국민복지에 대한 사회적 관심과 복지실현의 핵심 요소로 도서관이 인식되면서 공공도서관의 수가 2000년대 들어 급격히 증가하고 있다. 1980년에 79개관에 불과했던 전국 공공도서관이 2013년 말 기준으로 885개관에 이르고 있으며, 공공도서관의 효율적 공간구성에 대한 이용자 요구가 증대되고 있다. 특히 이용자의 요구에 부응하기 위한 디지털열람실과 문화교육실의 증가는 2000년 전 후의 변화에 따른 시사점으로 나타나고 있으며, 기존 공간구성 비율에서 벗어나 시대에 적합한 도서관 공간계획이 필요한 시점이다. 이 연구는 1980~1990년대 준공된 공공도서관과 2000년 이후 설립된 공공도서관을 중심으로 시대별 공공도서관의 공간구성 형태를 상호 비교분석하였다. 장서보존과 열람 기능이 강조되었던 1980~1990년대와 이용자의 측면을 고려하여 문화영역 기능이 확대된 2000년대 이후 공공도서관의 소요시설별 면적비율의 차이를 살펴봄으로써 시대요구와 부합할 수 있는 면적기준을 제시하였다.

유비쿼터스 네트워크 시대가 도래함에 따라 표준화된 기술의 파악 및 이에 따른 응용 서비스 요구가 증대되고 있다. 본 고에서는 저속(Low Rate) 통신규격을 제공하는 표준인 IEEE 802.15.4의 표준화의 기술적 개관 및 물리계층에 대하여 서술한다. 2006년 9월 판 표준안에 제시된 물리계층(PHY)의 주파수 대역별 데이터율과 변조방식 및 심볼 사상에 관하여 기술한다. 또한, 변조 방식 및 전송 주파수에 따른 전송 특성, 채널 할당 방식 그리고 스펙트럼 방사 출력 등에 관해 기술한다.

북한의 과학기술은 전반 수준이 낮은 것으로 평가 받고 있으나 국방 및 기초과학 영역에서는 높게 평가받는 부분도 있다. 북한 정권의 과학기술 중시 사상에 따라 과학기술자의 우대 정책은 현 김정은 시대에 더 강조되고 있다. 북한의 과학기술은 현장 중심으로 진행되는 게 큰 특징이다. 식량과 에너지 문제 해소를 위한 과학기술자의 현장동원 등과 함께, 이른바 강성국가 건설의 경제발전 핵심전략으로 '최신 과학기술에 기초한 현대화 실현'을 강조하고 있다. 북한의 과학원통보 등 학술지와 국제 학술논문 그리고 발명 특허, 북한의 언론매체 등을 통해 북한의 과학기술에 대한 전반적인 활동 상황과 최근의 흐름을 살펴본다.

Many cities are utilizing their cultural capital as a means for urban regeneration and tourist attraction. Museums form an essential component in these culture-based urban regeneration efforts, the Guggenheim Bilbao being a frequently cited example of success. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has benchmarked the Bilbao case study as they were looking for alternative income-generating industries in the post-oil era, embarking on a city-building project on the Saadiyat Island where resorts and cultural institutions of massive scale are being constructed. The Louvre Abu Dhabi and the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi were pursued under this scheme, aiming at attracting tourism and elevating their status in the region as a cultural capital. This study examines the political, economic, and cultural background behind the Saadiyat city project and the pending issues behind the construction of the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. This study purports that besides funding and an ambitious plan, social and cultural developments in the region over time will be essential for a successful localization of a Western brand museum in the region.

The lacks of reference have been a major difficulty of the studies on official facilities of local cities in Joseon Dynasty especially for the restoration and utilization of those. In this regard the diaries which were wrote by local governors can be good data. Total 56 kinds of diaries was collected through the result of careful study and research. Such diaries were classified by their characters and were investigated to find out the practical use aspects of official facilities of local cities. Lastly the advantages and inherent limits of investigation of diaries were described.

Book reading function was the conservation and highlight 1980-1990s and considered by the side of the users culture area extended since the 2000s, public library takes the difference between the ratio of the area of the facility by the area in which you can meet the standards required and the age.

This article takes a look at current developments of science organization and the distribution of scientific information in Germany. In the information age, libraries and information centres become centres of knowledge management for the science community, as well as for the industry and for the public. Suitable solutions for a fair trade of information are necessary. Information professionals set up digital libraries and new metadata systems. The government's updated science policy and public-initiatives accelerate the development.

The purpose of this study is to activate the videorecordings in public libraries. The method of activation is to analysis of data which collected through questionnaire from respondent libraries. The results of the study are as follows : 1. The budget of videorecordings is absolutely short. 2 The acquisition policy of videorecordings is not planned because of short budget and little standard selection tool. 3. Most of public libraries wanted to exchange and use of videorecordings through interlibrary loan. 4. The subject of collected videorecordings was almost oriented to the education and motion pictures. 5. Specialized collection policy of public libraries in Pusan is not considered in videorecordings selection. 6. 87 percent of public libraries are not circulate videorecordings to the end-user. 7. Group watching planning of videorecordings in public libraries was done by monthly. 8. 70 percent of public libraries was not perform user reaction survey after watching. 9. 13 percent of public libraries has done the video tape recording of TV programming. 10. Most of public libraries had not a video to introduce themselves and user also had not a plan to create a video. 11. Most of public libraries recognized the copyright law but they wanted to reproduct the videorecordings for user with permission of authors.

This study examines the structure and contents of the various programs offered by the Cologne City Library in Cologne, Germany, and discusses its implications for the role of the changing public libraries in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The Cologne Municipal Library, which has continuously played a leading role in the education of German libraries since its opening, has been transforming itself to become a center for producing information and knowledge and developing culture in accordance with the dynamic era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Currently, the Cologne Municipal Library plays a role as a multi-cultural space in the community where local members can experience various cultures, such as movies, music and games, and create a culture, beyond the traditional functions of library collection and preservation. The program of the City Library in Cologne, Germany, will help to redesign the functions and roles of public libraries in Korea in the future, and plan library contents for local members.
