  • This study aims at finding what factors influence trust in e-government and how trust in e-government and satisfaction with e-government services affect trust in government. Despite of the importance of trust in e-government, there has not been sufficient research. Giving light on the factors of affecting trust in e-government is of academic significance. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore the nature, driving forces and consequences of citizens'trust in e-government and in government. The empirical results indicated that temporal embeddedness, network embeddedness, information provision quality, information security quality and e-participation quality affect satisfaction with e-government services and trust in e-government. Also, satisfaction with e-government services and trust in e-government influence trust in government, and satisfaction with e-government services affect trust in e-government.

Midship Section Design of Ship Structures Based on Reliability Analysis (신뢰성 해석에 기초한 선체 중앙단면 설계)

  • This study is concerned with the reliability analysis and its based design of midship section against the ultimate bending strength. Eight bulk carriers and seven oil tankers over 100m length are chosen for the present study. Target reliability indices for the two ship types have been derived based on the results reliability analysis of the present ship models. Reliability-based structural design codes are proposed for use in design of midship section of bulk carriers and oil tankers. The design codes proposed in this study have been successfully applied to re-design of midship section of the present ship types. It has been found that the proposed codes can provide more uniform structural design results.

  • 소프트웨어 신뢰성 보증을 위한 소프트웨어 신뢰성 평가 프로세스는 다양한 관점에서 대상 소프트웨어 시스템뿐만 아니라 관련된 조직 및 개발 프로세스에 대한 분석을 필요로 한다. 특히, 신뢰성 평가 프로세스 수행 단계 중 단계별 척도 식별단계는 대상 시스템의 도메인 특성을 반영해야 하는 까다로운 작업이다. 현재 신뢰성 관련 척도들이 여러 문서에 다양한 의미로 혼재해 있어 이를 조사하는데 많은 노력이 들며 대상 시스템 환경에 적합한 척도 식별을 위해 불필요하게 많은 회의와 인터뷰를 진행하고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 표준문서 및 관련문헌에 근거하여 신뢰성 척도 POOL 을 구성하고 각 척도 원시 데이터의 수집 조건에 기반한 적용조건 매트릭스를 이용하여 기존의 신뢰성 관련 척도 조사 및 수집, 척도 식별 과정에서 소요되는 자원, 시간의 낭비를 줄이고자 한다. 이 방법을 적용하였을 때 소요된 시간과 기존의 회의를 통해 소요되는 시간을 비교하여 본 논문에서 제시하는 방법의 효과를 평가한다.

Effects of Company Trust and FLSE's Trust on Loyalty in Airline Industry (항공사 신뢰와 서비스제공자 신뢰 및 충성도의 영향관계 연구)

  • It is essential to have a trust with customer, especially in the airline context which provide the best service and movement to particular destinations. However, previous researches were performed only within restricted variables regarding this topic. Thus the purpose of this research was to investigate the relationship among trust's antecedents, trust and loyalty. A convenience sample of 298 travelers from airline customers was surveyed and 286 usable questionnaires were analyzed. According to the literature review, trust's antecedents were divided into the following variables: 'competence', 'benevolence' and 'problem solving ability'. Trust objects were divided into 'company trust' and 'front line service employee(FLSE) trust' accordingly. The findings of the study are as follows. First, company trust's antecedents which are 'competence', 'benevolence' and 'problem solving ability' yielded positive effects on company trust. Specifically, 'competence' has the strongest influence among variables. Second, as far as FLSE trust's antecedents are concerned, only 'competence' and 'problem solving ability' have positive effects on FLSE trust. Third, both company trust and FLSE trust influenced each other. Lastly, both company trust and FLSE trust have positive effects on loyalty.

A Study of the Effect of Selling Situation based on Product Types on the Long-term Orientation between Buyer-Seller (제품유형에 따른 판매상황이 구매자-판매자간의 장기지향성 형성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구는 제품특성의 차이로 인한 거래상황요인이 구매자와 판매자간의 장기지향성에 미치는 영향력의 구조를 검증하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 원지를 공급 받아 종이류 제품을 생산·판매하는 제조업체와 광고라고 하는 무형의 서비스를 거래하는 일반 기업체들을 대상으로 상호신뢰를 통한 장기지향성의 형성에 영향력을 행사하는 변수들의 구조와 상대적 중요성을 실증자료를 통해 분석해 보았다. 이에 따라 다음과 같은 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 많은 선행연구에서와 마찬가지로 신뢰가 장기지향성의 매개변수 임이 확인되었다. 둘째, 신뢰구축을 결정짓는 변수들을 기업특성과 관련된 것과 거래를 담당하는 담당자의 개인적 특성과 관련된 집단으로 구분할 수 있다는 점이다. 셋째, 취급제품의 형태에 따른 거래상황의 차이는 신뢰형성과 장기지향성에 조절적 역할을 한다는 점이다. 거래대상이 유형의 제품인가 아니면 무형의 서비스인가에 따라 경로구성원 상호간 기대하는 거래속성이 달라지게 되며 이는 신뢰 구축을 통한 장기지향성을 결정짓는 변수들의 구성과 크기에 영향력을 미치게 된다. 본 연구의 결과, 거래 대상의 제품특성이 달라지는 경우 산업 내에서 해당 기업에 대한 평판이 거래상대에 대한 신뢰구축에 가장 중요한 변수라는 사실을 발견할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 서비스산업의 경우에는 제조업의 경우에 있어서 보다 판매원의 개인적 특성이 매우 중요한 역할을 한다는 사실을 알 수 있었다.

  • 본 연구에서는 대덕연구개발특구 내 벤처기업들의 신뢰성 인식 및 활용도를 제고하기 위한 방안을 찾기 위하여 벤처기업들이 신뢰성에 대해 얼마나 중요하게 인식하고 있으며 신뢰성향을 위한 장애요인 및 필요한 신뢰성 기술에 대해 조사하였다. 또한 신뢰성 분야의 교육에 대한 수요와 요구 분야에 대한 조사를 실시하였다. 이 조사를 위하여 대덕연구개발특구내에 입주해 있는 기업들 중 150개 기업을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며 이 조사결과를 바탕으로 신뢰성 인식 및 기술 활용도 제고를 위한 방안을 제시하였다.

The Relationship between Trust, Trustworthiness, and Repeat Purchase Intentions: A Multidimensional Approach (신뢰대상의 다차원적 접근법에 의한 신뢰와 재구매 의도와의 관계)

  • Trust is central to human relationships, at all times and places. The importance of trust is fundamental in all areas of human life, not only in the area of business administration. 2,500 years ago in China, Confucius taught that the foundation of politics was the trust of the people, more important even than military strength or the supply of food. Shakespeare's play, "Much Ado about Nothing' is about trust and deception. These days, trust and transparency in a commercial organization's business culture form the basis of the 'social capital' by which that organization increases its productivity. A successful company raises productivity by the accumulation of social capital, derived from a trust relationship between business partners, and between the company and consumers. Trust is the crucial factor. At the national level, building trust determines a nation's competitiveness. For a company, long term trust relationships with customers are essential for its survival in a business environment of rapid change. Such relationships, based on trust, are important assets to ensure a company's competitive advantage, and need to be organic to that company's business culture. Because of this importance, trust relationships have been studied in diverse areas within business administration, and especially within marketing, where they form the basis of a successful relationship between producer and consumer. However, what has been lacking is a unified definition of trust. Research has been conducted on the basis of various definitions and models. The majority of researchers have not considered the multidimensional character of the concept of trust until now. Approaches based on a one dimensional model have undermined the value of research results. Furthermore, researchers have only considered trust and trustworthiness as a single component. The majority of research has explored the consequences of perceived trust for outcomes such as loyalty or cooperation, but has neglected the effects of trustworthiness upon the mechanisms of consumer trust. This study focuses on the dimension of trust from such a perspective. It seeks to verify the effect of trust on customer intentions by breaking it down into three separate components: 1) the salesperson, 2) the product/service, and 3) the company. The purposes of this paper are as follows: Firstly, we review the multidimensional nature of trust objects: the salesperson, the product/service, and the company. Secondly, we analyze the relationship between multidimensional trust and trustworthiness. Thirdly, we analyze the connection between trust and repeat purchase intentions for the maintenance of long term relationships. For these purposes the author has developed several hypotheses as follows: H1-1: The competence of a salesperson is positively associated with the trust given by the consumer to the salesperson. H1-2: The benevolence of a salesperson is positively associated with the trust given by the consumer to the salesperson. H2-1: The competence of product/service is positively associated with the trust given by the consumer to the product/service. H2-2: The benevolence of product/service is positively associated with the trust given by the consumer to the product/service. H3-1: The reputation of a company is positively associated with the trust given by the consumer to the company. H3-2: The physical environment of a company is positively associated with the trust given by the consumer to the company. H4-1: Trust in a salesperson is positively associated with repeat purchase intentions. H4-2: Trust in a product/service is positively associated with repeat purchase intentions. H4-3: Trust in a company is positively associated with repeat purchase intentions. The data was compiled from 366 questionnaires. 500 questionnaires were collected, but some of the data was considered unsuitable and inappropriate. The subjects of the survey were male and female customers purchasing products at department stores in Seoul, Daegu and Gyeongbuk. It was carried out between Oct. 25 and 29, 2007. The data was analyzed by frequency analysis using SPSS 12.0 and structural equation modeling using LISREL 8.7. The result of the overall model analysis is as follows: Chi-Square=445.497, d.f.=185, p-value=0.0, GFI=.901, RMSEA=.0617, NNFI=.986, NFI=.981, CFI=.989, AGFI=.864, RMR=.0872. The results of the overall model analysis were coherent. It was found that trust is a multi-dimensional construct, that each of the dimensions of trust are meaningful influences on customer's repurchase intention. Trust in a company may be the most relevant, while trust in a product/service and a salesperson may be less relevant to repurchase intentions. The effective factors in determining trust in a salesperson and a company's product/service were found to be competence and benevolence. Factors in determining trust in a company were its reputation and physical environment, and the relationship of each effective trust factor has been verified in this research. As a result, it was found that competence and benevolence have a meaningful influence on trust in a salesperson and in product/service. It was also found that a company's reputation influences the overall trust in the company significantly but a company's physical environment does not have much effect.

Probability Based Resistance Model of Steel Girder Bridges Based on Field Testing (현장계측결과를 이용한 강거더교의 확률적 저항모델)

  • Underestimation of the capacity can have serious economic consequences, as deficient bridges must be posted, repaired or replaced. Accurate prediction of bridge behavior may allow for more bridges to remain in service with or without minor repairs. The presented research is focused on the reliability evaluation of the actual load carrying capacity of existing bridges based on the field testing. Reliability analysis is performed on 17 previously tested bridges. Bridges are first evaluated based on the code specified values and design resistance. However, after the field testing program, it is possible to apply the experimental results into the bridge reliability evaluation procedures. The girder distribution factors obtained from the tests are also applied in the reliability calculation. The results indicate that the reliability indices of selected bridges can be significantly increased due to the reduction of uncertainties without sacrificing the safety of structures, by including the result of field measurement data into calculation.

Development of Indicators for Evaluating the Web Credibility by Goodness-of-fit Analysis (지표 적합도 분석을 통한 웹 사이트 신뢰성 평가 지표 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The Internet is now an integral part of the everyday lives of a majority of people. Web users are demanding web sites that offer credible information. This study tired to comprehensively extract the factors that affect the perception web credibility based on preceding researches and develop of indicators for evaluating the web credibility by goodness-fit analysis. I modified more than 100 factors which presented by preceding researches to 28 factors, and allocated these factors into the hierarchical categories like followings; trustworthiness, expertness, safety are categorized as first level factors, trustfulness and reputation are placed to sub-factors of trustworthiness, usefulness, timeliness and competency to sub-factors of expertness, security and reliability to sub-factors of safety as second level factors. Finally this study developed evaluating indicators for web credibility by goodness-of fit analysis.

신뢰와 원자력 수용성

  • 본 연구는 일반인들이 원자력 관련 기관에 대해서 가지는 다양한 신뢰유형이 원자력 수용성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 선행연구의 검토를 통하여 신뢰를 대상별, 유발요인별로 기관에 대한 신뢰, 사람에 대한 신뢰, 인지적 신뢰, 정서적 신뢰 등으로 구분하였다. 최종적으로 이들을 결합하여 기관에 대한 인지적 신뢰, 기관에 대한 정서적 신뢰, 사람에 대한 인지적 신뢰, 사람에 대한 정서적 신뢰 등 신뢰유형을 나누어서 원자력 수용성에 대한 이들 신뢰유형의 상대적 영향력을 분석하였다. 또한 원자력에 대한 수용성은 강도에 따라 가장 약한 '현재의 원자력 발전소 유지'에 대한 수용성, '원자력 발전소 추가 건설'에 대한 수용성, 가장 강도가 강한 정책인 '핵폐기장 건설'에 대한 수용성 등으로 구분하였다. 분석결과를 통해 신뢰는 원자력의 수용성에 매우 중요한 요소임을 다시 한 번 강조할 수 있다. 또한 일반인들은 각각의 신뢰유형에 대해서 차별적으로 인지하고 있음을 보여주었으며 이에 따라 신뢰에 대한 다(多)유형, 다(多)차원적 고려가 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 한편 정책의 강도에 따라 가장 약한 정책에 대한 수용성에서는 기관에 대한 인지적 신뢰가 가장 강한 영향력을 가진 반면 정책에 대한 강도가 강해질수록 사람에 대한 정서적 신뢰의 영향력이 강해지는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 원자력 정책의 주요 내용과 파급효과, 시민들에게 미치는 영향의 강도 등에 따라서 신뢰제고를 위한 차별적 전략이 필요함을 시사한다.
