  • 결함평가에 사용되는 작업자기준과 공학적 해석기준에 대한 비교와 각국에서 가스배관 원주용접부 결합평가에 사용하는 규격에 대한 검토를 수행하였다. 우리나라 가스배관 시공에는 API 1104를 기분으로 사용하고 있으며, 결함평가기준은 KSB 0845를 따르고 있다. 가스배관용접부에 대해 안전성과 효율성이 겸비된 새로운 결함평가방안을 구축하기위해 실배관 파열시험 및 대변형시험이 국내외에서 지속적으로 수행하고 있다.

입학성적과 대학학업성취도의 관련성 분석

  • 대학에서 학생 개인의 학업성취도를 나타내는 평점평균(GPA)은 많은 요인의 영향을 받는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 현행입시제도하에서 획득 가능한 자료를 이용하여 학생부 성적과 수학능력시험성적이 대학의 학업성취도를 나타내는 평점평균과 어떠한 관계를 갖고 있는지 일반화선형모형(GLM)을 이용하여 통계적으로 분석 평가하고자 한다. 여기서 얻어진 결과는 2008학년도부터 적용되는 제7차 교육과정의 수학능력시험성적과 학생부 성적 반영 비율 산정에 필요한 기초적 정보를 제공하는데 도움이 될 수 있으리라 믿어진다. 분석에 사용한 자료는 2003, 2004학년도 인제대학교에 입학한 학생들의 입학성적과 2003, 04, 05학년도의 평점평균을 대상으로 삼았다.

  • 본 연구는 밭에서 발생하는 비점오염원의 저감 효과를 분석하기 위하여 최적관리기법(BMPs) 중 경운방법과 침투짚단을 하여 효과를 분석하고자 하였다. 시험포 1개의 면적은 $150m^2$ (폭 5 m, 경사장 30 m)이며, 모두 사질토의 특성을 가진 토양이다. 시험포는 총 8개(경사도 3% 4개, 8% 4개)로 각각 무경운 시험포 2개와 경운 시험포 1개 그리고 침투 짚단을 설치한 경운 시험포 1개로 경사도와 영농방법을 다르게 조성하였다. 실험의 오차를 줄이기 위하여 강우지속시간과 강우량 그리고 강우강도가 일정한 인공강우 실험을 수행하였으며, 실험시 바람에 의한 강우량의 오차를 줄이기 위해 날씨가 맑은 날에 실시하였다. 또한, 선행무강우일수 7일로 유지하여 토양의 함수비를 동일한 조건이 되도록 하였다. 총 3회의 인공강우실험에서 강우강도는 30 mm/hr 이였으며, 강우로 인해 발생한 유출수는 수위를 측정한 뒤, 수위-유량곡선식을 이용하여 유량으로 환산하였으며, 이때 수질시료를 채취하였다. 채취된 수질시료는 $BOD_5$, $COD_{Cr}$, $COD_{Mn}$, TN, TP, DOC 등의 6개 항목을 분석하였다. 연구결과 경사도 3%의 침투짚단 시험포에서 오염부하는 경운 시험포 대비 $BOD_5$는 25.4%, $COD_{Cr}$은 20.5%, $COD_{Mn}$은 2.1%, DOC는 40.8%, 영양염류인 TN과 TP는 각각 23%와 8.7%가 저감되는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 경사도 3%의 무경운 시험포에서 오염부하는 경운 시험포 대비 $BOD_5$는 57.5%, $COD_{Cr}$은 59.8%, $COD_{Mn}$은 65%, TN과 TP는 65.4%와 75%로 저감되었다. 그리고 경사도 8%에서 경운 시험포대비 침투짚단 시험포의 오염부하는 $BOD_5$ 19.6%, $COD_{Cr}$$COD_{Mn}$은 각각 7.8%와 10% 그리고 영양염류인 TN은 15.5%, TP는 11.2%가 저감되는 것으로 나타났다. 경사도 8%에서 무경운 시험포에서는 경운 시험포 대비 $BOD_5$ 70.9%, $COD_{Cr}$$COD_{Mn}$은 각각 74.9%와 81.3% 그리고 영양염류인 TN은 70.2%, TP는 70.1%가 저감된 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과와 같이 경운을 하는 관행방법에 비해 토양의 침투능이 유지할 수 있는 무경운 방법이나 침투짚단을 활용하는 방법이 밭에서 발생하는 비점오염원을 저감할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나, 본 연구의 결과는 3번의 인공강우 실험을 통해 분석된 결과로써 추가적인 연구를 통해 다양한 경사도와 영농방법에 따른 비점오염물질의 저감효과를 분석해야 할 것으로 보여진다.

Experimental Investigation of the CHF for the Narrow Rectangular Channel in the Downward Flow (좁은 사각 유로 내 하향류 유동 조건에서 임계열유속 실험 연구)

  • Experimental investigation was carried out on the CHF(Critical Heat Flux) under downward flow condition in narrow rectangular channels simulating subchannel of plate-type-fuel for JRTR(Jordan Research and Training Reactor). The experiments covers the license requirement of the research reactor. Two test sections used in this study simulate full scale subchannels for fission moly uranium target and plate-type-fuel, respectively. From the experimental results, the parameters affecting on the CHF are investigated. By using experimental data, the existing CHF prediction models were evaluated. Finally, the applicability of correlations were analysed to predict CHF in the narrow rectangular channel under the downward flow condition.

Change of Strength of High-Strength Bolted Connection Depending on Standard and Over Bolt Hole (표준공과 과대공을 갖는 고장력볼트 접합부의 강도변화)

  • A tension member that has a high-strength bolt fastened to a standard bolt hole increases structural resistance but causes problems from workability or economic perspectives. In this research, a total of 28 samples that have standard and over bolt holes as the tension member's high-strength bolted connection were made and a tension test was conducted. The change of strength of the connection has been confirmed by comparing the tension load of standard and over bolt hole samples obtained from the test results with the design strength due to net section and end distance. Samples made with over bolt holes had a lighter tension load than that of samples made with standard bolt holes, exceeded the design strength of present design standards, and although decrease in strength was inevitable due to the over bolt hole, their safety was satisfactory.

Evaluation of a Back Face Strain Compliance of CT specimen (CT시험편의 Back Face Strain Compliance 평가)

  • In welded steel structures, there are many stress concentration sites such as weld beads, and welding defects are likely to occur at the welded parts. When a repeated fatigue load acts on a stress concentration site, fatigue crack occurs and propagates, leading to fatigue fracture. Therefore, it is necessary to understand fatigue life, crack initiation life, and crack propagation life in order to prevent fatigue failure. In this study, a compliance method was derived for use in the study of fatigue crack propagation characteristics. This compliance can be used for automated measurement of fatigue cracks. The compliance was calculated using an in-house FEM program for a CT specimen. The results of this calculation are presented in relation to a/W and compared with calculation results using the J integral and a program from a previous study. In addition, the strain distribution in the upward and downward directions was calculated from the center of the back face of the CT specimen. In this distribution, the strain tended to decrease from the center to the top and bottom. The compliance method was achieved from these calculations and can be used for automatic execution of crack propagation tests.

An Estimation of the Fatigue Behavior on the Cruciform Type Specimen by Variation of the Stress Ratio (응력비 변화에 따른 십자형 접합부의 피로거동 평가)

  • This paper was composed with fatigue test of the cruciform specimens, as load carrying and non-load carrying type. It also has performed computational analyses for geometric condition of the fillet welding bead. As test results, the effect of stress ratio in the specimen was insignificant. Stress ranges were varied with R=0.1~0.2. The fatigue cracks that were found in the load carrying type specimens and most specimens welded with contact were developed at the end of welds. The fatigue strength of specimen that have fractured in maternal plate was found about ${\Delta}\sigma_c$=63.5MPa. It's about 24% less than that of the non-load carrying type specimens having about ${\Delta}\sigma_c$=83.8MPa. A category of the Fatigue design specifications which provide for cruciform details was defined grade C as a stress of the maternal member. And then, the fatigue strength to be transformed into the maternal stress was found about 78.27 MPa, it tends to be less than that of allowable fatigue strength.

Engineering Properties of Tire Treads for Soil Reinforcement (지반보강재로서 타이어 트레드의 공학적 특성)

  • In order to utilize treads of waste tire as reinforcement material it is necessary to know the interface friction angle between tread surfaces and soil and tensile strength of connection joint of tire treads. In this research large direct shear tests were performed to get the interface friction angle between the inner and outer surfaces of treads and soil for different degree of compaction. From the large direct shear tests, the ratio of interface friction angle to the shear friction angle of sand, ${\delta}/{\phi}$, were 1.06 in outside surface of tire tread and 0.93 in inside surface of tire tread. For weathered granite soil the ratio of interface friction angle was 0.98 and 0.92 for outside and inside of tread, respectively. Also tensile tests were performed using universal testing machine for the connection joint of treads and Tirecell units using bolts. The tensile strength of connection joint increased with the number of bolts and with the sizes of washers. Connection by polypropylene ropes showed lower strength than those of bolts.

  • Air mixing system which is composed of air pressure control system, hot pipe system and air mixer, is the facility for mixing hot air($1000^{\circ}C$, 10kg/s) from storage air heater (SAH) and decompressed air($20^{\circ}C$, 15kg/s) from high pressure air supply system. Air pressure control system reduce the pressure of the air, from 32MPa to 3.5 MPa and supply the decompressed air to air mixer. The hot pipe system supply hot air from SAH to air mixer which mix hot with the decompressed air from air pressure control system. Fully mixed air flow rate is 25kg/s and mixed temperature is up to $400^{\circ}C$. So, we can expand the operating envelop of the supersonic ground test facility to low Mach number and low altitude region.
