A Study on Problems and Solutions of Fire Investigation in Korean Fire Administration (화재조사 및 수사 업무의 실태분석과 개선방안)

  • Fire investigation to examine ignition and combustion enlargement etc., to assess fire damage and to investigate a fire suspect, is used as a valuable data for better fire suppression and fire prevention police. Fire investigation is divided in to fire-cause investigation, fire-damage investigation, and fire-criminal investigation. At present, fire-cause investigation is lacking In scientific technology; specially is deficient in accurate damage assessment. And considering fore criminal investigation, since the police lacking in specialty on fire take exclusive charge of fire criminal investigation upon general investigation, it is difficult to investigate fire criminal effectively. Finally deficiency in fire investigation operates as very big blind-spot in fire safety having important axis in social safely; the loss is shifted on nation's shoulder. To solve those problems, legal, institutional, operational preparation is urgent. And so, this study tried to stabilize specialty of fire-fighting to offer more active, qualitative fire administration service, and to contribute to public peace and welfare by grasping problems after diagnosing Korean fire investigation and proposing the solutions.

A Study of Flame Visualization of the APU Gas Turbine Engine Sector Combustor (APU용 가스터빈 엔진 분할연소기의 화염가시화 연구)

  • In order to see flame behavior in the annular reverse gas turbine combustor, sector combustion test was performed. Ignition test by using torch ignition system was carried out at various combustor inlet velocity and air fuel ratio. Also, flame blow out limit was measured by changing fuel flow rate with constant air mass flow rate. In test results, stable ignition is possible at air excess ratio of 6 and this limit is gradually increased with combustor inlet velocity. The minimum blow out limit is about 4 at 40 m/s of combustor inlet velocity. This blow out limit is also increased up to about 10 with increasing combustor inlet velocity. Test result shows that lean blow out limits are increased with air velocity. The highest blow out limit was found at the combustor inlet velocity of 65 m/s.

True History of the Kelly Gang and the Politics of Memory (『켈리 일당의 실화』와 기억의 정치학)

  • Ned Kelly, the bushranger, is a legendary figure of special significance to the Australians of today. The Aussies' affection for this "horse thief" derives from the fact that the latter has become a national ideal of the "battler" who does not give up in the face of hardships. Peter Carey's is considered to be one of the "national narratives" that not only heroize but also give voice to the Irish rebels who fought for "fair go" in the colonial Australia. However, this paper asserts that there are more to the novel than merely paying a tribute to the national icon, especially when the novel is examined in the context of the "republic controversy." In 1999, the preceding year of the novel's publication, Australia had a national referendum on the issue of whether or not to secede from the Commonwealth. Due to the procedural manipulation of the royalist ruling party, republicanism was voted down. At the time when the majority of Australians were irate with the result of the referendum, Carey's retelling of the supposedly anti-British rebel failed to promote the lost cause. This paper investigates how the narrativization of the legendary figure, whose anti-British and anti-authoritarian attitude can be easily translated into the cause of republicanism, came to appeal to the general reading public. In so doing, this paper compares Carey's novel with the historical Kelly's two epistles: Jerilderie and Cameron Letter. This comparison brings to light what is left out in the process of Carey's narrativization of the rebel's life: the subversive militant voice of an Irish nationalist. The conclusion of this paper is that the possibility for Kelly's life to surface again in the 21st century as a sort of counter-memory is contained by Carey through its inclusion in a highly personalized domestic narrative.

Square and Court -Social Imagination of Korean Cinema in Blacklist Era (광장과 법정 -블랙리스트 시대 한국영화의 사회적 상상력)

  • This paper aims to examine to the political unconsciousness of social movies that have caused social repercussions in the 2010s, and to study the social imagination of Korean films at that time. Korean Movies such as (2013), <1987>(2017) and (2017) reflect the ethos of civil society based on common sense and justice. The epic structure was the same as that of ordinary citizens, who move toward a public space (court, square) after awakening their political correctness. More than anything else, the fact that such films were based on "a historical fact" could have been a strategy to avoid censorship in the era of the blacklist. In these social films, courts and squares have become places for democracy. The conservative government of the time was tired of anti-government resistance and the politics of the square. Thus, films from directors and producers blacklisted were difficult to produce. That's why the court in the movie during this period could become a symbolic proxy for the "legitimate" reenactment of the politics of the square, which was subject to censorship and avoidance by the regime of the time. Meanwhile, the square has gradually become the main venue for political films that advocate "historic true stories." The square of the 1980s, which appeared in the movies, will be connected to the Gwanghwamun candlelight square that audiences experienced in 2017. Furthermore, it was able to reach the concept of an abstract square as an "open space for democracy." At the foundation of these works is a psychological framework that equates the trauma of the failed democratic movement of the 1980s to the trauma of the failed progressive movement of the 2010s. Through this study, we were able to see that social political films in the 2010s were quite successful, emphasizing "political correctness" and constitutional common sense. But they also had limitations as "de-political popular films" that failed to show imagination beyond the censorship of the blacklist era.

Effect of Ion-nitriding on Fatigue Strength (피로강도에 미치는 이온실화처리의 영향)

  • The fatigue limit of an ion-nitrided steel was investigated experimentally and analytically. It is found that fatigue limit can singificantly be increased by ion-nitriding, and that the case depth is the most important parameter which determines the fatigue limit. The data indicate that fatigue limit increases with the case depth as well as the surface hardness of the nitrided steel. The fracrographs of the fracture surfaces taken by a scanning electron microscope show that the fisch-eye is located at the subsurface of failed specimens. Assuming that crack propagates from the subsurface inclusions, an analytical model is proposed to predict the fatigue limit. Taking into account the stress distrbution of a nitrided specimen, fatigue limit is predicted as a function of the case depth. The proposed semiemprical formula agrees satisfactorily with the experimental data obtained from rotating beam fatigue testing.

The Effects of Vitamin K Supplements on Serum Osteocalcin Caraboxylation in Postmenopausal Women (폐경후 여성에서 비타민 K보충이 혈중 오스테오칼신의 카복실화에 미치는 영향)

  • Many studies show that the bone loss in postmenopausal women is closely related with status of vitamin K. The purpose of this study is to observe the effects of the vitamin K supplements on the carboxylation of serum osteocalcin in postmenopausal women. Twenty-four healthy postmenopausal women were recruited for the double-blind controlled study. Before and after daily administration of 1.0mg of phylloquinone for one month, the levels of serum vitamin K, osteocalcin, undercarboxylated osteocalcin were measured. Daily intake of vitamin K was also calculated. After the 4-weeks of supplements of 1.0mg/day of vitamin K, there were no significant differences for the levels of serum vitamin K, osteocalcin, and ucOC between the experimental and placebo groups. In this study, it was not found that the supplements of vitamin K to the postmenopausal women had any positive effects on.

  • Engine misfire causes of the negative effect on exhaust emission such as HC, CO, and NOX . Moreover, it causes damage to the three-way-catalyst(TWC) system permanently. The crankshaft velocity fluctuation(CVF) method has been applied for the real cars as misfire detection system usually, which utilizes the crank angle sensor input to calculate the variation of the crankshaft rotational speed. But this approach has the limit due to the fact that three could be problem under certain engine condition like as deceleration or high speed condition . Therefore the development of new methods are requested today. This study introduced the new method of misfire detection using breakdown voltage(BDV) characteristics between spark plug electrouds.

  • 모바일 환경으로 업무 환경이 변화함에 따라 발생할 수 있는 요구사항인 탈 사무실화, 기기의 다양성, 실시간성을 만족하면서 보안성을 유지하기 위해 context aware RBAC 모델이 적용되고 있다. 하지만 기존의 상황인식 역할기반 접근제어 모델은 주변 사용자에 대한 고려가 없고 사용자의 단독적인 정보 유출이 가능하다는 단점을 가지고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해 본 연구에서 제안하고 있는 사용자간의 관계를 고려한 상황인식 역할기반 접근제어 모델에서는 기존의 기법에서 고려하지 않은 주변 사용자의 역할 및 관련된 사용자와의 관계를 고려하여 위치와 시간만으로 제어되지 않는 정보에 대한 유출을 방지한다. 이 모델을 적용할 경우 주변사용자의 권한에 의해 사용자의 권한이 통제되므로 문서에 대한 내부자의 편법적인 사용을 방지하는 것이 가능하고 실시간으로 문서에 대한 권한을 부여할 수 있다. 또한 문서에 대한 권한을 모두 부여할 경우와 동일한 업무 효율성을 가지면서 필요하지 않은 시간에 발생할 수 있는 보안 위협을 방지할 수 있다.

The detection of IC engine's Mutiple misfire using Walsh transform (월쉬변환을 이용한 IC엔진의 다중실화검출)

  • This paper presents the detection of internal combustion engine's multiple misfire. The primary cause of air pollution by vehicles is imperfect conbustion of fuel. The CARB(California Air Resources Board) have imposed regulations for the detection of misfiring in automotive engines. The OBD-II regulations requir that misfire should be monitored by the diagnostic system, and that the goal of OBD-II is to alert the driver to the presence of a malfunction of the emission control system. Present invention based upon measurements of engine roughness as derived from crankshaft angular velocity measurements with special signal processing method. Crankshaft angular velocity signals are processed by walsh-fourier transform. Experimental work confims that it's possible to apply walsh-fourier transform for the detection of multiple misfires in no-load idle and road testing.
