선박 엔진용 고압 3/2-Way 밸브의 유동특성 연구 (A Study on the Flow Characteristic of High Pressure 3/2-Way Valve for a Ship Engine)

  • The 3/2-way valve supplies the high pressure air to ship engine for starting engine. In this paper, the high pressure 3/2 way valve for ship engine has the goal as reverse engineering by searching the fluid characteristic at this valve. The reverse engineering of 3/2-way valve is measured directly by Verier-calipers and is compared with 3D scanner. The fluid characteristic in this valve is used for a simulation method by ANSYS CFX 12.1. On the contrary, discs and the shaft are as the important components on numerical simulation by controlling the air flow at this valve. The fluid characteristics are seen to make high velocity and complicated vortex around the shaft. And the flow coefficient is calculated in order to apply for industrial field.

트렁크 래치의 베이스 플레이트와 접촉스위치의 최적화 (Optimization of Base Plates and Contact Switches in Trunk Latches)

  • Automobile trunk latches enable trunks to be opened and closed by a latch mechanism, which can be selectively positioned between a locked condition and an open condition. To maintain structural and electronic performance of the trunk latch, the latch needs to endure impact load that occurs in its open and close motion, and a dynamic mechanism needs to be electronically controled by a contact switch connected with a small DC motor. A base plate, which is the most important component relating to the structural safety, commonly uses a high stiffness material SAPH440-P with high manufacturing cost. In this paper, through structural analysis and optimization, production cost is significantly reduced by replacing SAPH440-P used in some region of the base plate with engineering plastic PBT GF 20%. The optimized contact switch reduces difference between distributed pressures of its two legs, which leads to improve the electronic performance of the trunk latch.

  • Maintaining proper tire air pressure is an essential element in ensuring vehicle safety. UHP Tires that boast of many safety features are increasing in the market. In particular, the development of "Self-Inflating Tire" technology is accelerating around the globe. Self-inflating tire refers to a technique for maintaining appropriate tire pressure. An internal regulator senses when tire inflation pressure has dropped below the set air pressure. The tire boosts air through the valve when rolling and compressed air enters into the tire. This procedure keeps the tire air pressure at an appropriate level and increases tire safety. Flow analysis of the internal tube is required to examine self-inflating tires. In this study, a method of tube flow analysis using the FSI Method is proposed. The valve system is also implemented to optimize the regulator and sensor.

  • In this study, the natural frequencies and mode shape of an external mounting pod were verified using the modal analysis and modal testing technique for a pod mounted on an aircraft. The procedure associated with the FE model building of an external mounted pod to predict the dynamic behavior of aircraft structures is described. The simplified FE model reflecting the results of the modal testing of a pod is built through the optimization and will be applied to the structural dynamic model of an aircraft which is used to verified the stability of vibration and flutter of an aircraft.

소형전기청소차(Small E-Sweeper) 프레임의 실험 및 수치해석을 통한 구조강도 연구 (An Experimental and Numerical Investigation of the Structural Durability of Vehicle Frames in Small Electric Sweepers)

  • In this study, the reliability of vehicle frames employed in small electric road sweepers was assessed through durability testing. The frames were tested under three conditions, whereby mechanical loads were applied to (1) the entire frame, (2) the front frame, and (3) the rear frame. The strain distributions in the loaded frames were determined through a combination of direct strain gauge measurements and supplementary numerical analysis. While subtle differences were observed between the experimental and numerical analyses, both methods successfully yielded comparable deformation patterns. Thus, the dependence of stress distribution and the state of the frame on loading conditions could be fully identified through our combined structural and numerical analysis.

LNG 운반선용 펌프타워의 구조해석 GUI개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on GUI Development of Structural Analysis of LNG Pump Tower)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 LNG 펌프타워 구조물의 전용 구조해석 GUI를 개발하는데 있다. 이 시스템은 펌프타워 구조물의 유한요소모델을 가장 적절한 형태로 만들어 주며, 가장 적합한 과정을 통하여 해석이 자동으로 수행되도록 해준다. 펌프타워 구조물은 LNG선의 가장 중요한 것 중의 하나이다. 펌프타워 구조물은 주로 카고탱크 안의 LNG가 채워져 있는 양과 선박의 운동에 의한 슬로싱(sloshing) 하중이 주가된다. 그 밖에 하중의 형태는 열, 관성, 자중 등의 세 가지에 대하여도 고려하였다. 이러한 하중들을 범용 유한요소해석 프로그램인 ANSYS에 적용하여 구조해석을 수행하였다. 미국선급협회(ABS) 내의 API Unity check를 통하여 구조부재의 강도 계산과 조인트(Joint)에서의 Punching shear unity 값도 검토하여 그 건전성 여부를 판단할 수 있도록 하였다. 상위의 과정을 새로운 형태의 GUI로 개발하였다. 펌프타워 전용해석 툴(tool)은 Tcl/tk언어로 개발되었다. 위의 모든 과정들이 GUI 성공적으로 적용되었다.

1톤급 상용차 시트 개발에 따른 FMVSS 210 Model 구조 강도 평가 연구 (A Study on the Structural Strength Evaluation for the Development of One-ton Grade Commercial Vehicle Seat Frame for the FMVSS 201 Model)

  • This study develops a seat with electric motor technology for a one-ton grade commercial vehicle. While applying electric motor technology, the FMVSS 210 seat frame strength test is also conducted to examine the product's weak parts. The seat frame strength test used the FMVSS 210 test standard and the ANSYS program was used to simulate the test and identify weak parts in the deformation and strain values. The test results showed that the cushion frame and slide rail connection bracket were fractured at loads of about 10,000 N. Similarly, the maximum stress and strain values in the bracket were obtained in the simulation results. On this basis, it was evaluated that the connection part bracket was a considerably weak part in the case of the first model, and changing the shape of the bracket and reinforcing the strength were required. In addition, the seat belt anchorage test results and simulation results were compared to assure their validity. In the comparison results, the error for each is about 5-10%. Therefore, the simulation performed in this study is considered to have produced reasonably accurate results.

간이 느타리재배사의 구조 안전성 평가 (Evaluation of Structural Stability of a Simple-typed Cultivation Facility for Growing Pleurotus ostreatus)

  • 유한요소해석 코드인 ANSYS를 이용, 폭 5.6m간이 느타리재배사를 3차원 강뼈대 구조물로 모델링하여 베드기둥 형태 및 파이프 규격에 따른 구조적 안전성을 분석하였으며 허용응력 설계법에 기초해 구조안전 여부를 판단하였다. 전산구조 해석 결과, 베드기둥에 따른 구조적 안전성은 안전적설심의 경우, 직립형 베드기둥 구조가 다른 베드기둥 형태보다 훨씬 높게 나타났으나 안전풍속 측면에서는 형태별 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 서까래 규격과 베드기둥 설치 간격에 따른 구조적 안전성은 본 연구에서 고려한 파이프 규격 범위에 있어서 안전풍속 측면의 경우, 베드기둥 설치간격보다 시설 외부적 요소인 서까래 간격에 더 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났으나 안전적설심 측면에서는 안전 풍속과는 반대로 서까래 간격보다는 시설 내부적 구조물인 베드기둥 간격이 더 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 베드기둥의 좌굴에 대한 안전성은 해석의 모든 경우에서 안전한 것으로 나타났다.

HSM의 썬루프 버페팅 수치해석 (Numerical Investigation of Sunroof Buffeting for Hyundai Simplified Model)

  • 현대자동차그룹은 HSM이라고 불리는 간략화된 차량 모델에 대하여 썬루프 버페팅 현상의 실험적인 조사를 시행하였다. 현대자동차그룹은 어떤 CFD솔버가 충분한 정확도를 가지고 썬루프 버페팅 현상을 예측하는지 조사하기 위해 상용CFD공급업체의 참여를 요청하였다. ANSYS Korea는 이번 조사에 참여하여 ANSYS fluent를 이용하여 HSM의 썬루프 버페팅에 대한 수치해석을 수행하였다. 먼저 유동장 검증을 위해 풍속 60 km/h에 대하여 썬루프가 닫힌 HSM모델에 대하여 해석을 수행하였다. HSM상부 면의 세 지점에서 속도 분포를 예측하였고, 이는 시험결과와 비교되었다. 그런 다음 고해상도 난류 모델인 DES를 이용한 해석이 전 풍속영역에 걸쳐 수행되었다. 버페팅 주파수와 버페팅 음압레벨이 예측되었고, 이는 시험결과와 비교되었다. 이를 통해 실제 차량 개발을 위한 CFD의 예측 가능성에 대하여 결론을 얻을 수 있었다.

기계 하중에 따른 PV모듈 변형 분석 (An analysis of the deformation of PV module under different mechanical loads)

  • Recently, PV module that the most important part of the photovoltaic system is more widened to lower manufacturing costs for module. However, the broad PV module results to the serious mechanical damage corning from installation circumstances such as snow, wind etc of snow and finally lead to the dramatic degradation of the electrical behavior of PV module. In this paper, 3 kinds of PV modules that consist of the different thickness and area of front glass and the diverse cross sectional structures of the frame are prepared for this experiment. The drooped length and electrical outputs of the PV modules are measured by means of applying 600Pa mechanical load to the PV modules from 1200Pa to 5400Pa base on the mechanical load test procedure of K SC IEG 61215 standard. The simulation data are obtained by the simulation tool as ANSYS and those are validate by comparing with the those experimental results figure out relations between the deformation and the constituent part of PV module.
