The Study on the Concept of Earthly Immortality of Daesoonjinrihoe, Yeoju Headquarters (대순진리회의 지상신선 세계관 연구- 여주본부도장을 중심으로 -)

  • All humans are subject to death, and this creates a motivation to construct theories regarding divine immorality (神仙思想) in order to satisfy the human desire (慾望) for eternal life (長生) and the avoidance of death(不死). In the concept of Earthly immortality (地上神仙) from Daesoonjinrihoe (大巡眞理會), devotees do not carry out their work in a deep mountain ranges far removed from human society. Instead, they cultivate themselves in Dao from within the human society (自身修道), chant incantation to benefit others, aspire towards immortal status (神仙), and promote harmony between divine beings and humans (神人調和) all without ever leaving human society. In the Yeoju Headquarters of Daesoonjinrihoe, members created a new place called a "Dojang (道場 temple complex)" to live as immortal humans in the here and now while they chant incantations (呪文) as an act of participation in the Immortal Realm of the Later World (後天仙境). Some key religious and fengshui (geomancy) oriented symbols used within the Yeoju Headquarters of Daesoonjinrihoe appear as follows: first, Cheonggye Tower (靑溪塔) represents faith in traditional astrology (星宿神仰) and reverence for the God of the Nine Heavens (九天上帝). Second, Daesoonjinrihoe (大巡眞理會) emphasizes the Saturn associated earth element from five phases (五行土星) and this represent the Later World due to numerological associations. Third, the Fengshui of the Yeoju Headquarters of Daesoonjinrihoe is a highly propitious (吉地) and also accentuates the Saturn associated earth element from five phases. Fourth, Yeongdae (靈臺) in the Yeoju Headquarters of Daesoonjinrihoe faces west where Jeungsan will come accompanied by other gods (神命). Fifth, the Yeoju Headquarters of Daesoonjinrihoe is in charge of property and receives happiness and prosperity (福祿) through its Fengshui. The Yeoju Headquarters of Daesoonjinrihoe is an earthly paradise for immortals (地上天國) forged to achieve the ultimate purpose of transforming its members into the Dotong (道通, those enlightened in Dao and thereby successful in their every endeavor) of the Later World. In accordance with Daesoon thought, the Saturn associated earth element from five phases is positioned in the middle of incantations, and Yeongdae, other architecture, and landscaping has all been arranged to correspond with Daesoon geomancy and numerology (後天數理).

  • Pontine infarction presents variable neurologic deficits because the pons is a very complicated organ with cranial nerve nuclei and several fiber tracts. A 65 year-old women with dizzness, ataxia and diplopia because of Pontine infarction was admitted at Wonkwang University Jeonju Oriental Medicine Hospital. She was treated with the herbal medicine Joganiknoe-tang(助肝益腦湯) and with acupunture. Improvement in these symptoms was observed, so the specifics of the process in which the patient was treated are here described. Results suggest that Joganiknoe-tang(助肝益腦湯) is an effective treatment for symptoms of pontine infarction.

  • Caroli's disease is a non-obstructive dilatation of the intrahepatic bile ducts. It is a rare congenital disorder that classically causes saccular ductal dilatation, which usually it segmental dilatation. Caroli's disease is associated with recurrent bacterial cholangitis and stone formation. A 57 years-old female inpatient suffering from cholangitis due to Caroli's disease was admitted at Wonkwang University Jeonju Oriental Medicine Hospital. The patient was treated with herbal medicine such as Yongdamsagan-tang and acupuncture. As result, there was improvement of symptoms. The process and content of treatment and the patient's recovery over general symptoms is described.

  • 한반도 하천은 몬순기후와 노년기 지형 등의 영향으로 평상시 물이 흐르는 하도와 충적토로 덮인 주변 사주 및 홍수터를 보여 왔다. 그러나 1970년대 이후 하천이 대규모로 정비, 개발되기 시작하면서 한반도 하천 고유의 '화이트리버'는 점차 식생으로 덮여 '그린리버'로 바뀌게 되었다. 본 연구는 이러한 하천 사주 및 홍수터에 식생이 활착하는 현상에 대해 요인별로 몇 가지 패턴으로 구분하고 대표적인 사례를 제시한다. 패턴 1은 상류 댐, 취수 등 인위적 유황 및 유사이송 변화와 그에 따른 하상 소류력 감소, 홍수터에 신선한 유사퇴적 감소 등으로 식생이 번성하게 되는 경우이다. 패턴 2는 하천개수, 골재채취 등으로 하도가 인위적으로 교란되는 경우이다. 마지막으로 패턴 3은 특히 중소하천에서 비점오염물질(인, 질소) 과다 유입으로 식생이 과다하게 번식하는 경우이나, 아직 현장에서 실제적인 확인은 되어 있지 않다. 이 같은 양상은 어느 하천에서 단독으로 일어날 수도 있고, 복합적으로 일어날 수 있다. 본 조사 연구는 각 양상에 대해서 구체적인 사례를 같이 제시하고, 그 의미를 검토한다.

  • 풋고추의 재배면적은 시설채소 면적이 증가하면서 연중 생산이 가능하게 되어 급속히 증가하고 있으며 신선 채소류에 대한 선호도가 늘어나면서 풋고추의 소비량이 늘어나고 있다. 2001년 현재 고추의 시설재배 면적은 5,517㏊로써 과채류 시설재배면적의 10%를 차지하고 있다. 재배지역별로는 경남, 전남, 광주, 충남지역이 전체 재배면적의 73%를 차지하고 있으며 풋고추는 시설재배로 대부분이 주산단지로 이루어져 있어 선별작업기계화가 요망되고 있다. 이와 같이 풋고추선별에 대한 기계화 요구도가 높은 반면 아직까지 풋고추의 선별작업은 전적으로 인력에 의존하므로 많은 노동력이 소요되며 작업능률이 낮고 육안에 의존하기 때문에 정확한 크기선별이 곤란한 실정이다. 또한 고추의 선별ㆍ포장에 소요되는 작업노력으로 인하여 주산지별로 선택ㆍ포장 작업의 기계화 요구도가 높다. 복제한우 생산효율과 산자의 성장능력

  • 본 연구는 한우 복제수정란의 이식에 의해 고능력 복제한우를 생산할 수 있는 효율과 산자의 성장능력을 검정하기 위해 수행되었다. 고능력 한우의 귀세포를 이용하여 체세포복제수정란을 생산하였고 그 신선수정란을 대리모에 이식한 결과는 다음과 같다. 2000년 (n=35)과 2001년 (n=121)에 이식한 복제소의 분만율은 각각 5.71%, 8.26%로 나타났다. 복제송아지의 임신기간은 평균 287일 (279~295일)이었으며 같은 기간내 인공수정 우군의 평균 임신기간인 287일 (255~293)과 동일하였다. 복제송아지의 분만시 사산율은 6.67%였으며, 인공수정시의 94.44%와 비슷하였다. 그러나 분만후 복제송아지의 생존율은 36.67%로서 인공수정의 100% 보다 매우 낮았다. 그리고 태어난 후 200일 이상 생존한 송아지의 생시 평균체중은 28.25kg (AI 23.67kg)이었고, 복제송아지의 경우 생시체중이 표준체중보다 적거나 (<20kg) 또는 거대체중 (>35kg)의 경우는 분만후 대부분 사망하였다. 상기 결과에 의해 현재의 복제기술에 의한 한우 생산효율은 아주 낮고 분만 후 거대체중등 비정상인 경우가 많아 생존율이 낮음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 이에 대한 원인구명에 관한 기초연구의 확대가 요망된다.

The Removal Rates of the Constituents of Litters in the Littoral Grassland Ecosystems in the Lake Paldangho IV.Sulphur (팔당호 연안대 초지생태계에서 낙엽 구성성분의 유실률 IV.황)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the removal rate of sulphur of the litters in the Phragmites communsis, Seirpus tabernaemontani, Miscanthus sacchariflorus and Typha angustata aquatic grassland ecosystem on the lake Paldangho. The annual litter productions of sulphur were 50.91 /$m^2$, in P. communis, 180.83 g /$m^2$, in S. tabernaemontani, 25.87 g /$m^2$, in M. sacchariflorus and 151.39 g /$m^2$, in T. angustata, respectively. The removal rates r, of sulphur in the litters were 0.86 in P. communis, 0.82 in S. tabernaemontani, 0.43 in M. sacchariflorus and 0.47 in T. angustata respectively, The times required to reach 50, 95 and 99 percent of the steady state levels and turnover values of sulphur on the grass-land floor were 0.81, 3.49 and 5.82 years in the P. communis, 0.85, 3.68 and 6.13 years in the S. tabernaemontani, 1.62, 7.00 and 11.67 years in the M. sacchariflorus and 1.49, 6.44 and 10.73 years in the T. angustata, It is considered that the high removal rates of sulphur in four grasslands of aquatic ecosystem contribute to the efficient removal of sulphur, a pollutant, at the lake Paldangho.   • Parameters of failure criteria, compressive strength and elastic modulus are most important for design and stability analysis of rock structure using numerical analysis. In this study, it suggests that the application of input data for numerical analysis by the literature study and the result of the 150 sets of triaxial compressive test. There was much different between parameters of failure criterion suggested by Hoek-Brown and parameters resulted from the analysis using 150 sets of triaxial compressive test. But the converting equations of compressive strength have had an interrelation with RMR. However, the converting of elastic of elastic modulus were different as chosen of equation, and the equation by Nicholson et at was more useful than others.

  • When the horizontal and vertical curves are superimposed in railway alignments, which affects the running stability, ride comfort, and track maintenance costs. However, when designing new lines or realigning existing ones, there are many cases of superimposition caused by the existing fixed points (bridge, tunnel, turnout, and catenary system, etc) on the conventional lines and undesirable impacts on the environment, etc. In this study, when the horizontal and vertical curves are superimposed, in order to optimize the horizontal curve in aspect of the ride comfort, the object function was developed and verified by vehicle dynamic analysis. Also, the solution algorithm for simplified evaluation method was presented.

  • The investigation was performed to reveal the removal rate of metal constituents of litters in a Phragmites communis Miseanthus sacchariflorus, Typha angastata and Seirpas tabernaemontani grasslands in the lake Paldangho. The removal rates of metal constituents are determined by the mathematical models. The removal rates and time required to decay up to a percentage of each metal constituent were calculated using these model. The removal rates of Cu, Fe and Zn were 0.61, 0.58 and 0.79 in Phragmites communis 0.39, 0.47 and 0.68 in Miseanthus saccharflorus; 0.26, 0.09 and 0.23 in Typha angustata: 0.56, 0.27 and 0.67 in Seirpus tabernaemontani respectively. The periods required to reach half time to the stedy state of the removal and accumulation for Cu, Fe and Zn were 1,13,1.19 and 0.79 years in Phragmites communis; 1.79, 1.49 and 1.02 years in Miscanthus sacchariflorus; 2.70, 7.43 and 2.96 years in Typha angustata ; 1.23, 2.58 and 1.04 years in Scirqus tabernaemontani, re-spectively.
