The Entry-Descent-Landing process of a lander involves many environmental and technical challenges. To solve these problems, recently, terrestrial relative navigation (TRN) technology has been essential for landers. TRN is a technology for estimating the position and attitude of a lander by comparing Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) data and image data collected from a descending lander with pre-built reference data. In this paper, we present a method for generating descent dataset and extracting landmarks, which are key elements for developing TRN technologies to be used on Mars. The proposed method generates IMU data of a descending lander using a simulated Mars landing trajectory and generates descent images from high-resolution ortho-map and digital elevation map through a ray tracing technique. Landmark extraction is performed by an area-based extraction method due to the low-textured surfaces on Mars. In addition, search area reduction is carried out to improve matching accuracy and speed. The performance evaluation result for the descent dataset generation method showed that the proposed method can generate images that satisfy the imaging geometry. The performance evaluation result for the landmark extraction method showed that the proposed method ensures several meters of positioning accuracy while ensuring processing speed as fast as the feature-based methods.
The use of 3-dimensional (3D) printing is becoming more common, and its use is increasing in the orthopedic surgery. Currently, there are four major methods of using 3D printing technology in orthopedic surgery. First, surgical planning simulation using 3D printing model; second, patient-specific surgical instruments; third, production of customized prosthesis using 3D printing technique; fourth, patient-specific prosthesis produced by 3D printing. The areas of orthopedic surgery where 3D printing technology can be used are shoulder joint, spine, hip and pelvis, knee joints, ankle joint, and tumors. Since the diseases and characteristics handled by each area are different, the method of using 3D printing technology is also slightly different in each area. However, using 3D printing technology in all areas can increase the efficiency of surgery, shorten the surgery time, and reduce radiation exposure intraoperatively. 3D printing technology can be of great help in treating patients with particularly complex and difficult orthopedic diseases or fractures. Therefore, the orthopedic surgeon should make the most of the benefits of the 3D printing technology so that patient can be treated effectively.
Based on the kinetic typography principle and the structure features of Chinese characters, this study took the Chinese'24 solar terms' theme dynamic poster as the research object, explored the visual expression of dynamic Chinese characters, and tried to summarize the visual expression law of Chinese characters in dynamic poster design. It can be found that, there could be 6 different types of Chinese character expressions in the 24 solar terms poster design. Among them, 'Drawing' design method has the meaning of text structure and form expression, and 'Assembling' design method has the meaning of text stroke and texture association, also, 'Forming' design method bring its meaning through stroke deformation, 'Transforming' design method conveys the content through text disintegration, 'Replacing' design method mainly bring the meaning through simulation, while 'Rotation' design method always express through visual three-dimensional and space. Finally, the findings could not only provide analytical logic and methods for the expression of Chinese characters in dynamic poster design, but also fill the lack of formative research on dynamic Chinese characters, which hopefully provide basic information for the research related to dynamic Chinese character structure, as well as the dynamic poster designers.
The Thiessen method, which is the current area average precipitation method, has serious structural limitations in accurately calculating the average precipitation in the watershed. In addition to the observation accuracy of the precipitation meter, errors may occur in the area average precipitation calculation depending on the arrangement of the precipitation meter and the direction of the heavy rain. When the watershed is small and the station density is sparse, in both simulation and observation history, the Thiessen method showed a peculiar tendency that the average precipitation in the watershed continues to increase and decrease rapidly for 10 minutes before and after the peak. And the average precipitation in the Thiessen basin was different from the rainfall radar at the peak time. In the case where the watershed is small but the station density is relatively high, overall, the Thiessen method did not show a trend of sawtooth-shaped over-peak, and the time-dependent fluctuations were similar. However, there was a continuous time lag of about 10 minutes between the rainfall radar observations and the ground precipitation meter observations and the average precipitation in the basin. As a result of examining the ground correction effect of the rainfall radar watershed average precipitation, the correlation between the area average precipitation after correction is rather low compared to the area average precipitation before correction, indicating that the correction effect of the current rainfall radar ground correction algorithm is not high.
River and groundwater stages are the main elements in the hydrologic cycle. They are spatially correlated and can be used to evaluate hydrological and agricultural drought. Stochastic simulation is often performed independently on hydrological variables that are spatiotemporally correlated. In this setting, interdependency across mutual variables may not be maintained. This study proposes the Bayesian vector autoregression model (VAR) to capture the interdependency between multiple variables over time. VAR models systematically consider the lagged stages of each variable and the lagged values of the other variables. Further, an autoregressive model (AR) was built and compared with the VAR model. It was confirmed that the VAR model was more effective in reproducing observed interdependency (or cross-correlation) between river and ground stages, while the AR generally underestimated that of the observed.
Directly converting the focal depth and image size of computer-generated-hologram (CGH), which is obtained by calculating the interference pattern of light from the 3D image, is known to be quite difficult because of the less similarity between the CGH and the original image. This paper proposes a method for separately converting the each of focal length of the given CGH, which is composed of multi-depth images. Firstly, the proposed technique converts the 3D image reproduced from the CGH into a Light-Field (LF) image composed of a set of 2D images observed from various angles, and the positions of the moving objects for each observed views are checked using an object detection algorithm YOLOv5 (You-Only-Look-Once-version-5). After that, by adjusting the positions of objects, the depth-transformed LF image and CGH are generated. Numerical simulations and experimental results show that the proposed technique can change the focal length within a range of about 3 cm without significant loss of the image quality when applied to the image which have original depth of 10 cm, with a spatial light modulator which has a pixel size of 3.6 ㎛ and a resolution of 3840⨯2160.

In this paper, we proposed an iterative digital image watermarking technique using encrypted binary phase computer generated hologram in the discrete cosine transform(OCT) domain. For the embedding process of watermark, using simulated annealing algorithm, we would generate a binary phase computer generated hologram(BPCGH) which can reconstruct hidden image perfectly instead of hidden image and repeat the hologram and encrypt it through the XOR operation with key image that is ramdomly generated binary phase components. We multiply the encrypted watermark by the weight function and embed it into the DC coefficients in the DCT domain of host image and an inverse DCT is performed. For the extracting process of watermark, we compare the DC coefficients of watermarked image and original host image in the DCT domain and dividing it by the weight function and decrypt it using XOR operation with key image. And we recover the hidden image by inverse Fourier transforming the decrypted watermark. Finally, we compute the correlation between the original hidden image and recovered hidden image to determine if a watermark exits in the host image. The proposed watermarking technique use the hologram information of hidden image which consist of binary values and encryption technique so it is very secure and robust to the external attacks such as compression, noises and cropping. We confirmed the advantages of the proposed watermarking technique through the computer simulations.
The supervised learning-based deep-learning seismic inversion techniques have demonstrated successful performance in synthetic data examples targeting small-scale areas. The supervised learning-based deep-learning seismic inversion uses time-domain wavefields as input and subsurface velocity models as output. Because the time-domain wavefields contain various types of wave information, the data size is considerably large. Therefore, research applying supervised learning-based deep-learning seismic inversion trained with a significant amount of field-scale data has not yet been conducted. In this study, we predict subsurface velocity models using Laplace-domain wavefields as input instead of time-domain wavefields to apply a supervised learning-based deep-learning seismic inversion technique to field-scale data. Using Laplace-domain wavefields instead of time-domain wavefields significantly reduces the size of the input data, thereby accelerating the neural network training, although the resolution of the results is reduced. Additionally, a large grid interval can be used to efficiently predict the velocity model of the field data size, and the results obtained can be used as the initial model for subsequent inversions. The neural network is trained using only synthetic data by generating a massive synthetic velocity model and Laplace-domain wavefields of the same size as the field-scale data. In addition, we adopt a towed-streamer acquisition geometry to simulate a marine seismic survey. Testing the trained network on numerical examples using the test data and a benchmark model yielded appropriate background velocity models.

In the case of the construction industry, the relationship between process and cost should be appropriately distributed so that the finished product can be delivered at the minimum fee within the construction period. At that time, it should be considered the size of the bridge, the construction method, the environment and production capacity of the factory, and the transport distance. However, due to various reasons that occur during the construction period, problems such as construction delay, construction cost increase, and quality and reliability degradation occur. Therefore, a systematic and scientific construction technique and process management technology are needed to break away from the conventional method. The prefab(Pre-Fabrication) is a representative OSC (Off-Site Construction) method manufactured in a factory and constructed onsite. This study develops a resource and process plan optimization system for the process management of the Nodular girder, a prefab bridge girder. A simulation algorithm develops to automatically test various variables in the personnel equipment mobilization plan to derive the optimal value. And, the algorithm was applied to the Paju-Pocheon Expressway Construction (Section 3) Dohwa 4 Bridge under construction, and the results compare. Based on construction work standard product calculation, actual input manpower, equipment type, and quantity were applied to the Activity Card, and the amount of work by quantity counting, resource planning, and resource requirements was reflected. In the future, we plan to improve the accuracy of the program by applying forecasting techniques including various field data.
Since the frequency of heavy rainfall is increasing due to climate change, water levels in the river exceed past historical records. The rating-curve is to convert water level into flow dicscharge from the regression analysis of the water level and corresponding flow discharges. However, the rating-curve involves many uncertainties because of the limited data especially when observed water level exceed past historical water levels. In order to compensate for insufficient data and increase the accuracy of flow discharge data, this study estimates the flow discharge in the river computed mathematically using Monte Carlo simulation based on a 1D hydrodynamic numerical model. Based on the existing rating curve, a random combination of coefficients constituting the rating-curve creates a number of virtual rating curve. From the computed results of the hydrodynamic model, it is possible to estimate flow discharge which reproduces best fit to the observed water level. Based on the statistical evaluation of these samples, a method for mathematically estimating the water level and flow discharge of all cross sections is porposed. The proposed methodology is applied to the junction of Yochoen Stream in the Seomjin River. As a result, it is confirmed that the water level reproducibility was greatly improved. Also, the water level and flow discharge can be calculated mathematically when the proposed method is applied.
