통신해양기상위성에서의 태양반사(SUNGLINT) 위치 결정 알고리즘 연구

  • 2008년 발사 예정인 통신해양기상위성(Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite)의 성공적인 임무완성에 기여하기 위해 본 연구에서는 해양위성 관측자료 분석에 적용할, 위성의 위치 및 하루 또는 연중 태양의 위치에 따른 해수면 태양반사(Sunglint) 영역의 정확한 위치를 찾아주는 예측 알고리즘을 연구하였다. 정지궤도위성의 태양반사 영역의 정확한 위치 결정은 태양-위성-지구를 고려한 구면 천문학과 반사의 법칙으로부터 계산할 수 있는데 적절한 구면 좌표계에서 하루 또는 연중 태양의 위치와 위성의 위치를 통해 얻어진 비선형 방정식을 Newton-Raphson 수치 방법을 이용하여 태양반사 영역의 정확한 위치와 움직임을 계산하였다. 또한 정지궤도위성이 아닌 극궤도위성의 태양반사 영역의 위치 결정은 해당 위성의 TLE(Two Line Elements)을 이용한 궤도분석 프로그램인 ASAP(Artificial Satellite Analysis Program)을 이용해 시간에 따른 위성의 위치를 구하여 정지궤도위성에서의 위치 결정 알고리즘과 같은 방식으로 연구를 수행하였다. 본 논문에서 연구한 기본적인 알고리즘을 통해 다양한 이미지 센서를 가진 궤도 위성에서의 태양반사 영역 위치 결정과 그와 관련된 연구를 수행 할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Validation on Usability of Time Domain Reflectometer for Identifying Defected Aircraft Wiring (항공기 배선 결함 식별을 위한 TDR(시간영역 반사계) 활용 적합성)

  • Wiring defect is a major concern for safe aircraft operations. However, troubleshooting process of a wiring defect is very difficult due to extensive and complex wiring system and installed location. Recently, time domain reflectometer (TDR) equipment that enables effective defected wiring troubleshooting has been introduced. Unfortunately, TDRs have not practically adopted by most of airlines' maintenance departments because the effectiveness and usefulness of TDRs have not been verified. This study was conducted to verify if TDRs can identify the location and type of defected aircraft wiring, and whether they can be applied for troubleshooting purposes. Experimental plan was established by using various wires and connections applied to actual aircraft and the observed results were compared with the TDR operation guide. The usability of the TDR in actual aircraft wiring defect detection may be acceptable as the experimental results showed similar results to the TDR operation guide.

  • The resonant frequency, reflection cofficient and input impedance of a microstrip transverse dipole coupled electromagnetically are calculated using Finite Difference Time Domain(FDTD) method, and the evolution of gaussian pulse and spatial distribution of electromagnetic field components in the computation domain is represented graphically. Also, we confirmed the computation results show good agreement with the results of Method of Moment(MOM) and experiment[8] reported in the literature.

  • In this paper, we have applied Berenger's perfectly matched layer(PML) absorbing boundary conditition(ABC) with three dimension at the propagation direction of field, side boundary and upper boundary in which evanescent and radiation field is exist. Even though the same computationaal domain is used, PML is superior to other ABC in the absorbing ability that is obtained reflective coefficient about $10^{-4}$ unit for the propagation wave, but PML is ineffective in absorbing evanescent field. Also we have compared dispersive characteristics of the microstrip with Kobayashi's emprical method, and obtaind very similar result, but 0.8% error is generated at the dc or near.

  • LiDAR는 조사된 빛이 피사체에 반사되어 돌아오는 시간을 측정하여 거리를 측정하는 장비로서, 넓은 영역과 긴 거리에 걸쳐 실세계의 정밀한 3차원 정보를 포인트 클라우드 데이터로 제공해 준다. 이러한 대용량 포인트 클라우드 데이터는 자율주행 자동차, 로봇, 3차원 지도 제작 등 컴퓨터 비전 기술을 이용하는 다양한 분야에 널리 활용될 수 있다. 그러나 유리 구조물을 포함하는 피사체를 LiDAR로 촬영하는 경우, 유리면에서 빛의 반사로 인한 가상의 포인트가 생성되어 실제 3차원 정보를 왜곡하는 문제가 있다. 포인트 클라우드의 후속 처리를 효율적으로 수행하기 위하여, 이러한 왜곡을 제거하는 전처리 기술이 필요하다. 본 고에서는 LiDAR의 취득 원리와 3차원 포인트 클라우드의 특성을 고찰하고, 유리 반사로 인한 왜곡된 가상의 포인트를 자동으로 검출하고 제거하는 새로운 연구 주제를 소개한다.

Measurement of Distributed Temperature and Strain Using Raman OTDR with a Fiber Line Including Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors (광섬유 브래그 격자 센서가 있는 광섬유 라인에 라만 OTDR을 이용한 분포 온도 및 변형률 측정 가능성에 대한 연구)

  • In this study, we propose a novel fiber optic sensor to show the measurement feasibility of distributed temperature and strains in a single sensing fiber line. Distributed temperature can be measured using optical time domain reflectometry (OTDR) with a Raman anti-Stokes light in the sensing fiber line. Moreover, the strain can be measured by fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) in the same sensing fiber line. The anti-Stokes Raman back-scattering lights from both ends of the sensing fiber, which consists of a 4 km single mode optical fiber, are acquired and inserted into a newly formulated equation to calculate the temperature. Furthermore, the center wavelengths from the FBGs in the sensing fiber are detected by an optical spectrum analyzer; these are converted to strain values. The initial wavelengths of the FBGs are selected to avoid a cross-talk with the wavelength of the Raman pulsed pump light. Wavelength shifts from a tension test were found to be 0.1 nm, 0.17 nm, 0.29 nm, and 0.00 nm, with corresponding strain values of $85.76{\mu}{\epsilon}$, $145.55{\mu}{\epsilon}$, $247.86{\mu}{\epsilon}$, and $0.00{\mu}{\epsilon}$, respectively. In addition, a 50 m portion of the sensing fiber from $30^{\circ}C$ to $70^{\circ}C$ at $10^{\circ}C$ intervals was used to measure the distributed temperature. In all tests, the temperature measurement accuracy of the proposed sensor was less than $0.50^{\circ}C$.

Effective Simulation Technology for Near Shore Current Flow (연안해수유동에 관한 효율적인 수치계산기법)

  • The three-dimensional multi-layer computer simulation technology for tidal current developed in the previous study is updated to a new version. many improvements are achieved by following changes : (1) No-reflection condition is adopted instead of no-gradient condition as an open boundary condition. (2) Time marching algorithm is changed so that velocity and pressure(surface movement) might be salved in turn at different time step (3) Convection term in equation of motion is estimated by upwind differencing scheme instead of central differencing. The stability is improved considerably and the steady state is achieved within 2 tidal periods which is about 3 times shorter than that of the old version. Moreover, fluctuations in time disappeared by introducing the new time marching technique. An application to the real near shore area(near Inchon harbor) is performed by the new version. Simulated results are compared with those by the simulation total developed in the University of Tokyo. Validity and effectiveness of the two simulation technologies are chocked through the comparative research works.

  • 전 지구영역에 대해 1km 의 해상도로 제공되는 새로운 개념으로 완성된 지표 변수데이터 베이스인 Ecoclimap-1이 소개 된 바 있다. 이것은 기상과 기후의 모델에서 토양과 식물과 대기 사이의 이동 모식을 설명하기 위해 고안 되었으며, 이러한 Ecoclimap-1은 토지피복지도와 기후기도를 중첩하여 얻어진 Ecosystem 지도를 기본 주제도로 사용한다. 하지만 중첩한 결과 같은 class 에 포함되더라도 내부 class 에서의 식생의 시간 변동성은 여전히 높게 나타난다. 이와 달리 Ecoclimap-2는 새로운 방법으로, SPOT/VEGETATION S10 NDVI 자료를 이용하여 토지피복을 보다 동질의 하위 집단으로 분류 한다. 본 연구 에서는 이러한 Ecoclimap-2의 일환으로 동북 아시아 영역의 생태기후지도를 제공하고자 한다. 이러한 Ecosystem map 은 앞으로의 기후 모델 연구에 있어 중요한 base map 으로 사용 되어질 것으로 보이며 또한 생태계모델, 기상 모델의 중요한 input 자료로서 쓰여 질 것으로 사료 된다.

Ultrasonic Rangefinder Spike Rejection Method Using Wavelet Packet Transform (웨이블릿 패킷 변환을 이용한 초음파 거리계 스파이크 제거 기법)

  • In this paper, a wavelet packet transform method is proposed for improving the altitude control performance of quadrotor UAV using an ultrasonic rangefinder. A ground tests are conducted using an ultrasonic rangefinder that is much used for vertical takeoff and landing. An ultrasonic rangefinder suffers from signal's spike due to specular reflectance and acoustic noise. The occurred spikes in short time span need to be analyzed at both sides time and frequency domain. The analyzed spikes of the ultrasonic rangefinder using a wavelet packet transform. Compared with the discrete wavelet transform, the wavelet packet decomposition can obtain more abundant time-frequency localization information, so it is more suitable for analyzing and processing ultrasonic signals spike. Experimental results show that it can effectively remove the spikes of the ultrasonic rangefinder.

A Study on the Analysis of the Microstrip Line by Using Inner Source at the FDTD Method (유한차분 시간영역 해석법에 내부전원을 이용한 마이크로스트립 선로 해석에 관한 연구)

  • When continuous and discontinuous microstrip is analyzed with FDTD(Finite Difference Time Domain) method, we used Berenger's 3D-PML as absorbing boundary condition, and IST(Inner Source Technique) was used for source excitation instead of front excitation that is existing method. In the case using IST, we have observed that analyzed characteristic is not affected by the reduced computational domain of the side and top face in which evanescent field and radiation field is exist. Also, if we control the position of the inner source, we could effectively reject the influence of the reflective wave by mean of imperfective boundary condition. In this paper, by using IST, we have calculated dispersive characteristic and characteristic impedance of the microstrip. And we have calculated magnitude and phase of the scattering coefficient, and obtained equivalent circuit of the open microstrip end.
