This paper presents how to find proper operating points of FACTS devices to enhance the steady-state security level considering line contigency analysis. Three generic types of FACTS devices such as series controllers, shunt controllers, and series-shunt controllers are introduced and applied to moximize a security margin and to minimize security indices. Security indices related to line flows and bus voltages are utilized and minimized iteratively in this paper. Contingency analysis is performed to detect the most severe single line fault. In various load conditions, FACTS devices are tested to establish appropriate preventive or corrective action without generation re-dispatching or load shedding. The FACTS operation scheme is verified on the IEEE 57-bus system in a line-faulted contingency.

In order to protect an exchanged data, it is indispensable to establish a peer-to-peer key between the two communicating nodes. Pre-distributing keys among the nodes is unrealistic in Ad-Hoc network environment because of the dynamic nature of its network topology and the equal authority of its nodes. This paper presents a peer-to-peer key establishment scheme without pre-distributing keys in Ad-Hoc networks. The proposed scheme is based on the Diffie-Hellman key exchange protocol. Main idea is to prevent the falsification of Diffe-Hellman values using some elements of a hash chain. As a result, it is as safe as the underlying hash function against a man-in-the-middle attack. Simulation results have shown that the proposed scheme dramatically reduces the number of messages, and has relatively higher scalability, as compared with the key pre-distribution based scheme.

국가의 사회간접자본 시설확충 정책에 따라 교량공사의 건수는 계속 증가되어 오고있다. 교량공사는 수상공사, 육상공사로 나뉘고 다시 우물통기초, 교각, 상판공사로 분류될 수 있는데 상판공사 스틸박스거더, 콘크리트 박스거더 위에 설치되므로 물위에서 또는 땅 위에서의 높이가 수십m에 이르게 되어 추락했을 때 특히 위험하고 상판을 FCM공법으로 물위의 수십m 위에서 진행되는 경우가 대부분이다.(중략)

지속적인 고령화 추세에 따라 여성과 고령층의 노동력이 차지하는 비율이 높아지고 있어, 사용하기 편리한 소형농기계의 요구가 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서 사용한 소형 관리기는 정식 작업 전 경운, 정지 등 다양한 작업이 가능한 농기계이다. 본 연구에서는 소형 관리기에 토크 측정 시스템을 구성하였으며, 작업 중 가장 큰 부하를 받는 구굴 작업 부하를 측정하였다. 또한, 작업 시 가장 직접적으로 영향을 받는 PTO (Power Take Off) 기어의 부하 용량(load capacity)을 기어 해석 소프트웨어를 이용하여 분석하였다. PTO 기어의 부하 용량은 안전율, 피로수명을 대상으로 평가하였다. 측정된 부하 데이터는 변동 하중이므로, 부하 크기와 빈도수의 규칙적인 신호로 단순화하기 위하여 레인플로우 카운팅 방법을 사용하였으며, SWT (Smith-Watson-Topper) 방법을 이용하여 공칭 토크를 계산하였다. PTO 기어의 안전율은 ISO 6336, 피로 수명은 마이너 법칙(Miner rule)을 이용하여 계산하였다. PTO의 변속 단수 총 2단이며, 5개의 스퍼 기어로 구성되어 있다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 소형 관리기의 주행 속도 또는 PTO의 회전속도 증가에 따라 PTO에서 발생하는 평균 부하가 크게 나타났다. 또한 주행 단수 및 PTO 기어 단수가 증가할수록 기어의 안전율과 피로 수명이 감소하였으며, 특히 PTO 기어의 안전율은 접촉 응력에서의 안전율보다 굽힘 응력에서의 안전율이 급격하게 감소하였다. 소형 관리기의 PTO 수명은 주행 단수 2단, PTO 단수 2단 일 때 가장 적게 나타났다. 따라서 소형 관리기의 주행 속도와 PTO 회전 속도를 저속으로 작업하는 것이 PTO 기어의 수명에 더 유리할 것으로 판단된다.

Recently the primary water stress corrosion cracking(PWSCC) has occurred in the dissimilar metal weld region between pressurizer nozzle and safe-end in nuclear power plants(NPPs). As material of the pressurizer nozzle, SA508 Gr. 3 low alloy steel was used. F316L stainless steel and Alloy 82/182 were used as safe-end and weld metal, respectively. Although mechanical properties are needed for evaluation of the structural integrity against flaw in the material, material specification and standard don't supply those properties. Therefore, the present study conducted tensile and fracture toughness tests on SA508 Gr.3 and F316L stainless steel at ambient temperature and operating temperature of NPPs and reported the tested results.

ITER AC/DC 컨버터는 토카막 시스템의 안전성 확보를 위하여 단락 조건에서의 높은 내구성이 요구된다. 단락시험은 크게 컨버터 출력단 단락시험과 컨버터 내부 단락시험으로 구분된다. 컨버터 출력단 단락시험은 단락시험 조건에서의 전력장치의 내구성과 브릿지 스위치의 전류 분배특성 및 Bypass 스위치 동작 특성을 확인하기 위한 것이며, 컨버터 내부 단락시험은 기계적 구조물 안전성 검증을 위한 것이다. ITER CS AC/DC 컨버터의 단락시험은 전기연구원에서 시행되었으며 본 논문에서는 컨버터 출력단 단락시험 결과를 소개하고자 한다.

미국에서 운영하고 있는 위성항법시스템, GPS는 항해용으로 이용하고 있는 필수적 PNT 인프라이다. 이런 이유로 우리나라를 비롯해 전 세계 대다수의 국가가 해사안전 확보를 목적으로 GPS 측위정확도 향상 및 신뢰도 보장을 위해 GPS 의사거리 보정정보를 다양한 방법으로 선박에 제공하고 있다. 본 논문은 현재 제공되고 있는 GPS 의사거리 보정정보의 특성을 분석함으로써 현재 규정된 보정정보 유효기한의 적절성에 대해 알아본다. 또한 분석한 결과를 통해 GPS 의사거리 보정정보의 변화량 제공의 필요성에 대해 논하고, 관련한 최근 기술동향에 비추어 앞으로의 전망에 대해 살펴본다.
