Dynamic Routing Algorithm based on Minimum Path-Cost in Optical Burst Switching Networks (광 버스트 스위칭 망에서 최소 경로비용 기반의 동적 경로배정 기법)

  • Optical burst switching networks usually employ one-way reservation by sending a burst control packet with a specific offset time, before transmitting each data burst Same. Due to such a Property, burst-contentions occur when multiple bursts contend for the same wavelength in the same output link simultaneously in a node, leading to burst losses, eventually degrading the quality of service. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a dynamic routing algorithm using minimum local state information in order to decrease burst-contentions. In this proposed scheme, if burst loss rate exceeds a threshold value at a certain node, a new alternative routing path is chosen according to burst priority and location of burst generation, which enables the contending bursts to detour around the congested link. Moreover, for reducing the effect of sending bursts on the primary path due to the alternative path, we also apply a minimum path-cost based routing on link-cost concept. Our simulation results show that proposed scheme improves the network performance in terms of burst loss probability and throughput by comparing with conventional one.

  • Ad hoc network은 stationary infrastructure의 도움 없이 이동 노드들이 필요 시 network 형태을 구성하여 통신이 이루어지게 하는 network으로 ad hoc network 환경에 맞는 다양한 라우팅 프로토콜들이 개발되었고 크게는 table­driven, on­demand 방식으로 나눌 수 있는데 on­demand 방식의 AODV 프로토콜은 routing overhead가 적다는 장점이 있는 반면 single path로 data forwarding을 진행하여 중간노드의 이동에 의한 path가 broken되는 경우 local routing을 하거나 새로이 source­initialed route rediscovery을 수행하여 전송 delay 및 control traffic overhead 등을 높이는 결과를 발생 시켰다. 본 논문은 single path로 구성되는 AODV 프로토콜의 route failures시 문제점을 보완한 Associativity Based Redundancy path Routing(ABRR) 및 Alternate Redundancy path Routing(ARR) schemes을 제안한다. 첫째, ABRR은 main path상에 있는 각 노드들은 associativity based stable node 정보를 이용하여 path broken 이전에 local redundancy path을 구성하여 path broken시 local routing없이 route을 복구할 수 있게 하고 둘째, ARR은 source­initialed route discovery에 의해 alternate path을 구성하여 ABRR 그리고 local routing에 의해 main route recovery 실패 시 alternate path을 main path로 전환하여 control traffic overhead 및 전송 delay을 줄이게 한다.

  • This paper presents the routing and wavelength and timeslot assignment problems for a circuit-switched time division multiplexed (TDM) wavelength-routed networks. In this paper, we propose an efficient distributed control protocol for establishing lightpath dynamically. The protocol uses backward reservation to reduce the chance of blocking. We use aggressive reservation method with usable multiple channels and select only one in multiple channel. We show through simulation that the proposed protocol improves the success rate in TDM-based lightpath establishment and the proposed aggressive reservation method improve blocking probability with appropriate reservation channel count.

Void-less Routing Protocol for Position Based Wireless Sensor Networks (위치기반 무선 센서 네트워크를 위한 보이드(void) 회피 라우팅 프로토콜)

  • Greedy routing which is easy to apply to geographic wireless sensor networks is frequently used. Greedy routing works well in dense networks whereas in sparse networks it may fail. When greedy routing fails, it needs a recovery algorithm to get out of the communication void. However, additional recovery algorithm causes problems that increase both the amount of packet transmission and energy consumption. Communication void is a condition where all neighbor nodes are further away from the destination than the node currently holding a packet and it therefore cannot forward a packet using greedy forwarding. Therefore we propose a VODUA(Virtually Ordered Distance Upgrade Algorithm) as a novel idea to improve and solve the problem of void. In VODUA, nodes exchange routing graphs that indicate information of connection among the nodes and if there exist a stuck node that cannot forward packets, it is terminated using Distance Cost(DC). In this study, we indicate that packets reach successfully their destination while avoiding void through upgrading of DC. We designed the VODUA algorithm to find valid routes through faster delivery and less energy consumption without requirement for an additional recovery algorithm. Moreover, by using VODUA, a network can be adapted rapidly to node's failure or topological change. This is because the algorithm utilizes information of single hop instead of topological information of entire network. Simulation results show that VODUA can deliver packets from source node to destination with shorter time and less hops than other pre-existing algorithms like GPSR and DUA.

  • For the detection of objects in the videos, there are various ways that use the frequency transformation. In the videos, the images of objects could be changed slightly. Object detection methods using frequency transformation such as ASEF and MOSSE have the ability to renew the detection filter in order to deal with the change of object images. But these approaches are likely to fail the detection because the image changes often occur when they come out again after being hidden by other objects. What is worse, when they show up again, they appear in another place, not the original one. In this paper, a new proposal is present so that the detection can be carried out efficiently even when the images come out in other place, and the failure of the detection can be reduced.

  • 초기의 비구조적인 피어-투-피어 방식은 플러딩(flooding) 방식의 검색 기법을 사용하는데, 이 기법은 통신비용이 매우 많이 소요되어 비효율적이다. 따라서 효율적인 검색 기법으로 임의 경로(random walk) 검색 방식이 제안되었다. 이 검색 기법은 메시지가 임의로 노드를 이동하기 때문에, 검색의 성공률이 낮다. 이를 보완하기 위하여 효율적인 복제기법이 요구된다. 현재 나와 있는 복제 기법은 여러 방법이 있으나, 모두 통신에 고비용을 요구한다. 따라서 복제 기법에서는 통신비용을 최소화하는 효율적인 복제 기법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 캐시를 사용하여 직접적인 데이터 통신비용을 최대로 줄이는 한편, 복제를 질의가 많이 도착하는 곳에 위치시켜 검색률의 저하를 막고, 잘못된 캐시 관리 기법을 통해 동적인 환경에서도 잘못된 캐시로 인한 검색의 실패를 최소할 수 있는 기법을 제안한다.

  • 동영상에서의 객체추적을 위해 주파수변환을 적용하는 연구가 발표되고 있다. 주파수영역으로의 변환 방법은 FFT와 같은 고속변환을 적용하므로 실시간 객체 추적을 위해 좋은 방법이다. 동영상에서 이동 중인 객체는 인접 프레임에서 위치의 변화가 크지 않기 때문에 주파수영역으로의 변환 방법으로 고속 객체 탐색을 실현할 수 있다. 그러나 동영상에서 이동중인 객체는 형상이 조금씩 변할 수 있으므로 탐색기법은 이 점을 고려해야한다. 본 논문에서는 추적 대상 객체가 다른 물체에 의해 가려지는 상황에 따라 필터갱신을 적응적으로 수행하고 이동경로와 주변정보를 사용하고 검출 객체에 비례대칭평균화 전처리를 적용함으로써 추적 대상객체가 가려지는 상황에서도 추적 실패를 줄일 수 있는 객체 탐색 기법을 제안한다.

  • 핸드오프는 무선 셀룰러 환경에서 사용자의 이동성(Mobility)을 유지해줄 수 있는 가장 중요한 기술 중의 하나이다. 이러한 핸드오프 기술은 사용자가 이동할 주변 셀에 대한 대역폭 예약과 관련이 있다. 효과적인 대역폭 사용을 위하여 사용자의 이동성을 예측하는 기술은 핸드오프 호의 실패율(Dropping Probability)과 핸드오프 지연(Latency)을 줄이는 효과적인 방법이다. 최근에 제시된 ZMHB 알고리즘은 기존의 알고리즘과는 달리 셀 내부의 이동 경로를 저장한 히스토리를 이용하여 사용자가 이동할 셀을 예측하였다. 그러나, 모든 사용자에 대하여 80~85%정도의 예측 정확도만을 보인다. 본 논문에서는 ZMHB 알고리즘에서 사용하는 존(Zone)을 세분화하여 이동 패턴을 저장하고, 이를 예측에 이용하는 Detailed-ZMHB 예측 알고리즘을 제안하고 성능 평가 결과를 보인다.

  • Programming judge systems for programming training support are typically built on the Web, where the examiners uploads a programming problem, which the student reads and submits an answer to the problem. The judge system executes the submitted answer of source code to provide feedback such as pass, failure, and error messages. Students who receive the feedback except for the pass continues debugging the source code until they are judged to pass. We developed an online judge system to support programming training and analyzed answers submitted by the students and found that many of the students who were not judged to pass that test did not know exactly where they were wrong but continued to solve the problem. The current judge system generally feeds runtime error messages back to students. However, with only runtime error message, it is difficult for student who train to find the wrong part of the answer. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a system that provides the feedback of programming failure by analyzing the control flow of the test cases used in the source code submitted by the student. The proposed system helps students find the wrong parts more quickly by feeding back the paths where faults in the control flow may exist. In addition, we show that this system is applicable to the answer source code that the actual student submitted.

A study of Distributed QoS Routing Performance with Implicit 2-level Information (암시적 3단계 정보를 갖는 분산 QoS 라우팅 성능 연구)

  • In this paper, we study the various performance of Distributed QoS Routing according to how many level of routing table information in router. And we study Flooding and recently proposed 2-level forwarding, and compare with performance of implicit 3-level forwarding. Performance factors are message overhead that is generated on Distributed QoS Routing and Route Setup success Rate, Connection blocking rate, Network Utilization. They can decide the accuracy of routing information in rouser. Our simulation shows that more level of routing table information have, lower message overhead generate but lower performance at other factors because of inaccuracy of routing information.
