와 IV등급인 도깨비부채(Rodgersia podophylla A.Gray), 점현호색 (Corydalis maculata B.U.Oh & Y.S.Kim), 솔붓꽃 (Iris ruthenica KerGawl.), 산복사나무 [Prunus davidiana (Carriere) Franch.]

  • Gwangdeoksan Mountain (699.3 m) is the highest border mountain between the two cities of Chungcheongnamdo Province, Cheonan and Asan, Korea. In this study, we investigated the flora of Gwangdeoksan Mt. from April of 2015 to October of 2017. Through 20 independent field investigations, we identified and tallied a total of 428 species, 9 subspecies, 30 varieties, and a forma in 287 genera and 97 families. Of a total of 468 taxa, 128 taxa in 112 genera and 58 families were found to be Korean endemic species (7 taxa), floristic regional indicator species (45 taxa), rare or endangered species (3 taxa), species subject to the approval of outbound transfer (73 taxa), and alien or ecosystem disturbing species (32 taxa). The flora of Gwangdeoksan Mt. can be divided into four distinct floristic subregions, with higher diversity in the north-facing subregion. The complex flora of Gwangdeoksan Mt., emerging at the edge of two floristic regions of the Korean peninsula, may represent a significant conservation priority and a topic for future ecological and geographical studies.

  • Palustrine wetland is often used for development work and green area creation. However, the ecological characteristic of vegetation is not frequently considered in planning. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate vegetation characteristic according to land-use of palustrine wetland and to provide basic materials in assessment of palustrine wetland and restoration and creation of wetland. Survey sites were caterogized into paddy, field, and mountain. Each category had two sites, so total 6 survey sites were investigated for vegetation. As a result, with a range of 61~92 species, total 216 taxa were confirmed, consisting of 71 families, 168 generic, 187 species, 2 variety 1 forma 1 subforma. Mountain received a high score in the evaluation score range of floristic regional indicator plants, and it was found that there were 10 families and 28 species of naturalized plant. Mountain showed low appearance, and fiddy and field showed relatively high appearance. Naturalized plants with slightly high vegetation cover ratio are Erigeron annuus, Amorpha fruticosa, Dactylis glomerata, Festuca arundinacea, Eragrostis curvula, Trifolium repens, Erigeron Canadensis, Ambrosia trifida, Oenothera odorata, Bidens frondosa, etc. Such naturalized plants should be removed to prevent terrestrialization of wetland and its harmful damages. Long-term monitoring and proper management of naturalized plants are expected to improve palustrine wetland into high quality biotope of rural area in the future.

  • 588 taxa of vascular plants including 121 families, 399 genera, 510 species, 67 varieties, 2 subspecies, 7 forma, and 2 hybrid species were investigated in Mt. Cheonsung. Among them, 116 species were newly added in this research. The area for Gyeongbu High-speed Railway passes Mujechi 3, 4, 5, and 6 and Daeseongsa around the wetlands were investigated 6 species of rare and endangered plants, 9 species of endemic plants and 37 species of special flora plants in Mt. Cheonsung. Appear due to the construction of the Gyeongbu High-speed Railway vegetation changes, especially about the impact of wetland plants for long-term monitoring is expected to need. Moreover, plant preservation plan about water source change in upper wetland should be established.

  • The flora of the vascular plants in Deoksesan Mt. and its adjacent areas, located at Inje-gun, Gangwon province, were surveyed for a total ten times from April of 2018 to July of 2020. The result of this survey revealed 457 taxa, consisting of 90 families, 287 genera, 404 species, 13 subspecies, 35 varieties, and 5 forms. Among them, 12 taxa were endemic plants to Korea, and 7 taxa were rare plants. Red list plants and those designated as controlled Korean biological resources, requiring special permission for export outside of the county, numbered 3 and 103 taxa, respectively. The floristic target species amounted to 83 taxa, specifically 8 taxa of grade IV, 26 taxa of grade III, 21 taxa of grade II, and 28 taxa of grade I. In addition, 14 taxa were classified as plants adaptable to climate change, and 4 taxa at their respective northern limits, first recorded in this study, were also investigated. Twenty-nine taxa of alien plants and 4 taxa of ecosystem disturbance species were also found in this area. Our results suggest that some species should be preserved and can serve as basic information with which to establish data on the preservation of resources, such as plant diversity and distributional changes on Deoksesan Mt.
