최근 나온 일련의 인물비평서들이 언어 폭력에 의한 비방으로 전락할 우려가 있다는 지적이 있다. 하지만 건전한 토론문화의 장을 열고 공개적인 비판과 평가의 장을 마련함으로써 성숙한 지식사회를 이루는 계기가 될 것이라는 시각은 설득력 있게 다가온다.

초거대 언어모델은 심화된 언어적 이해를 요구하는 여러 분야에 높은 영향력을 미치고 있으나, 그에 수반되는 편향성과 윤리성에 대한 우려 또한 함께 증대되었다. 특히 편향된 언어모델은 인종, 성적 지향 등과 같은 다양한 속성을 가진 개인들에 대한 편견을 강화시킬 수 있다. 그러나 이러한 편향성에 관한 연구는 대부분 영어 문화권에 한정적이며 한국어에 관한 연구 또한 한국에서 발생하는 지역 갈등, 젠더 갈등 등의 사회적 문제를 반영하지 못한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 ChatGPT의 내재된 편향성을 도출하기 위해 의도적으로 다양한 페르소나를 부여하고 한국의 사회적 쟁점들을 기반으로 프롬프트 집합을 구성하여 생성된 문장의 독성을 분석하였다. 실험 결과, 특정 페르소나 또는 프롬프트에 관해서는 지속적으로 유해한 문장을 생성하는 경향성이 나타났다. 또한 각 페르소나-쟁점에 대해 사회가 갖는 편향된 시각이 모델에 그대로 반영되어, 각 조합에 따라 생성된 문장의 독성 분포에 유의미한 차이를 보이는 것을 확인했다.

본 연구는 거시적 빅데이터 인문학과 미시적 언어 텍스트 검색 시스템을 구축하고, 이를 통해서 언어를 통한 문화의 역동적 변화를 시간적 순서에 따라 살펴보고자 한다. 연구의 최종적인 목표는 문화도 생물체처럼 변화하는 존재라 여기고 그 구성요소들을 연구한다는 뜻인 '문화체학(文化體學; Culturomics)'과 같은 '인문학 + 정보과학 + 사회과학' 등등의 다학문간의 융합적 연구에 있다. 이 시스템을 통해서 인류 역사의 기록인 텍스트 빅데이터를 통한 인문학적 성찰을 시각화하고 있다. 이러한 구글의 업적은 인문학과 정보기술의 융합을 통해서 인문학 자체의 지평을 넓히고, 사회과학을 변형시키고, 산업과 상아탑 사이의 관계를 재조정하는데 있다[1].

의복은 비언어적 상징으로서 의사를 전달하는 무언의 언어로 이용되어 사람들은 의복을 통해 자기를 나타내며 동시에 다른 사람을 지각하고 평가하게 되는데 이러한 역할은 현대사회에 와서 더욱 강조되었다. 따라서 소비자들은 이미지라는 감정적ㆍ주관적인 요소로써 의류상품을 평가, 구매하는 경우가 많다. 이에 본 연구에서는 여자 대학생을 대상으로 자신이 생각하는 자기 이미지에 따른 실제 착용하는 의복이미지, 추구하는 의복이미지와 의복구매행동을 조사하는 것을 목적으로 하며 의류산업체에서 의류상품개발을 위한 자료를 제공하고자 하였다. (중략)

This case study examines the experiences of an African American student's successful second language acquisition in Korea. There is an increasing number of multicultural families in Korea; but few research on African American students' second language learning. In the past, some American researchers have analyzed African American students as academic underachievers for learning and there is a scarcity of research on African American students' successfully acquiring a second language. With this qualitative research design, the researchers interviewed, and observed an African American girl named Mary. The researchers also interviewed Mary's mother, teacher, and peers about Mary's Korean language development. The results of this study revealed Mary's determined efforts to become a fluent Korean speaker with support from family, community and friends. Mary underwent unique social and systematic supports for her language development. This paper concludes with the educational implication for multicultural language learners in Korea and the possibility to diminish the common stereotypes of African Americans as underachievers.

Characters are composed of universal value system that can be applied to the oriental and western world, while there are based on the differences in general and cultural values distinguished by the said two worlds. In modern society expressed as the age of moving image, the products concerning the characters have played a role as a forerunner of the spread of culture in the formation of new markets, regardless of considering the relationship between animation industry in Korea and the counterparts in the USA and Japan. Furthermore, as a successful role model, eastern and western character industries have penetrated deeply into our daily lives, in terms of our cultural values. Based on the assumption that characters reflect the cultural values, This study investigates the meanings of bodily & linguistic expressions appeared in animation characters and reviews the method of enhancing their values and effectiveness as cultural assets.

The aim of copy writing is the communication between sender and receiver. The method of communication is language, which reflect the character of the culture of the community. And also the cultural difference owe to the linguistic difference. So, if we reflect this characters of the culture upon the copy of advertisement, it could be more effective. This is a study on Korean communicational expressions in the copy of advertisement. The copy is a communicational expression, the types of it differ the difference of culture and language. We can consider the type of Korean communicational expression as the expression of emotion, honors, authority, community, and passivity. In this study, we analyzed the real copy of advertisement, investigated how did the communicational expression appear in it and saw the result of analysis. we proposed next subjects in order to the more effective advertisement.

의복은 인간의 일상적인 필요에 따라 존재의 수단으로서 중요성을 가지며, 장식과 기능적인 디자인이 요구되는 예술의 한 부류로서의 성격을 갖는다. 이러한 의복의 유형은 가치관, 언어, 종교 및 다른 감정적인 면과 더불어 그 사회의 문화를 표현하는 것으로 파악될 수 있다. 시베리아 문화권의 의복을 살펴보면 인간과 동물세계의 우주론적 연계에서 자기 부족의 생존이 달려있는 동물의 영혼을 즐겁게 해줄 수 있도록 정성을 다하여 의복을 아름답게 사용하고 있는 것을 볼 수 있다. (중략)

기술과 사회변화의 관계에 대한 생각을 기록하고 확산시킬 영구적인 수단을 필요로 할 때면 , 나는 자연스럽게 책을 쓰는 것을 머릿속에 떠올린다. 물론 정보와 아이디어를 저장하고 전달하는 방법에는 다른 것들도 있다. 예컨대 정보를 한 개인의 기억 속에 저장했다가 이를 구두로 전달할 수도 있을 것이다. 사실 인류 역사 대부분의 기간 동안 정보의 저장과 전달은 바로 이런 방식에 의존했으며, 비문자 언어권 사회(nonliterate society)들에서는 아직도 그렇게 하고 있다. 본고는 미국 피쩌 대학의 루디 볼터 교수의 글이다
