  • The purpose of this study is to provide fundamental cooling design data for the large public enclosures as gymnasium. This study executed indoor thermal environment verification of the existing gymnasium by measuring temperature distribution with and without cooling the space in summer. Colling loads from human body was not considered. We examined various indoor thermal environment factors of the large enclosed space in this study which include vertical and horizontal temperature distribution, supply and return air flow feature, thermal comfort environment feature, amount of ventilation and etc.

  • According to the advent of the ubiquitous environment, not only a location based service at the outside but also a location based service at the inside was more increased socially. Accordingly, this paper proposes the efficient determination system to locate a object in frequent change of indoor environment. Proposing system in this paper introduce the NLOS identification and mitigation to resolve NLOS problem, using this way that corrects location data as RWA and KF apply to result data can improve accuracy of a object. At last we are going to compare and analyze existing typical triangulation with proposed indoor location determination system to demonstrate algorithm efficiency for proposed indoor location determination system.

  • Recently, we have been demanding the comfort of the indoor environment due to environmental problems such as fine dust and yellow dust. In addition it is pursuing the most pleasant indoor environment for humans. In this study, we designed and implemented monitoring systems and mobile applications to enable information such as room temperature and humidity. Open source software and open source hardware are required to design and implement the systems proposed in this study. In this study, the systems implemented used a bluetooth module, a light sensor, and a temperature and humidity sensor. In the future, we expect to be a basic study of systems that can operate dehumidifiers, warm-air fans, fans and humidifiers using motors and optimize indoor environment.

  • 사람 검출은 다양한 분야에서 활용이 많은 기술이다. 검출은 노이즈, 그림자, 조명 변화, 사람형태 등을 고려해야 우수한 성능을 얻을 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 블록기반으로 복잡한 실내환경에서 상기 문제를 극복할 수 있는 사람 검출 방법을 제안한다. 제안방법은 모션 추출, 배경차분화, 전경객체 추출, 사람의 고유색 검출로 구성된다. 다양한 실내환경에서 제안방법을 적용하여 우수성을 증명하였다.

  • 본고에서는 실내환경에서 측위 정확도의 요구가 높아지고 있는 시점에서 전파시스템 기반 측위 시스템 및 알고리즘이 가진 문제점을 해결하기 위해 지구고유의 자원인 지구자기장을 기반으로 실내환경에 강인한 측위 시스템 및 알고리즘에 적용 가능성을 제시한다. 본 연구를 통해 건물재료 및 공간구성에 따른 지구자기장세기 변화량이 다른 것을 확인 하였으며, 위치추정을 위한 Fingerprint 알고리즘 적용 시Database 구축의 편의성, 효율성을 높이기 위한 방법을 제안하고 실제 환경 실험을 통해 그 우수성을 검증하였다.

Indoor and Outdoor Levels of Particulate Matter with a Focus on I/O Ratio Observations: Based on Literature Review in Various Environments and Observations at Two Elementary Schools in Busan and Pyeongtaek, South Korea (실내 외 농도 비(I/O ratio)에 기반한 주변환경과 실내 미세먼지 농도분포 특성: 선행연구 리뷰와 여름철 부산과 평택 초등학교에서의 측정 결과를 중심으로)

  • We measured PM2.5 and PM10 (particulate matter less than 2.5 ㎛ and 10 ㎛ in diameter, respectively) simultaneously at 16 locations around an elementary school and classrooms in Busan and Pyeongtaek, South Korea. In this study, we compared the results of this field intensive with those in the literature (144 cases of 30 studies), focusing on I/O (Indoor/Outdoor) ratios. We also reviewed the results of previous studies, categorizing them into related sub-categories for indoor-activities, seasons, building-uses, and the surrounding environment. We conclude that indoor PM10 is affected more by indoor-sources (e.g., physical activities) than PM2.5 in the absence of combustion sources like smoking and cooking. Additionally, PM10 and PM2.5 likely have different indoor-outdoor infiltration efficiencies. Conclusively, PM10 in classrooms can be more sensitively affected by both indoor activities and ambient concentrations, and mechanical ventilation can be more efficient in reducing PM concentrations than natural ventilation.

A Study on Environment-friendly Expressional Characteristics; As Shown in Interior Design of Public Facilities in Ulsan (울산광역시 공공시설 실내디자인의 환경친화적인 표현특성에 관한 연구)

  • Contemporary human beings have tendency to orient themselves to a natural environment while they have adapted themselves to artificial surroundings, which implies that a development of interior space where man, nature and space are in a sympathetic harmony with one another through overcoming non-naturalness and non-humanization is seriously needed. There are two methods in that; one concerns an introduction of environment-friendly expressions into the interior space as its natural factor, and the other involves expressing natural objects or beauties with orderly change commonly seen around in form of artificial design. On this study, the definition of ″Environment-friendliness″ and how it has evolved itself with time are first considered to search out for environment-friendly characteristics in the interior design. And then, among the characteristics of environment$.$friendly expressions widely observed in the interior space, the two aspects are studied for our purpose; an introduction of natural factors and an expression with artificial design. For the study, public facilities located in Ulsan were proposed since they accommodated lots of people. To meet the needs of the times that the development of environment-friendly space should reflect the factors of beauty and comfort enough to live in, relevant studies should be more activated and specialized. When there are a wide understanding of and a profound work upon introducing natural factors as well as ones of sound design into the interior space, a desirable environment-friendly expression could be created.
