Recent 35 Years' Spatial and Temporal Trend Analysis of Hydrologic Extreme Variation in Korean Peninsula (최근 35년간 한반도지역에서의 시공간적 극치수문변화 추세분석)

  • 최근 한반도지역의 시공간적 수문변화 및 지속시간 연최대강우 추세분석을 위하여 기상청에서 제공 되어지는 관측자료를 이용하여 분석을 실시하였다. 분석을 위하여 서울, 인천, 속초, 부산, 군산등 전국적인 분포를 보이는 60개소의 일강수량, 일평균기온, 일최고 및 최저기온, 일평균풍속, 일습도 자료를 수집하였다. 더불어 지속시간별 연최대강우 추세분석을 위하여 동일기간에 대한 시간자료를 수집하여 분석을 실시하였다. 일자료를 이용한 분석결과 분석기간의 년평균강수량은 1998년 이전 1342.2mm였으나, 1998년 이후는 1,511.6mm로서 최근의 강수량 증가를 확인할 수 있었다. 계절적으로는 비홍수기에 비하여 홍수기에 강수량 증가가 더욱 두드러졌으며, 수계별로는 낙동강과 섬진강의 경우가 한강과 금강등 기타 수계에 비하여 최근의 강수량 증가추세가 상대적으로 뚜렷한 것으로 분석되었다. 내륙과 해안지역의 분석결과에서는 해안지역의 년강수량이 내륙에 비하여 90mm 정도 높게 나타났으며, 지역별로는 동해안지역이 서해안과 남해안에 비하여 변화경향이 크게 나타났다. 일최고강수량 및 집중호우빈도 분석결과 수계별 분석의 경우 한강수계가 다른 수계에 비하여 상대적으로 큰 증가경향을 보였으며, 한편 섬진강수계는 다소 완만한 경향을 나타내고 있었다. 집중호우빈도 분석결과 역시 년강수량과 마찬가지로 동해안지역에서의 변화경향이 크게 나타나고 있었다. 무강수일수는 전국적으로 감소경향을 보이고 있어, 강수발생일당 강수량은 증가하는 경향을 보이고 있었다. 이러한 수문학적 변화경향을 세부적으로 살펴보기 위하여 수계별 대표지점을 선정하여 지속시간별(1hr, 2hr, 3hr, 4hr, 6hr, 12hr) 강우강도 추세분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 지속시간에 따른 강우강도 역시 증가하는 경향을 나타내는 것을 확인하였으며 짧은 지속시간이 상대적으로 큰 증가경향을 나타내는 것으로 확인하였다. 하지만 정확한 분석을 위하여 보다 많은 관측소에 대한 추가분석이 필요할 것으로 판단되어 진다.

  • 수질오염 저감을 위한 유기물질의 처리를 위해 생물학적 처리에 중점을 둔 하 폐수 처리시설의 증가에 따라 BOD로 대표되는 생분해성 유기물질은 꾸준히 감소하였으나, COD농도의 경우 뚜렷한 감소를 보이지 않고 있다. 유기물질 중 특히 난분해성 물질의 증가는 상수원으로 사용되는 하천의 경우 조류 증식 등을 유발하고 여과공정에 영향을 미쳐 상수처리의 효율을 떨어뜨리는 등의 환경적인 문제를 야기할 수 있다. 기존 BOD, COD로 대표되는 유기물질의 경우 각 유기물질별 상관관계 및 유출특성 등에 대한 연구는 많이 이루어졌으나, 난분해성 물질에 대한 조사는 상대적으로 미진한 실정이다. 특히 동진강수계는 '새만금 제2단계 수질개선종합대책' 등 장기적인 수질개선 대책들이 추진되면서 하천의 BOD5 및 TP는 감소추세를 보이고 있으나, COD는 개선되지 않고 증가하는 추세를 보이고 있다. 동진강의 말단부의 경우 COD/BOD5의 비율이 지속적으로 증가하는 추세를 보이고 있어 상대적으로 난분해성 유기물질에 대한 관리의 중요성이 대두되고 있다. 이러한 COD 및 COD/BOD5의 증가 추세는 국내 4대강에서 전반적으로 나타나고 있는 추세로서, 정부는 2013년부터 하천 및 호소의 생활환경기준에 TOC 항목을 도입하여 2016년부터 호소환경기준의 대표항목을 COD에서 TOC로 대체하였으며, 폐수배출시설에 대해서도 점차적으로 확대 적용할 계획으로, 난분해성물질을 포함하는 총유기물질 관리를 위해서 수질 및 수생태계 환경기준에서 유기물질에 대한 환경기준을 BOD5와 COD에서 TOC로 변경하는 정책을 추진 중에 있다. 본 연구에서는 동진강 유역의 본류 및 지류에서 TOC등 유기물질의 시공간적인 분포와 오염원별 배출특성을 현장조사를 통해 조사 분석하였다. 조사 시기는 건기시, 강우시로 구분하여 수행하였으며 조사항목은 일반수질항목, 유기물질 항목, 유기물질 성상 분석 등에 대하여 수행하였다. 난분해성물질 관리를 위한 기초자료확보를 통하여 새만금호의 수질개선 및 목표수질 달성에 기여 할 것으로 판단된다.

  • 전 세계적으로 기후변화의 영향으로 인해 수문·기상 등 다양한 분야에서 심각성이 야기되고 있으며, 가뭄, 집중호우, 태풍 등과 같은 자연재해의 발생빈도와 피해가 증가하고 있다. 우리나라의 경우 봄철 가뭄의 발생빈도가 증가하고 있으며, 발생지역이 확산되는 추세이다. 증발산량(evapotranspiration)은 기상학과 수문학에 주요한 농업기상 매개 변수로 다루어지며, 작물의 생육·성장에 필요한 물 수요 및 관개용수 산정에 필요한 인자로 가뭄 분석에 활용하는 중요 인자들 중 하나다. 증발산량 자료 구축에는 증발산계 (Lysimeter)를 이용하여 현장 데이터를 실측하는 방법과 구조화된 알고리즘을 통해 증발산량을 산출하는 방법으로 나누어진다. 우리나라의 경우 증발산계가 설치된 지역이 많지 않고 분포도 조밀하지 않으며, 기상, 식생, 토지 피복 등 다양한 요인들의 영향을 받는 증발산량의 특성상 실측 데이터를 구축하는 것은 현실적으로 어렵다. 이에 물수지 기법, 기상 변수 기반 추정 등 간접적인 방법을 통해 증발산량을 추정하는 연구가 일반적으로 진행되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 미국항공우주국 (National Aeronautics and Space Administration, NASA) 제트 추진 연구소 (Jet Propulsion Laboratory, JPL)의 The ECOsystem Spaceborne Thermal Radiometer Experiment on Space Station (ECOSTRESS)에서 제공하는 위성영상 중 증발산량 데이터를 구축하였다. 구축한 ECOSTRESS 증발산량 적합성 확인을 위해, 청미천·설마천에서 제공하는 증발산량과 비교 및 검증을 실시하였으며, 시공간적 변동성 분석을 위해 통계적 방법을 이용하였다. 본 연구에서 도출된 증발산량의 시공간 변동성 결과를 통해 지역별 가뭄 분석의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Distributional Characteristics and Population Dynamics of Endangered Plant, Paeonia obovata Maxim. (멸종위기야생식물인 산작약(Paeonia obovata Maxim.)의 분포특성과 개체군 동태)

  • The environmental characteristics of the habitats, the population structures, ecological niche, life traits and the population demography are used as an essential informations to the effective conservation plans about the target species. We first confirmed a total of 37 populations through 12 years of investigation on the extents, and investigated the environmental factors of habitats and the population structures of the 25 cohorts in 12 regions among them. And, we investigated the population dynamics targeting at 8 cohorts in the population of Daegwanryeong-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do. Along with this, we conducted 4 years of cultivation experiments and how pollinators affect the success of reproduction. The results shows that the Paeonia obovata Maxim. was found in a relatively wide range of habitats. For the population structures of the 25 cohorts, there were considerable differences among cohorts, including a case which showed relative stable structure and an extreme case in which only adults were found. The factor that affected the population dynamics during the investigation was thought as a forest gap created in the tree layer. In the cultivation experiment, seedlings grew well in a less soil organic matter. The seed setting rate and the number of seeds generated by visiting pollinators were higher trends. In conclusion, to understand the distribution of the Paeonia obovata Maxim., there needs to be investigated on the other factors that are involved in dispersal factors other than environmental factors, and thus we suggest the necessity of the research on the dispersal vectors. The current Paeonia obovata Maxim. population was thought as a process of expansion after the rapid reduction of the extents in the past. For the effective conservation of the Paeonia obovata Maxim., an endangered plant, we recommend to understand the species through the spatio-temporal expansion, and maintain the health of the ecosystem based on it.

Application Analysis of GIS Based Distributed Model Using Radar Rainfall (레이더강우를 이용한 GIS기반의 분포형모형 적용성 분석)

  • According to recent frequent local flash flood due to climate change, the very short-term rainfall forecast using remotely sensed rainfall like radar is necessary to establish. This research is to evaluate the feasibility of GIS-based distributed model coupled with radar rainfall, which can express temporal and spatial distribution, for multipurpose dam operation during flood season. $Vflo^{TM}$ model was used as physically based distributed hydrologic model. The study area was Yongdam dam basin ($930\;km^2$) and the 3 storm events of local convective rainfall in August 2005, and the typhoon.Ewiniar.and.Bilis.collected from Jindo radar was adopted for runoff simulation. Distributed rainfall consistent with hydrologic model grid resolution was generated by using K-RainVieux, pre-processor program for radar rainfall. The local bias correction for original radar rainfall shows reasonable results of which the percent error from the gauge observation is less than 2% and the bias value is $0.886{\sim}0.908$. The parameters for the $Vflo^{TM}$ were estimated from basic GIS data such as DEM, land cover and soil map. As a result of the 3 events of multiple peak hydrographs, the bias of total accumulated runoff and peak flow is less than 20%, which can provide a reasonable base for building operational real-time short-term rainfall-runoff forecast system.

  • Soil moisture is a crucial factor in hydrological system which influences runoff, energy balance, evaporation, and atmosphere. United States National Aeronautic and Space Administration (NASA) and Department of Agriculture (USDA) have established Soil Moisture Experiment (SMEX) since 2002 for the global observations. SMEX provides useful data for the hydrological science including soil moisture and hydrometeorological variables. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between remotely sensed soil moisture data from aircraft and satellite and ground based experiment. C-band of Polarimetric Scanning Radiometer (PSR) that observed the brightness temperature provides soil moisture data using a retrieval algorithm. It was compared with the In-situ data for 2-30 cm depth at four sites. The most significant depth is 2-10 cm from the correlation analysis. Most of the sites, two data are similar to the mean of data at 10 cm and the median at 7 cm and 10 cm at the 10% significant level using the Rank Sum test and t-test. In general, soil moisture data using the C-band of the PSR was established to fit the Normal, Log-normal and Gumbel distribution. Soil moisture data using the aircraft and satellites will be used in hydrological science as fundamental data. Especially, the C-band of PSR will be used to prove soil moisture at 7-10 cm depths.

  • Various policies and studies regarding use of PBSS (Public Bike Sharing System) and Programs (PBSP) have been conducted worldwide as the number systems or programs has increased. Although various phenomena and demands have been generated by the use of PBSS in everyday life, the majority of research and the policies in South Korea have been implemented focused on commuting life. The purpose of this study aimed to understand various PBSS demands using PBSS usage data in 2018 in the Yeouido districts through classifying usage patterns and analyzing features. The rental stations were classified into three types based on weekday/weekend usage rates. The usage of Yeouido's PBSS accounted for 4.3% of the total usage in Seoul Metropolitan City, while the number of PBSS rental stations accounted for 2% of all rental stations in the Seoul urban areas. Rental stations with a higher weekday utilization rates showed high utilization rates in all four seasons and were mainly distributed in work and residential areas. Other stations showed a concentrated usage pattern in spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October) seasons, and their locations were close to the entrance of nearby parks. Besides, renting and returning were often concentrated at certain rental stations for high weekend utilization as compared to the pattern of high weekday usage. Therefore, PBSS management and programs should be operated to reflect various usage demands rather than uniform PBSS operations. The result of this study is meaningful to provide basic data for effective PBSS operation by monitoring the demand for PBSS usage in spatio-temporal terms.

Seasonal and Spatial Variations of Tidal Flat Sediments in Yeoja Bay, South Coast of Korea (한국 남해안 여자만 조간대 퇴적물의 시공간적 변화)

  • Seasonal and spatial variations of tidal flat sediments were studied in Yeoja Bay. Results of the yearly observation of tidal flat transect lines indicated that the monthly change of grain size composition was not distinct from each tidal flat transect line, but it was quite clear that clay covered $40\~70\%$ of the sediment composition. Clay composed most highest in the northern part of the bay, and lowest in the western. As clay content increased, water and organic matter showed a tendency of increase, while the mean grain size was fixed per clay amount. Shear strength came out as 0 kPa as a whole. Seasonal variations of clay contents in each tidal flat were higher in winter and spring, but lower in summer and autumn. Thefine sediments were likely to be accumulated in the winter and spring. The average accumulation rate of each tidal flat was $-14.62\~38.57mm{\cdot}yr^{-1}$. The numbers showed $32.13mm{\cdot}yr^{-1}$ in the northern, $-14.62mm{\cdot}yr^{-1}$in the western, and $6.46mm{\cdot}yr^{-1}$ in the eastern part. During the coarse of this study sediment accumulation rates indicated that the sediments deposited continuously in the northern part of tidal flat, whereas erosion occurred in the western part. However, there was no distinct change in the eastern part. It was due to the clockwise lateral circulation in Yeoja Bay. Seasonally, sedimentation happened during the dry season (winter and spring) and erosion during the wet season (summer and autumn).

A Study on the Satisfaction Analysis on Officially Assessed Land Price Using Time Seriate Geostatistical Analysis (시계열적 공간통계 기법을 활용한 공시지가의 만족도 분석에 관한 연구)

  • This study has the purpose of suggesting the method to analyze the spatiotemporal change of satisfaction concerning the officially assessed land price using geostatistical analysis. Analyzing the spatial distribution characteristic of officially assessed land price using present GIS (Geographic Information System) or is staying at qualitatively suggesting the improvement method of the officially assessed land price system. Grouping the appeal strength based on the official price and opinion price of officially assessed land price, GIS DB (Database) was constructed and the time seriate satisfaction were analyzed and compared through spatial density analysis and spatial autocorrelation analysis. As a result, it was found that the difference between the official price and the applicant's price differed depending on individual land, but most of the respondents requested the increase or the reduction of the average land price, which resulted in a large number of request. Analyzing the satisfaction of the officially assessed land price by using GIS, it was known that satisfaction of officially assessed land price could be analyzed by using the difference of the opinion price and not only the officially assessed land price. Spatiotemporal change of officially assessed land price satisfaction was known to be possible through spatiotemporal pattern analysis method such as spatiotemporal auto-corelation analysis and hotspot analysis etc using GIS. In short, regionally positive or negative significant relationship was investigated through spatiotemporal analysis using annual data.

Reliability-Based Assessment of Structural Safety of Steel-Concrete Hybrid Cable-Stayed Bridge Erected by the FCM and FSM during Construction (FCM과 FSM공법에 의한 강-콘크리트 복합사장교의 신뢰성에 기초한 시공간 구조안전도평가)

  • In this study, the models and methods for the safety assessment of Steel-Concrete Hybrid Cable-Stayed Bridge, which consists of steel composite girder and concrete girder erected by the FCM(Free Cantilever Method) and FSM(Full Staging Method) are proposed for the assurance of structural safety and the prevention against bridge collapse during construction. By the structural reliability approach that reasonably considers the uncertainties associated with the resistance and the load effect, the resistance and the load distribution characteristics of Steel-Concrete Hybrid Cable-Stayed Bridgeare defined and the strength limit state equations of permanent structures and temporary structures during construction are suggested. An AFOSM algorithm and MCS technique are used for the reliability analysis of cables, pylons, girders, steel-concrete conjunction part and temporary bents. Also, component reliability analyses are performed at the construction stages based on the structural system model. To demonstrate their rationality and practicality, the proposed models and approaches are applied to a real bridge. The sensitivity analyses of main parameters are performed in order to identify the critical factors that control the safety of similar bridges. As a result, it may be stated that the proposed models could be implemented as a rational and practical approach for the safety assessment of Steel-Concrete Hybrid Cable-stayed bridges erected by FCM and FSM during construction.
