The Safety Consciousness and Residential Environment of the solitary senior citizen (독거노인의 안전의식과 주거환경 조사)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the connection between the safety awareness of elder who lives alone and the residential environment, and to find and derive improvement measures to enhance safety awareness through the frequency and type of accidents of the elderly living alone between them. This study surveyed a total of 67 senior citizens living alone in Sujeong-gu, Seongnam-si with the help of 22 life-care workers. A survey was completed using a safety awareness diagnostic tool. As a result of analyzing the accident experiences of the elderly living alone according to the residential environment, there were significant differences in the type of accident and the location of the accident. In addition, through a survey on the safety consciousness of the elderly living alone, we newly found out that there is a significant relationship between the time out and safety consciousness.

  • 이동식크레인은 높은 사망률에 기여하는 기계로 최근 6년간(2016~2021) 사고사망사례 중 건설업 2,574건을 분석한 고위험 요인(SIF)정보에서 이동식크레인의 사고는 총 61건의 재해가 발생하였다. 현장의 안전대책에도 불구하고 제대로 활용이 안되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 표준 리스크 평가 지수를 제시하여 사고예방에 기여하고자 한다

  • The construction industry has a higher disaster rate than other industries, so safety education and management are highly important. In order to reduce the construction accident rate, it is necessary to study the key safety management factors reflecting the characteristics of the construction industry, where there are differences in processes and manpower input for each process, and a small number of managers. Therefore, in this study, key safety management factors for each Process of construction were derived through cross-analysis between safety accident types and accident occurrence objects through disaster case data. The extracted key safety management factors are expected to provide useful information for safety education and supervision of construction sites.

Accident Models of Rotary by Vehicle Type (차량유형별 로터리 사고모형)

  • This study deals with the traffic accidents data from the Korean rotaries (circular intersections) to verify their characteristics affected by different vehicle types. This paper categorized the data into three groups based on vehicle types, and developed a set of accident models. The paper proposed two ZIP models and one negative binomial model through a statistical analysis for three vehicle types: automobile, truck and van, and others. The differences among those models were then statistically compared.

The Study on the Explanatory Factors of the Disabled Women's Safety in the Convergence Society (융복합 사회에서 장애여성 안전의 설명요인에 대한 연구)

  • This study aimed to explore the factors explaining the safety of disabled women in the convergence society and was surveyed 374 disabled women nationwide. This study examined the factors that explain the safety of disabled women from the accidents and crimes in terms of individual, familial, and community characteristics. Main findings are as follows: 1) the safety from accident was largely explained by the community type and social capital condition in characteristics of community domain. The material hardship in characteristics of familial domain and disability level in characteristics of individual domain explained the safety from accident also. 2) the safety from crime was largely explained by the material hardship in characteristics of familial domain. And the community type and social support condition in characteristics of community domain and the educational level in characteristics of individual domain explained the safety from crime. Based on the findings, we suggested practical and institutional implications to ensure the disabled women's safety.

  • For a holistic and precise assessment of safety benchmarks within a construction venture, it's paramount to delineate between the intrinsic features of the construction and its real-time, on-site performance metrics. In this study, we delved into genuine accident instances to discern the interplay between these construction attributes and on-ground performance determinants in relation to safety mishaps, employing the binomial logit analytical framework. Our scrutiny underscored that construction expenditure profoundly modulates the likelihood of fatal occurrences. Notably, variables pertinent to on-site safety protocols wielded considerable influence over both fatal mishaps and accidents implicating multiple personnel. These revelations intimate that while ascertaining the safety quotient of a construction initiative, a mere classification and recalibration based on fiscal dimensions can elucidate much. Yet, a comprehensive safety appraisal necessitates transcending quantitative indices, such as frequency of mishaps or casualty rates, to encapsulate the multifaceted interventions and strategies adopted at the construction locale.

  • 본 연구에서는 2009년부터 5년간의 해양사고 유형별 원인분석을 통하여 사고의 주요 원인에 대해 분석하였고, 국내외 해양안정정보 사례에 대한 분석 및 국내 항해환경정보 제공 활용의 문제점과 국외 사례로부터의 시사점 도출을 통하여, 사고저감에 대한 대책으로 항해환경에 대한 정보의 통합 필요성, 이용자 정보중심의 정보제공의 필요성 등을 제안하였으며, 항해관련 안전정보들의 통합을 통한 이용자 중심의 배분을 위한 가칭 '통합 항해환경 정보제공시스템'을 제안하였다.

  • 본 연구는 여성 안전에 대한 다양한 정책이 시행되었지만, 공공장소에서의 여성의 안전을 위협하는 사건과 사고는 지속해서 발생하고 있다. 최근 여성 대상 범죄, 특히 성폭력 범죄가 매우 높아지면서 공공장소에서의 여성 안전에 대한 문제가 대두되고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 여성 안전사고 발생 원인을 분석하여 그 원인을 해결할 수 있는 전략과 방안들을 개발하는 연구가 필요하며, 이를 통해 여성들이 공공장소에서 안전하게 생활할 수 있는 환경을 조성할 수 있다. 따라서 공공장소에서의 여성 안전 개선방안 연구는 매우 중요하다. 그러기 위해서는 첫째 범죄율을 분석, 공공장소에서 여성 범죄의 유형 및 발생 경로에 대해 분석하여 언제, 어디서, 어떤 유형의 범죄가 발생하는지 파악한다. 둘째 교육 및 정보 제공, 여성들에게 주변 위험 요소와 대처 방법, 보호시설 위치 등을 교육하고 정보를 제공하여 위험 상황으로부터 탈출하거나 대처할 수 있도록 한다. 셋째 시설 개선, 공공장소의 설계나 조명, 치안 등을 개선하여 여성들이 안전하게 사용할 수 있는 환경을 조성한다. 넷째 적극적인 관리, 공공장소에서 범죄가 발생하거나 이에 대한 우려가 있을 때, 적극적으로 주변 상황을 관찰하고 대처한다. 다섯 번째 커뮤니티 참여, 지역사회와 함께 여성 안전에 대한 캠페인을 전개하고, 지역주민들의 적극적인 참여와 지원을 유도하여 여성 안전의식을 확산시킨다. 이러한 방법들을 적극적으로 활용하여 여성들이 더욱 안전하고 편안한 환경에서 일상생활을 영위할 수 있는 사회적으로 안전한 여성 안전 문제에 대한 개선방안을 제시한다.
