With the rise of interest in sports and introduction of a five-day duty service, it is. increasing the desire for leisure and well-being recently. In this paper, 1 design and implement a baseball broadcasting system for PDAs to offer a sports broadcasting service using wireless network. The implemented baseball broadcasting system is composed of PDA clients, a relay reporter, and a relay server. Users can search and retrieve baseball-related information as well as relay broadcasting information using PDA.

Team standings in the regular professional baseball league should be determined based on a reasonable criterion; however, an unreasonable Japanese method is being used in Korea as of 2011. In this paper, we suggest a new method of computing the percentage of victories constructed by combining the advantages of the methods to determine team standings used in Korean professional baseball. We also have applied preexistent methods and suggested method to past and present Korean professional baseball data.

매일 게시되는 다양한 프로야구 관련 기사에는 경기 결과, 각종 기록, 선수의 부상 등 다양한 정보가 뒤섞여있어, 사용자가 원하는 정보를 찾아내는 과정이 매우 번거롭다. 본 논문에서는 문서 검색과 기계 독해를 이용하여 야구 분야에 대한 Q&A 시스템을 제안한다. 기사를 형태소 분석하고 BM25 알고리즘으로 얻은 문서 가중치로 사용자 질의에 적합한 기사들을 선정하고 KorQuAD 1.0과 직접 구축한 프로야구 질의응답 데이터셋을 이용해 학습시킨 BERT 모델 기반 기계 독해로 답변 추출을 진행한다. 야구 특화 데이터 셋을 추가하여 학습시켰을 때 F1 score, EM 모두 15% 내외의 정확도 향상을 보였다.

The purpose of this study is to explore changes in future sports by introducing baseball robot umpire. The study was conducted using qualitative research methods, and participants selected five baseball fans who were interested in baseball. The results of the study are as follows. First, baseball fans expressed displeasure with the frequent misjudgment in Korean Professional Baseball game, and doubted the fairness of the umpire's judgment. And repeated misjudgment of professional baseball has contributed to the decline in viewing and viewing of baseball. Second, baseball fans were positive about the introduction of robot umpire as a way to reduce bad calls in baseball games, and considered the accuracy, consistency, and recordability of robot umpire to complement their limitations. Third, the application of baseball robot umpire will serve as a basis for strengthening the fairness and efficiency of baseball games, which will positively change the image of sports. As a result, the introduction of robot umpire in baseball games could exert desirable influence on people and contribute to restoring the ethics of sports and strengthening fairness.

The purpose of this study was to find spectator's value cognition and expected-benefit factors on professional baseball sportstar. Purposeful Sampling method was used to select among fan club leaders and people who had watched baseball games over ten years 8 informants who watched more than 4 times in 6 baseball games in 2011 Lotte Card Professional Baseball League. Data collection relies on focus group interviews and in-depth interviews. Text analysis was attempted to adopt the A-R-C needs theory proposed by Thomson(2006) for spectator's value cognition and the metaphors for consuming by Holt(1995) for expected-benefit factors. The research summary is as follow: Spectator's value cognition on professional baseball sportstar were an object of entertainment-oriented value, a major figure for social relationship-oriented and an object of identical. Spectator's expected-benefit factors on professional baseball sports tar were confirmation of values and heroic orientation. Meanwhile, spectator who had entertainment-oriented value cognition on professional baseball sportstar expect heroic orientation, who recognize professional baseball sportstar a major figure for social relationship-oriented and an object of identical pursue confirmation of values.

The Pythagorean theorem for baseball based on the number of runs they scored and allowed has been noted that in many baseball leagues a good predictor of a team's end of season won-loss percentage. We study the convergence characteristics of the Pythagorean expectation formula during the baseball game season. The three way ANOVA based on main effects for year, rank, and baseball processing rate is conducted on the basis of using the historical data of Korean professional baseball clubs from season 2005 to 2014. We perform a regression analysis in order to predict the difference in winning percentage between teams. In conclusion, a difference in winning percentage is mainly associated with the ranking of teams and baseball processing rate.

Purpose: To evaluate the ultrasonographic (US) findings in both shoulders of asymptomatic high school baseball players and compare with healthy control. Materials and Methods: 42 individuals (age: $7.6{\pm}1.2$ years) participated in this study. We recruited two groups of high school male baseball players, 14 pitchers and 18 fielders without shoulder pain for recent 6 months as well as one control group of 10 untrained healthy high school students who were age-matched. Ultrasound measurements of thickness of the biceps and supraspinatus tendon and acromio-humral distance (AHD) at $0^{\circ}$ abduction were taken in dominant and nondominant shoulders. Results: On US examination, subacromial bursa effusion was observed in 7 of the dominant shoulders and in 2 of the nondominant shoulder of 32 baseball players and in none of the asymptomatic controls. The thickness of the biceps and supraspinatus tendons and AHD in both shoulders were significantly greater in the baseball players than in the controls (p<0.05). We also found that the biceps and supraspinatus tendon thickness and AHD of the dominant shoulder were significantly greater than the non-dominant shoulder in baseball players (p<0.05), but there were no differences between pitchers and fielders and between healthy controls. Conclusion: Subacromial effusion could be found even in the asymptomatic stage and the thickness of the biceps and supraspinatus tendons and AHD were significantly greater in the baseball players than in the healthy controls. Our data is useful reference guide for the ultrasonographic diagnosis of shoulder pathologies occurring in high school baseball players.

The main purpose of this study was to identify the current awareness and preference on the promotions of products in Korean professional baseball teams. For this study, the subjects were randomly selected where they have experienced purchasing any products in the Korean professional baseball stadium. Totally, 520 subjects were asked to answer the questionnaire relevant to the current awareness and preference of promotion of products. There were 11 questions for the current awareness and 14 questions for the preference on the promotion of products. The data gathered was determined within a frequency analysis, an independent sample T-test and one-way ANOVA tests. The results were discussed when the p-value were lest than .05. There were a couple of results found throughout this study. Firstly, there were no significant differences of the current awareness between gender. Secondly, there were significant differences of the preference on the promotion between age(p<.05). Especially, there were significant differences on the value of products and price between 20's, 30's and 40's groups. Thirdly, there were significant differences of the preference on the promotion between level of earing per year statistically(p<.05). In addition, there were significant differences on the price of products between 2000-2500 million won, 2500-3000 million won and 4000 million won groups. Consequently, the product promotion by the Korean professional baseball teams has to be more variety and structured.

This study analyzed the status of Korean professional baseball as TV contents utilizing ratings. For the purpose of the study, Korea professional baseball's relative status to other genres though ratings is investigated. For this study, ratings per minute for the whole cable TV channel viewer ratings in 2010 were analyzed, and the following is the result of comparing and analyzing ratings per genre and channel of cable TV. Among 11 genres, drama showed the highest rating, and entertainment, movies, kids, news/reports, sports, music, etc followed. Drama and entertaining channels showed the highest ratings and sports did not show any high ranking. However, when analyzing times for broadcasting Korean professional baseball separately, Korean professional baseball in both genre and channel showed the highest r ratings and it was significant statistically. Thus, it is considered that Korean professional baseball is the most valuable contents for the related cable TV times.
