The purpose of this study is to identify the differences in self-efficacy, clinical performance ability, and critical thinking disposition after applying education integrated educational virtual reality simulation to training and outside school clinical practice to nursing college students and to provide them as basic data for effective practical education. This study was conducted from June 8 to July 3, 2020, and enrolled in the 3rd year of university in G city, and 30 subjects who did not receive virtual reality simulation training or outside school clinical training at all. Data were analyzed by Paired t-test. As a result of the study, the result of pretest and posttest to each group showed statistically significant improvements in self-efficacy, clinical performance ability, and critical thinking disposition. As a results of the study, education integrating virtual reality simulation training and clinical practice for nursing students to improves clinical performance ability, improves critical thinking, and self-efficacy, so it is thought that various virtual reality simulation training must be suitable for clinical situations before practice is necessary.

This study was performed to examine that convergence-based integrated simulation practice program curriculum effects the clinical decision making, problem solving competence, clinical competence and confidence of core fundamental nursing skill performance for nursing students. After the convergence-based integrated simulation practice program, there were significant increased in problem solving process(t=-3.052, p<.01), clinical competence(t=-4.279, p=.000), and confidence of core fundamental nursing skill performance(t=-2.416, p<.05). The finding of this study verified that the integrated simulation practice program curriculum can be used for improvements of problem solving competence, clinical competence and confidence of core fundamental nursing skill performance for nursing students. It is necessary to develop a scientific analytical evaluation tool and program, and it would be necessary to have a system for scientifically analyzing the integration of simulation practical courses by nursing college students by grade level and subjects.

The purpose of this study was to develop an integrated-simulation practice program using standardized patients and to identify the effects of such program. The present study used a pretest-posttest design with a single group applied to 30 fourth-year nursing students in a university and developed a case scenario for alcoholism patients with diabetes mellitus in a community. As results showed, communication skills were significantly improved (t = 4.24, p < .001), but the learning of self-efficacy and motivation of transfer were insignificantly improved compared with the pretest. Moreover, motivation of transfer showed a positive correlation with the learning of self-efficacy (r = .758, p < .01). The purpose of utilizing an appropriate case development based on practical experience and hands-grade students was to improve the motivation of transfer and increase self-efficacy through problem solving. Therefore, we identified that an integrated-simulation practice program using standard patients was useful in the improvement of client centered nursing competence, such as communication skills. In addition, further studies would help develop various scenarios for the integrated-simulation practice program to improve not only communication skills but also increase self-efficacy and motivation of transfer.

The purpose of this study is to understand the meaning of clinical practice experience, including web-based simulation practice, in the context of the corona pandemic era. As for the research method, data were collected through a focus group interview on the experience of web-based simulation practice and subsequent clinical practice and analyzed by content analysis method. The contents of the two interview groups were analyzed, and the results were divided into 2 components, 7 topic groups, and 18 topics. The first component, the clinical practice, was divided into four topic groups: 'The anxious start of practice in a pandemic situation', 'Direct experience through various cases', 'Training opportunities to prepare as a future nurse', and 'The burden of performance and limited experience'. The second component, the web-based simulation practice, was divided into three topic groups: 'Unfinished nursing practice', 'Indirect experience of clinical nursing in virtual space', and 'Requirement of an integrated practice model'. Clinical practice is a very important part of the nursing education curriculum. However, the nursing that students can perform in the field is very limited. Therefore, to supplement the shortcomings of observation-oriented clinical practice and to increase the quality of practical education, it is necessary to consider a hybrid education model including web-based simulation practice.

This study aimed to examine the effects of integrated simulation practice education for nursing college students on their communication skills, self-efficacy in learning, clinical reasoning ability, and clinical performance through a pre-post quasi-experimental design with a single group. The participants were 41 fourth-year nursing college students from a university located in G City, and the intervention took place from September to November 2023 over a period of nine weeks. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0, and the research findings are as follows. First, after simulation practice education, significant effects were observed in self-efficacy in learning (t=-2.21, p=.033), clinical reasoning ability (t=-2.97, p=.005), and clinical performance (t=-2.84, p=.007), but no significant difference was found in communication skills (t=-.224, p=.824). Second, after simulation classes for nursing students, clinical performance showed significant positive correlations with communication skills (r=.650, p<.001), self-efficacy in learning (r=.440, p<.001), and clinical reasoning ability (r=.824, p<.001). Based on these results, integrated simulation practice education for nursing students appears to be an effective educational method for enhancing their self-efficacy in learning, clinical reasoning ability, and clinical performance. To improve nursing students' clinical performance, it is necessary to operate simulation practices with various scenarios.

This study was conducted with the aim of exploring the essence of the achievements experienced by nursing students while enhancing their problem-solving abilities through simulation practical training. The study participants included 13 fourth-year nursing students, and data were collected through individual interviews conducted after the simulation practical training. Data analysis followed the qualitative research method of content analysis, involving coding, categorization, and thematization of the data. The results of this study revealed that nursing students' achievement experiences through simulation practical training included the following processes: "confirming confidence through improvement," "acknowledging change," "experiencing nursing self-efficacy," and "getting closer to the goal of clinical practice." Furthermore, it is suggested that efforts should be made to implement efficient operation and evaluation tools through multifaceted and meticulous design to promote integrated learning through simulation practical training and to confirm the process of internalizing knowledge through reflection by nursing students.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of simulation practice education applying problem-based learning on problem-solving ability, critical thinking disposition, and learning satisfaction of nursing students. 63 nursing students taking the practice subject for integrated simulation at U University in K region were asked to complete a self-administered questionnaire to collect data before and after the simulation practice. The simulation practice education applying problem-based learning was effective in improving problem-solving ability and learning satisfaction significantly and positive correlation was found among problem-solving ability, critical thinking disposition, and learning satisfaction; that is, the better problem-solving ability, the higher level of critical thinking disposition and learning satisfaction. While the results of this study conducted in nursing students at a single university cannot be generalized, it was confirmed that simulation practice education applying problem-based learning was an effective teaching method in improving problem-solving ability and learning satisfaction of nursing students. It is therefore necessary to give simulation practice education applying problem-based learning on a systematic and continuous basis with the objective of improving problem-solving ability and learning satisfaction and promoting critical thinking disposition.

This study aimed to develop simulation practice program with PBL (S-PBL) for nursing students and evaluate the effect of the program on their problem solving ability, clinical performance competency, learning satisfaction and confidence. The participants were nursing students who applied for simulation practice courses at an university in J province. The study was a mixed-method design using a nonequivalent one group pretest-posttest design (n=91) and focus group interview (n=12). Quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 program and qualitative data thematic analysis. Quantitative data showed S-PBL was effective in improving clinical performance competency, learning satisfaction and confidence of the participants, but not in improving problem solving ability. As a result of the qualitative study, four themes and eight sub-themes were derived, and the themes were "Learn integrated nursing care based on priority", "Experience team cooperation through communication," "Learn vividly critical care" and "Improved nursing competency". The S-PBL could be effective in practical education for nursing students. In further study, it is necessary to develop various simulation practice programs based on PBL through a mixed-method design and apply them to nursing curriculum.

In this paper, we are implemented the courseware targets to the integrated a digital system analysis, a design theory, and a hardware description language training and a logic analysis. This paper consists of two subjects. One is that the learning of a digital system analysis, that of a design theory, and the training of a hardware description language is simultaneously performed. The other is that the experiment of courseware. To learn the hardware description language, the explanation using sound or moving images, setting-up of a simulation or a synthesis program, and simulating are executed on a courseware. And also, we proposed an integrated systems for the hardware description language and a logic synthesis. Also, The reliablity of the tool was verified to be preyed an efficient operation of an implemented digital system courseware tool by korea computer research association.

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationships among self-leadership, communication and team efficacy of nursing students participating in integrated simulation training courses. Methods: Participants were 124 nursing students from the two different schools. Data were collected from December 2018 through January of 2019 and analyzed using t-test, ANOVA and Pearson's correlation coefficients. Results: Self-leadership, communication and team efficacy were significantly different according to satisfaction of major, satisfaction of simulation course and satisfaction of leadership. Also significant correlations were found among self-leadership, communication and team efficacy. Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate that education programs based on simulation courses should be developed to promote self-leadership, communication and team efficacy of nursing students. A diverse simulation curriculum to improve the practical skills of nursing students needs to be developed.
