In this study it is to suggest a support plan between public libraries and school libraries for elementary school reading paradigm shift Reviewing existing study contents, this is to examine elementary school reading education theoretically, and to present paradigm shift through analysis on elementary school children's reading status. By means of analysis on status of elementary school library and it's cooperation in Nowon-Ku, it is to suggest school library support project of the Nowon Children's Library as the model of support plan between public library and school library.

This study aims to analyze the trend of library use according to the expansion of public library infrastructure in Korea, and to search for new roles and services of libraries based on the results of the study. Using the statistical analysis, literature review and partially interview method, the number of borrowers and loans from 2009 to 2019 were analyzed. The result of the survey reveals that the number of public libraries increased by 61.3% during the survey period, while the number of borrowers decreased by 57.5%, and the number of book loans increased only by 18.2%. The result of the analysis claims that the causes of the decrease in the number of materials borrowers were an error in the process of inputting statistics and manipulating the number of book loans by the local library. The population of children and young adults decreased during the survey period, which led to a decrease in the number of children and young adult borrowers. The result of the study reveals that the increase in the use of public libraries in Korea, like other advanced countries, is stagnant. The following new roles and services are suggested for the development of public libraries: Libraries expand non-face-to-face services and electronic resources, and promote their use. Libraries expand cultural and lifelong learning programs further.

The purpose of this research is to document the current state of 'One Book, One City' community reading campaign (Hereafter called 'One Book' reading campaign), launched in 2003 in Korea, and the characteristics of the selected books. For this research, the homepages, news and reports of a total of 1,170 public libraries and their local government, and several major institutions and organizations related to reading and culture were analyzed with the research method of content analysis and literature review. Also, online catalogs of the National Library of Korea and the National Library for Children and Young Adults were examined to identify the characteristics of 729 titles and 1,179 volumes of books selected in 57 'One Book' programs, as of 2021. The analysis of 57 'One Book' programs and those selected books shows the selection of more than one books in different age groups in more and more 'One Book' programs, lack of consistency in themes of those selected books, and preference for young adult books, new publications and bestselling novels. This trend has weakened individual 'One Book' programs' concentration on one book or one subject, but helped invite a diverse group of people with various interests. More in-depth analysis and explanation of the process of book selection and its appropriateness with the stated goals of 'One Book' programs are needed.

In this study, the picture book reviews shown in Korean periodicals were analyzed to provide the developmental foundation for picture book reviews and expand the professional area of librarians as the producers of book review. Through the literature research and the Delphi Technique the desirable standard of book reviews was suggested, the contents in domestic book review mediums were analyzed for the rightness of describing based on the standard of the book review and henceforward the way of development was suggested. The result from analysis of book review showed that the outstanding book reviews should be more produced based on the desirable standard of book review and the evaluative statements should be developed more than the descriptive statements. Depending on the mediums the contents of the book review were different by the book reviewers' occupations, so the book reviewers should develop their professional knowledges in literature and art. Because the longer book review made the outstanding book review with the rightness of the desirable standard of book review, the certain quantity of book review should be needed and the role of librarians as the book reviewers should be further extended.

This study presents revision scheme of Korean Decimal Classification appropriate for classification of children-related materials, mainly centered on social science(300) and pure science(400) occupying the majority of children-related materials in school Libraries. Towards this goal, 1 have studied the development and use of classification system for children-related materials available in domestic and overseas school libraries or children's libraries, and researched elementary school 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students' degree of understanding on classification item terms and children-related materials terms used for KDC's social science and Pure science. Based on the results of analysis, f have presented revision scheme of Korean Decimal Classification item terms and class numbers for children-related materials.

The aim of this paper is to evaluate the text of six alternative versions of Korean fairy tale The Sun and the Moon. So the author took a textual bibliographical study of those versions in a comparative analysis of titles, backgrounds, characters. styles and functions of them. On the basis of this comparative analysis, the version of Hyo-Sun Eu was selected as a good text. In the version of Hyo-Sun Eu. if the helper In the story, King of Heaven represented in the form of Taoism would change into Heaven represented in the form of God, and the literary style change into the colloquial style, and the last scene that the Sun Brother turns to the Sun Sister and the Moon Sister to the Moon Brother would be removed, this version will be the best one.

The purpose of this study are to analyze tasks of the public librarians through Job Analysis ('DACUM') and to survey the demands of professional librarian (professional librarian types), As the results, In public libraries, technical services (classification, cataloging etc.,) is reduced, while reading, culture (continued education), and information service are increased. Also, we identified 5 types of professional librarian which is composed 4 function oriented types, and 1 user oriented types, is suggested : reading coach, cultural service librarian, external work librarian, computing support librarian, children librarian.

This study started from an understanding that a true welfare society requires voluntary 'sharing' of citizens in addition to the state's legal and institutional security and that to make the culture of sharing find a firm ground in our society, 'Philanthropic Education' is needed from the childhood. This study examined three issues; first suggested the need of philanthropic education and learning methods. secondly, to find out the present situations of sharing in Korea, the study looked into sharing cultures and philanthropic education in other countries. thirdly, the study explored ways of philanthropic education for elementary school students of Korea in literature based program methods. The structure of the program was designed as structured experimental group program. And the content of this program is composed of concepts, objects, process, institutions regarding philanthropy, and finally practical behavior of it. This study implies that discussions in taking root and revitalizing the philanthropic education to encourage prosocial behaviors of children by more efforts of family, community and school.

Recently, domestic interest in gender equality is increasing, and it is expected that the demand for the collection of children's gender equality in the library will increase due to these social changes. In this study, the top 10 public libraries in Korea were selected from the list of collections of gender equality books and collection / loan data presented by various institutions such as public libraries and 'children's library research groups'. For this purpose, 10 libraries in Korea were selected and analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively through the collection status of the gender equality collections, loan status, turnover, Bonn's use Factor, and Trueswell's 80/20 rule. Based on the results of this analysis, we would like to suggest some issues to be reflected in library development policy of the future.

The aim of this study is to classify the structure levels and types of the reading program in the secondary school library. The object of analysis is the practice case of the reading program included in 'Occupying School Library by 1318 Bookworms' for recently 10 years. There are 375 cases. According to the analysis result, most of the reading programs have three layers made up of 'blend title- reading activities- educational activities'. And there are classified into eight types (lecture, viewing, presentation, exhibition, making sth, debating, answering a quiz, experience) of the reading activities. The type of reading program depend on how to combine to the educational activities(reading, writing, listening, watching, speaking, making). This attribute of educational activities match up with modularity, completeness itself and organizing system. Through modular process of educational activities, it's possible to design their own reading programs based on the reading activity by adding, compensating other educational activities.
