World-widely, there has never been a greater need for people to access high-quality expertise about the effective and safe use of medications. Therefore, the profession of pharmacy should meet these needs of the times, as the demographic shifts have led to a situation where older adults now outnumber children, and polypharmacy is also a commonplace. However, the reimbursement system covered by the National Health Insurance (NHI) in Korea is still limited to the traditional dispensing and compounding role of pharmacist. To provide a take-home message to Korean pharmacy reimbursement system, we aimed to review and analyze the international trends in pharmacy remuneration systems. This is a comparative study between Korea, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Comparison was conducted by reviewing each country's policy and enforcement programs, as well as the related literature. Japan, the UK and the US systems remunerate diverse patient-centered pharmaceutical care services. The Korean pharmacy service fee is, however, narrowly focused on the traditional product-oriented pharmacy services. This study discussed the future direction of improving pharmacist reimbursement systems in Korea, by expanding professional pharmacy service coverage and diversifying fee schedule.

This study aims to present directions for improving information services of medical libraries in small and medium-sized hospitals by exploring the information use behavior and information needs of nurses, medical technicians, and pharmacists who had not been studied. The research design was conducted based on the reviewing theoretical background studies, and in-depth semi-structured interviews were conducted with nurses, medical technicians, and pharmacists working in small and medium-sized hospitals. The results show their information needs, information use behavior, and perceptions of the medical library in the hospital. Based on these results, this study suggests ways to improve the information services provided by medical libraries in hospitals. This research is meaningful because it was first to explore the information use behavior and information needs of health care professionals working in small and medium-sized hospitals.

뉴욕시 정부의 이민자들에 대한 다각적인 접근과 시도에도 불구하고 의료 서비스 제공자들과 대상자간에 언어적 장벽과 문화적 차이로 인한 상호협조의 어려움은 계속되고있다. 본 연구는 뉴욕시 보건국 소속 다민족 다문화 계층의 의료수준 향상을 위한 노력의 일환으로 실시된 프로젝트 중 일부이다. 뉴욕시의 한국 이민자들이 뉴욕시에서 증가하는 추세를 감안할 때, 이들의 의료시설 이용 및 서비스 수혜에 대한 기초 조사를 실시하여 한국 이민자들의 문화적 배경과 그로 기인한 건강 신념을 알고자하는 시 정부 차원의 요구가 이 연구의 배경이다. 즉, 한국이민 사회의 독특한 특성을 뉴욕시 정부 관련 의료서비스 제공자들에게 그 이해를 높여서 한국 이민자들의 미국에서의 의료서비스 수혜의 기회를 높이고자 한 것이다. 기초 관련 연구가 전무한 한국 이민자들의 건강관련 이슈를 다루기 위해 미국 센서스와 병원 입퇴원 기록 현황에 나타난 한국인 혹은 아시안의 의료보장 실태 등을 고찰하였고, 한국이민사회의 주요 기관의 대표들과의 면담과 이민자들을 대상으로 한 직접 설문조사로 자료를 수집하여 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 한국 이민자들은 한국어를 주요 언어$(83\%)$로 사용하는 것으로 나타나 문화의 동화율이 낮았고, 낮은 문화 동화율은 의료 서비스 접근도를 낮추는 요인으로 나타났다. 또한, 의료 보험이 없는 것$(55\%)$이 가장 큰 요인으로 지적되었는데, 이는 미국 직장에 적응하기 어려운 이민생활로 자영업을 주로 하는 생활 양태가 비싼 사 보험(private health insurance)을 사지 못하는 요인과 관련되어있다고 본다. 따라서, 주로 이용하는 의료 서비스의 종류에도 많은 제한점이 있어서, $60\%$가 한국인 의사를 선호하며, $31\%$가 한국인 약사에게 건강관리를 의존하는 것으로 나타나 미국사회의 의료 서비스 접근도는 극히 취약한 것으로 드러났다. 의료서비스 접근을 막는 주요 장벽으로는 비싼 의료비 $(53\%)$ , 의사소통장애$(37\%)$로 나타났다. 보건의료 서비스를 위해 주로 이용하며 생활의 정보를 얻는 통로로는 한국어 신문$(69\%)$과 한국어 TV$(61\%)$, 한국어 라디오 $(57\%)$로 밝혀졌다. 결론적으로 한국 이민자들에게 좀더 나은 의료 서비스 수혜를 위해서는 문화 친밀도가 높은 의료환경 조성 및 의료 서비스 제공자들의 이해를 높이는 일 등과 함께 한국 이민자들이 의료보험을 살수 있도록 한국어로 된 의료 서비스 정보를 제공하는 등의 노력이 필요할 것으로 생각한다.

This paper presents the content regarding electronic medical examination chart and data processing for efficient medical examination and fast treatment by realizing remote medical examination system of mutual conversation type among 3 parties(patient, doctor, pharmacist) on internet base, and establishment of database enabled system integration for efficient data processing in both on-line and off-line mode by interconnecting ASP and SQL on IIS 4.0 web server, consultation between patient and doctor, medical examination on off-line mode, transmission of prescription sheet to the pharmacist designated by patient, preparation of medicine, semieternal storage of medical examination data owing to storage and check of medical examination data, more accurate medical examination and prescription using this medical examination data by patient and doctor, and so on. And, data processing between doctor and pharmacist is differently performed based on class such as general member and charge member, and service access right pursuant to this is endowed, so that certification of each member must follow by all means.

Objectives: The objectives of this study were to assess oral health knowledge and behavior levels of community pharmacists as a step toward projecting them to play the role of oral health partners and to confirm pharmacists' willingness to participate in oral health education programs. Methods: t-test and one-way analysis of variance were performed to analyze the data, and correlation analysis was also performed. Results: The mean score for pharmacists' oral health knowledge was 7.29 out of 10. Of the 12 questions asked, the correct answer rate was highest for the question about the effect of smoking cessation on periodontal disease prevention; conversely, the correct answer rate was lowest for the question about the effect of taking medication for gingival infections on periodontal disease prevention. The mean score for pharmacists' oral health behavior was 2.97 out of 4 points. Of all oral health behaviors, brushing twice a day was the most practiced, whereas immediately visiting a dentist in case of an oral health issue was the least practiced. Pharmacists' oral health knowledge and behavior levels showed a weak positive correlation with their intention to participate in oral health education programs. Conclusions: Oral health education programs are necessary to improve community pharmacists' oral health knowledge and behavior.

Body insertion due to the recent development of sensor technology, the device is attached patients to receive medical services from anywhere, anytime environment is changing. Body insertion devices for the hospital, the patient's vital information attached personnel (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, etc.) to pass, however, when a problem occurs, a patient's information to a third party that can be exploited easily exposed. In this paper, we proposed signature authentication protocols mandate based on the patient's power of attorney from the center of the u-Healthcare services, hospital officials FormHelper third party disguised as a patient, the hospital patient information easily obtained from the officials to prevent. The proposed protocol, the patient's sensitive information to a third party, do not expose the patient's sensitive information to the random number generated by the u-Healthcare service centers and patients hash signature key to encrypt sensitive information of patients. From third parties to maintain synchronization between the patients and the hospital personnel in order to prevent patient information from being exploited illegally by the patient's vital information leakage can be prevented.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the patient education provided by the pharmacist for cancer patients receiving chemotherapy in the hospital. One time patient medication teaching including verbal instruction and written materials were provided by a pharmacist for cancer patients receiving chemotherapy on the first or second day of hospitalization. After providing medication teaching by a pharmacist a written survey was performed in order to measure the patient's satisfaction with the medication teaching and to evaluate the effectiveness of the patient medication teaching. This one-time patient medication teaching by a pharmacist was provided for 44 solid and hematological cancer patients (23 male, 21 female). The results of 27 written surveys completed by the cancer patients revealed that almost all cancer patients $(96.3\%)$ felt that medication teaching is a must in order to understand and accept the chemotherapy by cancer patients. In addition, almost all patients $(92.6\%)$ stated that they were extremely satisfied with the medication teaching provided by the pharmacist. The levels of understandings on the chemotherapy.

The World Anti-Doping Agency has made efforts to promote the safe use of medications and prevent doping in sports globally. International standards have been established and experts have advocate anti-doping education to athletes and healthcare professionals. Pharmacists are expected to participate in the pharmaceutical care activity of sports medicine in protecting the athletes while providing the spirits of clean sports. In this review, we described the pharmacists' roles and functions in six areas of sports pharmaceutical care: awareness, treatment, prevention, optimization, abuse, and monitoring. Sports pharmacists should be able to prevent inappropriate drug use and manage athletes' illness and injury using pharmacotherapy. Further pharmacists should actively involve to educate and counsel athletes, trainers, and healthcare teams. In conclusion, pharmacists are expected to play important roles in sports pharmacy, which is the emerging area of specialized pharmaceutical care services.
