accounting and fairness), environmental efforts (management and energy control), and social efforts (consumer protection and contribution for local community). The result from the analysis of data collected in this research suggests that sustainable development efforts are the critical sources of the incorporated performance of firms. The consumer protection efforts of the local community determine the competitiveness of a firm in managing social responsibility and creating value and social activities. Efforts to reconsider efficiency determine the competitiveness of a firm, becoming the critical factors that determine sustainable performance. Energy control facilitates value creation for the environment through cooperation and harmonization with nature, resulting in sustainable business performances through the vitalization of practical establishments and operations. Sustainable management needs to meet international standards, cooperation, and harmony. These standards are based on the economic, environmental, and social efforts that enable firms to adopt sustainable management efforts that are suitable for their own systems.

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of institution trust on customer-orientation of hotel practician. Comparison between two types of governance structure demonstrated that the relationship between institution trust and customer-orientation were significantly different each other. As hypothesized, influence of organization trust on customer-orientation was much stronger in privately owned organizations than that of public ownership organizations. In the test of mediating effect of job engagement between two variables were statistically significant Based on the results from SEM model, we can suggest that improvement of institution trust need to be emphasized through the rational introduction of customer-oriented system, establishing priority task system according to individual business criticality, admission and enhance of fault. Empirical evidences from structural equation model support the governance type positively influence the job attitude in service organizations.

  • Housing environment for human beings has been diversified and more convenient due to the development of high technology and civilization brought by industrialization in the 20th century. In the 21st century, how to overcome the ecological limit of biased development-centered advancement, that is, how to preserve and hand over a clean and healthy 'sustainable environment' to our next generations has been one of the most-talked about issues. Environmental symbiosis means a wider range of environmental harmony from micro-dimensional perspective to macro one. The three goals of a environmentally friendly house are to preserve global environment, to harmonize with the environment around, and to offer a healthy and comfortable living environment. From the point of view of environmental symbiosis, houses should be designed to save energy and natural resources for preservation of global environment, to collect such natural energy resources as solar heat and wind force, to recycle waste water, and recycle and reduce the amount of the waste matter. Now, the environmentally-friendly house became a new social mission that is difficult to not only challenge but also realize without conversion to a new paradigm, ecologism.

Eco-innovation Policies and Policy Integration : The Finnish Case (환경친화적 혁신정책과 정책통합 : 핀란드 사례)

  • The integration of environmental and innovation policies is perceived to be essential in order to deal efficiently with environmental and innovation problems. This study analyzed environmental policy integration in Finnish technology policies in view of system transitions and policy integration. Finnish environment-innovation policy integration is assessed empirically by focusing on the policy strategies, implementation, and evaluation processes. Furthermore, this study compared Korea's environment-innovation policy integration with that of the Finnish experience, and drew up policy implications from the comparative study in order to come up with Korean contexts. Moreover, since green growth and eco-innovation are core issues in Korea today, it is important to ensure that system transitions and policy implementations take into account the various forms of policymaking, as well as political, organizational, and procedural activities.
