  • This study aimed at finding theological trends of Calvin Theological Journal by analyzing Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH). The study performed the time-series analysis and the analysis of distinctive terms by examining the main authors and the subject headings of the articles published in Calvin Theological Journal during 45 years. We also proposed a new method of dividing the analysis period with the change of authors and subject headings. In the analysis results, the 18 main authors had the three clusters and shared Calvin and the Reformed Theology, the Bible. The reformed characteristics were shown in the first and second period, but the reformed theology was at the margins. The frequency of Calvin became small in the third period, the frequency of the reformed theology became bigger than before, but it was at the perimeters. Literary criticism was clustered independently. There were lots of the terms of the reformed theology in the analysis of the distinctive terms in all three periods and especially in the 2-1 period science and religion were included as the distinctive terms. Therefore, the theological tendency of the Calvin Theological Journal seemed the reformed theology and Old Testament.

  • This study aimed at analyzing journals and index terms, authors of the reformed theology and evangelicalism, neutral theological position by using bibliometrical analyzing methods. The analyzing methods are average linkage and neighbor centralities, profile cosine similarities. Especially, when analyzing the relationship between authors, we interpreted the research topic by finding the key shared index terms between the authors. In the journal analysis results, 9 journals were largely clustered together in the two clusters of the reformed theology and evangelicalism, but Presbyterian Theological Quarterly that is thought to be a reformed journal was clustered in evangelical cluster. In the index terms analysis results of the clusters, the reformed theology and evangelicalism were key words representing the two clusters. In the authors' analysis results, we had 9 clusters and the Presbyterian theologian studying the reformed theology had the four clusters and the non-Presbyterian theologian had the 5 clusters. Therefore, we consistently had the two clusters of the reformed theology and evangelicalism in all the analysis of the journals and the index terms, the authors.

  • This study aimed at analyzing the keywords and authors of the KCI listed theological journals and finding the official research performance of Korean theology. This study divided the periods in two according to how duplicate the authors are and found hierarchical clusters by analyzing 92 keywords using the McQuitty method. In analyzing them, the Ward linkage method was selected to prevent the authors from gathering into a small number of clusters. Also, to find how influential the journals were to the keywords, the keywords and the percentage of the journals in them were presented together. The authors were analyzed in terms of deciding the positions of them using normalized performance index representing the number of journals and growth index as a growth tendency. Especially, significant researchers were all reformed theologians in a growth index. In the analysis of the keywords of the KCI journals and the authors, the main subject terms of the Korean theology were related to systematic theology and the New Testament. By analyzing the KCI listed journals as the Korean official citation index, this study has made a difference to the advanced articles analyzing the non-KCI listed theological journals.

  • This study has analyzed the uncontrolled index terms in the theological journal, which were assigned by the authors and the LCSH subject headings in their form and meaning, compared to the standards of index terms and proposed much more sophisticated indexing system. In the uncontrolled index terms, noun phrases and compound terms are analyzed, this study found that indexers have to have theological knowledge and indexing techniques in order to assign more precise index terms. In the LCSH, unnecessary index terms and parenthetical qualifiers were analyzed. As a result of it, this study identified that the problems of inconsistency and errors raised from the basic index structure of LCSH.

  • This study analyzed research trends related to lifelong church education through the analysis of academic papers recently published in Korea since 2000 and derived implications for lifelong church education. For the study, a total of 95 studies related to lifelong church education were analyzed among academic papers in domestic journals from 2000 to 2021. Academic papers were classified into research years, published journals, research subjects, research topics, and research methods, and then research trends were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, first, research related to lifelong church education has been activated since 2000 and has shown an increasing trend since 2010. Second, it was found that lifelong church education research has been conducted in various academic journals other than Christian education-related journals. Third, learner-centered research was the most common research subject, and among them, many studies targeting the elderly. Fourth, in relation to the research topic, studies on the role and necessity of lifelong church education were the most dominant, and many studies on the direction of promotion of lifelong church education were also conducted. Fifth, research related to lifelong church education is a theoretical study, and literature research is mainly conducted, and the use of other research methods was insignificant. According to these research results, it was found that practical approaches such as analysis of demands for life long education and verification of program effectiveness were insufficient. Therefore, an integrated search for lifelong church education is needed. In addition, it is necessary to continuously develop regional customized programs to support detailed areas of lifelong church education and local missionary work. It is suggested that policy sponsorship at the church, seminary, and state level is needed to promote lifelong education in churches.

  • This study examined the current trend of the qualitative researches on the experiences of individuals who have siblings with disabilities. This study analyzed 17 research articles that either have been published in journals or nominated during the recent ten years, attempting to suggest future directions of the research on siblings who have siblings with disabilities. This study analyzed 17 research papers examining their participants, research methods, and research topics. The results of the previous literature analysis are the followings. Phenomenological approach is the most frequently used research method and normally developing siblings who were in their 20s participated in the researches most. As most research papers did not consider the normally developing siblings birth order, sex, and types of disabilities, future researches will need to specify these variables. The results of this study suggest the followings. Researchers have tried to investigate and understand the experience of the individuals who have siblings with disabilities, using phenomenological research method. Future research should go beyond the phenomenological research to developed theories that can affect the government policies, employing various research methods with specified participants. Further, this study has also identified that the individuals who have siblings with disabilities wanted to be identified as a separate cohort that needs to be researched and receive support.
