PSTN (public switched telephone network) provides voice communication service, whereas IP network provides data oriented service, and we can use IP network for multimedia transport service (e.g. voice over IP service) with economic price. In this paper, we propose RoIP (robot on IP) service scenario, signaling call flow, and implementation to provide home automation and monitoring service for remote site users. In our scheme, we used a extended SIP (session initiation protocol) for signaling protocol between remote site users and home robots. For our bearer transport control, we implemented H.263 video codec over RTP (real-time transport protocol) and additionally DTMF (dual tone multi-frequency) transport for robot actuator control. We implemented our scheme on home robots and experimented with KTF operator network, and it shows good communication quality (average MOS = 9.15) and flexible robot controls.
5G service uses mid-band (n78) than existing mobile communication frequencies, so it is necessary to improve 5G coverage by utilizing low-band frequencies below 2 GHz. To this end, the application of Dynamic Spectrum Sharing technology of LTE and 5G-NR system using most of the low-band frequencies is required. In this paper, signaling overhead factors for DSS application and RF issues for terminal implementation are derived, and signaling overhead ratios from the respective perspectives of 5G-NR and LTE for the 1.8GHz band (50MHz width) that can utilize wide-bandwidth among low-band frequencies are estimated. Also handset RF issues were analyzed. Based on the analysis results, if DSS technology using low band is applied, it is expected that excellent 5G service quality can be provided due to 5G coverage improvement when LTE traffic quickly migrates to 5G-NR.

In Hierarchical Mobile Ipv6 (HMIPv6) networks, the mobility anchor point (MAP) handles binding update (BU) procedures locally to reduce signaling overhead for mobility. However, as the number of mobile nodes (MNs) handled by the MAP increases, the MAP suffers from the overhead not only to handle signaling traffic but also to Process data tunneling traffic. Therefore, it is important to control the number of MNs serviced by the MAP, in order to mitigate the burden of the MAP. We propose an adaptive load control scheme, which consists of two sub-algorithms: threshold-based admission control algorithm and session-to-mobility ratio (SMR) based replacement algorithm. When the number of MNs at a MAP reaches to the full capacity, the MAP replaces an existing MN at the MAP, whose SMR is high, with an MN that just requests binding update. The replaced MN is redirected to its home agent. We analyze the proposed load control scheme using the .Markov chain model in terms of the new MN and the ongoing MN blocking probabilities. Numerical results indicate that the above probabilities are lowered significantly compared to the threshold-based admission control alone.

Handover of WiBro is based on 802.16e hard handover scheme. When PSS is handover, it is handover that confirm neighbor's cell condition and RAS ID in neighbor advertisement message. Serving RAS transmits HO-notification message to neighbor RAS. Transmiting HO-notification message to neighbor RAS, it occurs many signaling traffics. Also, When WiBro is handover, It occurs many packet loss. Therefore, user suffer service degradation. LPM handover is supporting seamless handover because it buffers data packets during handover. So It is proposed scheme that predicts is LPM handover and reserves target RAS with pre-authentication. These schemes occur many signaling traffics. In this paper, we propose PSS Movement Prediction to solve signaling traffic. Target RAS is decided by old data in history cache. When serving RAS receives HO-notification-RSP message to target RAS, target RAS inform to crossover node. And crossover node bicast data packet. If handover is over, target RAS forward data packet. Therefore, It reduces signaling traffics but increase handover success rate. When history cache success, It decrease about 48% total traffic. But When history cache fails, It increase about 6% total traffic
This paper presents an approach to support dynamic QoS(Quality of Service) requirements of largely emerging SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) multimedia applications in broadband access networks. The topology of QoS-enabled broadband access networks and its operational model to support SIP QoS are firstly suggested. And then the procedures to bind QoS-enabled SIP signaling into an IP QoS mechanism are presented. In this paper, DiffServ-based IP QoS architecture is deployed due to the complexity problem of the other IntServ architecture, and COPS(Common Open Policy Service) and COPS-PR protocol based signaling mechanisms are used to support dynamic DiffServ QoS, correspondent with dynamic SIP QoS. The broadband access network is assumed to support rapidly expanding Metro Ethernet 802.1 D/Q QoS, and how to translate SIP QoS parameters into IP DiffServ classes and DiffServ classes into 802.1 D/Q QoS parameters is also presented in this paper.

For mobile multimedia services, wireless ATM(Asynchronous transfer Mode) network is studied actively. In wireless ATM network, the existing signaling protocols generate heavy traffics for HLR due to the centralized structure that all signaling loads mush be handled in HLR(Home Location Register). Also, centralized structure causes critical connection setup delays. Thus, it is important that wireless ATM reduces the connection setup delays occurred due to high traffic loads of signaling based on distributed processing. In this thesis, we propose a cache strategy for call delivery as well as the cache updates of registration based on ATM multicasting and compares the cost of cache scheme with that of conventional scheme. Our study shows that cache scheme has better performance than the conventional methods in the case that the portable mobility is low and traffic density is large.

The binding update of the Mobile IPv6 which does a route optimization in basic by the node which moves frequently brings about the signaling traffic increase of binding update. It supplements this the MAP(Mobile Anchor Point) for to let, and Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 which considers a macro mobility and a micro rambling regional mobility was proposed. But Mobile IPv6 when transmitting the packet, always does to pass by the mP, the packet intensive actual condition of the MAP to occur it does not guarantee a route optimization. In this study, It accomplishes the course improvement which considers the mobility of mobile node and it interprets the relaxation quality of packet intensive actual condition with the MAP

To improve the number of simultaneous transmissions of machine-to-machine traffic in a spread spectrum ALOHA channel, we propose a new spreading technique called doubly truncated cyclic code shift keying (DTCCSK). By truncating the codeset of cyclic code shift keying, DTCCSK freely adjusts the spreading factor and the symbol length. As a result, DTCCSK exhibits both a high spectral efficiency of M-ary signaling and low implementation complexity of a direct sequence.

Recently, wireless networks require an efficient handover scheme due to increase of mobile devices. But Bluetooth has several problems to support the efficient handover, which are the additional increase of signaling traffic and long time of the initial setup processes of inquiry and paging processes. This paper suggests an efficient Soft Handover method for Bluetooth (eSoHoB), which reduces the eplased time of the inquiry and paging process and supports a soft handover using the anticipation method. This paper implements the eSoHoB using two Bluetooth hardware modules and a testbed to be able to receive streaming data while a Bluetooth terminal is moving. This paper measures handover delays and the operation of the soft handover to verify the proposed mhthod.

In this paper, we consider the military requirement, study the military network services and their related traffic parameters, evaluate the performance the experimental army network and then suggest the design guideline of applying VoIP to the whole military. We evaluate the performance of the delay and loss in the viewpoint of packet and call levels for the several scenarios. First, the performances of separate network service were considered and the satisfaction of the requirement was obtained. Secondly, the delays and losses of the integrated network services were calculated as the amount of the background traffic increases. Finally, based on the simulation results, we presented the design guideline which classified network configurations for applying VoIP equipment and helped estimate the number of VoIP terminals in the existing link.
