  • Each on-board equipment providing navigational and engine information has different signals. These signals should be analyze, be transformed to the standard digital form and be transmitted to each client on board through the earlier developed ILU (integrated LAN unit). Therefore this paper was to analyze the signals of each equipment for navigation and engine and was to use the serial technology necessary for the equipment and IDU (information display unit). And this paper was then to develop an SIU (ship's interface unit) and to test it onboard.

  • This paper presents a new digit-serial systolic multiplier over $CF(2^m)$ for cryptographic applications. When input data come in continuously, the proposed array produces multiplication results at a rate of one every ${\lceil}m/D{\rceil}$ clock cycles, where D is the selected digit size. Since the inner structure of the proposed array is tree-type, critical path increases logarithmically proportional to D. Therefore, the computation delay of the proposed architecture is significantly less than previously proposed digit-serial systolic multipliers whose critical path increases proportional to D. Furthermore, since the new architecture has the features of regularity, modularity, and unidirectional data flow, it is well suited to VLSI implementations.

  • 본 논문에서는 원자력발전소와 같은 극한환경에서 사용할 수 있는 로봇 원격제어를 위한 데이터 송수신용 통신 모듈 구현의 제약 조건을 기술하고 이를 해결할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다. 원격제어는 오퍼레이터가 원격지 로봇의 다양한 환경 정보를 인식하면서 로봇 제어 명령을 전송하는 특성을 갖는다. 오퍼레이터와 원격지 로봇 사이에 지속적인 데이터 통신에 의해 제어를 수행하므로, 통신 속도와 통신 프로토콜에 따른 현재의 통신 상태 보장 방안도 필요하다. 네트워크 기반 통신에서는 물리적 환경에 의한 영향을 포함하여 TCP/IP 프로토콜의 경우 핸드쉐이크와 혼잡회피 알고리즘 등에 의한 논리적 통신 속도의 지터가 발생하므로, 로봇 원격제어 시 이 문제를 충분히 검토해야한다. 로봇 원격제어를 위해서는 TCP/IP는 물론 UDP와 같은 통신 프로토콜과 시리얼 통신 기반의 다양한 프로토콜을 적용할 수 있는데, 송수신 데이터의 종류에 따라 적절한 프로토콜을 적용해야하며 통신 라인의 연결 상태도 확인할 수 있어야 한다.

  • Home-Network is an integrated network of the PC and all electric home appliances in the home so that they can communicate with each other. In the 21th century, here are various technology for Home Network environment such as HomePNA, IEEE 1394, Ethernet Lan and Bluetooth. For Home Network construction, generally, the standard series interface 'RS232' is used to make communication possible between electric home appliances. However Home network using RS232 has a problem. That is, All machines have to be connected to each other with RS232 using Point-to-Point mode. In this case, the system becomes complicated because we have to use circuits as much as there are machines and increased expenses. To improve this problem, In this thesis, designed home network using RS422 Multi-drop mode serial communication and controled it with embedded linux system. And connected RS422 with motors and sensors using PIC to make the home network virtual environment.

  • 최근 선박 및 물류 자동화는 물류 증대와 함께 선박의 운용을 더욱 복잡하게 만들고 있으며, 선박 내부의 통신 장비 및 통신 시스템의 구성 또한 매우 복잡하게 구성되어 있다. 때문에 지금 현재의 통신장비의 내부 통신 프로토콜은 일반적인 RS-422,485 기반의 NMEA-0183과 CAN 통신 기반의 NMEA-2000 기반으로 해상전자장비의 인터페이스 표준으로 법제화 되어있다. 본 논문에서는 가장 일반적인 NMEA-0183 프로토콜을 7-체널의 NMEA-0183 시리얼 통신 데이터를 지원하도록 설계하였으며, 그 외에 SPI 방식의 3-체널 16비트 ADC(Analog Digital Converter)와 SPI 방식의 2-체널 펄스(pulse) 입력을 받을 수 있도록 설계하였다. 특히, 선박용 통신장비의 중요한 7가지로 한정하여 설계하였다. 본 연구의 소형화를 통하여 이동이 가능하도록 하여 그 편리성을 제공하고, 소형 PC 기반의 중앙 모니터링 시스템을 구현하여 다체널 인디케이트 시스템의 효율성을 제시하고자 한다.

  • Uncanny Valley is a theory proposed by Japanese robot engineer Masahiro Mori in 1970, and refers to the point where the likability drops sharply when the appearance of a robot becomes very similar to a human being without a fully equipped robot. In this study, the theory of existing literature, related papers, and experimental data were analyzed to examine the Uncanny Valley effect that affects character design. The purpose of this study is to analyze whether the Uncanny Valley effect is applied to modeling virtual characters distributed in the Unreal Engine Marketplace. To this end, 15 characters were selected based on the similarity with humans in the Marketplace of the Unreal Engine, and similarity with humans and likability were investigated and analyzed. As a result of the experiment, it was confirmed that the Uncanny Valley effect was similarly applied to virtual character modeling, and through this, guidelines for the use of characters by indie game developers or individual developers using Unreal engines were presented. In addition, through result analysis, we tried to examine the direction to be pursued when designing characters.

  • 본 논문에서는 분산된 Sensor Module에서 실시간 계측된 데이터를 네트워크 시스템으로 구성하였다. 각각의 Sensor Module 사이의 실시간 통신이 필수적이며 정해진 시간 내에 모니터링을 위한 기기들의 데이터와 제어 명령이 전달되어야 안정성을 가질 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 산업 현장의 분산 제어에 사용되는 네트워크 중에 CAN(Controller Area Network) 통신을 사용하였다. CAN은 초기에 자동차 산업 분야에 적용하기 위해 고안된 시리얼 네트워크 통신 방식으로 근래에는 산업 전 분야에 폭 넓게 적용되고 있다. CAN controller는 SJA1000(PHILLIPS사(社)), CAN transceiver는 PCA82C250 (PHILLIPS사(社))으로 설계하였다.
