  • We confirmed that the children affected by child abuse, which has recently become an issue in the counseling field, were the highest in the ages of 10-17, and the number of occurrences by parents was the highest. We tried to understand the hardships of parents with adolescent children while conducting counseling and parental education to understand the difficulties of parenting experiences that play an important role in growing children. Therefore, this study attempted to analyze the subjective perception types and characteristics of each type of parenting experience of parents with adolescent children using the Q methodology. After forming a Q population and extracting the 33-question statement of the Q sample, the P sample was classified into the Q sample of 35 parents with adolescent children, and the perception type analysis was conducted with the QUANL program. As a result of our study, it was found that Type 1 was the unconditional love and understanding type, which was recognized as a process of endless understanding of children, Type 2 was the "reflection and change type," which recognizes empathy with children, communication, and parental reflection and change, Type 3 was the "learning and psychological independence assistance type," which recognizes that children should be psychologically independent and grow, and Type 4 was the "regret and identity confusion type," which recognizes regret about raising children in childhood and identity confusion as parents. Our study is meaningful in that it classified the subjective perception structure of parenting experiences perceived by parents with adolescent children by type. It is expected that this subjectivity study on parenting experiences will be used as basic data for parental education and parental counseling to raise adolescent children.

The consumer typology approach was applied based on their negative emotions, and they were categorized into two distinct groups: unstable emotion group(n=903) and stable emotion group(n=1,107). We used the panel data of Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey. Data of a total of 2,010 participants were analyzed. The results of this study are as follows. Children from low economic backgrounds experienced sex education at school and community child centers rather than at home. Second, both boys and girls replied that sexual abuse was due to the attacker's fault but more girls than boys attributed the fault to themselves. Third, girls' sex knowledge grade was higher than boys. Fourth, boys showed a more open attitude toward heterosexual dating, and children with a low economic background showed a higher sex drive. Fifth, a high sex drive was related to low sexual knowledge, openness in dating and high sexual ethics.

Methods: The questionnaire was filled out by one hundred ninety 119 EMTs with paramedic or nurse licenses. The questionnaire consisted of 53 items with responses based on a five-point scale. Data were collected from July 10 to July 31, 2018, and were analyzed using IBM SPSS version 24.0 software. Results: The average score for 119 EMT's perception of child abuse was 3.76. The average score for positive attitude towards mandatory reporting was 3.63, and the average score for negative attitude towards mandatory reporting was 2.63. The average score for perceptions of the mandatory reporting system was 3.50. There was a significant positive correlation between perception of child abuse and positive attitude towards mandatory reporting (r=.244, p=.001), between perception of child abuse and perceptions of the mandatory reporting system (r=.209, p=.004), and between positive attitude towards mandatory reporting and perceptions of mandatory reporting system (r=.336, p=.000). Conclusion: Systemic educational programs for 119 EMTs on perception of child abuse and reporting are needed. It is very important to establish institutional strategies such as the use of checklist for suspicion of child abuse, procedural simplicity after reporting, and protection of reporter information.

Methods: Data were collected from the paramedic students after consent to this study through online. The period of data collection was from July 10 to August 2, 2023 and 142 questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS 27.0 program. Results: 79.6% of the subjects knew who was required to report child abuse, but only 46.5% knew the reporting agency, and 30.3% knew the reporting procedure. Additionally, 83.8% were willing to report child abuse when discovered. Awareness of child abuse was 4.58±0.29 points out of 5. The reporting obligation attitude toward child abuse was 3.53±0.74 out of 5. Awareness of child abuse was determined by whether one was required to report child abuse (p<.05), whether one was aware of the reporting procedure (p<.05), and whether one was willing to report child abuse (p<.05), there appeared to be a significant difference. Attitude toward reporting obligation regarding child abuse was determined by gender (p<.05), whether one was aware of the obligation to report child abuse (p<.05), and willingness to report upon discovery of child abuse (p<.01), it was found that there was a significant difference. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop realistic educational content that can be linked to suspected abuse sites in hospitals and out of hospitals so that students who will become paramedics in the future can play an active role as mandatory reporters of child abuse.
