The technology developed for the decrease of applying loads and self-weight of a structure is to improve conventional Foam Cement Banking Method (FCB) by applying mixed slurry of bottom ash, cement and foams. Since the foam-mixed concrete, which is a major material of the Bottom ash-mixed Light weight concrete Banking method (BLB) developed, contains mineral admixture such as cement, the behavior shows time-dependent deformation and deterioration of durability due to environmental exposure. Thus, this study is subject to figure out the characteristics of long-termed behavior and durability of the developed method by carrying out experiments for schemed parameters, which are considered to be factors affecting mainly on concrete's characteristics from mechanical analysis. As results of tests, it was found that the developed concrete offers higher resistance than conventional foamed concrete in terms of long-termed behaviors associated with drying shrinkage and creep, and durability problems of freeze-thaw and carbonation processes, especially with addition of bottom ash.

The bend resistance of coated reinforcing bar is greatly influenced by adhesion strength of bar and coating materials and transformation of coating materials to the bar. Expecially, tearing state or a limited microscopic cracks are predicted on the inside and outside of bending angle because of adhesion strength and elongation is very different with types of polymer materials using bar coating, and these parts are accelerated corrosion as penetration of bar corrosion effects factor. In this study, cement modified polymer are prepared four types and differ from polymer cement ratio of 50% and 100%, coating thickness of 250$\mu$m and 450$\mu$m, coating number, curing age of 3, 7, 14 and 280days, and then tested bend resistance as bending angle $90^{\circ}$, $135^{\circ}$ and $180^{\circ}$ for observe the microscopic demage effect according as bar bend. From the test results, when is used cement modified polymer as coating materials of bar, St/BA is showed excellent bend resistance than a polyacrylic emulsion and SBR because of softness. But it is to need attention because as coating parts are pressed down and tearing, also experimental study is proceeded to corrosion potential on the inside and outside of coated reinforcing bar.

Recently, epoxy-coated re-bar used to the structure partly and put to practical use step, but not economical and appeared to the defect of deterioration of long term bond strength between concrete. The method for complement the defect of epoxy coated re-bar, study of polymer cement slurry coated re-bar started and basic properties appeared to excellent, but study of bond properties embedded in concrete specimens insufficient until now. This study attempts to examination of using possibility for bond strength of polymer cement slurry coated re-bar between concrete specimens compare to ACI Code and KS Code through pull-out test of 15cm$\times$15cm$\times$15cm specimens with polymer cement slurry coated re-bar as polymer cement ratio 50%, 100%, 150%, coating thickness 250${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, 440${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and curing age. In the results of this study, the bond strength of polymer cement slurry coated re-bar compare to plain re-bar, epoxy coated re-bar decreased St/BA-modified polymer cement slurry coated re-bar, but bond strength of PA-modified polymer cement slurry coated re-bar appeared to excellent results. The bond properties of polymer cement slurry coated re-bar between concrete will be obtain more precise results according to compressive strength change of concrete and re-bar diameter size.

Epoxy-coated re-bar was partly used to the structures and put to practical use, but were not economical and appeared to have defects such as the diminishing of long term bond strength between concrete. The study of polymer cement slurry coated re-bar was started in order to complement the defect of epoxy coated re-bar, and ever since the basic properties appeared to be excellent. But, study of bond properties embedded in concrete specimens was insufficient until now. This study attempts to examine the possibility of improving the bond strength of polymer cement slurry coated re-bar between concrete specimens in accordance with ACI Code and KS Code through pull-out test of 150mm$\times$150mm$\times$150mm substrates with polymer cement slurry coated re-bar having polymer cement ratios of 50%, 75% and 100%, coating thickness 250${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, 450 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and with curing ages of 3, 7 and 28 days. High strength concrete was designed having a compressive strength of 500kgf/cm2 as specified. Practical bond length ranges of 55 and 85mm were applied to each of specimen. The bond strength of polymer cement slurry coated re-bar using St/BA-1 and St/BA-2 was compared to that of plain re-bar. The results of this study showed that the bond strength of 55mm bond length was much higher than that of 85mm bond length.

In recent years, it has widely been studied on the light-weight composites for the purpose of the large space and thermal insulation of building structures. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the properties of light-weight composites made by binders as cement, resin and polymer cement slurry. The concrete composites are prepared with various conditions such as polymer-cement ratio, void-filling ratio, type of resin, filler content and light-weight aggregate content, tested for thermal conductivity. From the test results, the thermal conductivity of concrete composites with the binder of cement tends to decrease with increasing polymer-cement ratio, and to increase with increasing void-filling ratio. The thermal conductivity of concrete composites with the binder of resin are markedly affected by the light-weight aggregate content, type of resin and filler content. The composites made by polymer-modified concrete and polymer cement slurry have a good thermal insulation property. From the this study, we can recommend the proper mix proportions for thermal insulation Panel or concrete. Expecially. the thermal conductivity of concrete composites made by polyurethane resin is almost the same as that of the conventional expanded polystyrene resin.

Reinforced concrete structures under sever conditions such as marine structures, bridges and structural constructed with aggregated(dredged front sea). can be deteriorated from corrosion of the reinforcing bars. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the corrosion reflectance of coated steel using polymer dispersion and polymer cement slurry. Polymer dispersion and polymer cement slurry with various polymer types were coated to the surface of bars and steel plate, and tested for accelerated corrosion tests. Tests include adhesion in tension, bending test, chloride ion spray, penetration of NaCl 10% solution and carbonation. From the test results, the corrosive resistance of steel is considerably improved by using polymer dispersion and polymer cement flurry at surface of steel. The difference of the corrosive resistance is hardly recognized according to types of polymer dispersion. The coated steel using polymer dispersion and polymer foment slurry will be improved to a great extent compared to those of plain steel when increasing content of chloride ion in cement concrete.

Recently, the use of lightweight panels in building structures has been increasing. Of the various lightweight panel types, styrofoam sandwich panels are inexpensive and are excellent in terms of their insulation capacity and their constructability. However, sandwich panels that include organic material are quite vulnerable to fire, and thus can numerous casualties in the event of a fire due to the lack of time to vacate and their emission of poisonous gas. On the other hand, lightweight foamed concrete is excellent, both in terms of its insulation ability and its fire resistance, due to its Inner pores. The properties of lightweight concrete is influenced by foaming agent type. Accordingly, this study investigates the insulation properties by foaming agent type, to evaluate the possibility of using light-weight foamed concrete instead of styrene foam. Our research found thatnon-heating zone temperature of lightweight foamed concrete using AP (Aluminum Powder) and FP (animal protein foaming agent) are lower than that of light-weight foamed concrete using AES (alkyl ether lactic acid ester). Lightweight foamed concrete using AES and FP satisfied fire performance requirements of two hours at a foam ratio 50, 100. Lightweight foamed concrete using AP satisfied fire performance requirements of two hours at AP ratio 0.1, 0.15. The insulation properties were better in closed pore foamed concrete by made AP, FP than with open pore foamed concrete made using AES.

The set accelerator used for shotcrete at high pH environment often causes the dusting problem in practice. In this research, a slurry-type set accelerator was developed to avoid this problem and its effectiveness was investigated by applying it to shotcrete mortars. Set time, stiffening, compressive strength, and chloride ion penetration resistance were examined with different amounts of slag, used as partial replacement of cement. According to the experimental results, it was found that the earlier responses such as set time, stiffening, and 1-day compressive strength were probably affected by the amount of ettringite, formulated by the hydration between C12A7 and calcium sulfate polymorphs present in blast furnace slag. Whereas, it is believed that the result of compressive strength after 3 days was attributed to the hydration of tricalcium silicates. As for the results of a chloride ion penetration test, the partial replacement of cement with slag significantly reduced the total charge passed through the shotcrete mortar.

In this study, the optimum ratio of soil-cement was derived to utilize carbon capture minerals(CCM) as soil-cement for deep mixing method, quality characteristics of soil-cement mixed with carbon capture minerals were evaluated. The CCM is generated in the form of a slurry, and as a result of evaluating water content, it was found to be about 50%. Accordingly, the water content of CCM was removed in the unit water of Soil-cement mix. As a result of field mixing of soil-cement using CCM on field soil, it showed that the design allowable bearing capacity was satisfied by showing 3.0MPa or more as of 28 days of age. As a result of the hazard verification of carbon capture minerals, 0.055mg/L of Cu was detected, but satisfies the acceptance criteria, and no other harmful substances were eluted.

This study is to evaluate the mechanical characteristics of flowable backfill and offer a guide line of mixture proportion based on soil types for constructing underground power utilities. Flowable backfill is known as soil-cement slurry, void fill, and controlled low-strength material(CLSM). The benefits of CLSM are reduced equipment costs, faster construction, re-excavation in the future, and the ability to place materials in confined spaces, which are narrow parts or perimeters of underground power cables nearly impossible for compaction. The flowable slurry mixed with 17 soils and 6 accelerated mixtures in the laboratory were evaluated for flowability and unconfined compressive strength to meet the target values of this study.
