  • 오늘날 기계공업 현장에서 심공드릴가공은 광범위한 응용과 양호한 생산성으로 인하여 그 요구가 증가 되고 있다. 그러므로, 본 연구는 난삭재인 SKD11고합금공구강을 여러가지 절삭조건하에서 BTA드릴가공하여 얻은 실험결과(표면조도, 진직도, 진원도, 원통도, 구멍확대량, 등)를 다루었으며 이들의 이론적 배경과 실험을 비교 분석하였다. 프레스금형 부품과 기계부품으로 사용되고 있는 SKD11고합금공구강은 기계가공이 힘든 난삭재료로서 그 어려움이 크므로 본 연구는 생산현장에 보다 나은 심공드릴가공결과와 관련 지식을 제공 할수 있다고 사료된다.

Deep Hole Drilling by Using Periodical Change of Feedrate (주기적 이송속도 변화를 이용한 심공드릴가공)

  • Experimental study of drilling for duralumin A2024 was conducted with intermittently accelerated and decelerated feedrate. It is achieved through a programmed periodic increase and decrease in the feedrate using a machining center. The following experimental results were performed with the objective of solving chip to disposal problems. In conventional drilling of aluminum, long continuous chips are produced with winding around the drill and causing difficulties in eliminating chips from the cutting zone. In order to acquire the basic data necessary to regulate the chip profile, the relationship between cutting variables and chip shape was investigate. The following conclusions are established from the experimental results. At a suitable feed fluctuation ratio, intermittently decelerated feed drilling proved successful in braking chips to appropriate lengths while maintaining stable cutting. Thus, it is an effective method for improving chip disposal. The amplitude of the dynamic component of cutting force in intermittent feed drilling is influenced by the feed fluctuation ratio.

  • 트위스트 드릴을 사용한 구멍은 구멍가공중 가장 경제적인 방법중의 하나이다. 그러나 트위스트 드릴에 의한 가공은 길이에 대한 구멍경의 비가 한정되어 있다. 깊이/직경(L/D)의 비가 통상 5배 이상의 경우의 적절한 가공방법은 거압력의 절삭유를 공급할 수 있는 공구를 사용하여 가공하고 있으며, 그 대표적인 방법은 Long drull, Gun drill, BTA drill 및 Ejector drill등이 있다. 이들 방법중 BAT drill은 다른 가공공구에 비하여 우수한 가공능율을 갖고 있다. 그러나 BAT드릴에 의한 심공가공은 1회 가공에 의하여 요구되는 품질을 만족시켜야 함으로 이에 대응한 연구가 요구되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 BAT드릴링 시스템에 BAT drrill을 사용하여 심공가공할때 공작물의 형상 즉 표면 거칠기 및 지원도등 미치는 영향에 대하여 실험을 통하여 분석하였다.

  • BTA drilling among the deep hole drilling is using for the improvement of productivity and the high-efficient working. As the deep hole drilling with BTA drill is satisfied with the required quality by one-pass processing, more deeper hole depth, the accuracy of materials is affected by bending vibration and cutting speed. This paper is studied that the shapes of material (surface roughness, roundness) is affected by cutting condition compared actual roundness with lobe shape with modeling of computer through the experiments in the BTA drilling system with BTA drill.

  • The BTA(boring and trepanning association) deep hole machining has an increasing demands because of its wide applications and its good productivity. The main feature of the BTA tools is that the tool cutting edges are unsymmetrically located on the boring head. This provides a stabilizing cutting force resultant necessary for self guidance of the boring head. The BTA tools are capable of machining for having a large length to diameter ratio in single pass. A study of the accuracy and surface finish of holes produced would reveal quite useful information regarding the process. This study deals with the experimental results obtained during BTA machining on SM55C, SM45C steel under differnt machining conditions.

  • A compact gun drill machine was developed to improve productivity and economical efficiency for small and medium enterprise tool makers. Gun drilling works are mainly using at molding, automobile, aircraft industry and special tool makers to make deep holes. As gun drill machines are very expensive and big burden for small tool makers, so that works used to execute through outside orders but it was required lot of cost too. Most of gun drill machines are providing for high volume and large capacity enterprises. In order to use for small and medium enterprises that compact gun drill machine was designed and developed. It could be improved product quality, productivity and manufacturing cost for small and medium enterprises by using this machine.

  • The gundrill is capable of machining for having large length to diameter ratio in single pass. The techniques of gundrill and gun boring began developing in the late 18th century with the need for more accurate bores in rifle, cannon, machinery part and marine part etc. The main feature of the gun drilling provides a stabilizing cutting force resultant necessary for self guidance of the drill head. A study of the accuracy and surface finish of holes produced would reveal quite useful information regarding the process. The thesis deals with the experimental results obtained during gun drilling on marine part materials for different machining conditions.
